Gay Rights, Civil Rights, And How Freedom Dies

Pat Buchanan, VDARE, February 24, 2014

“Religious Right Cheers a Bill Allowing Refusal to Serve Gays.”

Thus did the New York Times’ headline, leaving no doubt as to who the black hats are, describe the proposed Arizona law to permit businesses, on religious grounds, to deny service to same-sex couples.

Examples of intolerance provided by the Times:

“In New Mexico, a photographer declined to take pictures of a lesbian couple’s commitment ceremony. In Washington State, a florist would not provide flowers for a same-sex wedding. And in Colorado, a baker refused to make a cake for a party celebrating the wedding of two men.”

The question Gov. Jan Brewer faces?

Should Christians, Muslims, Mormons who refuse, on religious grounds, to serve same-sex couples—that photographer, that florist, that baker, for example—be treated as criminals?

Or should Arizona leave them alone?

Who is imposing his views and values here?

What we are seeing in Arizona in microcosm is what we have witnessed in America for half a century: the growing intolerance of those who preach tolerance and the corruption of the concept of civil rights.

We have seen the progression before.

In 1954, the Supreme Court declared that segregation in public schools was wrong and every black child must be allowed to attend his or her neighborhood school. By 1968, the court was demanding that white children be forcibly bussed across entire cities to insure an arbitrary racial balance.

Under the civil rights acts of the 1960s, businesses were told that in hiring, promotion, pay, and benefits, black and white, men and women must be treated alike. Equality of opportunity.

But, soon, that was no longer enough. We needed equality of result.

Corporations were ordered to maintain extensive records of the race, gender, ethnicity and sexual preferences of their entire work force to prove they were not guilty of discrimination.

And if your work force is insufficiently diverse today, you are a citizen under suspicion in a country we used to call the Land of the Free.

Consider how far we have come.

Virtually all decisions to hire, fire, promote or punish employees, to oversee the sale and rental of housing, to ensure that all minorities have access to all restaurants, hotels and motels, are under the jurisdiction of these minions who are right out of Orwell’s “1984.”

Scores of thousands of bureaucrats—academic, corporate, government—are on watch, overseeing our economy, patrolling our society, monitoring our behavior.

A radical idea: Suppose we repealed the civil rights laws and fired all the bureaucrats enforcing these laws.

Does anyone think hotels, motels and restaurants across Dixie, from D.C. to Texas, would stop serving black customers? Does anyone think there would again be signs sprouting up reading “whites” and “colored” on drinking foundations and restrooms?

In his indictment of George III, Jefferson wrote of the king: “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.”

Is that not what we have today in spades?

Why do we need this vast army of bureaucrats?

They exist to validate the slander that America is a racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic country which would revert to massive discrimination were it not for heroic progressives standing guard.

And, indeed, some bigots might revert to type. But so what?

Cannot a free people deal with social misconduct with social sanctions?

And isn’t this what freedom is all about? The freedom of others to say things we disagree with, to publish ideas we disbelieve in, even to engage in behavior we dislike?

As for the Christians of Arizona and same-sex unions in Arizona, if they don’t like each other, can they not just avoid each other? After all, it’s a big state.

Why will we not see the lapsing or repeal of civil rights laws whose work is done? That would mean cracking the rice bowls of hundreds of thousands of diversicrats who would then have to apply for jobs from folks they have spent their lives harassing.

America is simply a decadent collapsing empire that is opposed to everything that’s good in the universe. We don’t stand for anything other then oppressing Whites and Western culture. We don’t really care about gays. If we did we would oppose muslim immigration and wouldn’t be supporting Al Qaeda in Syria. But promoting homosexuality comes at the expense of traditional Western culture so promote where it here and use against countries like Russia who aren’t on board with White genocide. We aren’t telling the Suadis to be more gay friendly are we?
Civil rights was just a tool to bring down Whites and let the diversity start raping our women and beating up out children and old people. It’s bad for us Whites so now it’s holier then the Ten Commandments. But again we aren’t demanding any non White countries grant minorities special status. America stands for nothing but opposition to Whites and Western culture. All the causes it advocates for are camouflage to that end.

    • Homo_Occidentalis

You’re right that the push for gay “rights” in the West is only about white genocide. Hollywood only presents white men as limp-wristed effeminate gays juxtaposed to virile black and Hispanic men. It’s an attempt to demoralize us and to subliminally reinforce the concept that sodomy is only acceptable (and indeed encouraged) among whites. The less of us out there breeding, the better as far as our masters are concerned.

      • BillMillerTime

“Hollywood only presents white men as limp-wristed effeminate gays…”

Like Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood, Matt Damon….right?

        • BonV.Vant

not limp-wristed , but not father figures either. I can’t recall any of them being anything but violent loners in films.

          • mason boyd

This is a very interesting concept.

        • Homo_Occidentalis

The universally despised heterosexual white male lead is purely there because Hollywood knows they can’t make a profit otherwise. As soon as this nation is majority non-white, the Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, and Tom Cruise types will be driven out of Hollywood for good.

        • Katherine McChesney

Jack Nicholson and Clint Eastwood are hardly good examples. Nicholson has many illegitimate children scattered all over Santa Monica and Eastwood is a serial adulterer with many children (some out of wedlock) with many different women.

          • BillMillerTime

Katherine, I never claimed that Nicholson and Eastwood were paragons of moral virtues; I merely offered them into evidence as examples which controdict the silly claim by Homo_Occidentalis “Hollywood only presents white men as limp-wristed effeminate gays.”

“It seems his marriage is solid though there have been rumors that he and Ben Affleck are very ‘close’ if you know what I mean.”

You sound like a gossipy old hen.

        • Brian

Nicholson and Eastwood are not exactly au courant.

      • Laika

There is also an all-out attack on the iconically masculine NFL to force it to accept openly gay honmosexual in its locker rooms and punish harshly those who “bully” other players. Give me a break!

    • Jesse James

I think the globalist elites are also pushing the gay agenda because it fits in with their goal of radically reducing the total world population. From this perspective birth control, abortion, encouraging women to pursue careers instead of motherhood, glorification of homosexuality and euthanasia are all part of the same game plan.

      • Sue

It might be more to demoralize the European. The lifestyle is repulsive to normal people. Having it thrust down their throats makes it more of an abomination. Unconditional surrender as was done to the Germans. Nothing else will do.

