A member of a cartel blamed for the 2019 massacre of nine United States-Mexico dual citizens has been arrested.

Uriel ’18’ Valles Domínguez was apprehended by security forces in the northern Mexican municipality of Chihuahua City on Wednesday, two years after the barbaric incident that left three mothers and six children of a tight knit Mormon community dead.

Officials have yet to say what charges he faces, or his suspected links to the mass-slaughter.

Adrián LeBarón, whose daughter Rhonita Miller and four children were among the victims, went on his Twitter account to share a photo of Valles Domínguez.

‘They detained ’18,’ allegedly involved in the massacre of my daughter, grandchildren and other family members,’ LeBarón wrote. ‘I demand to be present at his arraignment. I need it!’

The Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office said that Valles Domínguez was wanted on an arrest warrant for organized criminal ties.

Embroiled in an all-out war with the Sinaloa Cartel’s Los Salazar armed wing, La Línea fighters intercepted three vehicles being driven by the three adult mothers on a remote road in the Sonora town of Bavispe. It has been said that the La Línea henchmen confused their SUVs with those that were part of Los Salazar’s fleet.

The attackers killed Christina Marie Langford Johnson after she stepped out of her vehicle to confront the shooters. Her seven-month-old daughter Faith Langford survived.

Dawna Ray Langford was driving her SUV with her nine children and was shot and killed after she was intercepted near Langford Johnson’s vehicle.

Langford’s two sons, Trevor, 11, and Rogan, 3, were murdered, while the other seven children escaped, including five who were wounded.

Approximately 10 miles down the road, the suspects launched an attack on Miller’s vehicle, killing her and her four children – eight-month-old twins Tiana Miller and Titus Miller, Howard Jr. Miller, 12, and Krystal Miller, 10.

The SUV was then set on fire with the entire family stuck inside.

Valles Domínguez is among more than 20 La Línea members who have been rounded up by security forces since the massacre, which was condemned by former United States President Donald Trump, who suggested military intervention to go after the suspects.

Freddy ‘El Totelca’ Calles Romero was apprehended June 23 by the military in the Chihuahua town of Moris.

Calles Romero, who is accused by prosecutors of being one of the attack’s main plotters, was arrested on aggravated homicide and organized crime charges.
