Girl, 16, Sentenced to State Prison for Brick-Bash Attack

Dana DiFillippo, Philly, January 14, 2015

To her family, 16-year-old Zaria Estes is a “considerate and caring” girl who likes tuna fish and dancing and doesn’t always keep her room clean.

But to Abbey Luffey’s family, Estes is the cold and calculating monster who attacked Luffey, a Temple University student, last March as Luffey walked with her boyfriend on the edge of campus. As she and her friends hunted prey for their sadistic game of “knock a bitch down,” Estes bashed Luffey in the face with a brick, leaving her with a broken jaw, palate and teeth–and a shattered sense of security.

Such dueling views of Estes prompted Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Erdos to acknowledge Wednesday the “difficult and delicate” balance required in deciding what punishment Estes should face for the unprovoked March 21 attack at 17th and Norris streets.

After a three-hour hearing, Erdos ordered Estes to serve two-and-a-half to six years in a state prison, followed by four years of probation for aggravated assault, conspiracy and possession of an instrument of crime. The sentence fell between the house arrest defense attorney Bill Davis had sought and the five- to 10-year sentence Assistant District Attorney Paul Goldman wanted.

Zaria Estes

While Erdos agreed Estes’ young age invited leniency so she could be rehabilitated, he said the gravity of her “hideous” crime and its impact on both Luffey and the community overall demanded a tough penalty.

{snip}

Two other teens who participated in the attacks–but used fists instead of bricks on their victims–are being tried in Family Court.

Estes sat stone-faced and still throughout the hearing, occasionally wiping tears quietly from her cheeks such as when about a dozen relatives and friends stood to voice their support for her.

She read a letter of apology to Luffey and insisted she’s not “a dangerous, cold-hearted teenager.”

“I lost my self-control and let my anger get control of me,” she said. “I have anger management issues. I am 100 percent willing to get help . . . I am so sorry and I sincerely apologize for my mistake.”

The word “mistake” enraged Luffey’s mother, who shook and sobbed as she testified about how the assault forever changed her daughter and their family.

She held up a photo of Luffey taken within hours of the attack, showing her daughter’s bloodied, toothless mouth beneath wide, shocked eyes.

{snip}

Abbey Luffey said she underwent several surgeries–and could face more, as her doctors said the trauma likely harmed her long-term dental health. Worse, though, is the persistent fear that has plagued her since her encounter with Estes, she said.

“I do not feel comfortable anywhere other than my house,” she said, crying. “I feel as though anyone on the street is trying to attack me. (Because of such paranoia,) I consider myself a burden now on everyone around me.”

Strange revelation, but actually relevant in regards to her new life in prison.

Your comment, although I’m sure was meant as humor, was both tasteless and classless. If the mere mention of the word ‘tuna’ makes you think of women of any variety, I believe you’ve been too close to females with horrendous hygiene problems. I hope you realize this.

Derogatory comments like this should not be used on a pro-white site. Keep them in the x-rated chat rooms where they belong. We have all become too desensitized but vulgarity is only hip to a deluded society. White men need to start being gentlemen again and white women need to behave like the ladies they once were. You can’t maintain a great civilization acting like trash.

Call me old-fashioned. It’s a badge of honor.

      • Of all the comments the parents could make about their child, they went with “she likes tuna fish”.
This, in context with possible (cough) prison love encounter(s)
(cough) presented an irony that needed to be addressed.

Underneath it all, the harshness of my post is also a reflection of the ill will I hold for this subhuman piece of filth who is not worthy to keep its life.

A word that more than likely describes the circumstances surrounding the birth of the ne’er-do-well in question.

How much more would it have cost those planters to hire the poor whites of the South?
We’re still paying the price in treasure and in BLOOd for what those bastards did. May they roast in Hades.

My brother hit the nail on the head with this quote. ” If you can’t work the land yourself or with your family or pay a wage to have another do it… then you have too much land.” The absolute greed of the southern elite was the downfall of the south. Just as today’s’ elite is the down fall of society today. It comes down to not wanting to pay a fair wage.

      • Cid Campeador

That sadly will have to wait for the introduction of a working “Time Machine”. Holdeth not thy breath.

  • To her family, 16-year-old Zaria Estes is a “considerate and caring” girl who likes tuna fish

She better get used to bologna.

