Duke: Student Has Admitted to Hanging Noose in Tree

KATC (Durham), April 2, 2015

An undergraduate student at Duke University has admitted to hanging a noose in a tree and is no longer on campus, university officials said Thursday.

At a news conference Thursday afternoon, school spokesman Michael Schoenfeld said the school would not release the name of the student who admitted to hanging the noose, found early Wednesday in a plaza area at the heart of the campus.

The student was identified with information provided by other students and will be subject to Duke’s student conduct process and that an investigation is continuing to find out if others were involved, Schoenfeld said.

Schoenfeld said the school believes federal education laws protecting information about students and their grades prevent the school from describing his or her gender, race or whether the student had been in trouble in the past.

Officials say the noose was found about 2 a.m. Wednesday in the plaza outside the Bryan Center, the student commons building. Black Student Alliance vice president Henry Washington said he and about 14 other students saw the noose hanging overnight after being alerted via Twitter. {snip}

At a gathering Wednesday in front of the university’s Gothic chapel building, Duke President Richard Brodhead told a crowd of several thousand that their presence was a rejection of what the noose symbolizes in a region where lynchings were once used to terrorize black residents. And he said that while administrators and campus police investigate who displayed the noose and why, it is up to each individual to reject racism.

Guaranteed, if the perpetrator was White, they couldn’t wait to announce his/her name to insure maximum protest and violence.

    • JackKrak

And they can’t even release the name of the guilty party because even white liberal types are forced to acknowledge the instant recognizability (I just made that word up) of ridiculous black names.

“The student’s name is Precious L’Africa Shaydondra Jenkins but we are not disclosing her ethnicity at this time”.

      • Jon Doe

        “Precious L’Africa Shaydondra Jenkins” 🙂

    • propagandaoftruth

And if the name were “De’Antonio Goins-Williams” I think we’d have a clue as to the “ethnicity” of the perp.

No race = black. every time.

Hopefully this statement was met with the howls of laughter it deserves.

I detected that same enthusiasm about protecting student privacy during the Duke Lacrosse phony rape scandal…

    • xyz234

That really tells you all you need to know…affirmative action student with a criminal background fakes another “racial hate crime”.

      • NoMosqueHere

The real crime is whiteness. Incurable whiteness.

  • Chip Carver

Relax. The noose was put up only to “raise awareness”, you’ll see.

    • Samuel Hathaway

The only awareness I can see is that the hoaxster isn’t very good about making a really serious-looking noose.

      • dukem1

        it’s more of a lasso….cowboy pride!!!!

        • Samuel Hathaway

Yeah, looks like a prop for one of those old Western movies…. might be good to use to lasso a few border crossers from the Rio Grande. Maybe.

    • Cid Campeador

IF by “awareness” you mean awareness if lynching of Whites by Blacks. Their form of lynching is abduction sexual torture and degradation and murder by beating, stabbing or shooting.

  • This is Duke University, of “Duke Lacrosse Case” fame. And now they are concerned that the privacy of the student be protected? Yeah, must be black, otherwise his face and identity would be all over the news. These are the same people who were quite willing to let their own champion lacrosse players be hung out to dry. No way they would stand up to Eric Holder and Obama on behalf of a White student.

    • listenupbub

Also, the Duke of Bella Knox. And of the Sociology honors thesis on all the hawt lacrosse players a certain student had slept with, rating them by looks, personality, and d- size.

  • D. K.

At that height, the noose could have been used for lynching only a child or a dwarf!

    • Samuel Hathaway

I noticed that, too. The loop in the noose is only about three feet off the ground.

  • Officials say the noose was found about 2 a.m. Wednesday in the plaza outside the Bryan Center, the student commons building. Black Student Alliance vice president Henry Washington said he and about 14 other students saw the noose hanging overnight after being alerted via Twitter.

Yeah, that’s really strange. The first group of people that the first person who saw this “noose” at 2 AM no less notified was the black student alliance.

    • Caucasoid88

      • Even though at 2 AM they’re mostly still awake. They are deep sleepers, when it’s 10 AM.

        • Caucasoid88

They’re not even good at race hoaxes.

          • cherrie greenbaum123

It’d be easier to talk about what they are good at…….okay….why did it get so quiet in here? ……Bueller?….anyone…..?

    • Yeah, that is really a stupid race hoax. I think they need to call up their friend, Al Sharpton, and get advice on how it should really be done.

