Girls, Ages 12, 13 and 14, Arrested for Downtown St. Louis Robberies

KMOV (St. Louis), November 6, 2014

Three girls–including a pregnant 13-year-old–are facing charges for two downtown St. Louis robberies.

According to police, a 22-year-old woman was walking near 12th Street and Washington Avenue on October 25 around 7:00 p.m. when she was approached by four girls. One of the suspects punched the woman in the face and the other suspects allegedly took her cell phone and attempted to grab her groceries.

While on the ground, police said the suspects continued to kick the victim until she eventually screamed for help.

About 15 minutes after the Washington Avenue robbery, the same group allegedly robbed a 29-year-old woman near 10th Street and Pine Street. In that case, the victim told police she was punched in the face and kicked while on the ground.

An officer near the scene saw as the girls were fleeing and was able to arrest 3 of the four suspects. {snip}
