Romney Doing the Job Republican Establishment Just Won’t Do

Ann Coulter, April 25, 2012

The actual Republican Establishment—political consultants, The Wall Street Journal, corporate America, former Bush advisers and television pundits—are exhorting Mitt Romney to flip-flop on his very non-Establishment position on illegal immigration.

Both as governor of Massachusetts and as a presidential candidate, Romney has supported a fence on the border, E-Verify to ensure that employees are legal and allowing state police to arrest illegal aliens. He is the rare Republican who recognizes that in-state tuition, driver’s licenses and amnesty are magnets for more illegal immigration.

These positions are totally at odds with Establishment Republicans who pander to the business lobby by supporting the cheap labor provided by illegal immigration, and then accuse Americans opposed to a slave labor class in America of racism. If this continues, America will become California and no Republican will ever be elected president again. Big business doesn’t care and Establishment Republicans are too stupid to notice.

If you’re not sure how you feel about illegal immigration, ask yourself this: “Do I have a nanny, a maid, a pool boy, a chauffeur, a cook or a business requiring lots of cheap labor that the rest of America will have to subsidize with social services to make up for the wages I’m paying?” Press “1” to answer in English.

If the answer is “no,” illegal immigration is a bad deal for you. Cheap labor is cheap only for the employer.

Today, 70 percent of illegal immigrant households collect government benefits—as do 57 percent of all immigrant households—compared to 39 percent of native households.

{snip}

You can either pay a little more for tomatoes picked by Americans or you can pay a lot more in welfare to the illegal immigrants who will pick them as well as to generations of their descendants.

{snip}

Romney is one of the few Republicans to recognize that there is no need to “round up” illegal aliens (in the lingo of amnesty supporters) to get them to go home. Illegal aliens will leave the same way they arrived. They decided to walk across the border to get jobs—and welfare, apparently—and they’ll walk back across the border as soon as the jobs and welfare dry up.

{snip}

While Romney’s views on immigration are wildly popular with Americans, they are extremely unpopular with the Republican Establishment sucking up to business interests—Bush, Rove, McCain, Huckabee, Perry, Gingrich, Giuliani, Krauthammer, Kristol, Gillespie, etc, etc.

{snip}

So now the elites are demanding that Romney “moderate” his position on immigration. To justify their underpaying the maid, they claim support for illegal immigration is crucial to victory! Obama’s ahead among Hispanics! How are you going to get the Hispanic vote? You’ve got to take Rubio as VP! And could somebody remind Esperanza to pick up little Chauncey from his play-date at 4:00 p.m.?

The truth is, a tough stance on illegal immigration can only help Romney, not only with the vast majority of Americans, but with any Latino voters who would ever possibly consider voting Republican in the first place.

{snip}

Romney crushed pro-amnesty Newt Gingrich in the Florida primary, winning a huge majority of that state’s substantial Hispanic population. And Gingrich promised Hispanics their own moon base!

{snip}

And then Romney won the primary with an even larger percentage of the Hispanic vote than Florida at large. Romney beat Gingrich statewide, 46 percent to 32. But among Latino voters, Romney routed Gingrich, 54 percent to 29 percent.

It’s not just Florida. In 2006, Arizona Hispanics supported four anti-illegal immigration propositions by 40 to 50 percent—which is a lot more than voted for pro-amnesty Republican presidential candidates John McCain or George W. Bush.

{snip}

These are our Latinos—the ones, as Romney said, who came here for opportunity and freedom. Any race-mongering, welfare-collecting, ethnic-identity rabble-rousers are voting for the Democrat.

If Romney were smart he would take a hard line on immigration, legal or illegal.  But I remain unconvinced that he is that smart.

    • Zorro

Why would Romney do that, when he is just as much a Corporate Globalist as all the rest of them, less Ron Paul?

By the way, I read an email from Conservative Acition Alerts which stated that Romney has appointed an openly Homosexual activist who is anti-Military, etc., as his Advisor.

It looks like it is shaping up to be more of the same, no matter who gets Elected in November. But, then again, there is no telling anyone to use common sense and vote for the ONLY non-CFR member in the bunch, Ron Paul, who also believes in National Sovereignty, and the US Constitution, without which, you can forget getting your country, and your lives back.

