The Hatemonger Next Door

Lauren M. Fox, Salon, September 29, 2013

Richard Spencer sat sipping his chai latte at the Red Caboose, a train-themed coffee shop in downtown Whitefish, Mont. Clean-cut and restrained, he reminded me of a hundred outdoors-obsessed people I had known growing up here in the Flathead Valley, a resort area nestled in the shadows of Glacier National Park.

But Spencer’s tidy appearance is about more than his sense of propriety; it’s a recruitment tool. Spencer advocates for white separatism and he wants to shake his movement’s  reputation for brutality and backwardness.

“We have to look good,” Spencer said, adding that if his movement means ”being part of something that is crazed or ugly or vicious or just stupid, no one is going to want to be a part of it.” Those stereotypes of “redneck, tattooed, illiterate, no-teeth” people, Spencer said, are blocking his progress. Organizations that monitor domestic hate groups say it’s just this unthreatening approachability that makes Spencer so insidious.

Spencer says now, more than ever, it falls to people like him to be engaged and savvy if America is going to combat the growing threat of diversity. In particular, he’s irritated by the rise of U.S. minority births, which outnumbered white births for the first time in 2011.

“People have not really grasped that. Even if we shut off all immigration, the country is going to demographically undergo a tremendous transformation,” Spencer said. White people “need to start thinking about a new ethno-state that we would want to be a part of. This is not going to happen in the next election or in the next 10 years probably, but something in the future that would be for our great grandchildren.”

{snip} At present, 96 percent of the population in Whitefish’s Flathead County is white.

Under the auspices of his blandly named  National Policy Institute, Spencer is working to create an intellectual class of white separatists. The organization’s editorial unit publishes “scientifically-based” books like “Race Differences in Intelligence” and “The Perils of Diversity.” The group rejects the calls for violence, which appear in Internet chat rooms and public campaigns of hate. Spencer prefers a more professorial approach of publishing books and organizing conferences. “Our goal is to form an intellectual community around European nationalism,” he wrote in an email.

Spencer and I emailed and spoke on the phone over a period of four months before I’d asked to meet him. I was living in Washington, but was planning a trip back home. Over the phone, he’d seemed radical. In person, he was easier to take, in conversation he meandered from D.C. landmarks and comic books to the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Then we crashed into eugenics.

“We are undergoing a sad process of degeneration,” he said, coming back to minority births in the U.S. “We will need to reverse it using the state and the government. You incentivize people with higher intelligence, you incentivize people who are healthy to have children. And it sounds terrible and nasty, but there would be a great use of contraception.”

He didn’t mean the government should encourage people to use birth control pills and condoms. He was advocating for some type of government-forced sterilization.

“They could still enjoy sex. You are not ruining their life,” Spencer said.

Until this moment, I was alarmed by the number of times I had found myself nodding along with him. Spencer waxed indignant at the conquest of big box stores. And his obsession with clean living sounded like the house rules of a college co-op. Yes, I knew his views, but they were easy to forget until you breached the topic. But the way he called for a white ethno-state and forced sterilization chilled me. I had never heard anyone speak so calmly about something so abhorrent.

{snip}

Spencer has appeared at the National Press Club in Washington and hosted Web seminars with Jared Taylor, a similarly polished promoter of what Taylor calls “race-realism,” and South African Dan Roodt, who has spent his life promoting Afrikaner rights and culture.  {snip}

In October, Spencer is hosting an international conference called “After the Fall: The Future of Identity” at the Reagan Building in Washington.

{snip}

During the American Renaissance conference in April, Spencer said, “The ideal I advocate is the creation of a White Ethno-State on the North American continent,” an idea he called “perfectly feasible.” During this speech he quoted Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, and said, “I have a dream.”

{snip}

For his part, Spencer rejects the notion that he is driven by hatred and considers “racist” a “slur word.” (“I guess ‘academic racist’ means: ‘We don’t like you … but you’re kinda smart.’  So, I guess I should take it as a compliment!” he wrote in an email.)

{snip}

Spencer says he has no desire to advertise his views to his neighbors. “I don’t want to get in big disputes with anyone in Whitefish,” he says. “I would like this to be a place where I have a little bit of an anonymous status.”

“Our job is not to be reactionary in the sense that blacks commit a lot of crime or ‘we don’t like Mexican immigrants.’ All that stuff is real, but we don’t want to be any stupider than that and say, ‘Mussolini is my homeboy,’” Spencer says. “We need to be ahead of the game.”

Packing up, Spencer and I walked slowly out of the coffee shop together, returning to earlier conversations about Washington politics. As we shook hands and parted ways, I turned briefly to get a glimpse of him walking away. I couldn’t help being surprised that that same well-manicured man had just expressed so much hate.

Well, clueless Ms. Fox, I’ll bet I’m even more clean cut than Richard Spencer, and I do hate whatever chose to hate me first. I’m sure Ms. Fox has absolutely nothing bad to say about Al Sharpton because in her microscopic little mind, only white people can be racist.