“I lost my self-control and let my anger get control of me,” she said.

So why isn’t she going to prison for much longer?

“I am so sorry and I sincerely apologize for my mistake.”

The wrong dessert is a mistake. What you did is evil.

    • Oil Can Harry

Did the family remember to tell the judge “She be a GOOD KID”?

“She tryin’ to turn her life around.”

      “She be an aspirin’ rapper!”

      • She got caught up with the wrong crowd, never mind the fact that the “wrong crowd” in this case consisted of black girls all younger than her, one was eight years old.

        • Oil Can Harry

Every time a black thug’s family defends them by claiming “They fell in with the wrong crowd” I scream at my TV “The entire black community is the wrong crowd!”

          • The excuse is used so often that you walk away thinking that nobody is actually the wrong crowd, that everyone in the wrong crowd just happened to fall in with the wrong crowd.

“Anger”? Anger at what? Did these 2 women know each other? Seems not. Q: Where are the hate-crime mongers? A: Not coming… black-on-white ain’t in the script.

Anger at white people. Anger at being civilizationally incompatible with the dominant culture.

        • Seniorsquadldr

Apartheid is the only solution. We must separate ourselves from the Ubangis, we are causing them to act out. We need to give them their own place, I suggest Mississippi.

Anger at a beautiful white woman for being white and beautiful.

        • Veritas

I wonder what race the other women were that they attacked in “random” fashion? I think I know the answer and it definitely wasn’t random.

      • Ace

It’s maddening. This amazing admission that clearly establishes malice aforethought and not “mistake” just is left unexplored. It appears that the court and the prosecution just let that slide. Yes. What the heck was she angry about. This stuff about “mistake” is also clear evidence of her unwillingness to accept responsibility. She should have gotten more time.

    • Cid Campeador

She never HAD and “self control”. She saw a White girl and attempted and possibly suceeded, to maim her. NO RACIAL COMPONENT THERE!

Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Erdos to acknowledge Wednesday the ‘difficult and delicate‘ balance required in deciding what punishment Estes should face…”

Of course. With blacks, everything is ‘difficult and delicate.’

If the White girl had been able to have fought back and decked this black chick who was “just trying to turn her life around,” doncha know – Judge Difficult And Delicate would have sentenced her to Life + 99.

    • APaige

That is true. But I am shocked the she-boon received any time at all.

  • GeneticsareDestiny

I’m glad Zaria Estes got punished for the crime she committed. Far too many blacks get away with crimes like this and never spend a day in prison. The length of time seems a bit too lenient to me, but it’s better than nothing. I hope she at least does end up spending the allotted time in prison and doesn’t get out after a few months on parole.

    • Bill Moore

      Hello,

Perhaps when Zaria Estes gets out of prison, the father of Abbey Luffey could find a brick.

    • I have every confidence that she’ll screw up while on parole.

  • TonyWestfield

At least she didn’t read directly from the script of politicians who apologize “to anyone who may have been offended”…as though there are people who would NOT be offended. Ooops, I just remembered, there are plenty of creatures (I almost wrote “people”) who are not offended, some who even applaud the brick-slinging thug.

  • JohnEngelman

Erdos agreed Estes’ young age invited leniency so she could be rehabilitated.

    – Dana DiFillippo, Philly, January 14, 2015

Rehabilitation is seldom effective. Most criminals reveal what they are when they are teenagers. As they get older they move on to more serious crimes.

    • An ex-offender must rehabilitate himself. Nobody can do that for him.

      • MannyR

I would like to help this young women rehabilitate herself, with 40cal therapy. Just one session

    • Atheist Realist

well the purpose of prison is isolation (i.e. giving people a time-out from society). The point of rehabilitation is to figure out what these people are going to do once they get out since you don’t want recidivism.

      • JohnEngelman

The only factor that reliably reduces recidivism is age.

        • Russell Watson

No, not really, but a chair that is plugged into an outlet or a needle connected to an IV bag containing a lethal cocktail of drugs does.

        • DNA Explains It All

Bullets seem to work too. The addition of a blow hole in the cranium lowers recidivism considerably.

    • Seniorsquadldr

In order to rehabilitate anything, that thing must first have been habilitated. The typical Ubangi is a NQH savage.

