Japan Must Boost Immigration—Ruling Party Panel

Japan should tackle its dearth of young people by boosting the number of immigrants to 10 percent of the population, according to a ruling party panel report set to be presented to Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda next week.

Japan faces a bleak future as its population ages faster than that of any other country, and is set to shrink by a third in 50 years if current trends continue.

Foreigners made up less than 2 percent of the nearly 128 million population in late 2006, government statistics show, but many have expressed concern that crime could rise if more immigration was allowed.

“We think it would be appropriate for Japan to accept immigrants to make up 10 percent of the population over the next 50 years,” the lawmakers said in the report, which was unveiled late on Thursday.

{snip}

The report also called for Japan to accept more refugees. Asylum seekers are currently admitted to Japan only in very rare cases.

Japan, which faces a shortage of people to care for its rapidly ageing population, is already set to bring in hundreds of nurses and elderly care workers from Indonesia starting this year, under an Economic Partnership Agreement sealed with Jakarta.

“Panel wants immigrants to make 10 percent of the population within 50 years.”
—————————————
And in 100 years it will be 50%.
And after that, Japan won’t even be Japanese at all!

That’s the say it goes. Imigration, once it gets a foot in the door, never stops at a certain quota or number or percentage.
The first shipment of immigrants is the beginning of the end.

It will be interesting to see if Japan with its clear racial and ethnic culture will be able to assimilate anyone not Japanese.

Posted by Whiteplight at 5:08 PM on June 13

You can bet those immigrants will be other Orientals and not the totally incompatible Hispanic, Middle-Eastern, East Indian or African dregs of the third-world…

Posted by at 5:54 PM on June 13

That’s a shame. I thought Japan realized why immigration was bad and would be willing to pay whatever price to keep Japan Japanese. I guess no one has a racially conscious view or has any interest in ethnic solidarity though. Last one out turn off the lights.

Posted by at 5:56 PM on June 13

They can have our immigrants and refugees, and we will even pay them to take them.

Who got to the Japanese? Don’t tell me they are going to be as stupid as all the White countries and take in more criminals and cultures that will destroy the Japanese people and their country, like we have done. One thing I get from this is that the NWO is quickly becoming a reality for us all. God help us.

Japan should think about importing a few black people. No one would ever drop an atomic bomb on blacks because that would be a hate crime.

Posted by Daniel at 6:06 PM on June 13

Oh, I hope not!

As someone commented on a previous article, Japan is densely populated so it’s no big deal if the population drops a bit.

The entropy of the universe increases. In 200 years we’ll all be one race again. With an average IQ of 90, with very few geniuses. And the dark ages will begin.

Posted by William Hendershot at 6:40 PM on June 13

This is a poorly thought out policy.
They should learn from the mistakes of Europe and the US.

Getting their immigrants from Indonesia, a muslim country, makes this idea even worse.

They should get them from China or the Philippines if they have to get them at all.

Posted by Amren Reader at 6:50 PM on June 13

Who are on these panels of social engineers? Must be the same ones who convinced Norway to let in asylum seekers, only to now have their women raped and assualted by Somali immigrants who claim the women tempted them with their provocative western dress. The only real danger they face is if they listen to these panelists. Their plan will only result in a supressed economy, and an increase in crime, since a good deal of these asylum seekers will be nothing but welfare seeking thugs.

Posted by at 6:54 PM on June 13

We hope that PM Fukuda will think with his ancestral instincts on this one, and not be swayed by the tea leaf readings of the demographic magicians in his court.
Wise men never use numerical justification for anything other than primary analysis. A strong man would never decide one way or another based upon threat. For the soothsayers to say that, in effect, ‘the numbers say…therefore you MUST…’, constitutes a threat.

Taco carts, dumbed down schools, public urination, machete attacks on ex-girlfriends, drugs galore, cockroach filled houses with four or five families in a homes built for one. All you’ve got to do, Tojo, is ask, and mexicans will be on their way. How do you guys feel about forcing your children to learn mexispanish?

Posted by Deporter at 7:07 PM on June 13

You are murdering your progeny. 10% (make that 20%) in fifty years will be 50% in seventy-five years. Why would a country as crowded as Japan need to maintain its population? Why not let it shrink to eighty million or so?