    • Sick of it

Ms. Fox would never criticize Sharpton, Jackson, the SPLC, the ADL, etc. for obvious reasons. It has nothing to do with being clueless.

  • David Ashton

    “Nodding along with him….” !

    • Spartacus

Their indoctrination is strong, but when they let their guard down logic seems to take it’s place, at least for a while .

  • Nathanwartooth

So is his next article going to be about how “chilling” it is that China restricts births?

I wish liberals would go back to being concerned about over population. Now that third worlders have an insane birthdate they have to keep their mouths shut about it.

  • Kit Ingoldby

”I couldn’t help being surprised that that same well-manicured man had just expressed so much hate.”

Except that nothing he said indicated any hatred.

    • 48224

I guess the writer has never met Mark Lamont Hill, Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

    • Spartacus

Indeed. As someone who is legitimately hateful, I find it odd that people like this guy would be described as such. I would never had talked to this commie piglet, and if I had seen her on the street, I would’ve punched her in her filthy marxism-spewing mouth .

  • HJ11

“Hatred” is now apparently defined as Whites not wanting to go extinct and wanting to live among fellow Whites.

Zionists must be full of hatred. Gypsies, too. Japanese must be real haters.

    • Diversity Fatigue

Lauren is living in a sheltered dream world. Obviously she has no experience with cold reality.

      • Sick of it

She’s a liar. It runs in the family I’m sure.

        • Franklin_Ryckaert

It runs in the tribe, more correctly.

      • 48224

Kissing black arse has become very fashionable to people who have no experience with them. My wife isn’t “white” and was never a “racist” until she had to work with some black foks. Now she gets it.

    • Tim_in_Indiana

The most powerful weapon our enemies ever got was gaining exclusive ownership of the word “hate”™, (trademark, patent applied for).

      • Franklin_Ryckaert

Then let’s use our enemy’s strength to our advantage like in judo : use the word “hate” against them. Accuse them of “hate” against Whites. With the policies they advocate it is not difficult to prove that.

      • Lagerstrom

It’s a powerful weapon and it’s bloody annoying too.

    • Brian

Not to mention every Chinatown in America. The must be dismantled…for freedom!

      • Franklin_Ryckaert

Chinatowns are not “diverse” enough. That is “racism”, that is “hate”.

  • Daniel Schmuhl

I don’t really think negative eugenics should be emphasized unless its a last resort. I think there are plenty of positive eugenic policies we could implement.

    • Andy

I would only support it for criminals and the severely retarded.

      • Daniel Schmuhl

Right, I forgot about those exceptions. But I would only apply it to violent criminals.

        • Andy

          Yes, me too.

      • WASP

I support sterilization for criminals, retarded, psychopaths, and welfare parasites.

        • CoweringCoward

“Cash for Clunkers” should become “Cash for Castrations”

        • HJ11

I support Whites having as many kids as possible with other Whites and then using the welfare system that we Whites mostly pay for to boost our population.

I hear too many Whites saying they’re going to be childless because they can’t afford kids. So, they grow old and die and their DNA code is lost and they are gone forever. It would be better for them to have kids and then take welfare or whatever help they can get.

After all, our taxes support the government and the government wastes our White money on non-Whites and stupid foreign aid. Let’s get some of that money and let it help us build our numbers.

      • CoweringCoward

Well you are fully into it then, because to include criminals and retards you are saying to sterilize the black race.

        • Franklin_Ryckaert

          Another case of “disparate outcome”!

        • Andy

About one sixth of blacks are retarded. Not nearly that many are severely retarded.

I am not certain what proportion of blacks are violent criminals, but it is certainly not all of them either.

    • RisingReich

Any ‘eugenics program’ will be viewed my most Americans (including the White ones) as a ‘Nazi’ program. Because let’s remember, the re-written history is all things evil came from NS Germany.

Truth of the matter is Eugenics started in 1910’s CALIFORNIA…oh – the irony.

      • Sick of it

The California liberals have actually started bringing it back in prisons.

      • Lagerstrom

The History Channel’s been lying again.

    • ViktorNN

I agree. Negative eugenics is a big moral tarpit with lots of questions to answer, while there are so many things that can be done first without going down that road.

Also, from the point of view of presenting a public face to white racial consciousness, advocating negative eugenics is just stupid.

Assuming Spencer does believe in negative eugenics (I’m not sure if I believe Fox when she says he advocates for forced sterilization), publicly advocating for it in his pitch to an audience that hasn’t heard of him and his ideas ain’t too bright. Sadly there seem to be a lot of “white advocates” who, when they get a chance to reach new audiences, say the stupidest stuff. I think it comes from spending too much time in the echo chambers they’ve built for themselves.

      • Brian

My guess is since she was surprised at how reasonable he seemed (which doesn’t fit The Narrative), she trolled him to provoke ‘unreasonable’ statements, and focused on those.