  • MBlanc46

A “difficult and delicate” balance my left cheek. Life in prison without possibility of parole. Someone who could do this should never be allowed in “the world” again.

    • A Freespeechzone

2 1/2 to 6 year sentence—I’d be surprised if she serves anywhere near the minimum….

    • Usually Much Calmer

If she would cross the valley alone and understand the undertow for what it is she could trust regular people again and regain her normal life somewhat. It is not anyone on the street who would do this, after all.

Not quite a Devil’s bargain, but I’m sure it seems so to her at this point in time.

      • I honestly hope for the best for this beautiful White girl, including a move to any location that is clean, safe & lily White.

The story really fills me with rage on so many levels.

        • MannyR

White nationalists in her area need to reach out and lend a hand to this girl. Teach her how to shoot, how to get her CCL and let her know her there are people out there that have her back.

          • bilderbuster

The judicial process certainly didn’t have her back. There weren’t any White “community activists” or men of the cloth and of course there wasn’t a White politician ready to take up her cause.

        • Seniorsquadldr

          Apartheid is the only way.

    • Who Me?

I hope she has a really good psychiatrist to help her get through this.

  • Frank_DeScushin

Blacks relatives are amazing with the excuses they’ll make for their uber-violent relatives. Here we essentially see the classic claim that “she be good” even though the thugette smashed someone in the face with a brick because she was angry. Of course, there was no indication of an incident that provoked the anger, so I’ll assume that’s her natural state.

But now check out this black mom defending her thug son after he ruthlessly murdered an older white lady on Monday:

Moore’s mother, Shronda Burns, said her son wasn’t involved in the attack on Temple.

“My son ain’t going to shoot no gun,” Burns said. “Now, I’m not saying that he wouldn’t rob nobody, but I know he won’t shoot no gun.”

Burns said her son is well known in south Jackson.

“Every police (officer) up in there knows him,” Burns said. “My son is known for house burglary. That’s all his charges when he was going to the detention center was house burglary.”

Oh, just house burglaries? That’s all? He be a good boy.

Google “3 teens tied to almost a dozen crimes, police say” for the full story.

I made the mistake of watching Crooklyn, directed by Spike Lee. I hated it,and I especially disliked the little girl who was the main character. She was a nasty, horrible girl. I was curious about what other people thought of it, so I read some Netflix reviews. It was interesting that the reviews which you could tell were written by black people said the little girl was so sweet, and she reminded them of their sister. I don’t think any white person would find this awful child endearing. This just shows the difference in what white people think is good behavior and what black people find acceptable.

One life destroyed because a bunch of Black girls thought psychopathic behavior was a form of entertainment.

If you reversed the races on this crime, we’d be treated to all kinds of lectures about how “racism is still a big problem” and yadda yadda. The Black victim would probably be told that no one would blame her for hating Whites, given the circumstances. With that in mind, I would say that Ms. Luffey is completely justified if she never wants to associate with Blacks for the rest of her life.

    • Jacobite2

You can’t reverse the races. That’s the whole point. The stark fact is that for most blacks psychopathic behavior IS a form of entertainment.

Imagine how the 37,000 White women who have been raped by Blacks every single year must feel. Most of the time they have guns to their heads or knives at their throats and get a brutal beating in the process.

  • IstvanIN

I am convinced once someone has proven themselves incapable of living among civilized people they should be removed from society forever. This was a premeditated attack with a deadly weapon against a complete stranger for no reason other than the fact that she was White. This was no fight, no fit of anger. This wasn’t shoplifting some lipstick from a dime store. This wasn’t even a snatch and run purse snatching. This was an evil, heartless attack by a stupid, soulless creature who is irredeemable and will never be anything more than a burden and threat to society.

I truly believe that anyone, certainly anyone who has reached puberty, who can commit such an evil crime MUST be punished as an adult.