      • Even his hoaxes eventually get made. It takes a few weeks, which is probably a testament to Sharpton’s better (relatively speaking) organizational skills.

        • InAFreeCountry

He’s had a lot more experience.

  • TruthBeTold

Another ‘teachable moment’ (aka, a hoax).

  • The last two nights I’ve sent Duke’s Dean of Students, white guy Dr. Larry Moneta, firm but polite emails. I have both of them posted on my site. This is the first one:

    “Dear Dr. Moneta,

You know as well as I do that the now famous Duke noose is a hoax perpetrated by your beloved “students of color.” Your response is not to even mention the possibility of a hoax but to gin up fears that a Nazi/KKK takeover of Duke is imminent unless you, a limousine liberal who lives in a mostly white neighborhood, rides to the rescue of your pets. Keeping blacks and browns perpetually butthurt is what you and your ilk are about, isn’t it?

Who is the noose for, my friend? It’s for you. Encouraging all those hurt feelings, all that fake butthurt that you’re spreading across campus is going to cost YOU your job. A white man cannot know “muh feelins’” Only a black woman of color possesses that level of empathy.

Your dishonesty is going to result in you talking yourself into being race replaced by a black woman. LOL. I think you’ll consider it to be “social justice” when you’re fired to make room for that nice black woman. You’ll make some idiotic statement about the wonderful progress Duke is making as that incompetent affirmative action, semi-illiterate black female replaces you.

Nothing personal to you, but is it possible for any university administrator to speak the truth now? You’ve painted all whites as the oppressors, but you seem to have forgotten that you’re white.”

I’m going to keep trolling these bums until they confess the truth. Duke is the most anti-white institution in America. They destroyed the lives of their lacrosse players and if Noose Hanger were white, they’d be out there destroying him. Never donate to a university. Ever!

    • anony

When my alma maters call for donations, I politely ask if the institution supports affirmative action to which they vigorously reply, “of course we do”. I then calmly state that I will never contribute one dime to their efforts to discriminate against Whites!

Their is usually stunned silence at the other end of the conversation which I greatly enjoy.

      • Great tactic for the cause. I love it. We should all do that.

        • anony

Love your email to the White traitor!

      • dukem1

My Alma Mater is currently famouds cuz some coach slapped a babe on her be-hind….Falcon Pride Forever!!!!

      • H. Mueller

I like it, anony. I will use that one next time I get hit up. Although we both know that they will just call us racist and it will once again be all right in their own feeble minds.

      • My own replies to UC Santa Cruz solicitations for money were so completely vile that not only are they unprintable here, but the critters have removed me from their mailing list.

Evidently, they quite dislike that sort of diversity.

        • listenupbub

I would love to read that.

      • Earl P. Holt III

Wish I had thought of that…

    • Samuel Hathaway

The Black Student Alliance, led by Mr. Washington, will certainly come to the fore in the coming days to keep Mr. Moneta busy combating “campus racism.” But that’s what organized black alliances do best — monitor the moves of every white in authority to make sure that they “do right by us.”

    • indoctrination_FAIL

      Bravo, sir.

I like to think there’s an event in his future involving a real noose…

    • Mangosteen, $1000 chair

I saved tens of thousands of dollars by not ever going. Even back in the early 00’s I knew what they were about and I’d rather live in a trailer and work a menial job than give them a penny of my money. You have to starve the beast, and I live a pretty great life. I’m certainly a lot happier than pretty much everyone I knew that went to college!

That’s a fantastic letter. You’d think that those smarty-pants college educated people would know what this means. Not exactly a glowing endorsement of college in general when the graduates are incapable of seeing something so obvious!

      • listenupbub

I’d say a lot of students don’t even pay attention to the news. Many of them do not care.

        • Mangosteen, $1000 chair

You’re probably right. I’ve met many college educate people who could barely spell, had never read a book for pleasure (and were proud of that fact), and had no idea about any current events. It’s a shame.

          • listenupbub

The students at Duke will be able to spell. They will have high IQ’s as well. They, more often than not, will be horribly uninformed, especially as so many of them are Asian. Asians are almost as ignorant as blacks, though much smarter.

They will not give darn about anything other than jumping the hoops they need to jump through to achieve “status,” as determined by their social circles.

I do not condone non-college educated people bashing college educated people, not the reverse. The world needs both. And the world has both.

What the world doesn’t have is people with sense. Neither college nor “menial work” seems to be doing a good job of drive sense into people in year 2015.