    • Sick of it

I’m not a fan of governments with that level of power, no matter who makes up the government. Why? Because, like the Founders, I’m no fool. I know exactly how human beings behave and I will not blindly trust a stranger.

      • Brian

Maybe if we had a few billionaires who paid people with low IQ not to have children…a ‘fallopian tube buy-back’.

  • Spartacus

“People have not really grasped that. Even if we shut off all
immigration, the country is going to demographically undergo a
    tremendous transformation,”

    ———————————————————————————————————————

    There’s a simple solution to that…

    • RisingReich

“Stop feeding the critters, and there will be less and less of them”.

      Nice sign. 🙂

    • Sick of it

If we shut off immigration and then deport the illegals, including the anchor babies with false citizenship, the problem would become much less of a big deal.

    • If signs like yours are ignored, eventually signs like this one are needed:

      • Spartacus

Ha ! Some people are so stupid, they need a more direct approach…

    • CoweringCoward

      Oh Touché!

  • shawnmer

Not to be unnecessarily contentious, Mr. Spencer, and certainly we welcome your efforts, but what you describe wanting to do here isn’t new. It was begun some years ago by a gentleman named, ahem, Jared Taylor.

  • mgs166

“Until this moment, I was alarmed by the number of times I had found myself nodding along with him.”

Alarmed? Why? The truth need not be feared. Accept it, learn from it and finally “see” for the first time in your life.

    “The Hatemonger Next Door.”
I believe that I may also be one of these.

    • Greg Thomas

Liberals cannot handle the truth, especially when it comes to their beloved diversity.

      • mgs166

They’ll be FORCED to handle it. It’s only a matter of time.

        • Greg Thomas

I like the sound of that!

      • Lagerstrom

They’re scared sh*tless of the truth. That’s why they lose their composure around people that don’t agree with them.

  • Eagle_Eyed

Amazing how an ambiguous platonic concept like “hate” can prevent someone from accepting or sympathizing with a position she finds no rational argument against.

  • ms_anthro

People like this are hard to parody. Imagine bragging in the national press about being so sheltered, so ensconced in your cozy intellectual echo chamber, that you literally can’t understand how someone can be both civilized and capable of holding an opinion that varies from yours. When she isn’t projecting her own hatred onto someone who didn’t say anything hateful, she’s chastising herself (and presumably the reader) for agreeing with his sensible, commonsense statements about White identity and the detrimental effects of uncontrolled immigration from the Third World.

Liberals are the original hicks, true provincials, and yet they hold themselves up as paragons of sophistication and worldliness. “Salon” indeed.

    • robinbishop34

      Checkmate!

    • MarcB1969

I enjoyed reading your excellent post!

Paging Colonel West…Colonel Allen West…we have another one…

  • sbuffalonative

” he wants to shake his movement’s reputation for brutality and backwardness.”

Mr. Fox must have forgotten all the ‘progressive’ liberals ideologies that inspired China’s Cultural Revolution, French Revolution, and the Russian Revolution.

    • bigone4u

Right you are. The young female reporter learned in public school that fascism equals hate equals racism equals Hitler. Her birth control hero, Margaret Sanger, advocated for eugenics, but she would have learned nothing of that in her libtard classrooms. She never learned the truth about the Mao, Lenin, or the French Revolution.

      • Reverend Bacon

Yes. History is always more messy than they would have us believe. Once, it was said that history is written by the winners. But, is has been re-written by the whiners.

        • Franklin_Ryckaert

Very good, that sentence should be used as a slogan!

        • Lagerstrom

Didn’t Kilgore Trout say, ‘I don’t know about the future, but the past scares the bejesus out of me!’

        • Sangraal

‘History is written by the whiners’! Brilliant, I’ll remember that one!
Funnily enough, in our topsy-turvy world, winning and whining are often closer than you think…
Note the (proportionally) most powerful/succesful ethnic group in history practically bragging about ‘3000 years of persecution’…!

    • Sick of it

Her family may have been involved with up to two of those movements.

  • libertarian1234

Does anybody even bother to read that worthless liberal rag any more?

Actually, I’m surprised that some leaderless resistance group hasn’t converted it into a pile of ashes by now, right along with the MSM and their buildings.

But maybe that’s on the agenda in the near future.

  • MekongDelta69

As we shook hands and parted ways, I turned briefly to get a glimpse of him walking away. I couldn’t help being surprised that that same well-manicured man had just expressed so much hate.”

Well then, Mzzzzz. Salon, if you despised him so much, why did you shake hands with him?

Because you’re a hypocrite – as ALL leftists are, and HAVE to be.

    • sshadow

Notice that she never critiqued his reasoning in any way, but merely summed it all up as “hate”. A well thought out criticism would encourage critical thinking in her readers, which might lead them who knows where. No fool, she. Critical thinking is intrinsically Racist, as it may lead to “inappropriate” conclusions. If you have ever drunk an ounce of Kool Aide you know that safely sticking to the approved buzzwords will save you an awful lot of silly critical thought, and you will remain employed. So there.