      • Anon12

omg!  An open homosexual activist and anti-Military? Romney is even stupider than I thought. Right there it proves he is an “all inclusive” candidate. He most certainly will cave on the immigration issue, both legal and illegal.  All we need now is a black VP such as Herman Cain or Allen West to seal the pact.

I am writing in Ron Paul. That is the only choice we have that is closest to many of our issues. The only problem is his adoration of MLK and the like. He doesn’t seem concerned at all about the nonwhite population taking over the White population.

          Jack Ryan responds.

That “only problem” you mentioned – Ron Paul’s ambivalence about the race replacement, genocide of Whites in North America is a rather big problem from a WN – American Renaissance perspective.

Can the moderators do something about this race denying Libertarian Ron Paul cult that seems to camp out here? American Renaissance is a White Nationalist, racial realists web site-we do care about the big push for race replacement and genocide of Whites in North America. Can’t we get these Libertarians to go play somewhere else – preferably in heavy automobile traffic?

      • Ha.  “Conservative Action Alerts”.  Yeah, that’s a trustworthy source.  (Not.)

They probably consider anyone who is out of the closet to be an “activist”.  Give me a break.

  • Ann Coulter drives me nuts.

One week, she’s totally clueless.  The next week, she’s pretty good.

The problem here with this fairly good column is that she’s letting her Romney cheerleading get in the way of rationality.  Just because Romney beat Gingrich in a few Hispanic-heavy states’ primaries (even in Florida, only 14% of all Republican Primary voters were Hispanic), doesn’t mean he’ll get anywhere close to winning the Hispanic vote in the fall.  Obama will still carry Hispanics nationally by around a 2-to-1 margin.

    • I think her broader point is that supporting immigration enforcement isn’t the disaster the Republican establishment or the MSM would have us believe, from a voter approval standpoint. First, a large majority of Americans reject amnesty. Moreover, many Hispanics aren’t as fanatical about this issue as the media thinks, and the Republicans will NEVER get a large share of the Hispanic vote regardless how much they pander.

    • Luke

Question Diversity said:  “Ann Coulter drives me nuts.  One week, she’s totally clueless.  The next week, she’s pretty good.”

There is a very good reason why Coulter drives you and every other traditional conservative, pro-white, white race realist ‘nuts.

Here is the answer:  She is working for, and getting paid handsomely by, the very same enemy who is virulently anti-white and who the list of anti-white, race traitorous, White genocide supporting  Judas Goats she cited (Bush, Rove, McCain, Huckabee, Perry, Gingrich, Giuliani, Krauthammer, Kristol, Gillespie, etc, etc.) are firmly in bed with.

However, these behind-the-scenes white genocide criminals – who own the above mentioned list of race treasonous rats – are watching the rise of White Nationalism and the  rising anger of the White American public over the issue of mass immigration – and, as we all know, no GOP candidate can hope to win the White House if they do not get huge support from their traditional  base, which are racially healthy White conservatives.    Also, I suspect that our enemy is noticing the rise of White Nationalism over in the European nations – and are sensing that this sentiment is spreading like wildfire all over the White, Western world.

So, here is the deal with Ann Coulter – and Mitt Romney.    The enemy owns both of these people, lock, stock and barrel.   That needs to be understood.    This enemy desperately wants a war with Iran, and they want our US military to fight it and they want the American taxpayers to suffer the financial burden of financing it.    And, Mitt Romney has repeatedly promised his string pullers that, if he gets into the White House – he will give them their WW3 and attack Iran.  Marc Rubio, a certified RINO in his own right, has just recently said that we might have to attack Iran – and this guy is being considered as a possible VP pick by Romney.   So,  Ann Coulter – true to her always selfish and materialistic agenda to enrich herself by peddling whatever her owners demand that she peddle in exchange for her lucrative book deals and various other financial rewards – comes out with an article like this – which is specifically and cleverly designed to appeal to that White conservative, racially healthy segment of the White population that Romney cannot hope to win without.

American politics is nothing more than gigantic chess game, folks.    Those who stand behind the curtain and pull the strings – are experts at knowing how to manipulate the voters and they excel at knowing which hot buttons to push, to shift opinion and voting patterns in the desired directions.

This is why Ann Coulter behaves like a yo-yo and is all over the map.  This is why Ann Coulter drives White race realists crazy.    She has no real set of principles inside her soul.   She has guided every move she’s made in her career and life by one and only one principle.  Which can be summarized as:  “What is best for Ann?   Will this help Ann’s personal bank account and will it help Ann maintain her celebrity status?”

