Romney Won’t Say If He’d Reverse Immigration Order

Kasie Hunt, USA Today, June 18, 2012

Mitt Romney in an interview aired Sunday repeatedly refused to say that he would overturn President Barack Obama’s new policy allowing some young illegal immigrants to stay in the United States. He claimed Obama’s decision was political, while senior White House adviser David Plouffe said the move wasn’t motivated by politics.

The Republican presidential candidate was asked several times in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation” whether he would overturn the executive order issued Friday if he’s elected in the fall. He refused to directly answer.

“It would be overtaken by events,” Romney said when pressed for the second time by moderator Bob Schieffer during the interview taped Saturday while the former Massachusetts governor’s bus tour stopped in Pennsylvania.

He explained the order would become irrelevant “by virtue of my putting in place a long-term solution, with legislation which creates law that relates to these individuals such that they know what their setting is going to be, not just for the term of a president but on a permanent basis.”

Obama’s order has put Romney in a difficult position, forcing him to decide between possibly alienating Hispanic voters with tough talk or stoking anger within a conservative GOP base that was slow to warm to him during the primary process.

Romney’s comments represent a further softening of his rhetoric on immigration since the GOP primary campaign ended.

Mitt Romney wishes it was possible to say one thing to Hispanics and employers, and something else to the majority of American employees who oppose the new policy.

    •  Romney = Obama. faces will change but the puppet masters behind the curtain will remain the same.

Those who control our banking system, media, govt, intelligence agencies know how to manipulate the system.

Most Americans are gullible. They will be victims of more wars, more debt, dollar crisis, mass 3rd world invasion, sex and violence saturated media and collapsing public schools.

A thoughtful, informative, civil and brief suggestion to the Romney campaign might be useful.

    Here’s the campaign’s suggestion form:

  • Celestial_Time

Are there still people trying to pretend that the Left and Right are not two arms of the same beast?

  • anmpr1

All I hear is “anything but Obama.”  Be careful what you ask for.   Now that it’s clear Mitt will be the nominee, the reality of low expectations is starting to sink in.  And what of Romney’s “long term solution?”  Well…it’s hard to say, but I’m guessing that the agri-business interests will be happy.

  • Church_of_Jed

We will regret White Romney more than we do White Bush. He’ll try to fix the economy and put us back to work, but to do that he’d have to roll back amnesty and affirmative action.

If anything improves, it’ll be on our backs.  He’s not pro White, he’s just a businessman who happens to be White, and now he’s a politician, when means he’ll govern  through aggressive anti White privilege policies.

His White family is rich enough to reach escape velocity and avoid the suffering.

  • DelmarJackson

if Romney won’t commit to reducing immigration and continues to be on track to become the next george Bush, then the heck with it, I will vote for Obama.

Sure, Obama hates white people and will make me ride at the back of the bus, but at least there will be a bus.  Romney wants to satisfy his chamber of commerce big business pals. they want to cut taxes for the rich, end entitlements for the poor, and continue to ram another amnesty down our throats.
I can’t take another Bush administration of fighting for Isreal, welcoming millions of immigrants to lower our wages and letting the banksters run our country.

if we are going to go off a cliff,  I am fine with Obama in the drivers seat instead of romney. And if Romney coninues to fill up his positions with ex Bush people and wants us to go to war with iran and wants another amnesty and will not rein in the banksters, then we are going off the cliff my friends.

  • I always find it hilarious that ANYONE ANYWHERE would think that the Hispanics would ever vote Republican in any meaningful numbers.  The Repukes could run the Ghost of Cesar Chavez and the Mexicans would still vote for the Brown Bomber.

Hispanic Voters want 3 things and ONLY 3 things from the process:

1.) Increased Welfare and Spending on Social Services (i.e big government)
    2.)Amnesty/Citizenship for ALL HISPANICS EVERYWHERE
3.)Higher taxes on the rich and no taxes for the poor

  • Eagle_Eyed

I will defend Romney no more.  He is a coward and traitor, and if he gets my vote it will be due to an about-face and even more radicalism from his opponent.

  • razorrare

Fred Karger(Jewish Gay Republican)is still in the race. Does anyone know his stance on obama’s latest treasonous/illegal action?

If you vote maybe you should give your vote to Fred. I dont vote.I decided decades ago i would not vote to lend credibility to a complete corrupt system…

Glad to see Roger Clemons was acquitted for being charged of Lying to Congress…now when is someone gonna put congress on trial for corruption & lying…that includes obama-holder-tom perez-pelosi-and all the rest of the Lying SOB’s…

    • IstvanIN

Jewish Gay Republican?  Sad if that is the most pro-American candidate we can find.

  • Romney needs the Hispanic votes more than Obama does. He is not going to say anything that would anger this population. But I hope he does so.