  • I don’t believe that you can 100% purely love or hate for anything, without whatever extreme destroying you. For instances if you think that you hate group X, do you really want to spend every moment of every day of your precious and finite life thinking and obsessing about group X, submerged in the thing that you hate, of course not (“He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster”).
Personally I think the healthy thing to do is to remove yourself physically from that thing that you hate, find ‘birds of a feather’ and ‘circle the wagon trains’ to watch your back.
An apt example of the opposite extreme is analogy presented in “The Camp of Saints” story where your inability to hate, leads to everything you loved ‘behind you’ being destroyed.
You have to put up walls to protect the things that you love, sure we have to go beyond those walls to grow, but we must always have that base to retreat back to replenish oneself.

  • Reverend Bacon

I posted this on the Salon site. We’ll see if they allow it to stay up:

You first say he mentions incentives for controlling the breeding, and all of a sudden on the next line you claim he’s advocating “FORCED” sterilization? It may be what he said, but it sounds fishy.

Many people claim that offering financial incentives for sterilization is forcing them; of course, if they’d prefer the money over the fertility, then giving them the choice clearly makes them better off, doesn’t it? Or are you- the one who’s not filled with hate, nor presumably its cousin contempt- saying that you presume to know what’s better for these people than they do?

Give me his direct quote about “forced sterilization” and I will apologize and withdraw my criticism. Otherwise, you should apologize to him.

    • The Final Solution

The forced sterilization part is absurd. It’ll never happen. Better chance of blacks self-deporting back to Africa. About a snow ball’s chance in hell.

      • Kathy M

Forced sterilization assumes we plan on continuing to live amongst them. The idea should be to somehow carve out a seperate area of the continent for whites to have their own ethno-state then let all the non-whites do as they wish. Ms. Fox would remain with the non-whites of course so as to be free from hate and be continually enriched with diversity.

        • Sick of it

Ms. Fox would relocate to Europe or Israel.

        • The Final Solution

The non-whites will not have their own ethno state in North America. They will occupy parts of it temporarily while we regroup and build up our forces. We will not concede any part of this country to them. We will take all of it back and more.

          • anew

This kind of thinking is part of the reason we are in this mess in the first place.

          • The Final Solution

Retreat, regroup, and retake. What’s your plan? Do you really think that we can just divide up the country and give the blacks and browns their half and they will just be content to stay there? No, they will continue breeding and spill over into our lands yet again. Only conflict will resolve this.

          • Franklin_Ryckaert

That is what the Mexicans are openly saying already : first we will take the South West back, then the whole continent. As for a Black ethno-state, that will be as successful as Detroit or Haiti, and its inhabitants will try to flee to Whitey’s land for economical reasons.

          • anew

What’s your plan? Do you really think that we can just divide up the country and give the blacks and browns their half and they will just be content to stay there?

Many would be content, yes. Those who aren’t could go live with the liberals.

It’s not that hard to protect against illegal immigration, if you have the will. It’s especially easy for a white country to spot a non-white illegal immigrant; if he’s trying to get a job, he’s not a tourist, so we send him back. Pretty simple.

African-Americans in particular, have a rightful claim to some portion of this land. They are a distinct people, and this is their homeland.

      • CoweringCoward

We need truth in sentencing, 10 years means 365*10 days, then offer convicts repatriation vs THE TIME. Oh and make the time HARD TIME. They should be digging huge holes, then moving them around all day long under heat lamps down in a mine shaft. Maybe do a ring out kinda thing, with a big “back to Africa” bell hung teasingly near.

        • The Final Solution

I like the cut of your jib. 12 years a slave reloaded. I’m thinking of something like the Wheel of Pain in Conan the Barbarian. They will repay the white man for all of our generosity, charity, and technology which we have wasted on them. It will be real interesting to see how they fare back in the homeland among real African rule.

  • bigone4u

Mr. Spencer is a lover, not a hater. Young female reporters like Ms. Fox voted for Obama twice. She would have ignored the real hater, Obama’s “pastor” Jeremiah Wright. Does she think Barry and Michelle could sit there for 20 years and not be haters, too? Is her college-educated mind so dumb that she can’t understand the difference between hate and love? In this case, love of one’s own people and one’s lost country, now forever RUINED by immigration and black pathology.

  • Charles W.

Oh Whiteman, when will you ever cease with your “hate”?

  • ncpride

Some of the comments on the original article are SO tiresome. They mimic the same tired nonsense we hear constantly about race, and have absolutely no logical or rational explanation as to why it’s so ‘horrible’ for Whites to want to live among ourselves, and be left ALONE! For the countless time, blacks/browns, this is NOT about you, inferiority/supremacy has nothing to do with it, so what part don’t you get? We simply want to be left alone to thrive, save our race, and survive as a distinct people…… is it really logical to call that ‘Hate”… seriously?

    • Ella

They will not leave us alone. The Left needs our monies from hard work and ideas to survive. We keep their Utopian society from collapsing.