        • Jesse James

The white South was forced into unconditional surrender also. I think that in some ways what happened to the Confederacy was precursor to what happened to Germany in WWI. Both challenged the developing globalist hegemony with strong white nationalist governments. There is some connection between the crushed European revolutions in 1848 and the Union Army as there were some socialist agitators who had fled Europe and immigrated to America who served in the Union ranks. I don’t want to overplay this tenuous connection but Marx’s “Communist Manifesto” was published in 1848 and the current anti-white regime is a form of cultural Marxism so there is a clear ideological connection.

          • Karl Marx himself supported the Union and Abraham Lincoln, denouncing the concept of secession as “anti-peoples.”

And in kind, the Americans who volunteered on the Communist side of the Spanish Civil war were called the Abraham Lincoln Brigade.

          • Epiminondas

I hate to bring this up, but Hitler’s favorite American president was Abraham Lincoln. In Mein Kampf he extolls Lincoln’s ruthless suppression of the states.

          • MikeofAges

The Abraham Lincoln Brigade was a club for Americans who fought in the Spanish Civil War. There never was a unit called the Abraham Lincoln Brigade. There was an actual Lincoln Battalion, which some of the Americans who fought in the Civil War did belong to.

The Abraham Lincoln Brigade may have been more apocryphal than actual, a concept rather than an actual organization.

      • BonV.Vant

ABC has declared that a white couple, marrying and having a child at 23, is an “alternative lifestyle”.. So the only white males that “THEY” find acceptable are the ones that do not reproduce. WE have gone from “women have the right to equal pay” to “women who marry and have children are not normal”

      • Sick of it

I’ll again recommend The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. Folks saw this garbage coming decades ago.

        • Sangraal

That book looked interesting, but I was put off by the fact that the protagonist’s surname is ‘Mandela’.

      • M&S

        Jesse James,
I think the globalist elites are also pushing the gay agenda because it fits in with their goal of radically reducing the total world population
This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Blacks in Africa live on a continent that is 50% desert and 40% trying hard with a mix of 10% arable land and jungle too thick the swing a machete through.

They just crossed a billion in 2010. In 2060, they will be at 2.7 billion. By 2100, they will be at 4.3 billion.

China, despite her little experiment with one child families will be at 1.7 billion by 2060. India will be at _3 billion_.

        Any complaints? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Whites are the one race on this earth who have learned to have no more children than we need to sustain population base. We are the one race on this earth that conserves environmental resources for our next generation.

I am convinced that this derives from the reality that you had too many kids in a Ice Age Eurasia and it was lights out for them, the mother and your genes. But think what that means when we are no longer colonizing the planet but rather, inviting them to do the same unto us.

And they all breed like rats.

We cannot save them from this bad habit by inviting them here, we are facing a Genetic Algorithm which is as blindly hostile to change as it is stupidly R-Breeding unable to see the consequences to continued improvement in society where _zero available resources_ equates to zero incentive to self-excellence.

Gays are a self regulating problem.

One generation and they are gone in trade for heightened fertility on the part of some women whose boosted estrogen damages their sons.

The gay Omega male produced is usually at least somewhat useful to society (which is likely why they have persisted) and relatively non criminal, while freeing up more women to hetero males (the other 60% of why they are tolerated).
Not so those who come from a world where everything from inbred genetics to hostile daytime temps and a lack of resources to begin with drives down IQ towards 85 and below.
They have no place in a high achievement condition modern society. They have no understanding of or reward from it’s rules, first and foremost of which is living within a constrained population count.
Whites in 1950 were 27% of this planet’s population. By 2100, we will be 4%. Or nothing.
The only people who will benefit from this are those who either functionally are already suited to the resulting primitivist conditions.
Or whose ability to sustain a high achievement index while oppressing large minority groups is unquestioned.
Killing whites will not remove the high fertility East Asian intelligent group from the world. Nor will it bring alignment with environmental carrying capacity by blacks and Hispanics.
What -will- happen is the destruction of whites alone. As Malthus has his day and all those high TFR groups we have invited in amongst us turn on us in a degraded social condition that can no longer support their reproductive habits.

        • Jesse James

“I am convinced that this derives from the reality that you had too many kids in a Ice Age Eurasia and it was lights out for them, the mother and your genes.”

This is a theory on why whites have lower birth rates that I haven’t heard before that is interesting but not necessarily born out by fact. Whites had much higher birth rates in our agrarian past. The below replacement levels of fertility seem to be a byproduct of modernity and not limited to the white race as evidenced by the Japanese.

        • Laika

Zero Population Growth was shoved down our throats in the 60s and 70s as was the anti-children feminist movement. Both were targeted at Whites because we were told WE were responsible for all over-population, pollution, food shortages, raping of land, etc. It was and is part of the anti-white pro-genocide message that has been beamed at us for five decades now to reduce our numbers and brainwash us into a NWO with whites at the bottom.

Notice ZPG was never mentioned for high-fertility areas like Africa and Central America where 9 and 10 children are normal, children that sometimes starve to death because of food shortages, pollution, etc. No, instead it was aimed at white people and it worked because the number of white births is below replacement level.

          • Jesse James

Few things annoy me as much as the way the American environmental movement and the Sierra Club in particular agitated for ZPG in the 60s and 70s for America’s majority white population but are now completely silent as a tidal wave of non-white Third World peoples is crashing into the US. The clear and undeniable degradation of our environmental resources perpetrated by these immigrants is nowhere clearer than the US/Mexico borderlands where National Forest land is bulldozed for pot plantations and mountains of garbage is strewn along the smugglers routes into the US.

        • Max

They do not want a larger number of capable, intelligent, industrious people who might threaten their hegemony. The white heterosexual who might breed more of the same is the enemy, not a Bantu in a loincloth.

      • Laika

Just like they push abortion and war to reduce our ranks, starting with Euro-Whites.

    • Frank_DeScushin

Regarding hypocritical Liberals being selectively outraged about the Russian governments gay policy, there was an article about gay Russians in Sochi who said they felt more harassed by the Liberal Western media at the Olympics endlessly asking them how persecuted they are than they did by Russians or the Russian government.

Meanwhile, Nigeria and Uganda both just past anti-homosexuality laws that are infinitely more punitive than any anti-homosexual laws Russia has. The Nigerian and Uganda laws include whipping and even death. Yet selectively outraged white Liberals haven’t raised a scintilla of the stink about these African nations as they have about Russia. Hmmmmm, I wonder why? Could it have anything to do with the color of the inhabitants of these respective nations?

      • John R

You’re right. Haven’t you noticed that ever since Russia granted Snowden sanction-in defiance of Obama-the media have been trashing the Russians?

        • Geo1metric

“…the media have been trashing the Russians?”

The media have been trashing the Russians since Putin refused to be pushed around by the West.

