U.S.: Jihadi Featured in Suicide Bombing Video in Syria Grew Up in Florida

Evan Perez et al., CNN, May 30, 2014

The truck was loaded with munitions, then driven up a hillside in northern Syria. Moments later, there was a massive blast followed by cries of “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is great” in Arabic, and the rattling of gunfire.

The suicide attacker in the bombing depicted in this online video was an American jihadi, radical Islamists claiming responsibility for the blast have said.

Late Thursday, two U.S. officials confirmed their boast.

The man called by the nom de guerre Abu Hurayra Al-Amriki was a U.S. citizen, who grew up in Florida and went to school there.

Neither official would disclose the bomber’s real name. Investigators are interviewing family members.

Al-Amriki is among a group of Americans whom intelligence agents have been trying to keep tabs on since they went to Syria some months ago to join extremists in the fight against the Syrian government.

{snip}

Abu Farouk al Shamy, a spokesman for the rebel Suqour al-Sham battalion, told CNN that the Sunday attack was executed in coordination with the al-Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-linked organization that the U.S. government has blacklisted as a foreign terror organization.

One video on YouTube, with the title “the American martyrdom from al-Nusra Front,” identifies the suicide bomber as Abu Hurayra Al-Amriki. This video and several other social media posts feature a picture of a bearded man with that name, smiling and holding a cat.

Al-Amriki in Arabic means “the American.” {snip}

Syrian activists say the video is from Sunday and shows militants’ preparations and ultimate attack on Syrian military checkpoints in Jabal Al-Arba’een, near the city of Ariha in Idlib province and believed to be along a key rebel supply route.

According to Syrian activists and social media postings, four vehicles laden with explosives were part of the attack. One YouTube video says the American detonated the biggest one, which contained 17 tons of explosives, including artillery shells. It is not clear what exactly this man’s involvement was, including whether he was driving an armored truck, a tanker or some other vehicle.

{snip}

U.S. intelligence and law enforcement officials have expressed concerns about Americans joining the fight in Syria, including with groups like the jihadist al-Nusra Front. The worry is that they and other Westerners might pose a threat when they return a home.

“There’s going to be a diaspora out of Syria,” FBI Director James Comey said last week. “And we are determined not to let lines be drawn from Syria today to a future 9/11.”

  • Islam demands greater loyalty than does the USA, and muzzies respond to it. We don’t have 72 virgins to offer them. What happens when jihad involves hitting targets in the USA? Well, the fifth column will hit the detonate button, of course. There is no sound economic or social reason to have them here, so give them a sand box to play in until such time as passage can be booked back to the sand dunes from whence they sprung. The safety of the country should come before PC, but with the Obamunist we know better.

  • Another one of these birthright “citizens” or a hand out citizenship like candy “citizens,” or a John Walker Lindh type native born white leftist who converted to Islam to stick it to the man?

  • Oil Can Harry

A sane country would strip any American who fights alonside Syria’s Al Qaeda-linked rebels of their US citizenship.

    • JohnEngelman

      Strip them of their citizenship.

Give more weapons to Israel. The Israelis live in a tough neighborhood.

      • ThomasER916

Give nothing to Israel. They’re not American. They’re not White. They’re not allies. They deserve nothing.

        • Zaporizhian Sich

They are also doing everything they can to exterminate us. Sending them weapons which they will either give to our enemies or use them to slaughter our people is insanity.

      • propagandaoftruth

So…he did blow himself up. Lemonade, anyone?

Israel has plenty of weapons and knows what to do with them. Just let them do what they do. Better them than us, ha ha!

    • I doubt Israel is supporting those rebels. They certainly weren’t fond of the Assad family, but Bashar and his late father, Hafez were at least predictable. An Al-Qaeda run replacement government in Syria would be the complete opposite.

      • ThomasER916

Why wouldn’t Israel support rebels? They’re shipping Sub-Saharan Africans to America, Europe, and Australia.

      • Oil Can Harry

They may not want Al Qaeda to run Syria but they may favor that nation splintering. They truly loathe Bashar Assad.

        • In such a case, I would still have to worry that one of the successor states would end up as an Al-Qaeda sanctuary, were I an Israeli politician or general.

          • dd121

I think they’re fully aware of that.

        • dd121

Obama has always been a crypto supporter of the Islamist’s ever since he’s been in office. And why not, he studied at the madras when he was a kid.

      • Xerxes22

Syria supports Hezbollah, the most dangerous enemy of Israel. In 2006, Hezbollah fought the Israeli army to a standstill. If Assad is overthrown and replaced with Sunni fanatics, then Shia Hezbollah will be isolated and less of a threat to Israel. American foreign policy in the mideast is always dictated by Israel, so we support the enemies of Assad even though they are Al-Quada and Sunni fanatics.

