The victim told deputies she was text messaging a friend when she noticed a black woman in her 20s. The woman said, “What are you looking at Whitey?”
The victim walked away, but was pulled back by her hair and had her head smashed against the wall. She fell to the floor where the attacker kicked her in the head, chocked her and repeatedly punched her.

The victim told deputies she did not know the assailant, who said after the beating, “Now you will know who I am. I own you, white girl.”
The assailant spit at her and asked her if she was going to cry now.
The victim screamed for help, but the class was in session at the time and there was nobody around.