Posted by Schoolteacher at 7:16 PM on June 13

population decline is usually a result of public policy. but the practice of paying families an outright bonus to have children is a mistake because it only provides incentives to welfare leeches. a better way to deal with population decline is to give families a tax break for each child. that way the families that make the most money have the most incentive to have children.

Replacing Japanese with Indonesians is not “maintaining” population, it is “displacing” population. What’s wrong with people? Did we kill all the Japanese with any guts during WW2?

Posted by Schoolteacher at 7:20 PM on June 13

A classic example of what not to do, what we did
and can never undo. This is the downward path. They have
put all their effort in material prosperity and forgot to
have eneough children. Instead of tightening their belts
and dealing with the consequences of that, they would now
compound their failure by bringing in aliens just so their
retirees can go snap pictures at Disneyland. Don’t do it
Japan. Accept with grace the consequences of your unright-
eousness and stay racially pure. This is the upward path.
Do this and there is no reason you can’t last another five
thousand years. Accept aliens and you wont last another
two hundred.

This has to be a dangerous example of group-think, gone wild. I imagine members of the panel will likely find themselves fired.

In an era of declining resources, a sane government would consider a drop in population to be a good thing.

Don’t fall for the immigration scam Japan!

Take a good look at what it has done to us in the West. No Japanese or White should ever have to endure hearing the dreaded “Allah Akbar!” or “Gimme all yo money!” in their own country.

Posted by DF at 8:24 PM on June 13

Sure. Why not? Go ahead and fill Japan with foreigners. Its worked so well everywhere else in the world. Hasnt it???

Posted by Mike Harrigan at 8:25 PM on June 13

The declining population arguments are a ruse. The fact is that modern economies simply do not need as many workers as earlier industrial ones, much less agrarian ones. We have been told for the past twenty years that automation has made business more efficient; that robotics has replaced many line workers; that it takes less miners to dig for coal, etc. Yet, when it comes to immigration we told are supposd to beleive it’s 1900. No, what bothers people is homogeneity: Japan is too Japanese for the multicult mandarins. They will not rest until the whole world is Brasil.

Posted by An Ally in NYC at 8:39 PM on June 13

Don’t do it Japan. I know Japan has problems, it is a small crowded island and having kids is very expensive. Also, Japan has a very long life expectancy. If Japan must, it needs to take temporary, oriental expat workers who can fill the need through work contracts and then leave.

Posted by at 8:45 PM on June 13

“We think it would be appropriate for Japan to accept immigrants to make up 10 percent of the population over the next 50 years,” the lawmakers said in the report, which was unveiled late on Thursday.

What fools! Hopefully, this “blue ribbon panel” will be run out of the country by more sensible Japanese. This just shows that no matter how many developed countries are destroyed by 3rd World immigration, there were always be people who wish to repeat this process with a fresh victim.

Posted by Economist at 9:05 PM on June 13

Or they could just have more children and not ruin their country and their culture in order to serve the gods of the “global economy!”

Posted by Hank at 9:38 PM on June 13

Unlike many people here, I don’t even agree with bringing in other Northeast Asian people. The genetic makeup of Japan has influenced its culture. The Koreans and Chinese already in Japan have their own ethnic enclaves. I can see no motivation for any of this ‘more immigration’ and ‘guest workers’ vomit spewed from the media other than a malevolent one. And don’t kid yourselves people, stupidity is an evil. This attitude that ‘everything will eventually work itself out’ is why blacks in America are still being pandered to.

Posted by at 10:39 PM on June 13

Oh yes, because these new immigrants will surely work diligently to better the Japanese economy and try their hardest to learn Japanese! Just imagine what it will be like when all these immigrants demand extra rights and privileges, cry out about discrimination, commit a huge percentage of the crimes, and refuse to put in any effort to learn a language other than their own. If English is too hard for these people to learn, imagine trying to get them to speak Japanese! I thought the Japanese were smarter than that; it was something I honored about them. I hope they do not become as ignorant as we Whites have been by letting our lands and cultures be destroyed and not even noticing the root of the problem.

Posted by at 11:01 PM on June 13

Wait my friends, I live in Japan, they might bring in immigrants but they will be selective and the will assimilate or they will be tossed out and rest assured they won’t taking any blacks or muslims.

