Most Voters Want to Send Latest Illegal Immigrants Home ASAP

Rasmussen, July 17, 2014

Most voters don’t want any of the young illegal immigrants who’ve recently arrived here housed in their state and say any legislation passed by Congress to deal with the problem should focus on sending them home as soon as possible.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the primary focus of any new immigration legislation passed by Congress should be to send the young illegal immigrants back home as quickly as possible. Just 27% say it should focus instead on making it easier for these illegal immigrants to remain in the United States. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided. {snip}

Advocates for the illegal immigrants argue that they are flooding into the country to escape violent situations in their home countries, but just 31% of U.S. voters think they are coming here now for their own safety. Most voters (52%) believe they are coming here for economic reasons. Seventeen percent (17%) are not sure.

Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, who last week criticized efforts to deport these illegal immigrants, is now reportedly the latest governor to tell the White House not to house any of them in his state. Fifty-seven percent (57%) of voters disapprove of housing these illegal immigrants in their state. Only half as many (29%) approve, while 14% are undecided.

Voters are more uncertain, however, when it comes to the $3.7 billion in new spending that President Obama has asked for from Congress to deal with these new illegal immigrants. Twenty-six percent (26%) think Congress should approve the president’s request even if it does not provide for quicker deportation of these illegals, but 40% oppose approval if money for sped-up deportation is not included. One-in-three voters (34%) are not sure.

Earlier this month, a plurality (46%) of voters said the Obama administration, through its statements and policies, has encouraged this latest wave of illegal immigration.

Black voters are more sympathetic to the illegal immigrants than whites and other minority voters are.

Fifty-two percent (52%) believe the government is not aggressive enough in deporting illegal immigrants. Just 14% think the government is too aggressive in this area.

Also consistent with surveying for years, 58% of voters believe gaining control of the border is more important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers already living in this country.  {snip}

Just 27% say it should focus instead on making it easier for
these illegal immigrants to remain in the United States.”

In a normal country (you know – the way we used to be – that number would’ve been around 1% – and they would have been carted off to Bellevue or Creedmoor (mental institutions).

    • Tom_in_Miami

I too was shocked that there are so many, 27% of the population, who want more of the illegals. I wonder if the 27% come from areas where there are no Latinos to get to know.

      • John R

No, they come from areas with NO Latinos, or they ARE Latinos. See my post above.

      • bilderbuster

        Or Marco Rubio’s Miami.

    • Paleoconn

True, but when you think of how many batshit crazy liberals are in our midst, that figure can be seen as astoundingly low.

  • c684570

How come these Mexicans don’t want to live in areas with a lot of Mexicans? Are they racist?

    • TruthBeTold

THEY know what Mexicans are really like.

      • c684570

So the same logic used by Whites in Arizona then? So how come only Whites are called racist for this?

    • John R

Uhhh, and how come blacks resent Whites so much, yet can’t stay away from us? Haven’t we had this conversation before?

  • Okay, so how did we end up in a situation where “deportation” is a political cuss word in Official America?

    • jane johnson

The same way “discrimination” stopped being a synonym for “good taste”, and became a federal offense.

  • Luca

The media has been painting this one as “Unaccompanied Minors” but every picture I have seen on the news shows them with young mothers or else they are teenage males.

Are we to believe that all of a sudden these young people decided to trek thousands of miles on their own to another country where they don’t know the language? Did they all have a mass hallucination or paranormal experience whereby they were all mysteriously directed to do this simultaneously?

Yet another contrived, orchestrated crisis compliments of the Neo-Marxists.

    • MekongDelta69

An “unaccompanied minor” used to mean a 16 y/o kid who couldn’t get a date to the prom, so he went alone!

Geez – I am ‘so yesterday.’

      • Spikeygrrl

I must be day before yesterday, because when I was in high school, “going stag” to ANY school dance was prohibited. You either got a date or stayed home.

