CDC Confirms Patient in Dallas Has the Ebola Virus

CBS Dallas, September 30, 2014

Officials with the Centers for Disease Control have confirmed that a person in Dallas definitely has the Ebola virus. Tuesday’s official determination makes the Dallas patient the first diagnosed Ebola case in the United States

Officials with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention held an afternoon press conference. CDC Director Thomas Frieden related the information that the individual who tested positive had traveled to Liberia. The person left Liberia on September 19 and arrived in the United States on September 20 with no virus symptoms. Frieden said it was four or five days later that the patient, who is believed to be male, began developing symptoms and was ultimately admitted to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on Sunday, September 28.

“We received in our laboratory today specimens from the individual, tested them and they tested positive for Ebola. The State of Texas also operates a laboratory that found the same results,” Frieden said. After the confirmation statement Frieden went on to stress that the testing for Ebola is very accurate, saying that it’s a PCR test of blood.

Now that the virus is confirmed Frieden said the next steps are three-fold. “First, to care for the patient . . . to provide the most effective care possible, as safely as possible, to keep to an absolute minimum the likelihood or possibility that anyone would become infected. And second, to maximize the chances that the patient might recover.”

Frieden said another important step would be to identify all of the people who may have had contact with the patient while he could have been infectious. Frieden did state with emphasis that Ebola DOES NOT spread from someone who is not infectious. “It does not spread from someone who doesn’t have fever and other symptoms,” he said. “So, it’s only someone who is sick with Ebola who can spread the disease.”

Officials said once those who had contact with the patient are identified they will be monitored for 21 days after exposure, to see if they develop fever. {snip}

Several minutes into the press conference Dr. Frieden paused and stated clearly, “The bottom line here is that I have no doubt that we will control this importation, of this case of Ebola so that it does not spread widely in this country.”

The Ebola virus has killed more than 3,000 people across West Africa and infected several Americans who have traveled to the region, including Fort Worth doctor Kent Brantly, who contracted the disease while doing missionary work in Liberia. {snip}

Thanks Africa. I guess AIDS wasn’t enough of a contribution to the modern world, you needed to step it up a notch and spread around another fatal horrible virus.

If there’s any consolation to be found I predict this disease has quite a lot more damage to do over in Africa, perhaps enough to seriously depopulate the continent of its’ current inhabitants.

    • 1stworlder

Well if you keep sending food and drugs, Africa will give back more Africans and drugs that white mans medicine cant cure. On the plus side is that even in Africa whites have a 50% chance of surviving, vs 10% for natives.

      • Veni Vidi Vici

Any aid sent to Africa should have the requirement of birth control.

        • sulbernick

Africa should receive no aid. It has a negative effect both on Africans and Europeans.

        • Nancy

Any aid given to Africans here at home should have the same requirement.

          • Veni Vidi Vici

Agreed, I would give “welfare” to anyone with an IQ >90 as an incentive not to breed.

    • FloridaGal2005

Why thank Africa? It was Washington that brought Ebola – or allowed it to arrive – on US soil. You people better wake up and analyze events on your own. Think for yourself! It may mean the difference between life and death.

Dr. Stanley Monteith, who passed away yesterday, was an expert on the origins of the AIDS virus. Read it and weep.

It’s god’s hell on Earth. For some reason we prefer importing it here.

Maybe to genocide the White Race?

I remember in the early 1980’s, when Leftists claimed that, AIDS was invented in a laboratory in order to eradicate both Gays and Blacks…ridiculous, because if it was, no one took into account, the fact that, homosexuals have unprotected sex with heterosexuals, and of course, miscegenation…

          • Never mind that the existance of HIV has been established as early as the 1950s, long before genetic engineering technology was available. In fact, the double helix structure of DNA wasn’t even known until Franklin, Gosling, Watson and Crick’s work in 1952-1953. Claims that HIV was created in a lab thus rest on the presumed existence of secret, ahistorical technology.