  • Ograf

They were talking hate crime before they had a clue who did it. A sorry looking noose in any event. If anyone in the world is frightened of a yellow rope hanging 4 feet off the ground in a tree they are completely insane, or playing it up for the gibbme dat mentality folks.

    • Alden

It looks like the lariat that comes with a 99 cent store cowboy Halloween costume. Maybe it is

  • Simonetta

Pretty wimpy-looking noose there to be getting so upset about. And yellow? Who hangs people with bright yellow plastic cable? Who has ever? Looks like the plastic tie-wrap that is used to hold cases of food items onto shipping pallets. And to just loop it over an eight year old sapling? Trying to hang your average Duke corn-fed porker would split that poor thing in half.

And lynching? How passĂ©. I mean, no one has been lynched for -what- ninety years? Hardly a gesture to inspire eye-widening terror in the hip-hop generation! Now an EBC card rudely bent in half so that it won’t work in a card-reader? That would incite some real heeby-jeebies!

    • Samuel Hathaway

Thank you Simonetta, for showing how foolish the anti-racist hysterics are. Your analysis would be perfect on a comedy show, or a Saturday night live skit. Happy Easter!

    • RedOnTheHead

I just read a story in the last month about a bunch of black kids in their early teens who spotted a bum, said “he’s drunk, let’s get him” and beat the crap out of the guy. The sheriff charged them with lynching.

    • dukem1

    • H. Mueller

What would be even worse, would be to post a petition to support making welfare recipients work to receive our money. It would cause rage, stress, hospital admissions, diarrhea, indigestion, and a through investigation.

    • Alden

How about a blown up display of the SAT scores of members of the black student union
      That would be truly humiliating

      • anony

Now that’s the kind of “monkey-wrenching” I can subscribe to. Do it!!

  • Caucasoid88

Duke administrators are conducting a review on the student. If he were white, it would be an immediate expulsion. That’s common sense. So, odds are they’re trying to figure out a mild punishment for someone who wanted to “bring to light systemic racism” in a sort of performance art piece.

Black person or mentally deranged white liberal, guaranteed.

  • Earl P. Holt III

    $25 says it’s a nigro…

    • Samuel Hathaway

After studying the noose and its flimsy quality, it’s gotta be a hoax. Thin, flimsy, yellow cable, hanging almost down to the height of your waistline. The hoaxsters no doubt are laughing up a storm.

  • Samuel Hathaway

Lack of racial identity of the perpetrator means perhaps, the whole thing was another attention-getting hoax. As for the Black Student Alliance, it wouldn’t surprise me that they are the ones who put the noose up. But, we shall see.

  • Tarczan

Imagine the amount of harm and pain done to those poor darkies who viewed this symbol of our countries racist and bigoted past. The microaggression meter must have been pegged.

  • Earl P. Holt III

We need to return to segregation of the races: The nigros can establish their own “universities,” where they can award degrees for learning to tie their shoes, while Whites and Asians can return to real and serious curricula, no longer dumbed-down to the standards of a Zimbabwean grade school…

    • Awakened Saxon

It is way past time for segregation. Physical separation is the only answer.

      • Earl P. Holt III

Nothing would destroy them like their suddenly having to be responsible for themselves: They’d be stacked along the highways like chord-wood…

        • MBlanc46

If we are fortunate enough to spatially segregate ourselves from them, that doesn’t imply that we’ll be free of considerable financial responsibility for them.

          • Earl P. Holt III

I realize that: What it WILL mean is that our sons and daughters will be safer, the curricula will be more serious, and we will rid ourselves of the fat, lazy, incompetent and functionally-illiterate black teachers who dominate the public schools in large, “urban” areas…

          • MBlanc46

It seems like a good trade-off to me, and if we could ever get ordinary blacks to think about it, I’m pretty sure that a large majority of them would think it’s a good deal too.

          • Earl P. Holt III

The biggest hurdle would be the criminal element controlling the Federal Judiciary…

          • MBlanc46

Alas, things would have to get a lot worse before they have a chance of getting better.

    • bv

Why do we need Asians? Let them go to universities in their homelands, we’ve got enough problems with spies.

Rumor has it that it is Henry Washington himself based ion his Facebook comments over the last few days

Ha! Go figure eh? He was actually my prime suspect while I was reading the article. I came to this “Black Student Alliance vice president Henry Washington” and thought, Bingo, there’s your man. However, I got two quick questions if I may. ( 1st ) Where did you hear that? ( 2nd ) Did you actually see his facebook page or what?

