9 Mexicans Win First Step in Asylum Claim

Alicia A. Caldwell, CNS News, August 6, 2013

The Homeland Security Department tentatively approved asylum requests for nine Mexican immigrants, including some who were living in the United States illegally but left and attempted to re-enter as part of a protest against U.S. deportation policies.

Christopher Bentley, a spokesman for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, said DHS ruled that the immigrants have a “credible fear” of being persecuted if they are sent back to Mexico.

“The legal threshold for credible fear is broad and low, in order to ensure that individuals who may face a ‘significant possibility’ of persecution if removed have the opportunity to have their case heard before an immigration judge,” Bentley said.

It is rare for the U.S. government to grant asylum to Mexican citizens.

The immigrants were trying to call attention to hundreds of thousands who have been deported during President Barack Obama’s administration. They had cited a credible fear of persecution should they return to Mexico.

An immigration judge will have the final say whether they can remain permanently in the United States. According to the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Justice Department agency that runs immigration courts, new cases for immigrants not being held in detention are being scheduled in Arizona for 2014.

Meanwhile, the nine immigrants are likely to be released from detention in Arizona and could be eligible for a work permit in the future.

The nine immigrants spent part of their lives in the U.S. Some returned voluntarily to Mexico years ago, while others had been deported. Three of them were raised in the U.S. and left the country for Mexico expressly to participate in the protest when they attempted to cross the border recently in Nogales.

      Only if you’re melatoninally gifted….

So, merely chanting the magical phrase “significant possibility of persecution” grants you a pass to live in the US. I wonder; do they have to click their heels three times too?

Didn’t work for the Romeikes. They face the loss of their children and imprisonment if sent back to Germany.

If you’re of a White race, you’re not allowed into the USA, even legally. If you’re a criminal squat monster that sneaks across the borders like a cockroach from the Third World, the insidious ‘progressives’ roll out the friggin’ red carpet for you.

Two anecdotes to show how insane our asylum policy is:

I know a rather naive attorney who took on an asylum case pro bono for a Somalian illegal. This Somalian had zero documentation to show even what his name was, let alone a birth certificate or criminal record from Somalia. All he had was a verbal claim that he was from some tribe that was ‘persecuted.’ At his asylum hearing, he produced zero documentary evidence. His only ‘evidence’ was the oral testimony of another Somalian that ‘yeah he from dat tribe.’ Asylum was granted.

Second, I met an asylum officer a while back. We chatted casually about his job. He mentioned to me that “Even if the asylum applicants’ stories are a total lie, as long as they stick to the story the whole way through, they’ll get asylum.”

If it hasn’t become clear by this point that the federal government is actively trying to destroy the country, I don’t know what else it will take to make it clear.

    • mobilebay

Charles, I think you’re absolutely correct in saying the government is trying to destroy this country. My question is “why?” The people who get asylum or the many millions who sneak in can never support the government in the style it’s become accustomed to. Money turns the wheels and these people will, at most, never pay taxes with what they earn in low-skilled jobs. What is the big picture? There must be some huge, overridding reason more than having a nation of people who’ll always vote a certain way. I’m sure that the Somalian and others like him will never make the effort to get to the polls. I’d really like someone to explain why we’re being replace with third world grifters.

America is the last holdout against their New World Order. Scoff if you like, call it a conspiracy theory (they and their MSM organs always do) but that’s the simplest explanation. The global elites intend to preside over a deracinated, coffee-colored planet of slaves. They spell it out explicitly in Agenda 21, an official UN document. The Georgia Guidestones, built and maintained by unknown persons, also describe what our self-appointed masters have in store for us if we don’t stop them. The murals at Denver International Airport offer another clue.

“The finest trick of the devil is to persuade you that he does not exist.”
        –Charles Baudelaire

It’s not about voting. Voting is small time, another circus to pacify the masses and make them think they’re something more than cattle, like pro sports and 5000 television channels. It’s about turning us into human chattel, worldwide. As long as we’re armed, they’re at an impasse. Hence the constant chiseling away at our right to self-defense.

That’s really what gun rights are–the right to defend yourself with equal force as your attacker. A well-armed population is a technocrat’s worst nightmare.

Is that what the jews call themselves nowadays ?

          • ms_anthro

Some of them may call themselves Jews, but a more accurate term for them would be Pharisees.