      • RisingReich

Me also, and I’m only 34…but I was raised by a WWII gen father who survived the depression and crazy Japs fighting for honor..

It’s really no wonder I struggle to identify with people my age. Most of them are deaf, dumb, and stupid…no matter the subject.

    • John R

A “Children’s Crusade” organized by Cultural Marxists and their leaders Barrack Obama and Eric Holder.

      • bilderbuster

And funded and promoted by the usual suspects.

  • dd121

When did the government start ruling us instead of serving us?

    • MekongDelta69

I’m gonna go with 1964 for Two Thousand Alex…

  • TruthBeTold

Does anyone in our government care what we the people want anymore?

It seems like they have their agenda and then they work to get us to go along with them, ‘for the good of America’.

    • John R

Yeah, I thought we were a what’s the word? A democracy? Yep, the people that do the work and pay the taxes, what the hell do we know? Seriously, there is no limit to the contempt that these elites have for average Americans.

      • Spikeygrrl

We are not, and never have been, a democracy (thank goodness!). We are, and have always been, a constitutional representative republic.

        • IstvanIN

Except Americans haven’t had any representation in Congress for many decades.

          • Spikeygrrl

Would you rather have the low-IQ “gimme” hordes who are incapable of looking ahead even as far as their next meal voting directly on every issue from issuing food stamps to declaring war?

            …cue crickets…

What we have now seems awful, but there are governing structures far, far worse. By leaving our constitutional representative republic structure intact, we can at some point (at least theoretically) bounce back from the current socialist madness. Under direct democracy we wouldn’t have a prayer; there are always more have-nots than haves, and have-nots will always vote themselves more “gimmes” even when to do so is fiscal and/or cultural suicide.

          • IstvanIN

Uh, drop the crickets toots, we are not going to vote our way out of this. Between the monied elite, the ignorant hordes, and the good-hearted fools, no way are we voting out of this.

          • Spikeygrrl

I’m not your toots. And if you don’t vote, you forfeit your right to complain.

          • IstvanIN

I vote, Miss Food Stamps, and my vote hasn’t made a gosh darn difference.

          • SentryattheGate

As Ben Franklin said “Democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for supper!”.

        • Paleoconn

This Republic is just as bad. As depraved and decadent as democracy inevitably degenerates to. We have a Constitution that politicians going all the way back to Lincoln deemed to be a living document. Of course we all know that if our Constitution is living, it might as well be dead.

          • IstvanIN

      • Do you ever wonder why these elites hate White Americans so much?

        • bilderbuster

They have hated Europeans where ever they live for the last 2000 years.

        • Garrett Brown

          Jooz have always hated Whites.

  • Patriot’s Notebook

Don’t forget that these ‘dreamers’, in the eyes of dems and libs ‘make better Americans’ than those who built this country.

The ONLY way, in my opinion, that we stop this invasion of filthy, diseased vermin is for MILLIONS of Patriots to rise up and practice Civil Disobedience and force the cowardly politicians to close our borders.

The dems, libs, Obama and rinos get away with this lawless behavior because few will actually take an action to retake American Rights back….from filthy, diseased, vermin illegals.

    • Tom_in_Miami

You will be waiting a long time before you will see politicians or law enforcement obeying the law and putting the illegals out of the country. It will take millions of patriotic citizens to do that and things will get nasty along the way.

  • Steven Williams

In the US, anyone who is not European descent or native is an “illegal immigrant”. All blacks, Latinos, Asians, Jews and mixed race are illegals and face eviction.

    • Sick of it

Not to mention muslims of all creeds and colors.

      • bilderbuster

        White Muslims. LOL!

        • Garrett Brown

    • Zimriel

That’s not the US as it is. That’s the US your previous posts here suggest you want. Assuming they reflect your actual mindset, and aren’t just trolls.

