Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo Responds to Donald Trump Questioning His Greek Heritage

With just a few days left until the 2024 Presidential Election, former President Donald Trump questioned Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Greek heritage. He was at a rally in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Form when his comments were made.

“And tell me who has more Greek in him? The Greek or me?” Trump asked the crowd. “I think we have about the same, right? He is some.”

“I’m not aware of the comments,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said of the comments following the Milwaukee Bucks game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Fiserv Forum on Saturday night.

“At the end of the day, I don’t follow politics that much. And the little that I follow, I try to keep my political views to myself and my family. I’m here to, you know, win basketball games and not answer to non-basketball questions. But, I wish both candidates best of luck.”

The Bucks star was born in Athens, Greece, and is of Nigerian descent. He has remained prideful of his heritage over the years and has played with the Greek National Team.
