Australian PM Says Asylum Seeker Policy Tough

Rod McGuirk, Yahoo! News, February 7, 2014

Prime Minister Tony Abbott said Friday that no asylum seeker had reached Australia by boat in 50 days, the longest period since 2008, describing the measures to turn them back as tough but effective.

Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported that the Australian navy sent 34 asylum seekers from Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal who attempted to reach Australia aboard a rickety Indonesian boat back to the main Indonesian island of Java on Wednesday night in a lifeboat.

The government maintained its policy of refusing to say whether it had ever turned back asylum seekers who attempt to reach Australia by boat. Abbott has likened Australia’s operations against people smuggling to a war footing, and border policing activities are shrouded in unprecedented secrecy.

“I’m pleased that we’ve now had 50 days without an illegal boat arriving in Australia, and the message is getting out loud and clear to the people smugglers and their would-be customers that the way is shut . . . you will not pass,” Abbott said.

In other changes under the new government, Australia is refusing to permanently resettle genuine refugees who arrive by boat and will not allow their relatives to come to Australia under family reunion schemes open to other refugees.

Indonesian government officials oppose Australia’s policies introduced after the government was elected in September last year as an abuse of Indonesian territorial sovereignty.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa has described the Australian navy providing the lifeboats to transport foreigners to Indonesian shore as potentially worse.

“This kind of policy of transferring people from one boat to another and then directing them back to Indonesia is not really helpful,” Natalegawa told the ABC, referring to the latest lifeboat arrival.

Crews on boats smuggling people often resort to sabotaging engines or sinking their vessels to avoid their ships being turned back.

This… sounds too good to be true. Is it possible a White government is actually doing the right thing? Did they escape from under the control of our enemies ?

    • SirMe

This White government in Australia still allows 150,000 legal immigrants/refugees to arrive per year, nothing much really changes..

      • Spartacus

Well then, now you know what they have to do next…

    • NeanderthalDNA

I still like Barlow’s “vicious self interest” ideas from the 1951 SciFi classic, “The Marching Morons”.

      Go Aussies!

    • dukem1

How the heck ca an Indonesian “government official” try and defend the rights of his fellow citizens to get the heck out of his own country….
What does this chap know that he is keeping from the rest of us?

  • wildfirexx

Now if only Canada and America could follow suit!
Canada is in the process of revamping their immigration and refugee rules, but it’s very weak compared to Australia.

    • Einsatzgrenadier

Unfortunately for Canada, the government remains extremely ideologically committed to the race replacement and ethnic cleansing of white Canadians. This is why Canada has the highest per-capita immigration rate in the world; they can’t replace us fast enough! We must have our 250,000 permanent immigrants and 400,000 foreign students, migrant workers and other assorted parasites until Canada is demographically transformed into a wonderful multicultural utopia.
Even during recessions and high unemployment, we are still flooded with hundreds of thousands of these third world parasites and moochers.

There have been some very minor reforms, but they are just window dressing compared to what is really needed: a permanent moratorium on all third world immigration, followed by repatriation of those non-white foreigners already in the country.

      • dukem1

You think that’s bad…Try living in the US!

      • wildfirexx

A good short read on the Canadian dilemma is George Jonas: Multiculturalism encourages a new type of immigrant who shares are wealth but not our values @ National Post.

  • bigone4u

Doing what makes common sense is rare among politicians today, most of whom are multiculturalists. If Australia can stick to its guns, then the West has a role model to follow. Meanwhile, I keep reading about the mass protests in France. At least in some places, good things are happening. Now, if only the US would follow suit.

    • Long Live Dixie

Now, if only the US would follow suit.

There is no chance of that happening. The US courts overrule even modest attempts at immigration restrictions. The collapse of the US is the only hope for racial survival on this continent.

      • Peter Connor

We could, of course, follow Andrew Jackson(and Bill Clinton) and simply ignore nonsensical court orders.

  • borogirl54

I think this “asylum seeker” thing is a bunch of bull. These are economic migrants who want to come to Australia for a better life. If they were true asylum seekers, they would be happy to stay in Indonesia and build a life there since it is a Muslim nation and the majority of the asylum seekers are Muslim.

    • 1stworlder

Well they want to get away from the punishment of being around people like them

      • dukem1

Like Groucho Marx said…”I do not want to be in a club that would have a person like me as a member!”

  • Long Live Dixie

BUT, This action against illegal immigrants has been condemned by the UN.

I would like to see Australia stand up and say: “Australia is for Australians and if the UN doesn’t like it, they can go straight to Hell!”.

    I know I’m just dreaming.

    • NeanderthalDNA

The UN is just a great big brownie White genocide club.

  • Brian Cooper

These so-called asylum seekers are nothing more than parasites whose sole intention is to live on the welfare gravy train for the rest of their lives. They are ably assisted by Muslim doctors who sign the documents required so that some of them are put onto the Disability Support pension which pays them a much higher pension, and so it goes on.