    • Jerrybear

Obama needs the non-white vote. That is his strategy. His campaign decided to abandon the white working class in favor of minorities awhile ago. Romney will never get the Hispanic vote no matter how much he panders. John McShame was the amnesty poster boy and he failed miserably with the ‘Latino’ vote. It is a myth that you need the Hispanic vote to win the election. They were 7% of the electorate in 2008. Why this small voting group is treated like royalty boggles the mind. Increase the white vote and Romney can win. You do this by appealing to the white working class. A lot of them are Democrat union loyalists but they dislike the invasion of the third world and the institutional bias against white males just as much as we do. Unfortunately, Romney seems to be getting advise from the same people who derailed McCain’s campaign by being tepid globalist cowards. The fix is in.

  • JohnEngelman

The Republican Party is the party for the rich. The Democratic Party is the party for blacks and Hispanics. I wish there was a party for the rest of us.

    • 1gravity

Mittens the Milquetoast disappoints.  Who would have guessed?  We need a new political alignment, certainly.  Time to put our collective shoulders to the wheel.  It ain’t gonna be fun.

  • Stop this panic. It’s time for a more fundamental change than just bickering about a presidential candidate of a political party.

White people need to awake from slumber, or at least enough percentage of Whites should accept race realist world view & start organizing. THIS is essential, not Romney or Obummer.

    • I don’t know about the “organizing” part, that’s not allowed don’t ya know… but we can certainly check out.  We don’t need to be supporting the very people who betray us or the others who’s only wish is to take what is ours.

  • JohnEngelman

The Democratic Party used to be considered to be the white man’s party. The New Deal coalition of Southern segregationists and Northern social democrats was less incongruous than it seems in retrospect. The Southern segregationists were semi feudal, and hence pre capitalist in their thinking. The Northern social democrats were post capitalist. Both disliked commercial values and the corporate elite.
Blacks benefited from the policies of the New Deal, but they benefited as lower income people. They did not benefit from policies – like affirmative action – that benefited them at the expense of white blue collar workers.

  • mikejones91

That’s why the MORE non-whites we let in OUR country, the more voting/politics/best interests of OUR country get biased/put aside. No matter WHAT, non-whites (and whites like us) will ALWAYS utilize group think. Us VS. Them/Us. OR. Them. No matter what! We are screwed. People don’t think about these problems when discussing demographic change. It’s not black and white (no pun intended) like most people perceive it to be. Most people think it will go one of two ways, good, or very bad. There is VAST amounts of grey area. Very complex cause and effect deals.

  • holyflower

The great prize in this presidential election is the Supreme Court — especially with the increasing longevity of judges.

Four justices are over seventy — two lefties appointed by Democrats (Ginsburg and Breyer) and two conservatives appointed by Republicans (Scalia and Kennedy). The sillies on this board who think it won’t make any difference if Obama appoints their successors (and successors for all the lower level federal judges) or Romney does the appointing are in for the rudest of awakenings.  The federal judiciary controls domestic policy — including immigration policy, affirmative action, busing and other racial/”social justice” policies.

    • Jerrybear

Judicial appointments is the main reason I will still vote for Romney. Roberts and Alito are far better than anyone Obama or Clinton appointed. Even though Bush was a traitor, he put two relatively conservative Justices on the bench rather than the radical Marxists appointed by Democrats.

      • Celestial_Time

What exactly has been the benefit to America(specifically White America) of having “conservative” Justices?

        • IstvanIN

The Supreme Court is, whether it should be or not, is the last word on everything in modern America.

        • Jerrybear

The biggest one is they’ve defended the individual right to bear arms. We shall see what they rule about the AZ law very soon. From what I’ve heard they will rule against Obama’s lawsuit and that is why Obama has declared unconstitutional amnesty as a pre-emptive political move.

          • Bon, From the Land of Babble

            Holyflower is 100% correct.

SCOTUS also ruled, just barely, in favor of the White firefighters who had their promotional tests thrown out because “not enough people of color passed.”  Those firefighters waited six long years for their day in court with racists and anti-Whites like SodaCracker fighting them all the way.

Ruling was 5-4, with one more 0Bama appointee, rulings like this, upholding and further sanctioning racism against Whites, will be 5-4 in favor of MORE overt discrimination against Whites.

The Tea Party supporters and everybody else need to protest at Mitt Romney’s campaign rallies.

  • tickyul

Love him or hate him, Michael Savage was rippin Romney’s guts out on his show today about this issue.

I feel the same way, IT IS a rigged game, no turning this mess around!

    • Eagle_Eyed

Yeah, I made the wonderful decision to listen to Dr. Savage after a long spell away.  He was tearing Romney apart like only he can.

As Savage says, this issue may be impeachable.  Obama has no authority to ignore parts of the law–and the law states illegals (and other criminals) should be apprehended and prosecuted.  If Romney would have put his foot down on this issue, Obama’s gains in Hispanics would be erased by Romney’s gains in White conservatives.

      • tickyul

Romney is a Phonycon of the same ilk as most Republirats. Quite the milktoast to boot……right wingers will stay home for this one………….Obamaosama gets back in EASILY.