Ann Coulter pushes Mitt Romney, not because Romney is a closet White race realist and understands that a non-White majority America will spell the death of White Western Civilization, but because Ann’s owners want Romney and the war that Romney promises to give them.

      •  Be of good cheer:  There are exceedingly few news sources and columnists I trust completely.  It’s caveat emptor with the rest of them.

When I said Ann Coulter drives me nuts, I meant it only figuratively.  You’re right:  Her act (or reality) of being Sam Francis one week then Jack Kemp the next week can only please the self same “Republican establishment” (and larger establishment) she bashes here.

  • anmpr1

Ann “once you go black” Coulter has been in Mitts camp a while.  So her cheer-leading is nothing to surprise anyone.  One must be skeptical of any mainstream Republican.  Romney was recently seen hanging with Miami wunderkind and Florida Senator Marco “open borders” Rubio, chumming it up like they were old pals.

    • Jerrybear

She has spoken more honestly about immigration than most MSM conservatives recently. So I hope her faith in Romney is justified but I won’t hold my breath.

  • Woody Woodpecker

Blacks and hispanics will vote for Hussien.
    That is a given.
Romney needs to take a hard line position on the illegals to energize the White base.
Staying away from Rubio (and especially Allen West) will help in this regard.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but Ron Paul is awful on the illegal alien issue. Most Libertarians are open border fanatics, and Ron Paul is no exception.  The only thing that makes Ron Paul interesting is that he seems to be principled and has positions different than the mainstream. Nevertheless he is not the answer, since as I said Libertarians love open borders and free trade, and both of these policies destroy the quality of life for “ordinary” Americans.

    • DiabolusCaeruleiOculi

Not all Libertarians are strict purists in the international sense.

      • JohnEngelman

Libertarians can be seen as Republicans who like illegal drugs and pornography, and who dislike going to church. Nevertheless, when they want something from the government they expect to get it.

  • JohnEngelman

So, the Republican Party protects the interests of the plutocracy. Who’d a thunk it?

  • Hirschibold

Ron Paul’s only effect on this election, like it or not, will be much like Ralph Nader’s effect a few years back. All Paul can do is siphon protest votes away from Romney, and make Obama win by a landslide.

    •  Ron Paul won’t even be on the ballot in November, much less announce himself as an independent write-in candidate.  Two main reasons:  1.  Ron Paul and Romney are friendly on a personal level, and 2. Ron is thinking of Rand’s national future.

      • DiabolusCaeruleiOculi

      • Jerrybear

YT is ‘you too’ I’m assuming. I have never taken offense to the jokes they make about whites. A lot of the time it is at the expense of stupid white liberals.

Yea…like voting for Perot back then got us what…CLINTON!

For gods sake….if you really want this interloper, fraud, socialist, commie out of our WH….even if you think you have to hold your nose….you have to vote for the most viable candidate that will do that….and it sure as hell ain’t Paul. I’d hate to hear your whiny crying that gives us another 4 years of this POS…

You think the parasites give a damn about your “integrity”. They’re voting for the one who’s going to rob your hard earned money to feed their illegitimate, sucking offspring. Wise up. Wise up…..give the White guy a chance….that’s what it’s all about. The slugs aren’t shy about…”African Americans for Obama” are they?

It’s race…pure and simple. Face it. 50 years and trillions of dollars later of squandered wealth from “do gooders” hasn’t changed one damn thing. They’re still parasites…still dependent and still…hate you.

    •  I picked apart the conventional wisdom that Perot got us Clinton:

      • Major

Look…you don’t have to fight with me. I’m on our / your side no matter who they run to chase that zero our of office. Back to Kenya with a nice pension would be best for all around. Or maybe he can be adopted by Bill Ayers or Wright?

        •  No fight, because it wasn’t personal.  I’m just tired of hearing that conventional wisdom.

    • IanJMacDonald

For the last year we’ve been told that “the most viable candidate” is the guy who lost to the guy who lost to Obama.

We are doomed.  (Tip of the hat to Derb.)

  • Kit Brewer

It was a courageous of Coulter to write this.  I saw her make an anti-immigration statement on the Kudlow (the ultimate whore for big business) show months ago.  Have seen her on tv very little since.  I think she has decided this issue is more important than the money she can make as a talking head on tv.  I hope so.