  • John R

Just 27% of likely voters say our immigration policy should focus on making it easier for illegals to stay in the country? Hmmm….add up the number of blacks that hate America, the “Latinos” that are eligible to vote, and a few filthy rich White people, who want cheap labor….(punching my calculator…)…comes down to, just a minute….27%! Damn, am I good!

  • Spikeygrrl

I am SO hoping that this will be the issue which breaks the monolithic liberal voting bloc’s back in November, and again in 2016. Every time I read in a new/different source that the knee-grows are angry at their Messiah for wooing another demographic with the “free stuff” they were so sure was irrevocably earmarked for them, I grow more hopeful that Soetoro has finally overplayed his hand. Clearly, nobody bothered to teach him when he was young that it’s very bad form not to leave the party with the girl(?) that you came in with.

    • RisingReich

If you STILL think voting yourself out of this mess is possible, well, oh, I don’t even know where to start. LOL – look at the ‘possible candidates’ your Stupid party are considering for 2016 and tell me that you really believe they want and/or are capable of enacting any real change towards normalcy.

      • Spikeygrrl

In electoral terms, November 2014 is still far off and November 2016 is practically forever. Who knows — certainly not you or me! — whose stars will rise and fall before then? Barry Soetoro “came out of nowhere” in 2008; who’s to say — certainly not you or me! — that his conservative counterpart may not do the same in 2016?

        • You’re still in the matrix.

          • Spikeygrrl

I don’t pretend science fiction is real. Do you?

          • Yep…..wish i could summarize 2000+ yrs of history in just a few sentences. All i can say is…question EVERYTHING.

    • bilderbuster

Blacks love Barry and aren’t jealous if he shows a little love to the Browns anymore than they mind sharing him with homosexual White people because as long as Barry’s in charge then “theyz da prezdent”.

  • Alucard_the_last

I hope they bring in turd world diseases that infect all of those who support this invasion.

    • RisingReich

What about the health of yourself and your children? All of you are also at risk.
You’d think blood would be in the streets by now.

Now if we can just get those opposed to the LATEST bunch of illegals (the children) to also support the immediate deportation of ALL the rest of them, I will say they are on to something……

  • As Mekong notes in his comment, the percentage supporting illegals is surprisingly high. I guess that would be blacks (stupid of them, but they’re always acting stupid), most Mexicans and Cubans, all immigrants already here, and libtard whites.
All of these groups want to wrest political power away from whites, while trashing what’s left of the Constitution (already in tatters). The stupid Hindus, muzzies, Asians, and white libtards have no conception of what life would be like under thurd world Mexxxican minds. A vertibable hell on earth is in the making and many are rushing headlong to support that hell.
It’s not the way we’ve treated the Hindus and others. It’s just that they are jealous of our white skin, our beautiful women, our creativity, our superior brain power, our remarkable self control and our organizational abilities.
While at the university I saw how a group of essentially lazy Mexxxican administrators mismanaged everything, all the while pompous and full of themselves. If it weren’t for the white faculty, the place would disintegrate. That’s Mexxxicans for you. And let me add the sexual harassment of women, spending all day trading stocks, and not showing up for work for months at a time.

    • Sick of it

The % of supporters is not all that high, considering that America is likely only 60% white, or less, at present.

      • Spikeygrrl

I think the number is unexpectedly and encouragingly low! The relevant comparison is to the % of voters who BEFORE THIS (deliberately manufactured) CRISIS BROKE still approved of Barry Soetoro and his regime. We are CLEARLY seeing a significant chunk of the indigent knee-grow voting bloc fleeing the Soetoro plantation; they are incensed that “their” free stuff is now being given away to a rival “oppressed minority.” And from that humble beginning, I am hopeful that the rest of those dominoes begin to fall.

    • Pro_Whitey

I think the percentage is high because the question is usually presented in isolation, as if the admittance of the infiltrators has no effect on the native population. If people were asked if they wanted to put up with fewer job opportunities, lower wages, degraded working conditions, higher crime, more disease, less available healthcare, higher taxes and fewer public resources due to their absorption by the invaders, and the effect of giving the invaders “affirmative action” preferences, then I think we could shrink the 27% and 14% figures dramatically.

