A local musician was attacked in Soulard in what he describes as a ‘knockout game’ style attack.

“I was crusin’ home to watch the hockey game and basically I turned down an alley to make a short cut and before I knew it, there was four to five guys behind me,” says Tom Hall.

Hall says one of the men asked him for a cigarette. He said he didn’t have one. Hall says four of the men then walked in front of him.

“At this point I was getting really nervous. I forgot about the big guy behind me and I never saw it coming. He smacked me right in the eye.  The hardest hit I ever felt in my life and kicked me to the ground,” he says.

“I started to get up and I thought this is it he is going to try to knock me out that is what the whole deal is is to knock out game. Just as he is walking toward me someone walked in the alley. He looked at them, looked at me and just kind of walked away laughing and talking,” says Hall.

“I have 15 stitches, a broken nose around my eye, I have three loose teeth, I can’t see right out of my right eye,” he says.