      • ncpride

I agree. They hide their need for us behind words like hate, bigot and racism. This is not about any of those things in reality, but rather to ‘guilt’ us into keeping the status quo so the parasite can keep feeding from the host. I dare them to prove me wrong.

    • Sick of it

If we were left alone, world domination would be impossible. We would stand in the way.

      • ncpride

        Yes, another very valid explanation.

    • robinbishop34

Repetition. It’s what makes television commercials so effective. If you continuously repeat a meme, most people will just swallow it wholesale without ever really thinking about it. I think I’ve heard of this referred to as a consensus trance.

  • The Final Solution

These hypocritical liberals have no problem with all the hate that’s importing into this country every day. But if a white man ever objects to any of it he’s beyond redemption.

    • Sick of it

They consider us beyond redemption even if we’re liberals. Their POV is absolute hatred of white men.

      • ms_anthro

Not just men. Which is why we must unite and start giving them genuine reasons to hate us. They will anyway, so why not earn it?

  • Diversity Fatigue

Oh yes Lauren, its all part of one big cult we are trying to lure people into. R-i-g-h-t. You have never lived in or near the inner city have you? Didn’t think so. What about Los Angeles to get a glimpse of what much of the country will be like in forty years. Ever shacked up near the Somalis in Minneapolis, Arabs in Dearborn, or the brothers in Detroit? Nah. I doubt you have.

Keep sleep walking Lauren. You are living in a fantasy world.

    • DiversityIsDeath

I love your name. “Diversity fatigue”. It should be recognized as a legitimate mental disorder which many Whites (and possibly others) are suffering from in this unnatural multicultural world we live in. “Diversity fatigue” should be coded into the next edition of the DSM-IV. (But what would the treatment entail? How would a psychiatrist treat a goy suffering from diversity fatigue?)

      • Franklin_Ryckaert

Help, I’m suffering from Holocaust fatigue!

      • Brian

Prescribed trips to NASCAR or the symphony, depending on patient’s tastes. Hiking and camping in national parks could also work.

  • Charles W.

When whites advocate for their own interests, it’s “hate,” but when Mexicans, Arabs, blacks, Muslims, illegals, etc., advocate for their own interests, they’re simply exercising their fundamental human rights.

    • Ella

Whites have to keep calm and attack the laws, rules and/or double-standard policies, but we will lose support if we attack certain ethnic groups. It will be challenging to say the least as we lose more political representation and numbers. We need lawyers working for us.

      • Perhaps. But most of all we need people who aren’t afraid to express their views, no matter how politically incorrect they are or how much they will be ostracized. There is no second place or consolation prize in this sphere.

  • RisingReich

He doesn’t need to ‘create a class’ – we’re already all over the place.
We need organization and leadership. Someone that can get us past ‘petty differences’ and see what we all have in common.

Not easy to be sure, but nothing worth the effort is.

    • WASP

That’s exactly what I was thinking today. Whites needs a strong, capable leader who will not sell us out.

      • MBlanc46

I’m not so sure we need a strong leader. I do think that we need a number of local leaders who can organize demonstrations and vigils at, say, the scenes of black murders of whites, a la Jackson and Sharpton.

        • Brian

          Something like Swiss cantons?

          • MBlanc46

I’m just thinking of activists who would be willing to organize local actions pertaining to white interests, such as black crime, penalizing schools and teachers for failing to raise black test scores, etc. The integrationists have plenty of people like that. We need some too.

  • Lewis33

Wonder what she would say about Israel’s racist policies…they are “her people” after all.

    • Sloppo

She would probably be more wordy, but here is the gist of what she would say:
      White nationalism = pure evil/hatred
Jewish nationalism (zionism) = pure goodness/love

      • Franklin_Ryckaert

But according to her “philosophy” Israel should be called a Hate-State, no? Where is the ADL, where is the SPLC to agree with that?

  • Trevor Pilsbury

I can assure you Miss Fox that for most of us, hate has nothing to do with it. It is about coming to grips with reality. Whites are expected to live with racial blinders on while no other race does. Every other race on this planet sees you, first and foremost, in terms of your race — as a white person. They are acutely aware of race. This is not hate, this is reality.

    • Franklin_Ryckaert

      Liberals hate reality.

  • Derp

Contraception and sterilization are intrinsic evils, regardless of race.

    • Franklin_Ryckaert

On what planet are you living?

      • Derp

My morals are formed by the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

        • Franklin_Ryckaert

Ah the planet “Catholica”! My planet is called “Seculara”.

          • Lagerstrom

Hehheh! I was born on planet “Catholica” but I soon realised that their do-gooder view of planet Earth was from planet ‘LaLa’.

    • CoweringCoward

Depends on just who we are sterilizing doesn’t it? To sterilize the productive would be evil, to sterilize the un-productive, parasitic and or criminal would be a plus all the way around for society.

      • Derp

        No.

        • Lagerstrom

Oh, it would. The Catholic Church needs to realise what sort of world this is we are living in.