      • Alden

A comment on another site maybe conservative treehouse or occidental dissent Someone looked at his face book account
Also usually the black activists on campus talk to the reporters Here only an administrator talked to the media. It was probably caught on camera

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

The identity of the student is being withheld in compliance with federal student privacy regulations. Officials are continuing their investigation to find out if others were involved.

Yes. Just as officials withheld the names of the Duke boys accused of rape – in compliance with federal student privacy regulations.

It appears this is another “fake but accurate” racist narrative out of Duke:

For dozens of Duke faculty, evidence didn’t matter. Eighty-eight of them signed a statement affirming that something had happened to false accuser Crystal Mangum, thanking the protesters for “not waiting” – protesters who urged the castration of the lacrosse captains and blanketed the campus with wanted posters featuring photos of those falsely accused.

“If our students did what is alleged, it is appalling to the worst degree. If they didn’t do it, whatever they did is bad enough.”

—Richard Broadhead, president of Duke University, April 20, 2006.

    • It appears Richard $#!&head prefers to double-down rather than keep his stupid mouth shut.

A hangman’s knot is one of the easier knots to tie, IMO, and one of the few I can do from memory after Boy Scouts (we learned it for fun from one of the Dads, who might’ve been a White Nationalist). I would hope a white student would have more pride than to tie that pathetic excuse for a noose.

    • InAFreeCountry

      It’s not a noose, it’s a rabbit snare.

      • John Smith

They like rabbits. Once, my uncle owned a Buick Riviera and drove it to work downtown and a negro asked him if he could have the rabbit caught in his grille – apparently he hit a rabbit on the way and it was just hanging there, unconscious or dead. I guess he had a change of menu from fried chicken or chitterlings for a change that night.

        • InAFreeCountry

Hell, I’ll eat rabbit. Not roadkill rabbit, though.

          • John Smith

            It was fresh.

        • anony

Rabbit, like everything else, tastes like chicken.

  • Caucasoid88

I’m willing to wager no white student at Duke is DUMB enough to put a noose on campus. Don’t white kids have to be smart to get into Duke? No white person in their right mind would risk jeopardizing an Ivy League education in such a manner. Period.

Duke should do the right thing and tell the world who the perpetrator was and what his motivations were. This is the least they can do to quell hundreds of thousands of more black and liberal idiots using this story as fodder for their agenda.

    • John Smith

Not the Ivy League, but close enough.

    • Spikeygrrl

Duke is a good school but it is NOT an Ivy.

      • Caucasoid88

Yeah, screwed the pooch on that one. But it’s ranked better than Brown, Cornell, and Dartmouth. You get my point.

        • Spikeygrrl

I said it was a good school, and meant it.

    • I met a bunch of Duke students in Nanjing, China in September 1987. They seemed very bright, and quite refined.

      • Caucasoid88

Not the types who would whimsically hang a noose, huh.

    • bv

      Duke isn’t Ivy League.

      • Susan

No, but Duke is a prestigious university.

  • Duke has an epic-scale credibility problem when it comes to their claims of protecting student privacy. Their obfuscation in this case is a transparent attempt to smear all white people, when doing that to a handful of individuals in the “rape” hoax didn’t work out.

  • DLRisVH

‘Schoenfeld said the student has left campus but is still enrolled. He declined to describe the culprit’s gender, race or whether the student had been in trouble in the past, citing privacy laws. ‘

BREAKING: A noose was reported on the campus of Harvard today. The Black Student Union was the first to the scene. Within 15 minutes, they have requested a 50-foot statue of Rosa Parks to replace John Harvard, founder of Harvard University. They also requested free tuition and reparations, or else they’d blog about Harvard being racist and stuff.

Upon further investigation, they realized the “noose” was a rubber band that was kinda twisted in a way to resemble a noose, sort of. Here is a picture of the noose.

This is reason #67,891,011, along with the Sigma Alpha Epsilon song, the Duke lacrosse players incident, and the story of “Jackie” at the University of Virginia, why, if I had a son approaching college age, I’d encourage him to consider alternatives to the traditional “college experience.”