      • Petronius

        Pigmentation trumps everything.

      • Charles W.

Re: the Russia vs. Uganda hypocrisy, it’s just like how Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York makes a big fuss about not marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade because they don’t allow homosexuals to march openly, yet he has no problem whatsoever marching in the huge Jamaican parade in Brooklyn where gays would never dream of marching openly for fear of being physically assaulted or worse.

You’ve really got to admire the genius of it all. They’ve got the anti-white agenda down to an art.

        • Cid Campeador

Blacks are always heralded as being opposed to gay marriage when in reality, the majority eschew all Marriage.
But then there’s the “Down Low”.

      • Funruffian

There’s this idiot liberal chick on Facebook who always posts about Gay rights, Black oppression, etc. She rarely ever receives a single ‘like’ for her posts. Your comment needs to be shoved directly in her direction. I can explain her pathology quite succinctly. She is a short, homely little Hobbit girl who never had a boyfriend. She hadn’t any friends. Now, in all her bitterness, she views the world as it hurt her as a youth. She was an outcast during the 80’s. As payback, she sides with the ‘persecuted’ and ‘oppressed’. Liberalism is a mental disease, but it has deeper psychological roots than most people can fathom. It deals with rejection and anger.

      • Max

They are noble savages. We must always respect the culture of non-whites. We have no authority to impose our values on them. Baby steps, you know. Once we have 10 billion of them we can work on manners.

        • Cid Campeador

They need to be in Africa where they can reunite with their cultures. I’d wager that within a few years they’d be right in with it even so far as Cannibalism.
With some rare exceptions, they have no place here.

      • Pelagian

“Regarding hypocritical Liberals being selectively outraged”.

I tend to agree with you. But the problem with the argument of “inconsistency” is that it can be easily flipped on you. For example:
Q: “How come you never talk about X, only about Y?”
A: “How come you only talk about Y, and never about X?”

      • Cid Campeador

Nigerians also have restaurants that serve human meat.

    • Zaporizhian Sich

Who’s this we? It’s not you and it certainly isn’t me, and it certainly isn’t we because if that was the case there would be no Amren, no pro-white forums, no white nationalism, no outrage or uproar over our situation. No, there is no we behind this, but there is a THEM, and it’s not 12-foot radioactive ants like those in the 50’s “B” Sci-Fi movie by the same name.

      • Extropico

“They Live” is a must-see flick.

        • sbuffalonative

I had actually once read the short story, “Eight O’Clock in the Morning” which I thought was good. A couple years ago, I was searching for the story online and I discovered it had been made into the movie, “They Live”.

          Haven’t seen the movie.

      • JSS

Your right I should have said “them”. Sadly those you and I are referring to are far worse then the giant ants.

      • TheAntidote

I don’t know who “them” are but I hear a lot of talk about squids, vampire squids, the printers, the banksters, TWCBM, the tribe, and the chosen ones. Perhaps they’re talking about the old money, New England Yankees whom the jooz vulgarly, redundantly, and inaccurately call “the WASPs”.

        • Zaporizhian Sich

White Anglo Saxons Protestants do not rule the U.S., and haven’t for over 60 years.

    • Laika

It was also shoved on traditional Russia because they oppose entry into the EU. Notice how the Pussy Riot was blown all out of proportion by the American press. Reason? Because they attacked traditional, Christian Russia.

      • Katherine McChesney

I read that American rocker Patti Smith is an advisor to Pussy Riot. She praises them in concert.

        • Mentious

I guess those talentless “pussy riot” prostitutes have sex in public and push chickens up into their female areas. So the N.Y.Slimes siding with them (or the homely and talentless Patti Smith) — tells you all about the moral compass of those two entities.

  • Extropico

Admittedly, some people are going to behave boorishly with the right to freedom of association.

But we have crossed the Rubicon in terms of Orwellian control of our personal lives. Soon there will be no safe harbor for small business from the quota hiring rules and miscegenation will become mandatory, if the diversitards have their way.

It is time to begin fighting anew for freedom of association.

    • RisingReich

There is no way in hell ANYONE is forcing me to misegeniate.

    • Epiminondas

It was time to fight fifty years ago!

  • Alexandra1973

I’d have no problem selling a donut to a homosexual. Now making a “wedding” cake for a gay couple–that’s a different story.

    • Ella

What will the government do when you say “No! I won’t make your wedding cake for your gay marriage.” Will they have federal marshals with guns to your head and force the store owner to produce a cake. Then you can omit the sugar I guess. How many audits and health inspections will they now encounter?

      • Max

I mused to myself that if someone came in with such a request I’d come up with some excuse like “We have to inspect our fire alarm system and will be closing in just a few minutes. Customer’s safety always come first. Sorry”.

Further, there are myriad ways in which one can refuse service PROVIDED that it is not one of the protected classes, i.e. “We don’t sell to fat people” or “We don’t accommodate people with ill-fitting clothes” or whatever and there is no law which says on a particular day what your store policy may be.

You just can’t say “We don’t do gay stuff” or “We don’t serve blacks” or “We don’t serve Jews” etc.

      • Geo1metric

“They” could very easily put you out of business.

      • Mentious

Seems being forced to make a cake and hating your customer will, as they of course would, would put some bad vibes into that wedding cake! Usually lefties and woo-woo enough and into “new age” ideas like that. Christians forced to make cakes for sodomatrimonialists ought to learn special curses to place on all such cakes, plus advertise the fact. Could work.

    • Cid Campeador

Hey. If they’re paying for it I’d bake it. Their money’s green. I’m a dedicated Capitalist.
Homosexuals have existed since Homo Sapiens evolved (or was Created) and they’re not going anywhere.
Just imagine how much safer this society would be if even 50% of all male Mau Mau were gay.

  • thomas edward

It’s all just separate/special rights, no matter how you cut it.

  • Daniel Schmuhl

It’s really about attacking the traditional patriarchal structure of Western civilization. Very few gays actually get married, even in states where it’s legal.

    • BonV.Vant

the vast majority of those marriages are lesbian too. As far as gay males are concerned, they just don’t get married. The vast majority of gay couplings are one time, anonymous affairs. For those who DO try a relationship, the average lifetime of the relationship is something like a few months. The average lifetime of being monogamous for those who try it is also just a few months, even if the relationship last up to two years. Quentin Crisp had it right, it is a hopeless , futile effort. He spoke from experience. He concluded that he would never find what he wanted, because he wanted a man, and no real man wants another man, only men with feminine minds are attracted to tother men. That was HIS opinion. So he realized he would never be happy, and that many gays are banging their heads against the wall trying to make their “sexuality” work for them. It is the greatest insanity, it is outrageous that our society has lost it’s common sense and decided to coddle this crowd. They will NEVER be happy, just like blacks will NEVER be happy. Both are dysfunctional, and frustrated with their own dysfunction, they blame it on us! How much longer will straight white society be the whipping boy of animals and degenerates? Where did the white males backbones disappear to? How could TELEVISION and the MEDIA have put such a spell on us with their phony rigged scripts?