Posted by Jim at 12:09 AM on June 14

Wow. I thought Japan knew better. Are their Elites catching the same mental disorder that plagues the West?
So what if the population falls? Anyone ever consider that? What happens when it falls enough, people feel less crowded, more opportunity, less stress…they’ll probably start having babies again!
Anyone in Japan think of that? It’s probably a cycle. If you keep the culture intact, in a generation or two having babies might become popular again! Destroy the population with third world immigration and…NO ONE will want to have kids anymore.

masterless samurai. The Ronin would not try to escape but rather
submit to the police. But instead of life in prison, they would
be allowed to commit seppeku. A fantasy? To be sure, but one that
would reguvenate Japan if carried out for real. As Mishima knew,
blood is the life and sacrafice can have a real impact.

I’m having an extremely hard time believing this article. So there’s an actual panel in Japan that is actually pushing for immigration? Haven’t the Japanese learned from the White world that multiRacialism is a disaster? Even if they do bring in some Indonesians like they say, I bet it will be a rather low number (say 10,000 or less) and have them there temporarily. Even if they decided to fully open their borders most likely they will only allow people that are racially similar to them and practice the same religion (like the Chinese and Koreans).

Well, maybe they will be, just at first, until the Japanese have had time to get used to having immigrants in their midst. But then the others will follow. And after that, the whole world.

The strategy is basically a nibbling process. The USA has seen it all before, haven’t we? 40 years ago we were getting Puerto Ricans and Cubans. No one back then ever imagined Hmong, Somalis, and wild African tribesman imported from Uganda and Darfur! Now, we’ve got ‘em all.

I’m told it is considered political suicide for a politician to talk about immigration to the Japanese people. If only that was the case here.

In the 1970’s a lot of time was spent researching how to decrease the fertility rate. One book I would recommend to anyone who is interested in demographic issues would be ‘Population’ by a Dr. John R. Weeks. I’ll quote something from his book here, with the original research in parenthesis:

“Studies have shown that not only rats but also monkeys, hares, shrews, fish, elephants, and house mice tend to respond to higher density by reducing their fertility.” (Galle, Gove, and McPherson 1972)

I think this applies to Japan, Europe and America. As the population expands the people see so many people around them that they don’t even think about children. Another quote I found very interesting was this one:

“The opportunity structure for murder, robbery, and aggravated assault increases at an increasing rate with aggregate size.” (Mayhew and Levinger 1976:98)

I personally do not think it will be a disaster if Japan imports Asian foreigners to take care of its old folks. Let the population decline. Pop decline is actually a good thing. Natural resources are better shared with a smaller population than with a larger one. Importing Koreans, Chinese, Mongolians, and high-quality Filipinos, Vietnamese, Thai, Lao, etc, should not cause a tremendous amount of harm to Japan. They could even import some high quality Whites like Jared Taylor, who lived as an immigrant in Japan for years. Importing hordes of Indians, Africans, Blacks or Mestizos would be a catastrophe. I do not think that Japan would do anything so insane and stupid.

Quality really is key here.

Problem is more Japanese accepting these folks than anything else.

There are already some Blacks in Japan. They let a few US Blacks in, but they choose them very carefully. I know a US Black who lived there with his Japanese wife for a while.

Why are the youth not caring for the elderly? That’s how things used to be. You didn’t need strangers caring for the elderly, you had family to do that. The Japanese spoil their kids and then when they need them they are too busy shopping and chatting with friends. As far as the population shrinking, from what I’ve seen that’s a good thing for now. There are simply too many people in Japan. It’s so overcroweded that you can barely move in Tokyo. Again the government looking out for itself rather than the populace.

Posted by at 9:59 AM on June 14

Who is the group of extremely rich people that have the say in social engineering? I see this as a world conspiracy. Australia wants an Asian Union which will include Japan. Why are these decisions being made, and why are they thought of as being good? Too many hard working, middle class people have sacrificed to make their countries great. So now I see some uber-rich group sitting around a map somewhere pointing their fingers at countries and deciding which country to ruin next.

Posted by at 10:27 AM on June 14

“You can bet those immigrants will be other Orientals and not the totally incompatible Hispanic, Middle-Eastern, East Indian or African dregs of the third-world…”

Why are they taking in nurses from muslim Indonesia and some other country that’s compatible with their culture? There’s more going on here than a concern over a shrinking workforce.