          • Derp

The Catholic Church does not conform to the ways of this world, but sets its morality by eternal and absolute standards. Sterilization and contraception are, according to these eternal and absolute standards, intrinsic evils. Intrinsic evil = evil in and of itself, without regard to who is doing it, to whom it is being done, or for what reasons.

          • Lagerstrom

I know that the Catholic Church doesn’t have to conform to the ways of this world. Why should they? But I seriously think that they have to re-assess the matter of birth control. The population of Africa is exploding, this world is heading for cataclysm if this is not checked.
Why is this evil? Why does the Catholic Church say that this is evil?
In this modern world, every single person on the face of the earth thinks they deserve a better deal that anyone else simply because they are born here. Where is this heading? No solutions available from Christianity.

          • Derp

Christianity provides the only real solution: the peace of God. The profound, terrifying peace of God. God beyond God, and greater than His Name.

          • CoweringCoward

“Terrifying peace of God”? That’s kinda conflicted there isn’t it? Terrifying peace does not sound so peaceful.

          • Derp

            You don’t understand it then.

          • CoweringCoward

            Perhaps, just sayin.

          • Lagerstrom

I don’t know what that reply was, but it must have been scary and a tad disturbing. Mmmm.

          • KevinPhillipsBong

That was true until Vatican II.

          • Derp

I concern myself only with DOGMA, not traditions, doctrines, or forms. The dogma of the Catholic Church, expressed in its Catechism, is unchanged.

          • Franklin_Ryckaert

An ordinary mortal man declares himself “infallible” when he speaks from a certain seat (“ex cathedra”), then he makes blunder after blunder and one billion people are supposed to obey him. Do we really need such a situation?

          • Derp

Not merely him but the Magisterium.

          • DiversityIsDeath

Not just “sterilization” but SELECTIVE sterilization.

          • Derp

            Sterilization is intrinsically evil.

          • Brian

Absolute, yes. Eternal, no. Priests didn’t always have to be celibate. The children’s limbo and indulgences were invented and then done away with.

          • Derp

Those weren’t dogma. They were discipline and tradition, respectively. Dogma is unchangeable.

          • Brian

Sterilization and contraception are, according to these eternal and absolute standards, intrinsic evils.

            Eh, what about castrati singers?

          • Derp

            Immoral.

          • Franklin_Ryckaert

The pope and his cardinals live in an ivory tower. All the pope’s encyclicals bear testimony of that.

  • that same well-manicured man had just expressed so much hate

I didn’t notice a single instance of hate in what was quoted. Did I miss something?

    • Franklin_Ryckaert

You missed the anti-White hate in Ms Fox herself.

  • SWPL2

Spencer does a fantastic job. The guy needs his own show. Serious.

  • MBlanc46

One man’s sweet reason is another man’s hate.

    • CoweringCoward

Let me take another swing at that one….
      Logic is some nutcases HATE.

  • Rossbach

What is hateful about wanting to preserve your own people and their culture? When non-Europeans do it, it is considered a mark of ethnic pride, but when we do it, it is considered “racism”.

    • Jeremy laws

Because our race has served its purpose. We established the western world, created wealth, built the infrastructures and allowed ourselves to be overrun. Now it’s time to watch it dissolve into third world degradation, be blamed for it because of our inherent evil and racist policies, and disappear.

  • gemjunior

What an asshole. Well, it’s what’s she’s paid for anyway.

  • WR_the_realist

Being pro black and in favor of discrimination in favor of blacks — civil rights leader.

Being pro Hispanic, in favor of illegal immigration, and discrimination in favor of Hispanics — civil rights leader.

Being pro white and against discrimination against whites — evil hater.

  • Xanthippe2

“Salon is surprised to meet a “well-manicured” white advocate.” I am sure Richard Spencer doesn’t spend half as much on manicures as DD. Not that that is a bad thing.

    • DiversityIsDeath

“Well manicured white advocate”? These self-hating white liberals ought to examine the fingernails of their favorite “black advocates” and report their findings.

  • Jefferson

The left thinks all racially aware Whites look like the skin heads in American History X. I am a racially aware White person and I have never been part of any skinhead movement.

Plus many skinheads are in the drug dealing business (crystal meth) and I am anti-drugs. So the whole skinhead thing is not my cup of tea.

    • Lagerstrom

Yeah. Skinheads are a dream for the leftist media.
I’d say the vast majority of people here would be anti-drugs? Idiots that take drugs prop up organised crime.

    • Spartacus

“Plus many skinheads are in the drug dealing business (crystal meth) and I am anti-drugs.”

      ———————————————————————————————————–

All organizations need an economic basis to exist, so I wouldn’t be so harsh on them. When SHTF, it’s good to be around some skinheads, as they’re used to violence, and much more likely to survive and keep other Whites around them alive.

And besides – they’re on our side. You never say anything wrong about those on our side, just like you never hear mexicans complaining about drug cartels. Comprende ?