This claim also somewhat resembles the widespread belief in medieval Europe that Jews were spreading plague – in spite of the fact that Jews were also dying of it and additionally in spite of the fact that the Plague of Justinian, 800 years earlier was the same disease with the same symptoms.

Africa has the massive population it does because of Whites. Sending food and medicine for years without any demand for self sufficiency was a gigantic mistake.

    • MooTieFighter

nothing good comes out of Africa.

    • Nancy

From your mouth to God’s ears, AC.

  • People traveling to west Africa need to be quarantined if they’re coming back. Same thing goes for “refugees” in Europe.

    • Sick of it

People coming from the third world need to be quarantined PERIOD. But we know that the powers that be won’t allow it.

      • phillyguy

people from the third world should not be allowed in this country.

        • Charlie

          They’ve been here, since 1619…

          • anony

            Unfortunately for us.

    • Petronius

The British banned all travel to and from Ebola countries weeks ago.

Fortunately the US government will never do that, because it would be racist.

      • Tarczan

There will be no protests from either the media or the Republicans.

        • Max

Jerry Doyle ranted about this at length last night with names, dates, and audio clips of our various “experts” who have proven wrong already.

          • JP Rushton

“We’ll stop the Africa outbreak any time now. The previous ones just died out, this is no big deal.”

“There is no way this will ever come to the United States.”

“There is no way that Ebola will spread through the United States.”

“There are only a few dozen people that have come in contact with someone infected with Ebola. No big deal.”

There is such downplaying about Ebola and the “experts” have been wrong at every step. I makes me wonder what is in store for the US.

          • Sick of it

Visit a local graveyard. There’s your answer.

      • Who Me?

So, they will just travel from their infested hellholes to a secondary. supposedly “uninfected” country, and from there into Europe, Australia, Canada, etc. They don’t even have to do that to get into the U.S.

      • Mergatroyd

I would hope so after an Ebola-stricken patient collapsed inside the terminal after arriving at Gatwick airport.

        http //theconservativetreehouse com/2014/08/03/breaking-ebola-outbreak-comes-to-london-england-woman-deboarding-plane-from-sierra-leone-collapses-in-gatwick-airport-and-dies/

In the U.S. they’d make sure the patient was flown into other airports first to infect Americans. The government can’t fly them in fast enough.

  • D.B. Cooper

I will be very happy as soon as I see the headline: “Ebola outbreak at DNC Headquarters”. That would make me happy, although they will find some reason to blame right wingers for it.

    • Veni Vidi Vici

Not just the Right Wingers but whites in general, I sure people are already going around saying the US government created Ebola….

      • Stan D Mute

There was a headline in Liberia’s biggest newspaper saying ebola was invented by whites so it’s already happening.

        • Max

          They have a newspaper?

      • Ebola virus was first described in 1976, years before genetic engineering technology was available. The fact that this epidemic has spread so far is due entirely to human negligence. The importance of not eating bush meat – especially not bats and primates – was not stressed, and quarantines were not imposed quickly enough.

    • JackKrak

Come to think of it, the last time I saw a Democratic national convention on tv, it did look a lot like Liberia….

    • MooTieFighter

if their is a vaccination, they will be the first to get it. it is us common americans that will suffer a slow death

  • MekongDelta69

Just another ‘wonder’ Africa has given us in the way of technological advances… I mean, deadly diseases over the last multi-thousands of years.

  • Nuts. Unless the patient goes public on his own volition, we’ll never know if he was a black African from Liberia or a white do-gooder from Dallas.

  • Ograf

I was having a discussion last week with a friend of mine who assured me that Ebola would never get to the U.S. So much for that thought. With the ignorance of the Africans getting Ebola I expect we can well count the death rate into the 6 and perhaps 7 digits.

  • just the beginning. remember the 2nd blood moon is the 8th!

    • Anglokraut

A lunar eclipse has nothing to do with an Ebola outbreak.

      • yeah its weird regardless. sign of the times I guess.