          • Spartacus

I could think of several terms that are even more accurate, but Amren wouldn’t let them go through .

Have you read “This Perfect Day” by Ira Levin? I’m sure you’re familiar with the Bilderburg Group.

Those who control politics, media, finance and academia are herding and training us onto an unnatural suicide course for the sake of collective profit. They do it in the name of progress.

They want us properly anesthetized, and sufficiently fat and happy to keep us unaware, content and unwilling to revolt.

We are becoming cattle, which is how they view us.

          • ms_anthro

            I haven’t but I’ll get a copy. Thanks.

Their hubris is breathtaking. Listening to a true believer multicultist parrot MSM lies and state-generated propaganda never fails to amaze; they are so convinced of their righteousness and yet so insecure about it that they can’t bear even the slightest whiff of disagreement. You aren’t just wrong, you’re evil for disputing modern leftist orthodoxy. Their arrogance is incredible, especially given how unknowledgeable most of them are about even the most basic facts of any hot topic (e.g. Zimmerman).

This arrogance will be their downfall, and I believe we are watching their last frantic efforts now before a desperate push. They’ll overplay their hand and things will get terrifying and ugly before they improve for Whites worldwide.

But in the end, our enemies will kill us all off and the Golden Goose will lay no more eggs, or we will send them to Hell where they belong. Either way, we win. These creatures are parasitic. Without us they are nothing, and they know it.

      • Charles W.

mobilebay, it’s because the foreign power behind the federal government (and behind most, if not all, other governments in the white world) needs to squeeze out any threat to their future one world government. Obviously the white heterosexual Christian male is the only real threat. In the meantime, however, they are using white technology and white military power to establish their foothold in the city where their one world government will be based. Once their power is such that it can no longer be realistically challenged by the remaining mongrelized third world masses, they will throw back the curtain and reveal themselves.

  • borogirl54

From what I understand, they claimed that since they had spent a large portion of their lives in the US, they would subject to persecution by Mexican nationals. The funny thing is that they are eligible to receive work permits since their hearings are not until next year. These illegals actually turned down DACA, where they would have received the same thing.

  • RHG

I thought the DHS was created to fight “terrorism”, when did they get into the “asylum” business? I am guessing that once again these government bureaucrats are taking orders from higher ups in the Obama administration.

    • Sick of it

This is what happens when we only have one branch of government instead of three.

      • me

Exactly! And the Bantu in Chief gets away with his unlawful tyranny because of the fear of being called a ‘racist’ if you oppose his treasonous power grabs.

    • WR_the_realist

The DHS is a monster branch of government that includes ICE and immigration services. So the same organization that puts its hand in your pants gives asylum to any African that can keep a consistent lie.

  • Extropico

I would like to cheekily assert that AMREN’s subtitle for this article [Brazen illegal immigrants defy the United States government.] is insufficiently nuanced. The Amerikan government doesn’t represent the people as required under various laws. The illegals aren’t defying a government that agrees with them. The illegals are defying the nation’s founding stock and the majority of the citizens. Read Article IV, Section iv of the Constitution. No invasion permitted; republican form of government to be guaranteed (consent of the governed).

  • DonReynolds

If there were ANY possibility of persecution in returning to Mexico, why would they have left the USA for Mexico in the first place? And upon LEAVING Mexico, they certainly could have been detained at the border by Mexican authorities, but were not…..so obviously, such a possibility exists only in their feeble little minds.

  • MerlinV

    Better get used to it…

    Gee thanks…

Uh-oh, a made in America “Singh Decision” coming right up. Prepare to go broke for being forced to give immigrants and refugees benefits that Americans don’t qualify for. Like what happened to Greece under the noses of the un-qualified-for-welfare Greeks.

One thing I’ll give Harper and Kenney, they had the balls to take extended benefits away from refugees – if they didn’t have dental care in their camps back home, they won’t miss not having it here – and why should they get free dental care, when my husband and I are saving up for his tooth removal/replacement, and just hoping some dentist accepts us on a payment plan, coz we do not have credit cards? We plan to have a minimum of $1000 cash to shove under a dentist`s nose for removal; but my husband knows a denturist who will be more than happy to take another $1K as a down payment on replacement.

He worked all his life. He worked hard, he doesn’t deserve that crap.

  • Puggg

I can’t take “deportation” seriously either because “deportation” doesn’t much mean actual deportation anymore.