Posted by at 11:17 AM on June 14

Have humans lost the facility to take into account the long term? A wise young person is well advised not to make irreversible mistakes because it matters what your condition will be 30,40,50 years from now. The long time blues is a hard way down. Why shouldn’t that be true of a race as well? What’s comfortable for one generation is just a blip on human history.

A race without a homeland will disappear. That’s obvious to anyone that thinks it through. A people have to look in the mirror and see themselves, not a neurotic reflection of self-image pulled down by imposed guilt by other groups that will always feel cheated. White people (and Japanese people) have to see themselves as such, not as groups that can only think of themselve only in juxtaposition of other racial groups. Without a proud and autonomous identity they’d dissipate their energies into uncertainty, ineffectually, and death. The passion to assert themselves negated by the passion to repress themselves for the good of the ‘other’. Death by entropy. That’s how our world will end, not with a bang, but a whimper.

Posted by Patrick2 at 11:21 AM on June 14

Reading this article gives me pause to think. There are millions of Portuguese in Brazil yet Portugal puts its efforts into attracting Africans from Angola and Guinea Bissau. There are millions of people of British ancestry living throughout the world and yet Britain prefers blacks and Pakistanis. There are also millions of Spanish and Italians living in South America and yet these countries court North Africans and blacks. The Dutch could fill their immigrant quotas from White South Africa instead of Turkey and Morocco. If Japan really wanted to augment its declining workforce it could start with the hundreds of thousands of Japanese living in Brazil and Peru. What is really going on here?

Posted by at 3:22 PM on June 14

The Japanese, with their well known adherence to a ‘no non-japanese” policy, are now going to have immigration quotas?
What more evidence is needed that there is a greater conspiracy than the obvious workings of governments calling the shots?

Posted by non-latrino at 3:27 PM on June 14

Don’t do it! Japan is the only country that is a good example, with respect to homogeneous ethnicies, to the rest of the world. We cannot keep increasing, wanting more, and being more forever. Who cares if the population doesn’t increase? I don’t put much value in stats, reports, and trends anyway. (What do they know? People are too scared to see what might happen naturally.) A way will be found amongst its own for the elderly to be taken care of.

Posted by at 3:55 PM on June 14

Why are all of these great civilizations (Europe is the worst) not encouraging their (white) populations to have more children? That is the obvious solution. Although I’m no fan of big government, if money on social programs is to be spent on anything after military, it should go toward encouraging indigenous Europeans and white Americans to procreate. How about a very significant tax break for the middle class with children (the more children, the greater the credits)??

Posted by Kevin at 4:14 PM on June 14

Immigration into white countries is not raising birth rates in these countries. At least, not the white birth rate. In fact, quite the opposite. The Japanese could be an exception to this fact, we’ll see.

Mr. Lindsay, you contradict yourself repeatedly. You say let the population drop, yet you also say they should import foreigners. I agree with you that “natural resources are better shared with a smaller population.” But then you say that “high-quality” Asians should not cause a “tremendous amount of harm”. Not “tremendous” harm? Well, why allow ANY amount of harm? Is merely a small amount acceptable? Maybe from your armchair view it is, but not to the Japanese.

You are also being very racist (don’t you realize that?) by making distinctions among groups, assuming notions of racial superiority and inferiority, and talking about “high quality” immigrants. Well, we do that here on Amren, yes, but we openly admit we’re racialists. Please understand that I entirely agree with you about “quality”; but I am aware that you consider yourself a Marxist, yet no real Marxist would talk about “quality” populations since all good Marxists know that ALL people and cultures are equal. What you say frequently makes sense, but you are inconsistent. You are full of contradictions!

I think you’re in the process of making a philosophical shift from the Left to the Right, but at present you’re lost somewhere in the middle and haven’t sorted things out yet. Well, that’s all right. Take no offense. Many of us have made that transition too. Good luck go you!

Maybe the ruling party needs to consult with the common people. WHY in hell should a decent, honorable way of life be sacrificed by allowing that many immigrants. Creating in effect a permanent UNDERCLASS of people in Japan. That immigration also brings in its wake an endless amount of crime, social problems and demands for welfare and other government (taxpayer) funded handouts has been proven too many times in too many countries.