      • Pro_Whitey

That’s what I would think, too, but it might be that I am just a goyishe kop, or someone who thinks like a goy (makes sense, because I am a goy). The neocons, with their disproportionate concentration of pro-Israel American Jews, appear to be up to their armpits in these “Arab Spring” regime changes, or at least everything I have heard out of them appears to be supportive. In Syria, as with Egypt and Libya, the “Arab Spring” has mean replacement of Arab regimes largely at peace with Israel of harder line anti-Israel muslims. Why would the neocons cheer on such developments? Perhaps they think the Arab world will be more destabilized and disorganized by fighting amongst themselves as the harder line muslims take power from the more secular/tolerant pan-Arab leaders. I have noticed that in Iraq, Libya, Egypt, and Syria, Christians are getting it in the neck in the process of these regime changes. I wonder, too, if this might be one of those long-term Jews never forget vendetta campaign, that all of those who fought Israel in 1948, 1967, and 1973 eventually have to be overthrown and defeated, no matter what replaces them.

    • Sick of it

A sane country would not have created, or continue to fund, al Qaeda.

  • JSS

The latest I’ve heard about Syria is that Washington is planning to arm and train the Jihadist fighting against the secular Assad government. So I don’t see why CNN has any problem with Americans joining the rebels since according to the mainstream narrative the rebels are good guys as long as they are fighting Assad. They only become bad guys when they surface in Yemen or Pakistan or something.

I don’t even think Shakespeare could have could have come up with words that could do the idiocy of Amurrikan foreign policy justice.

    • Jesse James

The mistake many people make JSS when evaluating American foreign policy is to assume that 1) we are a nation state and 2) our government officials are working for the best interest of America and Americans. When you finally accept that we no longer have a functioning national government and that we are run by globalist traitors who are working to achieve the goals of the New World Order which include the destruction of national sovereignty, the bankrupting of our Federal government and the impoverishment of the historic white American people then everything becomes much more clear. The Great Betrayal that Patrick Buchanan wrote about back in 1998 as the corporate shifting of America’s manufacturing base outside of our borders is a modern day Morgenthau Plan designed to leave America a de-industrialized backwater.

      • dd121

This post is hereby awarded the coveted dd121 “gold star” award for unrestrained truth.

      • JSS

Excellent post and I truly wish more White Americans would open their eyes and realize that this government is not here to serve them. The only thing I would add to your post is that their is a very specific group pulling our strings and they have been for decades.

      • Sick of it

Many Americans continue to live in a fantasy world wherein the country is governed by a rule of law. We have not had any semblance of the rule of law in this country for decades. Otherwise – Why do street gangs exist? Why are there no border controls? Why are blacks NOT punished so much of the time for crimes they have committed? Why are the ruling elite above the law? And obviously – Why are our civil laws in total conflict with our own Constitution, the very foundation of American law?

    • dd121

The “good guys” by the msm are Al Quida rebels who our Dear Leader wants to help. Personally, I think Assad is on the side of civilization. Tell me if I’m wrong, cause I think it’s all very confusing.

      • IstvanIN

Assad is the good guy in that conflict, our government is not.

        • Jesse James

I know any Christian should think really hard about the fact that it is the dictator Assad who is protecting the Christian community in Syria and it is the radical muslim groups being supported by our government with funds, training and equipment that are responsible for torture, murder, rape and pillaging of Syrian Christians. The US police state has the clergy in this country so afraid of losing their tax exempt status that almost no religious leaders are speaking out against the fact that Christian communities that have existed in the Middle East since the lifetime of Christ’s Apostles are being destroyed by forces allied to and supported by the United States. Just one more point of fact, these depredations were also happening under the Bush administration though they have escalated greatly under Obama’s “rule”.

    • I don’t think Washington needs to bother – however they feel – for two reasons: 1. Early on, the Saudis contributed enormous quantities of weapons to anti-Assad forces, and 2. Once any civil war has gone on long enough, the unfortunate country involved winds up awash in military weaponry that has been stolen, looted, bought and/or captured from that nation’s own military and police. Lebanon’s prolonged misery is a perfect example. If you remember the 1970’s radicals here in the USA, they loved robbing National Guard armories, and we weren’t having a civil war at the time.

  • Caucasoid88

Could Middle-Eastern volatility and instability be blamed on the volatility and instability of its inhabitants?

    • Can the state of black neighborhoods be blamed on the greed, sloth and criminality of their inhabitants?