      • Max

“Where did the white males backbones disappear to?”

Those men are raising their families instead of hell and working to pay for the ill behavior of the rest of the trash of society.

        • Geo1metric

True, but many of us are paying very, very close attention. When we can, we try to do our part for the “cause”.

I think that if/when the balloon goes up, we will all be amazed at how many rally.

  • sbuffalonative

We were sold gay marriage on two fronts; equal treatment and love.

It was never about either. It was about taking control.

Their foot is in the door and the camels nose is under the tent. From now on, it’s a ‘search and destroy’ mission of every traditional institution.

You believe you have the right to object to a transvestite teaching your children in kindergarten? HAHAHAHAHAHA.

    • ViktorNN

      You’re exactly right.

It was never about “marriage equality” – if it was, then gay marriage proponents would have also been arguing for polygamist marriage. Bring up polygamist marriage and a significant number of homosexuals, if not most of them, are opposed to it. So much for “marriage equality.” Like most liberal elitists, their morality is always ad hoc and built on shifting sands of politically correct fashion. Or to put it another way, they’re huge hypocrites, no surprise there.

And you’re right in pointing out that the whole gay marriage thing was just the latest attack on all traditional institutions.

In gayspeak, they want to destroy “heteronormativity,” that is, they want homosexuality (and every other fringe identity based on sexual orientation) to be normalized. This means that this tiny majority (less than 5% of the population) has to have an out of proportion presence in mainstream culture. Every small town parade has got to have a gay float, every cake shop must make gay cakes, every tv show has to have a flamboyant homo on it, every sport has to make a big deal about its gay athletes, and if anyone says otherwise, then they’re branded a homophobe – a title that’s becoming almost as bad as being a racist.

  • MekongDelta69

I said this under the other article, and I’ll say it again here – because it applies:

There are people who are nothing but ‘professional offendees‘ They are the ‘perpetually oppressed, forever discriminated against (in their own minds)’, whining little babies of the left. The will look under every bed; look in every closet; turn over every rug – until they find a ‘racist,’ ‘sexist,’ ‘homophobe,’ ‘bigot’ – ANYBODY on whom they can blame their OWN troubles and failures in life.

Blacks, browns, gays, feminazis, eco-wackos, animal rights lunatics, America haters, Military haters, capitalism haters, traditional values haters – you name it – the left has it. They’ve been whining since 1965.

And they are enabled and encouraged by self-loathing, guilt-ridden, spineless white leftists.

The rest of us don’t care what your problems are. We have our own.
Go cry to your black, muslim marxist dictator and his regime…

    • Jesse James

Exactly, there is no constitutional right to not be offended. Don’t spend time around or frequent the businesses of people that you don’t like or don’t like you. If gays were thinking clearly they would be happy to have some local bakery refuse to make cakes for them, then they could open up a gay specialty bakery and make money the honest way. We have a culture of crybabies and an oppressive government that is only too happy to use discrimination as an excuse to worm their way further and further into our homes, our work places, our leisure time, our families and our minds. I like the old common sense policy of minding your own business. You do your thing and let me do mine.

      • Max

Oh yes, Eric “my peeps” Holder has told the state Attornies General that they should disregard any state law allowing the refusal of service to gays, that such should be viewed with judicial “strict scrutiny” as they are violating a constitutional right otherwise.

Strangely, any local law, rule ordinance, regulation, whatever which restricts or even bans entire classes of weapon possession -an ENUMERATED right should be viewed as liberally as possible with deference to local authorities because local governments have a right and responsibility to decide what is best for their citizens.

The hypocrisy never fazes the left.

      • Katherine McChesney

You know homosexuality is a mental illness when homosexuals bully everyone in order to force them to accept their abhorrent behavior as natural and normal. That and a bad drug deal is what led to Matthew Shepherds death.

    • Epiminondas

“There are people who are nothing but ‘professional offendees’…”

      Jooze and kneegrohz?

  • I said it in the other AR thread about this general subject matter of today, and I’ll say it again here:

There is nothing more un-libertarian than a libertarian who has attained power.

    • Max

      Uh, what libertarian?

  • Pat is a national treasure, one of the few pundits to exhibit common sense. But any law permitting discrimination is going to be overturned by the courts.

The Constitution is a failed experiment in freedom. We need a new country and quick. While commenter JSS is right that the former USA is a decadent collapsing empire, empires can take centuries to collapse.

I don’t have centuries. I want a new country NOW. That’s why I do my part by engaging in small acts of sabotage to the System every day. All of us here are saboteurs, merely by making war via our keyboards. That’s why the System wants to shut down the Internet.

    • antiquesunlight

I hear you. The country could still be saved if everything were done right, but more and more I’m thinking secession is our best option.

  • Lt_Greyman_NVA

I would never serve negros, ever. Not after the attacks of the last few years. Too much of them dancing in the blood of White decline.

    • BonV.Vant

negro behavior has become so unacceptable that I think white only establishments would quickly spring up if the laws were repealed, and everyone who is white would welcome it. It is almost this situation today. Where I live there are two strip malls less than five miles apart. Many of the stores are the same. One caters to the inner city crowd, the other caters to the suburban whites. My guess is that the stores have decided to run one group at a loss and subsidize them with the profits of the other group.

      • paul marchand

Playing classical and 1960s white rock and roll and country music would do the trick.

        • Katherine McChesney

Opera would have them running for cover.

      • Kenner

Gays would only break into a store at night to re-decorate the window display.

        • Max

I don’t think they’d stop there. They might also try to take advantage of a mannequin and post pix.

          • BonV.Vant

there’d be a lot of traffic in the men’s room

      • MikeofAges

Where I live there is much the same situation. But the diverse shopping zone is much closer so that is where I go. What I am not sure of is whether retail chains always make more money in the suburbs and outlying areas than in the city. City store often are more crowded both inside and outside, have longer lines, and less customer service. That can add to more profits from of the unit. So the possibility exists that city stores and city customers, who more habituated to crowding and waiting, in fact subsidize less busy stores in predominantly white areas.