If our Japanese friends read this: Speak up! Tell your leaders NO! Not now. Not ever. At least your nation is still a decent place to live compared to the ‘enlightened’ nations in Europe, Australia and North America.

You will suffer the consequences. I respect Japan as a world technological and cultural leader. Have more Japanese babies just as Caucasians need to have more babies. Hire your own and do not permit immigration from foreigners. You are sovereign and be proud of your sovereign tribe - the Japanese are a proud people.

I don’t know a great deal about the Japanese, but what I do know makes it difficult to imagine such a country inundated with such black refuse as comes from the Muslim African countries which is killing the U.S. and England. The Japanese have no great outdoors or suburban areas to move to in an effort to get away from the crime that will certainly follow the waves of immigrants, We here in the U.S. are rapidly running out of room to move away to also, and sooner or later, any cornered animal will turn and fight.

TOKYO: Surrounded by fast-growing Asian economies and their even faster-growing appetites, Japan is facing a potential food crisis that could reduce daily diets to the austere meals of the 1950s, a senior government adviser believes.

But Mr Shibata also points to the sharp, immigration-led population growth in the US of about five million each year. The US, now relied upon by Japan as an exporter of corn, will consume 90 per cent of its own corn output by 2012, creating a price-inflating scramble for exports of what remains.

The Japanese do not need immigrants. Anybody going in to a McDonalds in Tokyo would see that.

You get some of the most polite people serving you and all you order is a burger for a buck. They even bow when you leave.

Japanese culture is a mix of Stalinist communism meets fake Green Party credentials. The populace is so controlled and the conformity so complete that young people do not even bothering thinking the questions to their lives, let along asking.

Sure pollution in the media has some of the kids dressing like dump rap artists but it is a small minority and it is amazing how the Japan even is surviving this.

They will never let immigrants in. NEVER. They do not even have a word for racism in their language…..and believe me they are some of the most racist people on the planet so do not be fooled by the polite bows.

So many parallels with communism that the list is as long as your arm.

Marxism does not believe in the law of (non) contradiction. It holds that, in addition to existing in man’s mind, contradictions exist in reality.

Changing political views? Identical twins studies show the highest correlation is in politics, r=0.62!!!!! (see Blank Slate, must read book) Marxism doesn’t believe in genetics either.

Don’t do it Japan. Just look at us. Look what happens when you let the immigration activists tear down the safeguards and open the floodgates to anyone and their brother. Observe our cities where natives weep for the land, language and traditions of their ancestors. Listen to our young people beg for jobs as cheap immigrant labor replaces them.

If the Japanese don’t learn from our sad example, the Rising Sun may well become the Setting Sun!!!

Posted by Dark-Star at 5:48 PM on June 15

Kennedy’s past comments on immigration:

The 1965 Amnesty:
“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”

The 1986 amnesty:
“This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this.”

The proposed 2007 amnesty:
“Now it is time for action. 2007 is the year we must fix our broken system.”

This PM is worse than Kennedy, or any cheap salesman, just trying to get one foot in the door. I would recommend to the Japanese People that PM Fukuda be removed from politics. Quickly and permanently.

10 percent is all he wants? That is a huge number. A few thousands will become a few millions, will become unspeakable shame and regret. In one generation the ‘immigrants’ will cease making any pretense of assimilation. Manners will fade away, replaced by a sense of entitlement. The demands will begin.

“What is really going on here?”

Well, it can be summed up very simply; White people do not reproduce at positive rates ANYWHERE. Dutch importing South Africans, Brazilians taking Portuguese is simply borrowing Peter to pay Paul. The Japanese answer will eventually be human cloning, and if you think there are racial conflicts, wait until the organic Japanese vs. cloned Japanese conflicts.

If work shortages exist in a country, they don’t have to be filled by permanant immigration. They can be filled by temporary work contracts. Japan or any country can carefully choose and screen temporary workers who can work for a period of, say 5 years, and then return home.

As soon as I began reading this article, I thought of Jared Taylor. It would be very informative to hear from him about this unthinkable idiocy. Hope he writes an article soon.