          Sign of the end times.

  • Petronius

Dr Tom Frieden says Ebola “does not spread from someone who doesn’t have fever and other symptoms. So, it’s only someone who is sick with Ebola who can spread the disease.”

Are you sure about that Tom? I mean really sure?

The American OB doctor who was flown back to Emory Hospital says he did not come into contact with anybody who had symptoms.

    • Usually Much Calmer

Yeah, I am not trained in lie detection on or anything, but something about the way in which Dr. Frieden’s statements were framed suggested to me that he wants his audience to believe this more than he knows it to be true. I just got a Lady MacBeth vibe reading them.

    • Who Me?

“[I]t’s only someone who is sick with Ebola who can spread the disease.”
Until they find out it isn’t…….

      • cherrie greenbaum123

Right. And it’s not airborne. Until it is. Then we’ll get the, “Sorry if you believed us, bitchez!”

      • tlk244182

Truly, no one, including these people, know for sure how it is spread. I’m going to Dick’s Sporting Goods right now to see if there are any 12 gauge shells left. Bought several gallons of bleach this morning.

CDC issues Ebola guidelines for U.S. funeral homes

“CBS46 News has confirmed the Centers for Disease Control has issued guidelines to U.S. funeral homes on how to handle the remains of Ebola patients.”

Maybe this is the “October Surprise” that the Dems keep gloating about?

Dallas: You’re going to need bigger hospitals.

    • Chasmania

Those CDC guidelines are more worrying than anything else I’ve heard regarding this outbreak. It looks to me like they’re trying to get ahead of the curve regarding a handling of mass casualties.

    • Flanders21

Ebola has spread to C.L. site. My i.p. has been banned. Spread the word.

Well, you didn’t expect it to cross the Atlantic on its own did you?

  • dd121

If they had sealed Africa from the US this wouldn’t have happened. Obama helps “his people”, Americans die.

    • Bon, From the Land of Babble

If the Bushes fly out of Texas for Kennebunkport, you’ll know there is far more to this than what the CDC is telling us.

    • Teresa Nichols

Actually, it should be “Obama and his people help Americans die”, because I think that’s the goal for him and those who shall not be named who are pulling his strings. You can’t have that 3rd world look and feel without some deadly, 3rd world disease running rampant.

    • evilsandmich

Just like the Obala virus that’s across the country and paralyzing kids in Colorado, all so Obama can force feed us a few more brownies in his effort to stuff ballot boxes and stick it to YT.

The usual being: “Oh we’ve been seeing these cases for awhile now, it’s not so contagious, nothing to worry about, we’re keeping it contained….. who was that fiddling while Rome burned?

    • Chasmania

Dis-information. They will now claim that they “have it all under control” and that the “system works. Nothing to worry about ” and such tripe.

I am betting the feds are quietly scouring that flight for others, who will all be whisked away to be treated, so as to avoid any signs of a pandemic, etc…

      • Mergatroyd

“I am betting the feds are quietly scouring that flight for others… who can then be exposed to as many other Americans as possible so as to create a pandemic.”

That info about the bulletin to the funeral homes is all anyone needs to know. There are probably plans in place to burn the bodies.

        • tlk244182

I think most of the bodies will be diverse. I dont think it’s a conspiricy, just a phuk up. No one is perfect, not even them. Colored people will lose a higher percentage of their population than we will, I think, and the Federal government may well collapse on its own, without our having to fire a single shot. Those clowns are not up to this challenge.
Remains to be seen who will emerge as the beneficiary of all this, but I’m betting its us.

Ban all third world immigration to the US.
Ban all visitations to/from Sub-Saharan Africa.
These things should have been done a long time ago.
But now Obammy has sent 3,000 troops to this area.
Troop movement being the classic way to spread infectious diseases all throughout history.
Almost like he wants Ebola to come here…what better way for “us” to all be “equal”…

  • dave

Looks like the movie “outbreak” is becoming a reality in the US.