What chain you are shopping at could make a difference to. One poster on this forum once called the Fred Meyer chain in the Pacific Northwest “white friendly”. That it is, but I think it is also in its retroness just plain adult friendly. That makes it a better place to shop even when the clientele is diverse.

It seems to me, the retail chains have mastered the art of locating their urban outlets on the boundaries between different zones, so that they can attract a diverse clientele without making anybody travel beyond the borders of someone else’s zone.

When a shopping center ends up stuck behind the lines, it seems inevitably to fail eventually due to a combination of security problems, theft, the unwillingness of outsiders to put their personal safety at risk and, maybe, just plain declining business. Locating retails outlets is a big issue. Even a mall in a nearly all white area can decline due to an aging population and the movement of the more affluent young adults to the greener pastures of exurbia.

        • BonV.Vant

The profit margin is profoundly impacted by the amount of shoplifting. Hudson’s department store in Detroit was destroyed because it kept it’s flagship store open in the city center of Detroit even after the “demographics” changed. From wiki :

“Though customers flocked to the suburban locations, the downtown store still accounted for half of Hudson’s business in 1961 but demographic changes continued to erode sales.[4] Store officials expressed an interest in closing the store as early as 1971 citing $9,000,000 in pilferage but remained citing the potential backlash from city officials and customers……”

          • MikeofAges

Very aware of that, though I imagine the shrinkage (theft) rate differs from place to place. One thing I do believe is that grocery chains do not do anything about shoplifting most of the time. In decades of shopping at different stores in different locations ranging from inner city to rural, I have never seen a customer being taken into custody. A store which constantly had screaming people in handcuffs would lose a lot of its normal paying business. The only solution for most retailers is to just not be in areas where there is going to be a high shrinkage rate.

Retailer who maintain an “adult friendly” atmosphere might do better. The Fred Meyer chain is able to have lower prices I think because they have less shrinkage. In eight years shopping at this chain I have never seen fouled up or vandalized restrooms, or heard people have loud personal conversations or arguments in the aisles. This is a side effect of having what I call a “self-selected” customer group. Winco is another chain with a self-selected customer base and generally lower prices.

The ultimate in a self-selected customer base was at a membership store on the West Coast, called Gemco.

Gemco had exactly the same inventory as its parent Lucky supermarket chain, but the prices were significantly lower, ten percent or more on every item. The reason had to be less shrinkage. You had to show your membership card, price one dollar, to get in the door. The shoplifters just never came there.

          • BonV.Vant

I did see a shoplifter detained at a supermarket once, it was a star market on harvard st in brookline ma.

          • MikeofAges

I’ve seen a few police responses at chain stores. But not many, consider my shopping life goes back to the 1950s. Independent chains may be more willing to have police come to the store. It’s called market positioning.

          • Katherine McChesney

“One thing I do believe is that grocery chains do not do anything about shoplifting most of the time.”

In 2012 Kroger shut down it’s Dickerson Road store in Nashville because of the loss of over $1m of merchandise. Theft and the fact that their black employees weren’t scanning the expensive items. They transferred all their products to the Gallatin Road store which brought more blacks into the neighborhood.

          • Brian

I read a while back that the average chain grocery store has a 2% net profit margin…so any shrinkage from theft or negligence (meat left out of a freezer, etc) kills their bottom line.

  • Spartacus

When America was 90% White, it put a man on the moon . Now it’s 63%, and all it does is argue over retarded crap while feeding of the wealth built by Whites before them…. Pathetic.

    • Talltrees

      They are nothing but vultures.

  • Truth Teller

The gays must go in carrying on about how the flowers are for a gay wedding. I buy flowers and no florist has ever asked me about sexual matters. This is so useless in the context of the White struggle. The gay establishment is against us that is true. But the Ford Foundation, ADL, AJC and local, state and federal government agencies give the gay organizations billions of dollars a year to push their pro gay anti White anti Christian agenda.
They are the ones behind the gay agenda.
The gay agenda is also a red herring. The gay nonsense gives disaffected Whites something to focus their dissent on when Whites should be focusing their dissent on diversity hiring, black on White crime and non White immigration. Getting all riled up over the gay issue just distracts Whites from what we should be doing to prevent the genocide.

    • Kenner

I’m betting those businesses were targeted by gay ‘activists’ because they may have had a Christian symbol on their homepage or in their window…There is nothing co-incidental about this.

  • Cid Campeador

Gays have been going about their business for years. I for one have no problem with gays who live their lives without public displays. I don’t give a damn if they want to marry but don’t put a non pedophile priest, minster or rabbi on the spot. I won’t mention Imams because they’re liable to behead them on the spot. ( Never any outrage over some of the hideous practices of Islam).
Too much time is spent on this Tempest in a Teapot.
As for service. If I were a store owner/restaurant for example, I would throw two Heteros out if they were “making out” at a table; the same for gay couples. I’m a faithful follower of the “GET A ROOM!!” philosophy.

    • sbuffalonative

If the whole gay rights issue was about gays living their lives without being bothered that would be one thing. But it’s not about that. It’s about them asserting themselves and making us ‘love them’ under penalty of law.

They’re going to use gay marriage to push their agenda. They will become another grievance-driven minority who are given special rights which will supersede the rights of heterosexuals to make choices and to be left alone.

      • Ella

We will also be forced to offer additional benefits to gay “married” couples who did not have any children and these good heterosexual families who made life sacrifices for their children will pay for gays even more so. It is about money and less taxes for many gays. (I’m aware some gays do have children but they have similar tax deductions like heteros.)

      • Brian

And long after any real semblance of discrimination or ‘hatred’ has passed, all the laws will still be on the books, and agencies, and lawsuit potential– a never-ending rent-seeking gravy train.

    • Katherine McChesney

There ARE Muslims who engage in sexual liasons with small boys. It is an acceptable practice however, they don’t consider it to be pedophilia.

  • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

If you know Arizona then you know there are small isolated towns. What if the only gas station owner is an atheist who doesn’t want to sell to Christians or Jews on religious grounds? How will that be dealt with? This proposed law is a disgrace and a joke.
This law is not about religious freedom, it is about intolerance and bigotry and if you are so obsessed with the sexual practices of other consenting adults that you can’t bring yourself to do business with them then you need some serious psycho therapy and should not be running a business in the first place.
Any person who thinks they should be exempt from anti-discrimination commerce laws is a self absorbed jerk.