      • Caucasoid88

Could the pollution and disarray of Mexican neighborhoods be blamed on general listlessness…

        • tlk244182

Actually, the Mestizo neighborhoods where I live (Newburgh, NY) are poor but for the most part well kept. The border between Black and Mestizo is the line of litter and trash. And from what I observe, the mostly-Mexicans are working: cab-driving, construction, fast-food, car-wash, etc. The Blacks are hanging on the corner selling dope, and their women spend the day in the waiting room at Social Services. Don’t misunderstand me, I want Hispanics gone as badly as anyone, but disarrayed and listless is a more fitting description of Negroes.

  • JohnEngelman

I wish we would stop trying to help the good rebels in Syria while trying to keep weapons out of the hands of the bad rebels.

We have no friends in that civil war. When our enemies are fighting each other, we should not interfere.

    • Zaporizhian Sich

Indeed, I don’t agree with you most of the time, but in this case, I do wholeheartedly. Napoleon has said “Never interrupt an enemy while he’s making a mistake.” We should not interrupt their killing one another, indeed we should egg it on.

      • JohnEngelman

U.S. policy during the war between Iran and Iraq was to give clandestine support to the side that was losing. We did not give that side enough support to win, only enough not to lose.

If the side we supported began to win, we switched out support to the other side.

This was not the sort of foreign policy one would want to announce in a speech before the United Nations. Nevertheless, it kept the war going for eight years, and weakened two countries that were dangerous to our interests.

        • Zaporizhian Sich

The goal of that was killing civilians by the millions. U.S. foreign policy is genocidal, that is why white Americans are going to find they are on their own in the coming civil and race war here,

          • Jesse James

I hope that we are left on our own, my fear is that whatever globalist is sitting in the White House when things really get ugly will invite the UN to provide military forces to restore order.

          • Zaporizhian Sich

Yes, but those blue helmets make superb targets!

        • Cardinal Richelieu did the same thing with the warring German principalities during the Thirty Years War.

      • Jesse James

Zap this just a continuation of Israel’s policy of keeping the Islamic groups constantly fighting each other. American foreign policy makers are Israel’s bitches.

  • dd121

There is no such thing as “Islamaphobia” as the lefties claim. There is an ACTUAL threat from Islam on our shores that must be acknowledged and countered.

    • Zaporizhian Sich

I would say there is an Islamic threat that must be annihilated, period.

      • tlk244182

What about supporting them against our other enemy? (Although I just read somewhere that Jews in Europe are contemplating an alliance with Moslem immigrants against the Nationalists.)

        • Zaporizhian Sich

Are you kidding? The enemy of our greatest enemy is still our enemy.

        • In France, Jews and Neos have already protested together against Muslim immigration.

    • “Exploding-American”?

    • mobilebay

Mekong, I’ve often wondered about the “hyphenated” people. If we went to war with their “other” country, which side would they be on? Same with dual citizenship. I once asked someone with dual citizenship about that. He was quiet for a moment, then said “I’d have to think about that.” So much for what American citizenship means to a lot of today’s immigrants.

      • I can answer that. If we went to war against the Texans, Californians or New Yorkers, I would never take any prisoners. I would never expect to be taken as prisoner, either.

      • Sick of it

We have “dual citizens” at the highest levels of the American government. Technically, one should at least refer to Obama as a dual citizen (though he may only have Indonesian citizenship).

      • IstvanIN

No man can serve two masters. One people, one realm, one ruler. Nothing else really works.

        • Unfortunately, you are probably correct where most people are concerned. A dog can only serve one master. I am a human being. however, and not a dog.

I gave the Japanese at Kojundo the details of my project on semiconductor iridium oxides from Australia. My Australian thesis adviser was delighted until I self-classified my work and left him out of the loop until project completion.

“The worry is that they and other Westerners might pose a threat when they return a home”

Bizarro news reporting can even affect the right. They certainly posed a threat to where they went.

  • Zaporizhian Sich

What the U.S. government should do is first issue an arrest warrant for them so the moment they return to the U.S they will be thrown in federal prison. It’s illegal for private citizens to fight abroad without the blessing of the U.S. government, why don’t they use that law against them. They certainly would do that if any of US went off to take up arms to save our fellow whites abroad.

    • It is legal for private US citizens to fight abroad, such as in the French Foreign Legion, but this must always be for a genuine government and under responsible command and control. It is very illegal for a US citizen to join or provide material support (even raising money) for a terrorist organization. These are non-state actors under no proper command and control. For instance, Americans of Somali extraction have traveled to Somalia to join Al-Shabaab, and that is an absolute violation of federal law. Black American Muslims joining Nigeria’s Boko Haram would be equally guilty.

      • ThomasER916

I imagine US Citizens like myself going to Sweden and fighting the Culture of Critique, starting with Paideia.

      • Zaporizhian Sich

Then you know as I do that any movement to aid whites in any way is regarded by default as a terrorist organization. Sure it’s legal to fight abroad for governments who are hostile towards their own native born population, but illegal to do something to help our own. THAT is why we are going to wake up one day to find we are criminals and terrorists just by being alive.