All school districts teach blacks to hate whites. Look at all the anti-white movies that have just come out recently: The Help, 12 Years a Slave, Selma, 42, Django Unchained, The Butler … I’m sure I am missing a few masterpieces.
Actually, all of society teaches blacks to hate whites. Churches, schools, universities, TV shows, hip-hop, politics. I was in the military in the early 90s and even then they would have “sensitivity sessions” where “experts” would talk about how evil white people are. Yeah – even the “conservative, right wing” military was no different. I can count the number of whites I have seen stand up to this hatred on one hand. Half stay silent and the other half joins in enthusiastically.
As I’ve said before, blacks do indeed have serious defects in terms of living in a civilized society. But what of whites (including the entire white ruling class in academia, government, religion, business, sports, Hollywood, etc.) who cater to them even as they rob, rape and murder us? Why do almost no whites fight back?
Other non-whites don’t let them into their nations or cater to them. For example, Mexico and Peru have small (maybe 1-2%) black communities from slave days but they treat Negroes there like Amos & Andy. Same with every other people but whites.

      • cherrie greenbaum123

We have this perverted quality that makes us feel guilty for being a superior race. Christianity is most likely the cause behind this, because other religions do not share this quality.

        • BernieGoetzFan

Yes, I agree to an extent. But most blacks are Christian and they are almost all racist. Hispanics are mostly Christian yet they are not importing blacks into Peru or Bolivia. Mexican gangs give at least as good as they get against blacks in prisons and on the streets.

          • TonyWestfield

Bernie, the senior religion is cultural Marxism, whose aim is to take down the winners. The junior religion, Christianity, with its message of charity and acceptance, is the perfect kryptonite to make the biggest winners (Whites) susceptible to the Marxist message. This is why non-White Christians still have their tribal/nationalist instincts intact; their Christian charity and acceptance, such as it is, extends to their own tribe/nation. Only Whites are affected by the one-two punch combination of Christianity and cultural Marxism, affected so profoundly that Whites eagerly engineer the take-down of the winners and smile while committing this suicide.

          • Yancy Derringer

I doubt any of the girls in this wolfpack have ever been made to go to church, not that church would change their feelings about whites.

          • Usually Much Calmer

Go to a black church sometime. You won’t recognize Christianity.

        • Usually Much Calmer

There is no Asian Man’s Burden. Lucky Orientals!

    • cherrie greenbaum123

The “Polar Bear Hunting” exemplifies this well.

    • Sick of it

They actually learn to hate us more in their “churches” than the schools. It’s pretty pathetic.

      • LexiconD1

…The learn it in their homes first, long before they attend school. Churches, and later schools, only solidify the message they learn at their homes.

    • Douglas Quaid

It’s true, this coming Monday (MLK-Day) is a high holy day of white bashing. I saw on the news local marches that happened yesterday, lots of black kids and their parent(s). They are being taught from a tender age they are victims and whites are the evil oppressors.

  • Speedy Steve

And a very happy Marxist Lucifer Kuhn’s birthday to you, too, sir!

Attempted homicide resulting in permanent injury is now considered a “mistake”? Good to know………………….I might just have to pay a few beasts a visit and “accidentally” hit them in the face with a brick………….but I promise to feel real bad afterwards………….

  • SentryattheGate

“A mistake”? Last night PBS had a program about a poor young black boy(15) in prison for armed bank robbery, resulting in a death. PBS introduced the show with “We all make mistakes….” In my several decades of life, I have never “made the mistake” of bashing someone in the face with a brick, or robbing a bank! Our language is being bastardized!

    • cherrie greenbaum123

It’s not just the language that’s being bastardized. Gnome sane?

    • Similarly, TPTB are linguistically reducing crimes and felonies to “bad choices.” Except that hurling bricks at someone’s face isn’t a “bad choice” because it can’t be a choice at all, because criminal statutory law or beyond that the precepts of morality and common decency remove that choice from our buffet of options.

To say that a violent crime is a “bad choice” is in a linguistic linguine sense to legitimize violent crime.

    • phillyguy

      PBS, that says it all.

    • Douglas Quaid

Yeah, I’ve made many mistakes in life, from wrong answers on tests, to buying a car from a sleazy used car salesman (The trans blew within a month), to renting a house I simply couldn’t afford. Those are mistakes. A mistake is when you become a victim of a poor choice that you made. Bashing another human being’s face in with a brick seems to transcend the category of “mistake”, but hey, maybe I’m just splitting hairs here.

Think of how insulting it is to the victim, and her family, for the savage attacker to posture as a victim, that’s what’s going on when she calls this a “mistake”.

      • Charles Martel

Maybe she was trying to hit the other white girl next to her!