    • BonV.Vant

we are not talking about a gas station, we are talking about a photographer, a florist, a cake maker. No one discloses their sexual preference when buying gas, and if they do almost no gas station would care enough to refuse the transaction that takes mere minutes. Making a cake with a same sex wedding theme takes more than mere minutes, and it is not a blind transaction, it is a decidedly in one’s face identity transaction. same for the photographer , same with the florist. There is no such thing as a “gay tank of gas”, there is such a thing as a “gay wedding”

    • This is about Reich-wing legislative c0ck-block.

      I am deeply offended.

You and I are being denied access to PEN1S and it’s shameful!
We can protest together. Imagine us – walking hand-in-hand – wearing backless evening gowns and open-toed chiffon slippers!

      Oh the inclusion!

    • BonV.Vant

first time I have ever seen your screen name here. I guess the legions were directed here huh?

    • Reverend Bacon

Ever see a sign that says, “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone?” Every transaction in a retail store is a mini-business deal. Both sides get to decide if they want to do the deal, or not. I don’t really have a problem with it. Why should the State?

And BTW, I completely support gays’ rights to do whatever they want- marry, take drugs, commit suicide, drink sugary sodas in greater than 20 ounce quantities, etc. And I wouldn’t refuse someone service because he’s gay, but I don’t think you have to force that on someone else.

If the only gas station owner is that shortsighted, he’ll be broke soon enough. Another gas station owner will come along who won’t care, and he’ll take all the business. That’s the invisible hand slapping him down.

      • Max

Don’t mention ” the invisible hand” here. It smacks of libertarianism and you’ll be tarred with the pro-immigration brush.

        • Reverend Bacon

I’m something of a libertarian, but I’m the farthest thing from pro-immigration. We have a hemorrhage in Washington, and the last thing we need to do is import leeches. That baffles me that other so-called libertarians don’t get that.

By the way, if we just turned off all the bleeding, and told the blacks and Mexicans that it was over, no more gibs, that would stop most of the leeches coming across to suck our blood. And kill the so-called birthright citizenship, especially for anyone who wades across and calves to obtain it for their spawn.

If we stopped all the free stuff, maybe we could offer free trips back to their motherland. One way, one time, death if they return.

And if we let people be free to associate with whom they choose, and drop all the artificial BS like AA, bilingual education, and Race to the Top, the Invisible Hand would do a great job of purging us of our twin scourges. People go where they feel welcome, and leave where they don’t. What is it that keeps them here that’s real? Of course, enforcing the immigration laws would help us develop better technology substitutes for labor, such as robots. Too bad most Republicans don’t see that, and just want cheap labor today.

          Is that pro-immigration enough? 🙂

    • There is nothing in the Constitution that says we don’t have the right to be self-absorbed jerks.

Our freedom trumps your feelings, each and ever time. Cry about it elsewhere.

    • MikeofAges

You can deal with the issue through the enforcement of anti trust-law. That means that a monopoly entity can be subject to different rules than an entity with a smaller market share. Before you have cow, let me explain what the application of this legal theory actually. First of all, you have public accomodations. In this context, that means retail establishments. They already cannot discriminate in the sale to the public of already displayed, inventoried or offered merchandise. That means gasoline. That means cakes cookies, pies and cupcakes.

Then there are specially contracted services. For example, the catering of a wedding reception or wedding photography. A tradesman or artisan is simply on their own as to whether they want to take a job or not beyond their their own retail operations. What that means is that they could not refuse to sell a cake or photo supplies to a gay person or couple of walked into the store. But they could refuse to provide special contracted services outside of their retail operation.

The issue here is where to draw the line. My answer to that question has to do with market share. A “mom-and-pop” bakery with one store might be able to refuse to do a catering job. An independent or national chain with a larger market share in the community might, because of their larger market share, fall under antitrust law and therefore not be able to refuse a job.

My point of view, of course, is reasonable. Probably, you will dispute it because you are unreasonable and, if I am not abusing the metaphor, trying to force an ideology down someone else’s throat. Nothing new about this though. Before the Fall of Communism in the late 1980s, not that it really fell, East Germany served as the Soviet Bloc’s laboratory of advanced socialism. They had begun there to experiment with allowing opposition. But, of course, the party would decide what kind of opposition would be allowed, the unavailing kind of course. That’s what I think you want. To reduce other people to meaningless forms of opposition. You are not powerless. The next time you need a cake, go pick on someone your own size. If someone who meets my criteria won’t sell you a cake, I’ve got your back. But leave Ed and Ruthie’s hole-in-the-wall bakery alone.

  • John R

People forget what REALLY caused the discrimination against blacks in the South before the 1960’s. It wasn’t private citizens discriminating; it was state “Jim Crow” laws MANADATING such discrimination. What the Federal Government should have done is just strike down THOSE laws, and allow private companies and citizens to exercise their own individual right of free association.

  • AutomaticSlim

    One of Pat’s best columns.
    100% true.
These “civil rights” laws were unconstitutional from the beginning.
A total and complete violation of individual liberty and freedom of association.
was it written in the constitution that the government had the right to
tell people to home they must rent to, hire, sell their house to, pick
    up in a taxi, etc..
Not only do these laws grossly infringe upon
individual freedom, they also force honest, law abiding people to risk
great harm to themselves and their families. Race is probably the single
most accurate factor in predicting violent criminality, yet the
government attempts to deprive decent people from protecting themselves
from individuals they feel are potentially dangerous. Even the
black/hispanic president of the NY taxi federation, Fernando Mateo, told
drivers to profile black and hispanic fares. But the governement will
penalize them for practicing self preservation. Sickening, truly

The liberal idea of what America should be is how many pills you can pop, how many (non-white) sex partners you can have, and how big a victim you can be. How did homosexuals come to hold the sway they do? Why do we treat them with respect?

These are imbeciles who believe it is okay to slide up each other’s rears, and they call the true, normal way of life the “hetero lifestyle” to bring their demented lifestyle to our standard of living. All of these stories you read about priests molesting children are homosexuals who’ve infiltrated the churches, much like all other institutions. They adopt children to pervert them; how does a small child know he or she is gay? They’re brainwashed into believing it. Some homosexuals have also been trying to legalize man-boy relationships; this group is known as NAMBLA. Look it up.

Homosexuals are pure evil disguised as “love”, or a perversion of it we’re supposed to accept as being just as normal as a relationship between a man and woman. They need to be stopped.

    • Romulus

The brainwashed zombies believe that human desires and laws somehow trumps 3.5 billion years of evolutionary biology. NATURE WILL NOT BE TRUMPED!
This happened before to the Roman catholic church. The church “corrected ” the problem during a campaign called “LA Purga” circa the late 1600’s.

Considering the number of closeted homosexuals in government, their power should not be a surprise.