As for Romney, I voted for him in Tn. Primary.  However, if he comes out in favor of the dream act or if he chooses marco Rubio as a running mate, I swear I will vote for Obama.  Better an enemy than a traitor.  The Obama re-election might bring onthe race war whileI’m still almost young enough to fight.

    • Luke

I want to commend Kit Brewer for having the clarity of thought and mind to promise to be angry if Romney stabs us in the back.    That’s the one thing that I cannot fathom about White ‘conservatives’ – how few of them are able to get angry when they are repeatedly betrayed by the politicians they vote for.

This behavior reminds me of an analogy:  ‘Like a fawning dog, who, the harder it gets kicked by its owner, the faster it wags its tail.’

White race realists need to learn how to hold a grudge, and that is the only way we will ever stop getting kicked and knifed in the back.

  • mobilebay

I wonder what Ms. Coulter thinks of Romney’s remark that was an echo of my Senator, John Cornyn? The foolish phrase: “Let’s staple green cards to their diplomas,” sends me to the wall to bang my head. He might as well have said, “Let’s give unemployed Americans more foreigners to compete with.” If she’s looking for hardliners, hope she gives me a call. I vote for no green cards, no legalization, no amnesty, no citizenship, no nothing for anyone who broke into country and that includes their kids. In fact, I’d like to see all immigration stopped until we have this broken country back on track financially. After that, let’s quit trying to finance the world and strictly limit who comes in. We’ve been importing poverty for decades to the tune of one hundred and thirteen billion dollars. Instead of cutting out benefits to those who broke in, we will see progams for Americans cut. What a world!

    •  “Staple a green card to a diploma” is code for totally purging native born white Americans from CSIT-STEM careers.

  • DiabolusCaeruleiOculi

Ron Paul supporters are why I started not liking Ron Paul a couple months ago.

  • Major

Looking at his wife is enough for me.

Anyone out there who still believes in presstitutes like Ann Coulter??!!!!

  • jackellis

American Renaissance mods and readers should note that we have very, very old John Burch Society members posting here – going on and on and on about “socialism” being the big enemy. Tens of millions of low IQ, hostile non White immigrants and the Black underclass are invading and terrorizing our White communities and these old men don’t seem to notice or care as they are pre-occupied with ending Social Security for poor, old White people. These types are fine throwing away their Presidential vote writing in an Octogenarian because this will somehow RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION.

  • SLCain

The question should not be “will Romney screw us”, but rather “how will he screw us”, given that he already has.  Now that the nomination is locked up, Romney has already indicated that his purported anti-illegal stance was nothing but a campaign ploy:

    http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/national-affairs/mitt-romneys-moonwalk-to-the-center-on-immigration-20120425

Note that this article is in a left-wing outlet, “Rolling Stone” – it is even apparent to them, that Romney was just lying about the issue for political advantage.

My guess is that Romney, if he is elected, will do exactly what McCain would have done – push through “comprehensive immigration reform” – i.e. complete surrender on the issue of national sovereignty.

If you are a conservative GOP voter, you’re no different than Romney’s dog to him: you’ve had your treat – now it’s back to the top of the station-wagon for you  – oh, and don’t forget to vote for me in November.  Sucker.

    • jackellis

SLCain rants : “If you are a conservative GOP voter, you’re no different than Romney’s dog to him.”

Jack Ryan responds: Oh shut up.

Mitt Romney is a perfectly decent White American, did a good job as governor of a Lib/Min state. He’ll do fine for states like Michigan, Tennessee. I bet the Romney family treats their dogs fine, it’s a good quality of good White people that we treat animals, particularly dogs well.

I think the moderators could serve the American Renaissance community better if they didn’t print every comment, as there are too many comments that preach extreme negativity that everything is HOPELESS and there is supposedly no point in even participating in politics as all the White candidates are supposedly just as bad as the worst Black Liberation theology candidates and everything is somehow control, fixed by secret societies etc.

This Presidential campaign is shaping up to be a flat out Anti White, Black candidate (Obama) against a very White candidate Romney. I’m not having any problems deciding on supporting the White candidate – Romney.

      • SLCain

” I bet the Romney family treats their dogs fine, it’s a good quality of
good White people that we treat animals, particularly dogs well.”

In point of fact, in one instance which Romney himself bragged of,
they did not treat thier dog well.  Putting your dog in a crate on the
roof of your car is not something I would do to my dog.

