Black Students United Calls for Cancelation of Blackout Protest

The Cornell chapter of Black Students United has called for the cancelation of the #ConcernedStudent2015 protest due to the “lack of people of color” involved.

In a message on Facebook this morning, the multicultural organization said they appreciated the “solidarity and interest of our allies across campus” but wanted the demo to be called off.

The protest’s Facebook event describes itself as a “powerful stance against racism and intolerance.”