      • Zaporizhian Sich

Add to that the invaders seizing political power then using it to impoverish, displace, then massacre whites.

  • willbest

so what if they are escaping violence. How many dead innocent American citizens is it worth to protect 1000 illegals from violence? Everybody that supports amnesty is an accomplice to murder.

    • Zaporizhian Sich

Indeed, but supporters of amnesty are the cause of the ongoing genocide against white Americans.

  • sulbernick

And yet, as in every other Western country, the people that rely on the voting public’s support continue to act against the wishes of the voting public. There’s something not quite right there.

    • me

      Ya think?!

  • LHathaway

Let me guess. . before reading any comments. . . 31% of AmRener’s think they Should flee violence, that of Native born Americans. . . or at least our law enforcement surrogates.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

Most voters don’t want any of the young illegal immigrants who’ve recently arrived here …Congress should focus on sending them home as soon as possible.

Too bad the GOP doesn’t have the sense to take up this issue and run with it going into the mid-term elections.

They might appeal to their base instead of pandering to non-Whites and they can’t have that.

    • Who Me?

How come all the “unaccompanied children” in the middle picture look like full-grown, able-bodied MEN?

  • RisingReich

The money angle was solidified in 1913. The demographic angle solidified 1964. The chaos and genocide angle solidified 2008.

Most Voters Want to Send Latest Illegal Immigrants Home ASAP

Unfortunately what most people want doesn’t mean diddly squat to our politicians. Isn’t this a great country?

  • Paleoconn

O’Malley, classic do-gooder liberal. ‘You can’t send them back! Surely you can find some place for them in these 50–ahem!–49 states!’

    • Who Me?

      I thought it was 57?

  • MBlanc46

I hope that this is a sign that Americans are finally going to wake up. I hope it’s not too late.

  • MBlanc46

Thanks very much for that. We’re out of town Fri and Sat, but I’ll keep this site in mind for info about future actions.

  • IKUredux

First of all, I don’t believe these polls. If you spend time talking to your neighbors, friends, and relatives, even those who have been sanguine about immigration, are now freaking out. It’s the diseases stupid! These invaders are no longer viewed as poor people seeking a better life. (By that, I mean living off White taxpayers). Nope, they are now considered to be vectors of contagious diseases. Which they are. This whole entire exercise reeks of manipulation. Seriously? All of a sudden, these Central American countries are awful. They have ALWAYS been awful. Come on, why aren’t we seeing children from Costa Rico and Belize flooding our border? You know why? These countries have either substantial White populations and /or capitalism. Gosh! Gee Whillikers! Is there a pattern here? Huh? DUH!!!

  • 1G25

Sending the invaders “home” entails expensive trips to Honduras, Guatemala, etcetera.

Tattoo them and dump them across the Mexican border – Mexico is totally complicit in their traverse up and into the USA.

Found up here with a “been here” tattoo, ten years on the chain gang cleaning up America’s highways and public lands.

  • Zaporizhian Sich

I want them rounded up, and expelled. As for the gang bangers among them, they should be hunted down by soldiers, police and citizens alike and killed as the enemy insurgents they are. If things ever reach that point, there’s no doubt plenty of whites who would have no qualms about shooting them.

  • MooTieFighter

Anyone that does not realize this is all orchestrated has been drinking too much Kool-Aid.

    • FransSusan

Oh, yes, it absolutely is—orchestrated by the corrupt, US government. These third-world free-loaders couldn’t afford to come here on their own. You know the government is paying—using these aliens as political pawns.

  • Alexandra1973

Unaccompanied minor is the term used for people under 18 using trains, planes and buses other than city buses and commuter trains.

  • ConservativePrincess

The 27% should be deported along with all the illegal immigrants for betraying their own country.