“I think the moderators could serve the American Renaissance community better if they didn’t print every comment, as there are too many comments that preach extreme negativity that everything is HOPELESS.”

Really?  I think the moderators should ban people who are hopelessly
naive about establishment Republican candidates and their intentions.
        How would you like that?

Romney is clearly signalling that he intends to back-peddle on
illegal immigration – now that Republicans have voted him the
nomination, and he needs to start collecting money from all those
wealthy business interests that want illegal immigration.  It is a
shamelessly opportunistic act by a man who has a long history of
        shameless opportunism.

Do you expect Romney to do – or even seriously attempt to do – any of
the following, should he be elected: 1.) police the border and actually
deport large numbers of illegal aliens  2.)  reduce legal immigration,
especially from muslim countries, 3.) work to end so-called “birthright”
citizenship. 4.) eliminate affirmative action in hiring and SBA loans.
5.) repeal federal hate-crimes statutes 6.) keep our nose our ot other
nations affairs, when we have no real national interest there, 7.) not
invite Al Sharpton to the White House, among many others?

If you do, then I would suggest that you are willfully deluding yourself.

Romney may be a white candidate – but he is not a candidate for whites.

What did I predict?  What did I say about Romney’s deceitful and transparently phony ‘tough stance on illegal immigration and border control’?    Take a gander at a quote from this RINO,  flip-flopping, lying, conniving, backstabbing Judas Goat in a speech he gave on April 27th, 2012, in Westerfield, Ohio:

“Romney aides say he’ll shun the “red-meat” conservative issues of abortion and immigration and instead hold more events highlighting his broader appeal.”This slick-talking con-artist hasn’t even got the GOP nomination sewed up yet, and already he is reverting to his default, LIBERAL, Republican-In-Name-Only (RINO), neo-con roots.   This guy apparently thinks that the GOP White conservative base is so stupid and so gullible and so totally brain-dead, that he doesn’t even have to wait for them to cast their votes for him in November’s election – before he pulls out the blade and slides it between the ribs of the very constituency that he cannot win without.   Listen up, fellow White race realists in the AR community.   This is a perfect illustration of how the Cultural Marxist, anti-white, anti-traditional America, borderline Communist, Socialist left has been able to basically seize control of our nation – and control and dictate the direction and policies of our government, even when they are not actually physically in power.   Did I explain that well enough?  Let me try another approach.     The left remains in control even when the voters kick their evil hind parts out of office – and the way they do that, is that they have moles – like Romney, like every member of the Bush family, the McCains, the Gingriches, the Lindsay Grahams, the Rudy Giulianis, the Huckabees, etc. – inserted into this vile and despicably evil ‘neo-conned’ GOP.    Not a single one of these ‘establishment’ Republicans are conservatives.   They are RINOs.     Liberals for the most part, except they are neo-cons – which means they are liberals who’ve overdosed on steroids and who are obsessed with using our military to attack and murder and destroy any nation around the world who refuses to bow down and lick the feet of the USA.    To be truthful, these RINOs exhibit a huge number of personality traits and behavioral characteristics that are listed for the medical definition of psychopathy.    But, don’t take my word for it – use google and the web and study this issue yourself – and you’ll see that I am right on the money with this assertion.     BTW:  Bald face lying and openly engaging in deceit and deception – and doing so with a straight face and zero lack of embarrassment, remorse, guilt or humility – are key characteristics of a psychopath. In conclusion – every time we have a presidential election, the conservative White GOP voters are fed another one of these RINOs – who will campaign, at least initially – and pretend to be a ‘true conservative’, despite the fact that anyone who analyzes their records and past can clearly see that these guys are RINOs and therefore, slick talking con-artists who are lying in order to fool the voters that they must have in order to win.    Once elected, if they are able to snooker a sufficient number of their ‘base’ to vote for them – they will immediately move to the left, which is where they were philosophically from the beginning.     This how the left continues to rule and systematically advance their evil agenda to destroy the last vestiges of the ‘traditional, White America’ that the Cultural Marxists despise with such a maniacal passion.  So, when are these White conservatives going to wake up and realize what kind of game is being played on them – and put a stop to it, by REFUSING to support these race treasonous RINOs?   Or, is RINO Romney right – in his estimation of the stupidity level of his White conservative base?