    • Yancy Derringer

True. A mistake is an action that produces unwanted results. That black girl achieved her desired results. The white girl’s mother understands this perfectly clearly.

    • TCA

      Never?
Oh come on. We’ve all hit people in the face with a brick, and most of us more than once.
What if your girlfriend’s kid eats the last piece of cheesecake?
You expect me to believe you wont hit him with a brick?
      Ni&&a, please!

    • Usually Much Calmer

A white man in Michigan thinks a first person account posted on AmRen is interesting. He must own this ‘mistake’ forever. Relativism is relative, it turns out.

  • dd121

Of course it was a mistake. Now do your time and shut up.

  • Bill Moore

    Hello,

I suppose its natural for an African to feel intense jealousy for the natural beauty of a Caucasian woman.

And want to bash the Caucasian woman in the face with a brick.

That’s why the Africans should be sent back to Africa.

It’s mean of us to keep them here where they see beautiful Caucasian women every day and then the African looks in a mirror and sees their primitive unattractive image.

    Just My Thoughts,
    Bill Moore

  • TL2014

May that young woman Zaria burn in hell forever and ever.

  • Bill Moore

    Hello,

Perhaps when Zaria Estes gets out of prison, the father or brother of Abbey Luffey could find a brick. Or a baseball bat.

    Thank you,
    Bill Moore

  • Magician

EVERYtime a young black physically assaults a white person or ends a young white person’s life, her mom or lawyer says

“She (he) wuz a good keed who wuz turning his life aroUnd”

“She (he) wuz a gentle giant”

What kind of a person who was turning his life around attacks another person with a brick

What kind of a gentle giant punches a police officer in the eye socket and attempts to seize the gun fron the officer

    • Usually Much Calmer

And what have you done by 16 that it needs ‘turning around’?

  • Evette Coutier

This is one time Sharia law makes sense. Whip her 100 times with a cane and put her in jail for 3 years. Send her family the bill for all medical expenses the white girl incured, and if they can’t pay it, whip them too.

  • cherrie greenbaum123

Temple is a black university. Such compassionate, giving, funny, sincere, respectful negroes have graduated from there. Like Bill Cosby.

    • Yancy Derringer

      Temple undergrads: 16,700 Whites (60%), 3,700 Blacks (13%), 2,800 Asians (10%), 1,500 Hispanics (5%).

      • Charles Martel

I think the danger is that it is located in a predominantly black neighborhood.

        • Cid Campeador

          Exactly!

    • Cid Campeador

YEs. They used his TV series as his Doctoral Dissertation.

  • Valmont

Just looked at the photo of Zaria Estes. I thought it was the other girl who took a brick in the face.

  • Who Me?

Peel about 40 lbs of government cheese off the one in the middle (the one sentenced today) and she’d look remarkably like the eldest Obama spawn.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Don’t diss the kids. But the resemblance really is remarkable.

  • Who Me?

There is something about attacking another person in the face with a brick that is out past many other forms of attack that might potentially be more lethal. I don’t know, just something about it is so…so…SAVAGE. And to be used by one girl against another that she doesn’t know, has never seen before and has had no interaction with? Pure savage evil + racial hatred of the White girl’s natural beauty.

    • Spikeygrrl

A little OT: How do you know that the victim was beautiful? The White race has its fair share of fuglies of both sexes.

      • Who Me?

Somebody here posted a picture of her. Maybe not supermodel material, but certainly not enough to induce nightmares in small children. Most healthy young white people are at least marginally attractive. As to the few really fugly ones, they still don’t deserve to get bashed in the face by a savage wielding a brick.

  • Cid Campeador

I made a comment as to the danger of the Temple U campus and the redundancy of Black speech. It was immediately deleted. Nothing I said was a violation of the standards.

  • Lygeia

The judge said it was a “difficult and delicate balance” deciding what punishment to give to this thug who engaged in assault and battery?

The law is very clear on this. This is a crime against not just the woman whose face has now been irreparably shattered by a brick (broken teeth, broken jaw, God know what else) and her beauty destroyed, because that was the point — but against civilized society.

I think 35 years in prison without the possibility of parole is in order.

    • JohnEngelman

I would have an easy time deciding what punishment to give to the thugs who assaulted and battered me. I would like to administer it myself.

