Intersectionality is going to some strange places.

A man chucked a paving stone at a restaurant window in Manhattan, according to police Wednesday — who are now investigating the incident as a hate crime after learning that the glass was a mural in tribute to Black History Month.

The suspect took the stone slab and tossed it through the glass window of Sapoara restaurant at 2262 First Ave. in East Harlem around 1:40 a.m. Monday, police said.

The window was painted in tribute to Black History Month, according to police, who say the Hate Crimes Task Force is looking into the matter.

Giselle Malave, 31, opened the eclectic food spot –– which serves Latin-Ameican infused cuisine –– three years ago. She told the Post she has been putting up the mural to celebrate Black History Month for the last two years.

The windows, she says, are double-paned –– painted on the left-side was a portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. and on the right-side Malcolm X.

Except that the alleged hate crimer is, based on this picture, is black. This is a Latino restaurant.

Whatever his motive for breaking the mural, it probably wasn’t racism. At least not against black people.

“I was stunned that something like this happened in this neighborhood. But then people started coming in, offering to help out and donate,” Peguero said. “The guy who did it was African-American. Who would believe that?”

The suspect is described as black and was wearing a blue hoodie and a black leather jacket.

The mural read: “Follow your dream by any means.”

Maybe this was his dream.