      • Jefferson

White skinheads who sell drugs are as morally bankrupt as thug Mexicans and Bantus. All of them would bring down the property value in my middle class neighborhood if they moved next door to me.

        • Spartacus

Probably. But the skin-heads won’t butcher you and your family for no reason .

  • robinbishop34

I’ve watched Richard Spencer on youTube and listened to some of his podcasts. I believe he is a college professor? He was lecturing to college students when I saw him (on video). He does some pretty interesting interviews as well. He’s good looking, smart, and measured.

    • Franklin_Ryckaert

Liberals hate such people because they belie the stereotype they have constructed about us. The image of a reasonable, educated and civilized pro-White advocate is what they fear most. Their last ditch effort is to call such a person a “Nazi in a suit” ( they tried that with Jared Taylor), but that too will fail.

  • robinbishop34

I’ve read this article a few times, and I now believe she actually had an attraction to him.

    • NorthernWind

      I concur.

  • Bill

Africa for Africans; Asia for Asians; Countries formed by White people for everyone. Jeez.

  • Jotun Hunter

typically of a modern female she has a purely emotional response to adroit, unconventional opinion – just a lot of empty, narcissistic blubbering about ‘hate’

  • Garrett Brown

I tip my hat to Spencer, what a boss.

  • DelmarJackson

You can’t call people like Spencer a hate monger, and then ignore Obama spending 20 years attending a church whose pastor and congregation gave the Rev Louis Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award. And yes, this is the person who preaches weekly in his church that blue eyed white people are devils. I won’t even begin to tell you what he preaches about Jews.

You also can’t encourage massive non white 3rd world immigration to dispossess whites from the country they built and not expect , as the population changes, to see the emergence of white Jesse Jacksons and white la raza organizations. If you deliberately import millions of unassimlating immigrants and encourage them to play the victim game and hold grievances against the native born white population, yes, you will see a reaction in white people. the mistake of the open border anti American globalists and cheap labor lobby and hyphenated American ethnic advocates, is they think they can change A and B and C will always stay the same.

    C is waking up.

It is not going to be pretty and it is not going to be nice .for decades the media has had only one immigration narrative, which is all immigration and all immigrants are good, and anyone that wants less immigration is an evil white supremacist. They were wrong. Anyone that is a white supremacist has not met enough white people, anyone that thinks all immigrants are good has not met enough immigrants, and anyone that thinks it is OK to destroy the culture, history, language, ethnicity, morals and values of a nation via massive immigration has not read enough history.

No one asked us if we wanted or needed our culture enriched by diversity and multiculturalism. To assume we did exposes the bigotry and anti white bias of those calling for endless unlimited immigration.

  • Dave4088

This article could keep the same title, but should have cast the ADL, SPLC, and the various and sundry black and brown activists and organizations as the real hatemongers and genocide promoters.

  • NorthernWind

Lauren probably had the hots for him. I’m not even joking.

  • mendells-selection

Sterilization should be a precondition for welfare.

  • ms_anthro

A great point. I enjoy asking anti-Whites and egalitarianists why they believe that natural selection has exerted pressure and created divergences in every facet of life on Earth except for human intelligence, capability, and temperament.

They sputter, cough, protest weakly, and then resort to calling you “racist” because the cognitive dissonance has short-circuited their already feeble brain. There is no reasoning with a zealot.

    • Franklin_Ryckaert

      Nature is fascist, not socialist.

  • ms_anthro

I agree with you, except she is not one of us and never has been and never will be. She is a presstitute, hired to demoralize and brainwash our people.

  • Carney3

    Forced sterilization is a no-hoper.

What we should be advocating is a requirement to accept lasting contraception (Depo-Provera, IUD, Norplant, etc.) in order to receive welfare benefits. It’s perfectly reasonable to say that taxpayers have a right to expect accountability with their tax dollars, and that someone who cannot or will not take care of themselves and their existing dependents has no moral right to create even more dependents to burden their neighbors with.

Sterilization should also be optional but heavily encouraged with big cash handouts for those with low IQs, habitual welfare usage, drug addiction, etc. Criminals should be offered reduced sentences if they agree to sterilization, and especially castration (since that would also eliminate the source of testosterone that drives much of violent behavior and rape).

  • Spartacus

It took less than that to beat the British Empire in 1776. And this time you wouldn’t be fighting the English – you’d be fighting a bunch of dark-skins with the average IQ of a door-knob .

    • Jeff O

I don’t know about that. They won’t all be darkies. Many high IQ deracinated whites and asians will violently oppose secession too. And I really don’t want to condemn our grandchildren and great grandchildren to fight such a hideous war.

Wouldn’t it be easier to field some right wing candidates who will propose legislation to change the immigration laws in favor of whites?

      • Spartacus

“And I really don’t want to condemn our grandchildren and great grandchildren to fight such a hideous war.”

        —————————————————————————————-

All life is a struggle. If your grandchildren are true men, they will relish the fight, and feel honored to live such times .