  • cherrie greenbaum123

This loving liberal embrace of the negro has been repaid to YT by having Ebola packaged in shiny gold wrapping paper with a gigantic bow on top and delivered to America’s front door. How about organizing a gigantic “We Are the World” campaign and all the DWLs can go to Africa to minister to the poor, diseased Africans rather than bringing their infested bodies here to our shores? You know what? At this point, I don’t care anymore. If you’re white and love the negro, I’m not here to stop you. Go French kiss the Ebola victims if it makes you feel superior. I don’t give a f***. Just stay out of this country and don’t bring any of your diseased pets back with you.

    • Who Me?

And once you go, don’t come back. We don’t want you or any of the filthy diseases you might be bringing back with you.

  • OhWow

AIDS, Malaria, Ebola, etc. Africa is a wonderland.

I find it funny how many racist blacks argue about how europeans brought disease to the indians, yet look at Africa. It’s the most infested, rancid, impoverished area on earth with every disease known to man.

  • kikz2

yup, they let him go frm the hosp, and he was loose for a week around here… OMG….

  • Paleoconn

Good luck finding all the people he was in contact with. We’re talking planes and airports. There is no direct flight from Dallas to Monrovia, so likely a European hub was infected. Look for new cases there. Stewardesses fly all over. This cam already be on every continent. I have a feeling this will get very ugly. Hunker down this winter, White people. Cocoon. Keep ebola out.

  • George Costanza

I think anyone who contracts ebola, who hasn’t been to and from west africa should sue the federal govt and the CDC, the balck asshole refused to enact a travel ban from that region and should be held accountable.

    • willbest

So they should get money from all the other tax payers who didn’t go to Africa?

How about they are able to sue personally every Federal Employee, with payments first coming out of their pension and healthcare funds, followed by wage garnishment.

      • George Costanza

You’re missing the point, I like your idea and I can roll with but if it’s going take a lawsuit to get the travel ban enacted then so be it. I’m surprised no one has filed a lawsuit against the Govt and the CDC because of the disease illegal aliens are spreading. AHHHHHHHHH!!!

        • willbest

Sadly its called Sovereign immunity. The government cannot be sued for anything it does in its official capacity unless it consents to it, and it does so in a very limited basis. Its going to have to be mob justice. Which is probably why all kinds of random agencies have bought hollow point bullets.

          • Who Me?

“The government cannot be sued for anything it does in its official capacity unless it consents to it”

What kind of an asinine policy is that? I want to sue you, but I have to get your permission to do so? You’d have to be some special kind of stupid to agree. (And yes, we all know the govt is a special kind of stupid, but even THEY aren’t quite THAT stupid.)
“it does so in a very limited basis”

          • willbest

Well there are a couple provisions in the US Constitution that speak directly to allowing recourse. Such as just compensation for a taking, or the unquestioning of public debts.

The main exemption is for people that enter into contracts with the United States. After all, you are unlikely to agree to do something for the US if it doesn’t agree to grant you recourse.

The “for the little people” exemptions to immunity are primarily

where under color of law a government employee deprives you of a constitutional right. Though the Supreme Court has bailed out Uncle Sam by limiting clearly worded constitutional rights.

and then the Court has also read that you are allowed to sue the IRS in order to obtain taxes it unlawfully withheld.

  • Ultimate187

Decades of Western Aid to Africa caused their population explosion. They are dependent on continued assistance which will include Ebola treatments. For Whites who wanted this burden, be prepared to get it in spades.

Again, why in the world isn’t the US preventing people from entering the US who’ve been in infected regions and if the do want to enter, quarantining them for at least 21 days. Preferably in a remote area and absolutely on their dime. Then again, it’s probably not coincidence the “mystery virus” and the other odd illness come shortly after all the “children” from central America invade the US.
This government is truly moronic and absolutely, positively reigns, not governs for the people.