I think that having Muslims in America leave and kill other Muslims or die trying is a win/win. We should encourage-and it would be VERY easy, Muslims to kill each other. Hopefully Heaven will run out of virgins, quickly.

    • dd121

When the Western Powers created the middle east states in the aftermath of the First WW, they were quite conscious of dividing the regions in a way that would keep the Arabs weak and fighting among themselves. It’s worked so far.

      • I must disagree. I will never blame on deliberate wickedness what I can more easily attribute to stupidity.

        • Zaporizhian Sich

Most of the violence in the world is the product of deliberate wickedness on the part of incredibly wicked demons in human form. They look, walk, and talk like us, but they are NOT us. That is what a psychopath is.

        • dd121

Might have been some of both.

    • Who Me?

I think I mentioned here once before, Muhammad never specified in his mad-man babbling Koran that the virgins would be female or even human……..Might be 72 male virgin hamsters they’re getting!

      • Alucard_the_last

Or 72 virgins are not virgin by choice. Imagine if they looked like Roger Dangerfield or Rosie O’Donnell.

  • Jacobite2

Sorry, nobody named Abu Hurayura Al-Amriki is a Westerner, or an American.

  • Jesse James

A serious national government would deport the families of recent immigrants who participate in foreign wars or terrorists activities.

    • Einsatzgrenadier

A serious national government would never jeopardize the lives and safety of Americans by importing Muslims and other third world trash, continuing to do so until the mainstream population is demographically overwhelmed and reduced to a minority. Of course, ever since the US decided to commit racial and cultural suicide in 1964, we no longer live under such a government.

  • IstvanIN

At least our policy towards Syria is in concert with our internal policies: Obama wants President Assad overthrown so that Christians and minority Muslims will be discriminated against and killed in Syria, just like he wants Christian-White Americans exterminated in the US.

    • Actually, the majority in Syria are the Sunnis that the Assad family’s Alawite (vaguely Shi’ite) minority have been discriminating against.

      • IstvanIN

The Sunnis in Syria are linked to the Muslim Brotherhood which would no doubt be a much more oppressive regime than the Assads.

  • IKUredux

Excuse me, am I missing something here? What, Muslims who grow up in this country are somehow magically immune to the call of jihad? Seriously? Who the hell in their right mind would ever think that? For the record: There are no moderate Muslims. Nope, they are all radical. (It’s what their so called religion demands of them). The difference is: some are cowards and some do what the Quran demands.

  • Alucard_the_last

Now he is in hell and I’m glad.

All these wars that overthrew stable regimes in the middle east were forced on America by the Israel lobby. They now have what they want, never ending turmoil as well as the last of the Christian middle easterners being exterminated. Of course the only money Israel spends on these wars is the lobbying money spent in Washington to coerce our goverment to go to war for Israel. Our White Christian young men die in these wars while the IDF harasses Palestinian civilians.
Even that Israel propaganda periodical National Review admits that the GNP of Israel is equal to the amount of aid given to Israel by the American taxpayer. That amount does not even count the vast amount of tax avoidance money given to Israel by various Jewish non profits such as ADL AIPAC, AJC and hundreds of others.

  • none of your business

European Jews, especially the English and French allied themselves with the Muslims against the people of FRance and England decades ago. When the French govt decreed against burkahs and hijabs in public schools, the FRench Jews stood with the Muslims to protest. French Jews have also demonstrated against the selling of pork in neighborhoods newly taken over by Muslims. Whenever there is any conflict between Europeans and Muslims the Jews always stand with the Muslims. The Jews of Europe have created almost all the anti free speech laws that decree prison for speaking out against the Islam takeover of nations and entire cities and neighborhoods.
The main enemy of Judiasm for 2,000 years is Christianity. Therefore, any enemy of Christianity is a friend of Jews. This also explains the 120 year old love affair of Jews and communism. Atheist goys do not escape the hatred of Jews because they are not Christians. Atheist goys are Christian heritage and must be destroyed either by communism, Islam or whatever means possible.
In a practical sense, White goys are the only people capable of competing with Jews for global supremacy. Russia 1917 to the present day, blacks in America, Muslims against Europeans, whatever it takes to destroy us the hated 2 legged sub human beasts the goys.

Here are some reasons the Syrian civil war is NOT a good thing:

    1. Christians are being slaughtered (by the rebels of course)

    2. This may lead to Al Qaeda controlling part of Syria

    3. Most calamitously of all, the West is being pressured to take in tens of thousands of Muslim war refugees.

  • dd121

In wars like this one, I always go for the guy in the suit, not the moslem garb. As Iraq proved, a dictator is the best bet for stability. No reason not to support Assad.