Anyone who desires tradition in America is wrong to the media and government folks. Most gays don’t have children but begin to make economic demands on heterosexuals who do the grind of raising families to pay for them at older age. They should have more money by NOT raising a family to fend for oneself. No one wants to discriminates against gays but just want to preserve marrital union without being a “joke.”

This is a big tempest in a teapot. If you’re homo, you’ve probably come to realize that not everyone like homos.

So if you want to marry dear darling Dave, and the caterer says that she won’t do the cake for you because she says that men shouldn’t marry other men, well, The-Correct-Response is to politely ask if she can recommend anyone who is as good as she is at cakes and whom might consider making a cake for this occasion.

All homos know, at least all homo men know, that gracious and polite manners is more important in the long run than religious dogma and politics.

  • humura

Where does it end? In Milwaukee, some Muslim cabbies will not take a fare from a gay bar. Rush Limbaugh today noted that in Minneapolis, some Muslim cabbies won’t take a fare with a dog (Muhammad denounced dogs). So what if you are blind? What if the cabbie refuses a fare because the woman is dressed indecently – she has no veil, or no burqa? What if you get into the taxi with groceries, and he spots bacon in your bag? Out!
If one does business with the general public, there should be laws to prevent your religious views from discriminating. Already liberal judges have permitted Muslims to work at supermarkets and NOT perform major duties like checking out someone who purchases bacon.
I disagree with Buchanan on this. I was arrested in a sit-in at Woolworth’s in 1960. And I still think I did the right thing.

    • IstvanIN

In some way I see your point, but the bigger problem is artificial diversity, which is what Muslims and blacks bring. In a White society such as in a European country, you would have a certain amount of narurally occuring diversity such as Catholics, assorted Protestants, atheists, small numbers of non-native European ethnicities, a small number of gays, differing political views, different intellectual and physical abilities, and even hair and eye color, those differences are naturally occurring and can be accommodated in a civilized society. Even in White America, after a nice time out, we were able to almost digest the southern and eastern European immigrants from the pre-WW1 period. But adding completely alien peoples and cultures makes things way too complicated. The Chinese exclusion act was the RIGHT thing to do. The immigration act of 1924 was the right thing to do. Banning the importation of additional slaves was the right thing to do. But now we have far too many ingredients that simply are like oil and water, and will never successfully mix. One will end up dominating and destroying the other.

    • You do not have the right to the fruits of someone else’s labor, just as they don’t have the right to prevent you from taking your business elsewhere. You don’t have to like it but that’s what freedom of association means.

Why would you brag about participating in a sit-in in the 1960’s? How shameful. People like you destroyed this country and now you have the nerve to rub our noses in it here? A pox on you and your co-conspirators.

    • WR_the_realist

Supermarkets should be allowed to fire Muslim workers who refuse to check out someone’s bacon purchase. If Muslims don’t want to pick up people with dogs then people with dogs should be allowed to refuse to do business with Muslims.

This is all about lawsuits for damages. The gays roam around looking for wedding providers who won’t serve them and then file a lawsuit. One result of all this over education and affirmative action is that there is nowhere for the average White grad to go but law school.
Another scam is discrimination against pretend service dogs. Anyone can claim their badly behaved mutt is a service dog, demand entrance to a restaurant in violation of health laws and then sue for discrimination. There are attorney’s ads all over looking for fake service dog discrimination. I’m sure this year’s crop of unemployed law school grads is ready to make this the latest money maker. Pretty soon insurance companies will insert a clause that they will not pay for defense of discrimination against gays lawsuits.
Gays are the least of our problems. The big problems are discrimination against Whites, black on White crime, and non White immigration. Gay rights is a Jewish cause. Wonder what the laws are in Israel about gays demanding that a Hasidic banquet hall have gay weddings?

  • Truth Teller

For at least 10 years the liberal Jews of Los Angeles pride themselves on hiring lesbian Rabbis to officiate at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings and to give the blessings at those ADL Israel AJC and other Jewish fundraisers. Believe it or not, there is even a gay mohel to officiate at brises. The kids don’t write the speeches they make at the Bar/BAt Migtzvahs.
There is a standard speech given to the kids that turns around the biblical injunction against gays to total acceptance of gays.
Some friends of mine have been to these events. They gush and boast about the lesbian Rabbis for months afterwards.

What’s wrong with it? They can have their own private parties as they wish. You don’t want to socialise with the Jews anyways, so why does it matter if they invite gay people to their Bar Mitzvahs? At least they are being consistent. With respect to the gays, the Reform Jews are practicing what they preach. They say pro-gay stuff, and then they include gays at their weddings and other parties.

Again I am proud to have voted for Pat Buchanan the last time he ran in the primaries. When I was a young man I though he was wrong about many things. Now I know that he was right and I was wrong.

    • Indeed. My father is a rabid neocon and steadfastly refuses to notice racial issues. Pat is like the father figure I should have had–pro-White, pro-America, pro-Constitution. I wish I’d listened to him sooner.

      • Brian

Another thing I like about Buchanan is that he’s erudite and reasonable, much like Jared Taylor. Even those who don’t agree with him have often said that he doesn’t scream talking points past them– he listens and engages. And that’s what got me to listen to him originally, even back in the days when I disagreed with a good number of his positions. He won me over.

  • Garrett Brown

    Pat Buchanan is a hero.

  • Freedom of speech is legal.

So, a swastika sign is legal as long as it’s not used for vandalism. So, if I go to a Jewish baker and order a cake with a swastika and ‘heil Hitler’, should he be forced bake the cake? Would his refusal to do so a violation of my free speech rights?

Holocaust denial is protected under American law. So, can I go to a Jewish publisher and demand that he publish a holocaust denial book? If he doesn’t, should he be sued for violating free speech rights?

Th issue here is not about refusing to serve homos. The issue is the refusal to serve immoral requests made by homos. If a bakery said ‘no homos allowed’, that would be wrong. But surely a bakery has a right not to bend over to immoral requests made by homos.

It’s like a film studio has the right to reject certain offers and proposals.
Surely a Palestinian baker should have the right to refuse to bake a pro-Zionist cake.
And a homo baker has a right to refuse to bake a ‘God hates fags’ cake even though American laws protects one’s right to believe that God indeed hates homos.

    • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

The answer to your questions is yes, we all need to tolerate others who hold differing beliefs then our own. Baking a cake with a swastika does not harm the baker in any way and the fact he disagrees with the message the swastika offers is not grounds to justify refusing to sell to someone. It’s the principle that makes our nation great.