Frankly, I am stumped. I thought the Japanese always thought of blacks as “animals” and other non-Japanese as tolerable but still far from being on a par with people of their own race. This turnabout is frightening. One of many things I have always admired Japan for was its ability to keep its country pure and thus gives one the concept of Japan itself being “one extended family”.

Also, the Japanese are famous for their well manufactured products ranging from electronic devices to cars. I can only imagine the downward spiral in quality such a move will produce. And what about their educational system? How will it accommodate immigrants?

So many devastating images that will tarnish the “Land of the Rising Sun”! That panel must have been brainwashed and/or paid to even bring up this country destroying proposition. I hoped it is tossed aside for the garbage that it is.

I was surprised to hear this as an ex resident of Japan
and one well acquainted with the ethnocentric traits
of the Japanese
In my many conversations with Japanese I have been struck
by their almost fatalistic acceptance of a rapidly decreasing birthrate which may lead to near extinction in a century or two.

However I firmly believe most Japanese ,except a few of the
younger generation, would firmly oppose this recommendation
I would also most surmise that those who have seen the joys of multiculturalism firsthand overseas in US,Europe etc
would be the most vehemently opposed along with the older
generation.

As a matter of interest ,many immigrants of Japanese descent
mainly from South America, now work and live in Japan .I believe
this is simply a result of the Japanese govt willing to accept those of the same ethnic kin albeit a very different cultural upbringing

But possibly these immigrants of Japanese descent have had their day and now the Japanese govt is contemplating `thinking the unthinkable` if its looking at boosing immigrant numbers
to 10% of the Japanese population .My bet is it will be rejected
but there will be some call to increase immigration
as a so called `compromise` to this controversial measure.

And thats when the same ethnocentric Japanese will realize how
hapless they will be in trying to assimilate these`new japanese`
but by then it will be too late as this time they will
no longer be able to expel all the foreigners as they
did back in the 17th century.

>>>We here in the U.S. are rapidly running out of room to move away to also, and sooner or later, any cornered animal will turn and fight.

And a lot of us Americans, while not exactly ADVOCATING violence, realize it has to come to that… if we want a clean, decent America for our descendants. Look what the flood of illegal Hispanic immigrants are doing to our nation. The crime, the greed for taxpayer-funded handouts. Add to that already ugly enough picture the millions of African and Asians we stupidly accept in our country. Those Pakistani, Korean, Indian job thieves… displacing American workers.

Count me, and a hell of a lot of other Americans “in” when the time comes. No, I won’t be the one to light the fuse. But count on me when it is lit.

“You can bet those immigrants will be other Orientals and not the totally incompatible Hispanic, Middle-Eastern, East Indian or African dregs of the third-world…”

But many Asians hate the Japanese, who were never required to even apologize for the atrocities practiced on their peoples during WW2.

“So many parallels with communism that the list is as long as your arm.”

Posted by cliff at 9:42 AM on June 15

I think you are confusing communism with with totalitarianism. Communism is chiefly an economic system based on collectivism and redistribution according to “need.” Further, communism is supposed to be governed by a committee elected by the people - not that this has ever occurred. Japan’s Government is a parliamentary democracy, with a House of Representatives and a House of Councillors.

Japan is a very capitalist country economically. Yes, they have social medicine, but so do all the first world nations of the world except the U.S., (and we are no model to emulate). NO, it is that they are one people with an agreed upon identity and vision that makes them appear to be “totalitarian.” If Amreners had their wish, all whites of seperatist persuation would move to an empty island and use their superior intelligence and work ethic to make that island a stunning (Christian) success. (Only slightly tongue in cheek, Australia). But the NeuAmerika Island would need a community that cared for one another, not a bunch of petty tyrants out to grow some cotton with imported labor! (Again, tongue only slightly in cheek). This means in fact, national socialism. Japan is what Germany would be if it were an island. Think about it.

“Japan faces a bleak future”? Don’t you wonder if these breathless NWO enthusiasts ever do any reading? Various excellent demographers and economists—Herman Daly, Robert Rowthorn, David Coleman, for example—have argued that advanced societies like the UK and Japan would actually benefit from a gentle decline in population.

“If work shortages exist in a country, they don’t have to be filled by permanant immigration. They can be filled by temporary work contracts. Japan or any country can carefully choose and screen temporary workers who can work for a period of, say 5 years, and then return home.”
Posted by at 1:45 AM
………………………………….
If only that worked!