      • Usually Much Calmer

I’d pay to see you lose your cool! (J/K, of course)

besides this black beast jail time, the judge should have ordered to have her tubes tied. she will only produce unfathered baby Negroes and a free ride for housing, food and money for the rest of her life.

    • Douglas Quaid

I’ve never been a supporter of forced sterilization, however, after seeing repeated examples of inter-generational black criminality, welfare fraud, dysfunctional homes, and rampant irresponsibility all funded by public graft, I’ve warmed up to the idea of forced sterilization.

        Hysterectomy now!!!

    • Earl Turner

She’s 16 so she has probably squirted out at least 3 future felons already.

  • Who Me?

“The government should also pay additional compensatoin to the victim of the assault for 1) Endangering their population through encouraging multicultural policies that do not work and not 2) For not providing sufficient warning to young Whites as to their potential to be victims of black violence.”
    ——————————
Very good idea. Also to prevent any additional burden on the taxpayers, the payments to the victims should be deducted from the perpetrators welfare, food stamps, etc.

  • meanqueen

Just get rid of the criminal class once and for all.

  • Douglas Quaid

Yeah, I bashed your face in with a brick for nothing more than kicks and giggles…My bad.

What was “boyfriend” doing during the attack? Was he a ““knock a bitch down” victim too?

  • Yancy Derringer

Temple University, the University of Chicago, USC, Georgia Tech, Johns Hopkins, Yale… with our cities falling to the black undertow, many of our finest institutions of higher learning now sit next to ghettoes, or at least predominantly black, and thus dangerous neighborhoods. At all of them, student safety at the perimeters and beyond is a major problem. To enroll at any of these schools is to accept increased risk of robbery, assault and battery, rape, and murder. It’s worse than ever now, with the Obama gang and our major media whipping up blacks’ hatred of whites with the false black victimization dramas of Trayvon, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner.

The account is new. That person is clearly trolling.

        • Beautiful Asian Woman

Oh hon I was looking for a place where I could find all those nice white boys who love us Asian women

  • Cid Campeador

I grew up in North Philadelphia and watched it’s progression from a nice Italo-American and Irish/American neighborhood to a fear filled Hell Hole. The neighborhood once carried the name of North Penn or Swampoodle. Now it’s called the Badlands.
Temple University, South of the “old neighborhood” is a great institution but they chose to stay within the N. Philly area instead of enlarging their Ambler campus. Quite a few student lost their lives there over the years and many more suffered rapes, beatings and other assorted atrocities. It’s pretty much the same with all our “higher learning” institutions that remained in urban areas. I had an “experience” one evening back in the mid 60s in the Susquehanna Avenue Subway station. I, unlike the starry eyed students from nice suburban areas, was savvy enough to survive it.

The recruiting of unqualified “athletes” many of whom are one basket or touchdown from the penal system have also undermined the safety of our Colleges and Universities.

  • ElComadreja

The only thing this sub-human is sorry about is the fact that it got caught.

  • panopticon1984

She may claim to be sorry on the advice of her attorney, but she has the eyes of a hyena scanning a herd of zebras for her next meal.

  • “I lost my self-control and let my anger get control of me.”

I would love to hear Estes explain just what it was that the victim did to make her “angry”. People like Luffey get jobs when they graduate college, and then pay taxes to support freeloaders like Estes. What part of that situation is there for her to be angry about? If I was stupid and ugly, I would be unhappy about that as well, but “stupid, ugly and violent” doesn’t exactly improve things. When she’s eventually released, we’ll have “stupid, ugly, violent, unemployable and with a parole officer on her case”.

    • Ultimate187

I think in many cases there’s no reason at all. Blacks have inherently less impulse control than other races.

      • Ohmy!

Or, they’re just inherently mean-spirited (a/k/a bullies). I have black co-workers who are this way. They don’t like white people.

    • Harry

I am by no means a fan of Tawana Brawley but I believe that she was a 15 year old girl that was used by Al Sharpie to help push his anti-white agenda. Ape Sharpton started dropping names and got her to go along with it. 25+ years later, one is “living in the lap of luxury” and the other is condemned to a life of unemployment and poverty.

  • Ohmy!

Despite Zaria’s claims to the contrary, she is “a dangerous, cold-hearted teenager.” Zaria belongs in prison, away from society. She can blame her parents and her black community for how she has turned out.