African nationals from the Ebola infected/affected countries should be banned from entering America. Period. The powers in charge will ignore this, and cases will increase to massive numbers.

    • Boris McGuffin

Plus which, Africans of any kind from anywhere should be banned from entering America.

      • Max

I thought the same. A carrier goes from Nigeria to England for a few days during the incubation period thence to Anytown USA to visit his relatives who also should not be here in the first place. They all get sick and spread diversity all around town.

-And the same folks who assured us that it would never reach the US are now assuring us that the air passengers are completely safe -though they quarantined the crew. This poses no threat whatsoever to the public though we have no idea who this death vector interacted with between the time he arrived he arrived and his several hospital visits BEFORE they determined that he has Ebola.

  • thegodsofeden

I live in the D/FW metro area. Today, on the news, they are reporting that the man brought himself to the hospital Friday with symptoms. He told the admitting staff that he had recently returned from a family visit in Liberia. That notation somehow didn’t make it to the on-call physicians and they sent him home. He was brought back Sunday by paramedics in worse condition. It has now come out that five school children were exposed to the man during that time. Now the children and paramedics are in at-home isolation. Yeah, I think they’ve got it contained.

    • Olorin

I saw that announced earlier today. The comments on the ABC News story are extensive with many, sadly, blaming the hospital.

I agree there is some reason to be angry at the health care workers…but the real issue is that their hands are tied. Imagine the Sharpton-Jackson CO that would result if the hospital had insisted on quarantine or testing provisions for anyone entering it who recently returned from west Africa. Surveillance! Gubmint! The illuminati!

Of course Occam’s solution would be to close the border to any travel from and to those fungal nations till this thing is under control/burns itself out. But that won’t happen.

I’ve been reflecting that this all is yet another dimension by which jihadists (of whatever nation and in whatever number) will navigate when they choose to send Ebola-infected elements at random to our society. Of course I realize that a jihadist who is working alone is not a jihadist, just a disgruntled employee.

This, I think, is why the CDC and hospitals are being close-lipped and studiously competent and unconcerned–taking the higher scientific and technological ground. Refusing the stance of histrionics that the jihadists and africanizers are hoping to see, and feed on.

This relates to the police and police chief in Ferguson just standing there and letting the antics cascade past them. There is nothing to be gained by engaging it when it is in histrionic mode.

That, in a nutshell, is one of the most basic differences between northern and NW European ancestry whites and the less evolved humans. The latter cannot control themselves. Cannot get, or stay, organized. Cannot “keep his head while those about him are losing theirs and blaming it on him.”

I have another concern, which is that this is yet another distraction–some say October surprise–to keep Americans focused on anything but our borders, our economy, the genocide of whites worldwide, and the absolute failure of both parties to do anything but continue Meester Veelson’s war on the US. Then there’s all the things that will be ignored this winter as a result of the new African hysteria, like veteran’s healthcare, vaccinations for our own children and elders, stemming the STD epidemics coming out of BRA, and Islamic moth-chomping of the Constitution.

The fact that white people do not eat bats and monkeys makes it extremely unlikely that Ebloa can become entrenched in our nations, and there are no animals in the US that can act as a convenient reservoir for the disease, as North America does not have fruit bats. There are also no wild primates native to the US.

A bigger threat to the US population is probably bubonic plague. This was accidentally introduced from China about 100 years ago, and has gotten into the native rodent population in the western states. It is currently wiping out prairie dog populations on the plains of Colorado and Kansas. It will pause when it reaches the west bank of the Mississippi/Missouri river system, but once it does cross, it’ll get into the rats and mice living in the filthy slums of the rust belt, making places like Detroit even more “vibrant” than they already are. The residents of course will blame whites and not their own slovenly behavior that attracts rodents in the first place. Fortunately, Yersina pestis (plague) responds to normal antibiotics. Unfortunately, the early stages resemble flu; it’s only when the lymph nodes swell up that it is obviously plague. By the time the black blood blisters appear, it’s pretty much too late.
