The White House released a video from the Oval Office of President Donald Trump addressing the death of a 23-year-old Ukrainian woman who was stabbed to death on a North Carolina train.
The suspect was identified as Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, who had 14 prior arrests.
The victim, Iryna Zarutska, escaped a war-torn Ukraine and relocated to the U.S. only to be brutally attacked and killed.
She was slaughtered by a deranged monster, who was roaming free after 14 prior arrests,” President Donald Trump said in the video, which was posted to the White House’s X account. “We cannot allow a depraved criminal element of violent repeat offenders to continue spreading destruction and death throughout our country. We have to respond with force and strength. We have to be vicious, just like they are. It’s the only thing they understand.”