The chances of having one’s life ruined before it’s really begun are quite risky for white, Christian, straight, able boys at college. If my son had the ability and motivation for college, I’d strongly encourage him to test out of as many courses as possible, meet requirements at community college or online, and attend a school close to home while living at home, at least for the first two years. That’s because we’d both save a lot of money, which would mean a more secure retirement for myself, and little or no non-dischargeable student loan debt. It’s also because many high school graduates aren’t ready for college, not only academically, but also socially (they don’t understand that these sorts of pranks can give them a police record, keep them from getting into grad school, getting jobs, and whatnot).

If my son didn’t have the ability and motivation, I’d encourage him to go to a trade school or associate degree program, or a trade union’s apprenticeship program, or even encourage him to travel or start a business. Sadly, the military is too infested with PC nonsense and our government has a tendency lately to get into wars we can’t win, so I can’t recommend the military in good conscience.

Maybe this is why fewer boys than girls go to college…maybe they know what they’re in for.

On another note, has anyone noticed that you don’t see these sorts of things go on at community colleges, trade schools, and the like?

    • Germanicus

Right on the money. This us why a new mode of male education will arise.

    • Maybe this is why fewer boys than girls go to college…maybe they know what they’re in for.

It’s both the cause and the effect. The more white men skip “traditional” college, the more the college environment becomes hostile to white men, on the race front, the gender front, and the orientation front. And the more hostile it gets, the more it will keep white men away. Where this dynamo stops, nobody knows.

    • carriewhite64

Many trade schools offer fine associate degrees with marketable skills and the chance for the graduate to make more money than most college graduates will ever make.

  • And be expelled in the end anyway.

  • groidle

Meanwhile, blacks commit 400,000+ violent crimes against whites every year.

    Where’s that article?

  • Luis

Yep, it’s safe to make book that the perp who hung the noose was a Bantu. The fact that the university president didn’t mouth the usual blather with words like “racism” “intolerance”, “inclusion” or “diversity” literally cries out that it was a Bantu. Funny how quickly they kicked this guy right out of school, so as to cover their backsides. They also probably made him sign a “hold-harmless” agreement, that would prevent him from suing the school on “racism” charges. I’ll bet that the perp was the one who twittered the 15 others, who came out at 230am, and saw it.

It also makes sense that it was a Bantu; since Duke was stung by the backlash over the Bantu stripper’s allegations against the lacrosse team, the school decided to keep everything hush-hush, this time around. The fact that they refuse even to say whether the guy has a criminal record, also points in the direction of the perp being a Bantu. Had he been a mestizo, Asian or a Muslim from the Middle East, Duke would not have gone to such great pains to “protect” the identity.

    • They appear to have only kicked the perp out of campus housing, rather than actually expelling him or her.

    • brior

The student, an undergraduate whom officials declined to identify because of federal privacy laws, is no longer on campus. Although fed privacy laws would be out the window if the perp were white.

  • Packard27

Please identify the race of this latest faux lynching perp please. Otherwise, we will assume the obvious.

Can anyone else say, Tawana Brawley? How about, Chrystal Mangum (Duke Lacrosse hoax.)? Folks, we have all seen this fraud before.

  • Susan

It was probably a black girl who did it. Any intelligent person knows that that spindly little ‘rope’ isn’t of much use.

  • JR Kipling

“Did anyone see what happened to my yak? I died it up to this tree..and now its gone.”

  • Hammerheart

Student who perpetrated this hoax is of African descent. Gets kicked out of Duke. Backlash ensues. Student’s admittance gets reinstated and is hailed a ‘hero’ for having the courage to bring up that ‘conversation about race’ Eric Holder wants us to have.

  • USN Veteran

    The school won’t announce his/her race. Translation= they’re black

  • LiberalismFailed

No question in anyone’s mind that the student was non-white, probably black, judging how this was quietly and effectively kept quiet.

  • nordicman

Many of these “hate crimes” are hoaxes created by nonwhites and the ‘tribe’ while they cover up real violent crimes committed against whites.

  • slobotnavich

My God, this is the “Crime of the Century!” Only only thing could have made it worse – that would be a certified minority member with his neck in the noose.

  • anony

I like that! I think I’ll add the NRA thing to my response, something like, “since you insist on discriminating against Whites, I will contribute to the NRA instead”.

  • Sloppo

If the “perp” is a white man, he could be looking at a long prison sentence. If it’s a black female, she’ll be a hero for “raising awareness”.

  • indoctrination_FAIL

    Thread winner! LOL

  • Fr. John+

    “school spokesman Michael Schoenfeld said…”

    Darn these racial pot-stirring Serbo-Croatians…..

  • TMavrogeorge

Obviously a white liberal or a minority.
