The Left Now Hates White Women

Now that Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed, the Left is venting its fury on a surprising group: white women. They are an odd target, since most of the demonstrators against Judge Kavanaugh were white women, and his confirmation was mainly a battle of the sexes rather than a fight over race.

It was Sen. Susan Collins’ (R-ME) deciding vote in favor of Justice Kavanaugh that unleashed the pent-up rage of leftists against white women — in spite of the detailed and genuinely thoughtful explanation for her vote that Sen. Collins read from the Senate floor. Lefties have not forgotten that 53 percent of white women voted for Donald Trump, and they will not forgive this sin.

Leading the lynch mob was the progressive group Women’s March and its leader Linda Sarsour, who tweeted as follows:

That Miss Sarsour should find “white supremacy” in the senator’s careful explanation is proof that the Left can find it anywhere. The very next day, Women’s March tweeted a photo of the crowd it gathered to protest Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation — mostly white women.

Many columns appeared about the awful privileges white women enjoy, the most notorious of which was written by Alexis Grenell for the New York Times. Miss Grenell argues in “White Women, Come Get Your People” that white women are more loyal to their race than to their sex. They are “gender traitors” who do not dare risk losing the incalculable benefits of being white: “[W]hite women benefit from patriarchy by trading on their whiteness to monopolize resources for mutual gain. In return they’re placed on a pedestal to be ‘cherished and revered,’ . . .  but all the while denied basic rights.” Miss Grenell, who is white, writes that white women are at “war with non-white people” and will “defend their privilege to the death.” “[M]y stupid uterus still holds out some insane hope of solidarity,” she wrote, but she finds it only among the enlightened races: “the 94 percent of black women and 86 percent of Latinas who voted for Hillary Clinton.”

Miss Grenell ends with the hope that white women will join their enlightened sisters by voting massively for Democrats in November, but she doesn’t hold out much hope.

Non-white women have little patience even for the “woke” white women protesting Justice Kavanaugh. Black activists were furious that a few anti-Kavanaugh feminists called for kneeling during the National Anthem to protest women’s oppression.

“White women kneeling during the anthem to protest ‘rape culture’ is highjacking [sic] a movement you took no risks for. You didn’t kneel in solidarity to protest the murder of Black people, don’t co opt & make it about your victimization. That’s white supremacy in the name of feminism,” black activist Talbert Swann wrote in a tweet that earned over 42,000 retweets.

White women who thought that the Kavanaugh problem was about sex must be shocked to learn that it was just as much about race, and that they are part of the problem. The message to white women is clear: You’re at the bottom of the protected-class totem pole, and you need to know your place. The mainstream media’s increasing promotion of anti-white venom will only encourage the Left. Even the New York Times now appears to subscribe to the intellectual Left’s contemptuous view of white women: Non-whites always come first.

Sadly, many white women accept this. Racial masochism is common among white liberals, and they’re terrified of racism accusations, no matter how frivolous. Even in the revolutionary terror groups of the 1960s and ’70s, non-white activists used this fear to dominate white “allies.”

Of course, this assault on white women will alienate some of them. They may not like President Trump, they may hold some “progressive” views, and they may even despise Justice Brett Kavanaugh, but they don’t want to prostrate themselves before maniacs demanding they repent for being white.

It is a mistake for the Left to provoke this group right before an election, but leftists can’t help turning every political question into an excuse to attack whites.

Animosity towards white women may not just help Republicans; it could awaken racial consciousness. Anti-white invective forces whites to see themselves as a group. Getting bludgeoned with it by prominent progressive activists and America’s paper of record will surely open eyes.

Race realists and identitarians must ask unenlightened white women: Do you want to subject yourself to self-hatred and give up everything you love, or can you accept who you are? The Left leaves only one option.