Unfortunately, that experiment has already been tried; and plenty of experience by now teaches that contract laborers and “guest workers” never go home.

Just look at Germany’s “guest workers” imported from Turkey decades ago. And France’s from Algeria. And England’s from Jamaica. Their grandchildren (and now probably great-grandchildren) are still living in there today, multiplied into the millions …. builiding mosques, requiring special laws and schools, making demands, and insisting on citizenship.

Kennedy’s past comments on immigration:
The 1965 Amnesty:
“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”
……………………………..
That was an excellent post, Edward!
My only criticism is that you were too kind in calling them “comments”. They were brazen-faced LIES.

I think that it will be alright for the Japanese to allow other orientals to emigrate if a population boost is in order.
Japan’s immigration policies are extremely unique in comparison to thos3e of European countries, It is akin to Ireland prohibiting most all immigration of non-Irish people.

Just as white countries should have white-only immigration policies, so oriental countries can safely adopt an oriental-only immigration policy. Except perhaps they should prohibit immigration of the generally un-intelligent such as pacific islanders and far-south orientals.

I say they can allow other east Asians only, if they’re feeling really specific.

Got an idea! How about we send Japan some illegal al…Sorry. How about some undocumented immigrants? Say 25-30 million? That should do it for some time

How about we do like the U.S. did. Let in several LEGAL immigrants and those will leave the door open for millions of ILLEGALS. And a previous comment about the Philippines! when I was in the military (65 to 69) American servicemen of Japanese heritage were NOT allowed to go to the Philippines in any capacity because of the animosity of many Philippinos towards the Japanese. I work with many Philippinos here in Iraq and they still feel the same and these are YOUNG Philippinos who have the feelings of their parents and grandparents.

“I work with many Philippinos here in Iraq and they still feel the same and these are YOUNG Philippinos who have the feelings of their parents and grandparents”

What some Japanese did in the Philippines was an atrocity. It may have been targeted more against white Americans there than against Filipinos however.

I’m not aware of a single legitimate social problem that can be solved by deliberate overpopulation. Ponzi schemes to finance pyramid club style entitlement programs are not legitimate social problems, because they are created by government. Pay as you go social programs make far more sense and they force the necessity of controlling costs and budgeting. Socialism is a failed system kept alive by politicians willing to sacrifice their nations by treating negative social symptoms rather than eliminating their causes…

Thank you, ghw. And ditto, your posts. Spot on. The ‘guests’ never leave and ‘temporary’ never ends. I am waiting to see if Iowa repeats what happened in NO. ‘Temporarily’ bringing in the illegal ‘guests’ to rebuild their flooded homes and towns.

How do you KEEP the figure at 10%? What if the non-Japanese have a much higher birthrate then the native Japanese, which is not hard to imagine since Japanese birthrates are so low now. Does he propose some kind of annual ‘cull’ to keep the figure at 10%? What about the millions of illegals who will now have a ‘screen’ to move around among? This proposal is very naive.

………………………
I called the American Airlines European phone number from Geneva (Switzerland) and found myself talking to their European reservation office in Dublin. Who was at the other end of the line? No Irishman. A West Indian!

(PS: She really messed up my ticket too. They mailed it to me in New York when I made it clear that I was in Geneva, causing me all kinds of trouble, and forcing me to buy a second ticket because they refused to replace the first one unless I physically presented it - a thing which was impossible for me to do! Then they charged me more (much more!) for the second ticket and even a telephone fee for the transaction. I also had a huge bill in phone charges for the enormous time I spent on hold while she fumbled and the numerous calls I had to make thereafter. I’ll never deal with the “Irish” office again.)

“We think it would be appropriate for Japan to accept immigrants to make up 10 percent of the population over the next 50 years,” the lawmakers said in the report…”

Is there some kind of all-powerful mind control cloud, imregnated with multicultural airborne material, floating over the planet that surrounds all the leaders of homogenous countries and causes their brains to accept the most insidious and destructive ideas???? Are the “leaders” of other countries not able to look at Great Britain and the U.S. and see the their own future if they adopt these deadly policies?? If they fear a population decline, then tell your people to get busy “getting busy” and birth some children!!
