TIME ‘Person of the Year’: Barack Obama

TIME has selected President Barack Obama as its Person of the Year for 2012.

Managing editor Richard Stengel said Obama is not only a political figure, but a cultural one who personifies a “new American.”

“There has been much talk of the coalition of the ascendant—young people, minorities, Hispanics, college-educated women—and in winning re-election, Obama showed that these fast-growing groups are not only the future but also the present,” Stengel wrote.

            I love it. They laughed at and parodied George Wallace when he talked about all the “pseudo- intellectuals” that walked around DC with the attaché cases. “They probably got nothin’ in those attaché cases but peanut buttuh and jelleh sandwiches.” I used the quotes although I’m not sure if they were his exact words. But close enough. I sorry that he underwent that Epiphany after he was shot. Because every thing that he said and predicted are what with are living with today. RIP George!           They probably had bin Laden pinned down for months, then waited for the right time to kill him, politically. Just like the Contra-Iran with Carter. Their release was negotiated well before they were released, it’s not even denied anymore.

          But even if this is not the case, he pulled no trigger nor planned any attack. The Joint Chiefs of Staff and commanders did it. Obama just gave the “okay”.

          I don’t say Donald Trump built some building because he signed off on it.

Remember him at the State of the UNion address walking around patting certain people on the back and saying “Good job tonight!” Of course it was the hook that got everyone’s attention. Did anyone think that after that night al Qaeda would just fade away and that from then on, our lives would be an endless Hallmark Christmas movie?

          All he had to do is say “yes.” What kind of person elected President of the United States wouldn’t have in that same situation? I’ll give you a hint: The President who turned down OBL’s scalp multiple times: Rhymes with Cill Blinton.

          But I will give Obama this much, and this is Steve Sailer material: He somehow developed a deep inherent mistrust of Pockeystahn in his early life, such that he probably had an inking as far back as the fall of 2008 (see the Presidential debate with McCain) that the Pakistani Deep State was hiding OBL. He said in that debate that he’d incur into Pockeystahn to get OBL, but we all laughed because we thought he meant 400,000 ground troops, and not the way it actually turned out, a simple special forces smash and grab. That and Obama said yes in spite of Valerie Jarrett three times trying to talk him out of it.

          However, the information which led to OBL’s last living whereabouts being discovered was extracted with enhanced interrogation techniques that Obama slandered as “torture,” mainly from shaking it out of KSM at GTMO, along with a decade of puzzle piece assembly, and some lucky breaks. Another troubling factor is that nabbing OBL didn’t end AQ, because AQ isn’t a top down Weberian corporation with OBL as its CEO, it’s basically a brand, an imagery, and Obama and Co was lulled into thinking that AQ was done when OBL was dumped in the ocean. That’s why when Benghazi happened, they did everything they could to cover up AQ, because telling the truth would have borked Obama’s election season narrative.

      do not ring very true. It appears gratutitious to assume that race, as such, was ever
      of much importance to him in his formative years. His relationship with Frank Davis,
      for example, is “known” to have centered upon the young “Black” Barry needing the
      tutelege that his white grandparents (and mother, as well) could not provide but that
      Frank Davis, a Black communist, could provide. Yet, I’d bet 2;1 that the essence of
      the tutelge involved homosexuality–not race? At any rate, there is a sense not merely

          When I was still a liberal, I spent a good deal of time interacting with the GLBT crowd. At least half of the women who claim to be lesbians are lying and later go on to date men when they get past 25 or so. The lying rate for bisexuals is even higher.

          There are real lesbian and bisexual women, but the rates are greatly inflated by young straight women who are extremely liberal and are super pro-gay convincing themselves that they are lesbians/bisexuals as well.

    For anyone who used to read “Time” back in the dim, dark days when it was a serious news magazine, please try to read a copy at your local library. It’s not the same magazine anymore. The photography is still pretty good, but the serious articles have fallen off in quality and quantity and the “other stuff” is garbage. The rag seems to be aimed at 14 year-olds.

        When we were kids back in (back country) farm days, no electricity or TV and just a battery radio, Time, Saturday Evening Post, Readers Digest were our window to the outside world, eagerly awaited on our twice a week mail delivery. We now live in a totally different world, these publications are almost irrelevant. As for Drs waiting rooms, the kids just play with there i-Phones, no need to read a magazine.

Those would be, being able to review all the information regarding Fast and Furious and the Benghazi Embassy attack and not being able to recommend even one person for discipline. He’s the one guy I can think of who in the last 365 days has actually pulled himself together and stood and delivered, in however trivial an arena. I know Barack never will.

The president has never acted more likely a snobby biracial intellectual from the streets of Hyde Park, with a head full of cloudy, implausible ideas, than he has today. And I do know. My old neighborhood, where I grew up in the 1950s and 60s.

    Obama has only succeeded to be twice-president, Nobel Prize winner, and Time’s Man of the Year, because he is a black man. I can’t see how any white man (or white woman) could succeed like that if they possessed only Obama’s insignificant achievements. Sarah Palin had more going for her, but the media trashed her mercilessly. Although Obama’s white maternal relations were responsible for him actually having a good childhood, his black paternal genes were all that were responsible for him winning the presidency.

    Reading the article in TIME is like dreaming a nightmare you can’t wake up from. The demographic shift, the new electorate, the young, the alien etc. are all merrily toasted to much cork popping and huzzahed to the fanfare of New Year’s Eve horns, gala streamers, and confetti. No sober thinking or reflecting about the morning after hangover when someone has to do the dirty work of cleaning up after the party and then get on with the work of the day.

      Funny you just said that. I’ve got Rush on at work, (really low volume), and he lead with an interview that the editor of Time did with Charlie Rose. He told Rose that Time picked Obama as their person of the year precisely because he won a Presidential election essentially on the backs of lobotomized low information votertards. No more media fawning over their every word, no more UN conferences about the “crisis in the middle east”, no more being at the top of every american president’s agenda….Just the dull and mundane activities of your average politico anywhere else.

This is why arabs come to america and run stores in the worst urban hoods and feel like their life has actually improved significantly….This also leaves behind a core of religious fanatics who will not budge from their sacred rocks and olive groves for all the money in the world and will fight to the death at the drop of a hat over things most westerners would find silly like stupid youtube movies….Both sides have given up on political solutions over the last 3 decades or so and are increasingly looking towards ever more fanatical apocalyptic religion to give them answers politicians cannot. The problems in that part of the world are intractable and unsolvable and have been so since the days of the Roman empire…America needs to bow out and let it be China’s problem this century. A Chinese imperial regime might actually be the one thing that could get the Middle East under control.