    • Jerrybear

His monologue today was cracking me up.  I love it when he gets mad.  Romney’s cowardice is very disappointing but not surprising.  Establishment Republicans are so predictable.  It’s the same nominee every 4 years.  Milquetoast moderate with zero principles except their loyalty to corporatism and waging pointless wars.

      • tickyul

I see next to no chance that this country can ever turn things around. Both parties are insane and corrupt to the core.

How much did G Dummaya give to Africa. Yes, you are right on, both parties are babysit-the-world globalists.

  • 4teepee

The United States is cursed with a disloyal ruling class. I cannot see the Japanese elite behaving in such a manner. All that matters to the Mitt Romney types is their money. In that sense, the U.S. resembles a third world country, which it increasingly is. There is nothing to hold the country together except, to a degree, war.

    • Xanthippe2

      You are absolutely correct!
The problem is that the ruling class has no loyalty to White Americans —
and hasn’t for a long time.  In my
opinion, it isn’t about money.  A White
America would be more prosperous than a non-White America.
Some of the ruling elite is White, but has no
loyalty to Whites and some of the ruling elite is not really White and truly hates

      • 4teepee

The rich think American workers are overpaid.

  • The problem is, everyone (politics/business) has seen the numbers (demographics) and the sad fact is, they’re all going for the non-whites and they’re doing it because they’ll be damned if they’re gonna be sittin’ here with us.  They plan on keeping their positions and at our total expense.

The Democrats worked hard to get Romney into the nomination because if Romney wins at least  the Democrats will not loose any of the the things they gained.  Romney can say things that are safe like authorized the Keystone pipeline on his first day because he knows Federal Courts will stop it.

  • Kurt Plummer

    Gutless, witless, fool.

The hispanic community ALWAYS votes based on historical precedent.  If they like you in office, they will reelect you as incumbent.  But they -never- lead the pack.  Only swing the vote into line with liberal whites, one cycle out.

Then explain, please, what -does- motivate it?

Fears of being seen as racist?

Israel, a nation which exists based on victim entitlement dementia over Germany demanding an ethnic state for nordics has explicitly stated (via their interior minister IIRR) that their nation is _for whites only_ and ‘These Ethiopians have got to go!’.

If the Jews can summong the testicular fortitude to do it without losing their precious status as the Holocaust beneficiaries then Americans can do it as the saviors of the Jews.

The world _owes us_ for WWII.  And all’s we want from them is to keep their creeping universalist dystopic ideals out of our nation!  Not much to ask given that we are always the ones who are called upon to go save their sorry nations and we cannot do so if we no longer have our own.

“It would be overtaken by events,” Romney said when pressed for the second time by moderator Bob Schieffer during the interview taped Saturday while the former Massachusetts governor’s bus tour stopped in Pennsylvania.

_What events?_  The second coming?  BE SPECIFIC.  Are you trying to induce race war in this nation as a function of destroying every degree of trust between it’s peoples and it’s **public servants** in government?!

This will not stand.  It must not stand.  We must demand and gain our leadership’s accedance to a Constitutional Convention by which to start again.  Because clearly the divisions of power between branches and between states and federal levels no longer suffice to ensure the government functions according to the will of it’s people.

Alternatively, we must leave this Union and continue our white anglo saxon root heritage of being _a breed apart_.  This has historical roots going back to the end of the Roman Empire when the true Spanish learned that the German goths who had conquered the Iberian peninsula did not wish to live among them and came to admire their strict internal discipline as the beginnings of their own caste` system.

There isn’t any alternative anymore.  The right to be who we are as a people who have given much to history and hold much for our future should not be something that is challenged by the also-rans whose envy and fear is matched only by their immorality and corruption.

“Many people who come here illegally are doing exactly what we would do if we lived in a country where we couldn’t feed our families,” Rubio writes in his book, which went on sale Tuesday.  “If my kids went to sleep hungry every night and my country didn’t give me an opportunity to feed them, there isn’t a law, no matter how restrictive, that would prevent me from coming here.”

Notice the kind of rationale that passes for integrity and the new voice of Conservatism never talks about not having kids if you can’t provide for them, or fixing your own damn country instead of breaking the laws of another country, or even breaking the laws in your own country to make it where you don’t have to skip around from country to country.

They really, really do believe that stealing OUR jobs, depleting OUR public and social services, and taking food off the table for OUR kids somehow makes them these “hard working” moral ideologues that we Americans should be emulating and looking up to.

I am very rarely one to use absolutes in such a manner, but I have zero doubt that the only alternatives left are that you brazenly and mercilessly fight against these people and their ideology, or I would have to consider that you are in full support of their treason and treachery. There is no middle ground when they start to use their children and families as justification to destroy mine.

  • 4teepee

Actually, Mitt Romney reminds me of Barack Obama in the sense that neither of them really believe in anything.

  • Another black guy is the solution to a black guy in the White House!? Where do they dig you people up?
