On Tuesday, the U.S. Border Patrol released Jose Antonio Vargas, who has described himself as the country’s “most privileged” illegal immigrant, after detaining him earlier in the day at McAllen Airport for not having U.S. identification.

Vargas said he came to McAllen, Texas, “to shed a light on children who parts of America and many in the news media are actively turning their backs on. But what I saw was the generosity of the American people, documented and undocumented, in the Rio Grande Valley.”

In a previous essay in Politico, Vargas had written that his celebrity and “visibility, frankly, has protected me” from deportation and detention. He acknowledged that “while hundreds of thousands of immigrants have been detained and deported in the past three years,” he has produced documentaries, co-founded an activist organization for illegal immigrants, and traveled to 43 different states.

Vargas was reportedly released with a notice to appear before an immigration judge, which is what many of the illegal immigrants flooding across the border think are “permisos” that will allow them to indefinitely stay in the country.

Do we have the ‘permiso‘ to kick your illegal alien butt back to Mexico?

    • Vargas is Filipino.

      • MekongDelta69

Ok – so I’ll send him to Michelle Malkin’s house and SHE can kick his illegal alien butt back to Mindinao or O’Po – or wherever the hell he’s from.

Let him spread his garbage there…

    • RisingReich

Let’s take him half way home – over the Pacific and drop his smart a$$ there. Since he’s so accomplished, progressive and intelligent I’m sure he’ll have no problems (or as you say isssuuuuues)……

So someone can publicly flaunt American immigration laws and worst that happens is they get arrested and jailed for three days and then given a court summons in a couple of months?

If I were a governor of Arizona or Texas, I’d activate the National Guard, declare Martial Law and turn the invaders back in the middle of the river. You don’t issue a “ticket” to people who have declared war on your civilization.

    • IstvanIN

The Feds would nationalize the National Guard to prevent that.

      • dd121

Perhaps, but Obama hasn’t shown much backbone in his six years.

    Manufactured martyr.

No you illegal moron. It was their OWN countries and peoples, their OWN parents, who turned their backs on them and sent them on a perilous journey to the great big orphanage to the north…

If you come from a hellhole this gives you no right to invade my country. Go home to hell and fix it.

    Get out and stay out.

What would make them think anything different? I wonder if I went to their country if I’d get a piece of paper saying it would really be a nice idea if I would report to an immigration hearing in a few days, but I was free to go wherever I wanted to, do whatever I pleased, and stay as long as I wanted. Why not? It’s what we give their people when they come here.

This goes on long enough, I expect bands of citizens will start taking things into their own hands….AND since this guy has found it fit to expose himself and make himself a news ‘story’…he’d better hope the Feds find him first when that happens.

Time seems to be growing short. It’s clear to me the public is nearing its limit of what it will tolerate.

I can’t know this, but I think the string pullers have miscalculated and started the last chapter of the plan too soon. I hope I’m right but I never bet on ‘hope’. Ever.

    • Who Me?

You may have a point there, RR. It seems the “string pullers” are getting awfully impatient the last 2-3 years. They have overreached and gone too far in one way or another several times, and had to retract. The pendulum is nearly at it’s apex, and they know the trend will reverse itself when it starts back the other way. They have to get in all the destruction they can as fast as they can, so they are getting reckless.

I think a lot of the general public is like me–totally stunned at how our government has turned on it’s own citizens in the past 6 years in particular, but it was starting even before that.

It’s just that the arrogant puppets in office (and mainly their handlers) are under the impression that things have gone far enough that they no longer have to hide their true intentions. In this they have misjudged, as non-whites, and self-hating white elites usually do, sooner or later.