There is a high rate of offending by these people despite the fact that they haven’t even been accepted as refugees yet, but are living in the community. We have had them arrested and charged for anything from theft, to indecent assault, rape and murder. They can’t stay out of trouble before they are determined to be genuine refugees.

They main way many of these third world hoards seem to get here is to come here on student visas, then spend their time here either working or looking for either an Australian to marry, or someone with permanent residence. I hear about this regularly.

The strange thing is this……they come here as students with virtually no English language skills, study for their degrees (those that study), get their degree and wonder why they can’t find a job in their field of study. They don’t stop to think about why they were graduated. The fact is, their parents spend a lot of money for their children to come to an Australian university, so the universities allow these students to graduate (bad for the education industry if too many foreign students are failed), but we can’t understand why they can graduate when their English language skills are so bad.

I heard one woman state that Australia is racist because she couldn’t get a job in the IT industry, but the truth is, she can hardly speak English, so who would employ her?

  • Bantu_Education

“it is continually challenged by the Greens, liberal church leaders and some “liberal” politicians.”

In other words “the usual suspects”?

    • Katherine McChesney

It recognizes the pope as the leader of ‘christians’. Roman Catholicism is in control thanks to the Society of “Jesus”.

  • IstvanIN

Could Australia actually have a PM who supports God, Queen and Country? Keep your fingers crossed, I believe it when the White Australia policy comes back, although probably under a different name.

    • Einsatzgrenadier

Don’t get your hopes up. Abbott just wants to stop the boat people from coming, not the legal and far more massive third world immigration that threatens to displace white Australians. As far as Abbott and the rest of the traitorous Oz government are concerned, Australia’s future is Asia.

      • IstvanIN

In other words genocide. Sad, if they truly supported “diversity” they would see the value of a British outpost in the Pacific, instead of just becoming another Oriental mishmosh.

    • Long Live Dixie

How could someone reconcile supporting Australian survival and supporting the treacherous Queen?

  • Truth Teller

Australia doesn’t want them, Indonesia doesn’t want them. Maybe they should go back to their various cesspoolastans

  • wildfirexx

The EU commission is nothing more than a puppet for the Liberal minded NWO control freaks, who want to turn the West into a third World Cesspool.

  • wildfirexx

It may be paying Uganda to take them, and then Uganda shipping them to Sweden!
I’d rather they stay in Israel then go to Sweden. Sweden has more than enough!

  • IstvanIN

The FGM thing might appeal to the refugees.

  • silviosilver

If it wasn’t for the insanity of leftards a thousand and one options would be on the table for dealing with the problem. But leftards are one thousand percent devoted to committing racial and cultural suicide, the sooner the better. There isn’t a psychological theory in existence that comes close to explaining leftard total racial insanity so for now we’re left with guesswork.

  • wildfirexx

All for One and One for All!

  • Capt. Bryant

Australia needs to give guns back to it’s citizens.

  • saxonsun

Not all of us. Asians are imperialists and therefore dangerous to the West.

  • BonV.Vant

Sending africans to Sweden is not acceptable. Israel is saying that they are not part of the western , european community when they do this. One does not dump garbage in one’s own community!

  • Brian Cooper

Yes, and they will be expecting us to adjust to their ways and customs. The thing that I can’t understand is this……he took her to Centrelink to find out what benefits he could obtain as her guadian, but as a student, he would not be entitled to anything from Centrelink. It is amazing how these filth think they can grab a slice of taxpayers money without any sort of embarrassment.

  • PROUD TO BE WHITE

As a citizen of Australia I have my doubts that this policy
is genuine or at least one that will be maintained. Like all political parties
in the west, and Australia is no exception, they are subject to the whims of
that middle eastern tribe who shall not be named and who decide what is good public
policy and what is bad public policy. To me it is another case of “smoke and
mirrors” to keep the “lemmings” happy. Abbott like all western politicians will
do as he is told by his “not-to-be-named” masters. Recall that Abbott along
with Howard took Australia into a war with Iraq. The first excuse was Saddam
had weapons of mass-destruction. When none were found the next reason was that
Saddam is a bad man. Well we in the west have been supporting bad men for
decades. The last reason was that we were there to give them democracy. Well
there are lots of countries we support and others we ignore who have never
subscribed to democracy. The real reason was that Israel wanted him out of the
way because he wanted to sell oil in a currency other than petro-dollars.
Without the petro-dollar US currency would be worthless and without US currency
that “not-to-be-named” tribe would have no controlling influence in world
affairs, and no big brother to protect them. So next time you have an
opportunity to visit Arlington think hard on the fact that good, decent and
honest American youth have died needlessly to make life good for Israel.
Further reflect upon the Lavon Affair and the attack on the USS Liberty. The
people responsible for their deaths are the same people Tony Abbott and all
other Australian politicians, along with those in the USA, Canada and the UK love
    and grovel to.

    • emiledurk16

      excellent paragraph

  • Herman

White people are running out of places to hide.
Do we eventually move to Northern Canada or Siberia to get away from hordes of non-white immigrants?
Guess what? They will follow us there.