And no, political office is no longer an alternative for Americans. You lost the right for a peaceful resolution when you stood by while the jew poisoned the hearts and minds of American children, starting in the 60s .

  • Franklin_Ryckaert

There are liberals and there are “liberals”. Liberals deny reality, “liberals” create deliberately a false reality. Liberals are the victims of the “liberals”. Which kind does Ms Fox belong to you think?

  • Franklin_Ryckaert

Yes, I have said the same before. It is deliberate and it is planned.

  • Franklin_Ryckaert

They have been programmed to see the end of Whites as the “end of racism”, which will usher in the racial Utopia.

  • Franklin_Ryckaert

You will have to use the term “soft genocide”. Most people understand genocide in the sense of killing a certain ethnic group. But trying to miscegenate a group out of (distinct) existence is also genocide, but in a “soft” way, hence the term “soft genocide” is appropriate. The end result is of course the same : the ethnic group as such doesn’t exist anymore.

  • Black Panthers, Louis Farrakhan, La Raza (literally “the race”), MEChA, NAACP, Congressional (insert every color but white) Caucus..these are all fine. Soul Train Awards, ALMAs, BET Awards, and so many other “you only get this award if you’re the right color or sexual orientation” award shows…all fine.

But if a white guy says “I want to live around people like me”, he’s a racist hatemonger.

Always nice to see intellectual honesty just zipping right along.

And in case anyone cares…I’m not white.

  • Freedom Hayak

what hate did he express, specifically?

  • Derp

    No.

  • I agree that ‘forced’ and ‘sterilization’ and are two words WN should stay away from politically as it’s an issue that doesn’t exactly help update our image.
Makes us sound dated, draconian, fascist and anti freedom.
I always like to use the freedom argument in regards to us Whites breaking away, the image of Josef Mengele in a lab coat is the last thing we need to be associated with, especially when considering realistically how close to actual power we are now i.e. not very.
Add the eugenics platform and most people would fight to the death to keep us away from power. Look at the press in the last 24 hours and how they’re making relatively moderate Republicans look like evil incarnate, then imagine putting a bloody scalpel in there, geez.

  • Oldcorporal

Note how every statement of fact about racial differences, the need for White survival, etc., by Mr. Spencer, is automatically labeled as “hate” by the writer. Liberals say similar things about Jared Taylor. White realist thinkers who are obviously intelligent and clean-cut scare the bejesus out of the Left. “What if people actually started to believe what they say?” is the thought I imagine runs through the heads of those terrified libs.

  • Oldcorporal

Asians, as a whole, have little use for black Africans. Before the Beijing Olympics, police went around to all taverns which were near the Olympic Village, and told the owners in no uncertain terms: You will NOT serve blacks or Mongolians during the Olympics, on pain of heavy fines. They knew exactly who was most likely to cause trouble.

    • Brian

The 106 Asian IQ shows itself to be useful once again.

  • I have long argued for presenting ourselves in the best fashion we can, and to that end, I have always supported the ‘clean cut’ image as so embodied by Richard Spencer.

Whilst it does not suit everybody or every situation, for the situation Richard is involved in, it is a great improvement to the stereotype “ranters” we can often get (that tend to alienate their prospective listeners) – and thus also an example of busting that stereotype attributed to us by the media.

I have not yet read the full article (linked) but I noticed above that even this interviewer found themselves nodding along with quite a lot of what he had so say! However, by the end, they resort to the same default mould of “ooh, what hate!” – without ever expressing what exactly that “hate” is, because they cannot – as all Richard and many of us “hate” is the situation that is surrounding us.

It is ridiculously easy for me to chime in with criticisms and hindsight (and I know I could not do better than Richard!), but it was possibly a mistake to reach so far into eugenics. If the interviewer was quietly and patiently taking it all in until that point, it seems to have sullied the whole affair by going a little too far or being a little too honest about his opinions on eugenics.

If it comes up again, it may be better to suggest that we would be encouraging a healthy society (and self improvement) within these proposed separated states.

It could be hinted at that over a substantial period of time we would be in a better situation to those outside of these states, in terms of circumstances and health, perhaps using cutting edge science to try and limit the suffering and unnecessary impairments that many poor souls have to endure (and often end up passing on their progeny), and that kind of thing as part of a long term plan of natural selection.

  • ms_anthro

They are weak seeds and will be a self-correcting problem when the time comes. They get no pity or sympathy from me. They are not us.

  • Derp

The present moment is the only moment that connects with eternity, and so they are one. Eternity is without timeline, but every moment we live puts us in Heaven or hell, so that when we wake up in that final, unending moment of eternity, we will know that we’ve always been in Heaven…or we’ve always been in hell. I, for one, am working for the former. Nothing else matters. Nothing.

  • Derp

Not unless you pitch it better.

  • Massinissa

It’s also known as, “going with the odds”, which is a healthy instinct.

  • Massinissa

It’s true for Blacks and Arabs. But obviously not for East-Asians.