  • roger smith

Buchanan hit the nail on the head here. The root of the problem is that when you give the government carte blanche to decide who private business may not discriminate against, you don’t have a leg to stand on when the government decides you must deal with a certain class of person. It so happens that the federal government has not yet made gays a statutorily protected class–but it’s coming. And this Arizona law will be struck down by the courts if it makes it that far.

The problem here is that most of those who support this law would concede (at least publicly) that civil rights laws are a valid exercise of government power when it comes to protecting blacks. Because, after all, whites and blacks are exactly the same. But sexual-orientation is different, because the Bible specifically prohibits homosexuality, and the First Amendment protects freedom of religion. Unfortunately, this will not work. It is stillborn. Once you have conceded that there is really no such thing as a “private sector,” that someone else’s freedom to your services outweighs your preferences regarding with whom who deal; you forfeit your decision-making regarding which parties you will serve. You have turned your liberty over to a judge. And the First Amendment will protect you as well as a paper umbrella in a hurricane. The courts have made that clear.

You don’t want to defend another business owner’s absolute right to serve whomever they choose, including for a reasons you may not agree with? Then enjoy snapping wedding photos of two gay men tongue kissing, or forfeit your life savings. It’s what you deserve.

Not that I agree with forced associations for any reason, another difference is that colored people are born that way; perverts who indulge in deviant sexual behavior are not.

I agree with your initial point. Anti-discrimination laws require use of force. One does not need force to refuse to associate with someone; that is not a violation of anyone’s freedom. Forcing a person to associate with specific “others” is oppression.

  • Who Me?

Why would anyone want to force someone to bake them a wedding cake when they didn’t want to? I would be afraid they would sabotage it in some way. Put exlax in the chocolate frosting, or substitute salt for the sugar in the main part of the cake, or something. I’m wondering how the baker even knew this cake was for a gay wedding, unless both partners were there together and indulging in PDA’s.
I went with my daughter to order her wedding cake, not her fiancee. We had to order the cake topper there, and when looking through the book picturing the available toppers, we came across several with two “brides” and some with two “grooms”. Is it possible this baker didn’t have any of these type for sale and that’s how the refusal came about?
If somebody doesn’t want your money for providing a service, go somewhere else and give someone else your money. There’s is certainly no shortage of bakers in Colorado where this lawsuit occurred. (And no shortage of liberals willing to jump at the chance to do so!) If all else fails, have a friend make your cake.

    • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

If they don’t want to bake a wedding cake then they should not be in the business of baking wedding cakes.

  • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

Commerce laws exist for very good reason and AZ is proving it.

  • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

Who is forcing Christians to run businesses that deal with the general public? If doing so violates their superstitious beliefs then they should find other work that does not conflict with their beliefs. The last thing we need is the supermarket refusing to sell meat on Friday during Lent because if this AZ law passed it would be anything goes so long as the merchant claimed it violated their religion. These people who want to control others are acting like the Taliban.
Christian fundamentalists do not cherish religious freedom, personal liberty or individual
rights, they represent the exact opposite of the values our great country stands for.

    • Andy

Why on earth should Christians not be allowed to run businesses without violating their religious beliefs? If someone wants to have a gay wedding cake made, or buy meat on a Friday, they are not going to have any trouble finding an alternative business. I am not a Muslim, but I certainly don’t think every Muslim who wants to own a grocery store should be forced to sell pork.

      • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

For the same reason an atheist like Bill Gates should not be allowed to refuse to sell computers to theists.

    • BonV.Vant

you are a troll posting nonsense

    • Ograf

A privately owned business should be allowed to sell what he wants, when he wants and to whom he wants to sell it. The govt. need not stick their nose in.
I too, believe you to be a troll.

      • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

        Tell Woolworths that.

        • BonV.Vant

you are a troll and I will flag all of your comments

Is a troll to you a person who uses common sense instead of clinging to irrational hereditary prejudices? It must be.

      • Chasmania

Progressives require lock step, lemming like behavior from everyone who disagrees with them. Anyone not submitting to the will of the movement will be crushed. Personal liberty is the Freedom to do as the State says you can do.

Well said Chasmania, and as always We will practice speaking the truth, which is sometimes a dangerous thing to do nowdays.

We need to get out of Libertarian fantasy worlds. The world has always been dominated by groups, tribes.

Black Africans, Muslims, most homosexuals , a certain ethno-religious group we’re not supposed to talk about, these groups work for the power of their group at our expense.

105% of Black Americans voted for Barack Obama because he’s (sort of) Black like them and will use terrible men like Eric Holder to stick it to White people.

You and I will not be “free to choose” under BRA, Black Ruled America any more than successful White farmers in Zimbabwe were free to be productive businessmen, employers etc.

We need to start thinking and acting as “we” instead of me. The cursed political, media and academic elite will only allow Libertarians like Rand Paul if they are promoting Libertarianism designed to help non Whites, increase non White power. Sure, Rand Paul can get on the MSM and preach that the Black underclass in Detroit and Chicago must be given “vouchers” to attend White private schools which they will destroy as they did our public schools. Rand Paul and Reason Magazine will be given media access to argue that agribusinesses in Georgia and Florida should be free to choose willing agricultural workers from anywhere in the world and let market forces determine wages… Translation, Central American Amerindians will agree to work for a couple of years picking fruit for sub minimum wage, then they and their children will drop out, form ethnic ghettos, join brutal drug gangs, support LaRaza.

    “on religious grounds”

So, does this mean that you have to assert religious beliefs of an officially sanctioned, recognized, religion; like with taxes and non-profits? How is this not a violation of the First Amendment? One should be able to refuse service based on personal beliefs, without needing any bureaucratic involvement. This is garbage, just like other special dispensation for “recognized” entities. All it amounts to is discrimination against those who do not have the privilege of recognition. Who gets to pick and choose whose claim is valid and whose isn’t? ALL forced associations violate an individual’s right to freedom of association. If I can’t decide against associating with someone, for any reason whatsoever, then I am not free.

That’s amazing. Thanks for the post.

all of the very good posts were when it first came out in 2011. The posts now don’t go back much farther than a year.

A New York state assemblyman has introduced a bill requiring parents of public school children to take parenting classes. Among the topics covered will be sexual orientation.
So as well as the children being brainwashed about homosexuality and transgender the parents will be brainwashed as well.
    It never ends.

  • LACountyRedneck

Daily multiple threads with all these anti-White diseases. Liberalism, homos, blacks, illegals, J’s, corrupt government, repeat. What is the cure? Is there a doctor in the house?

  • Truth Teller

I’ve noticed that whenever a grievance group achieves a goal they immediately take up another cause. Soon the Supreme Court will legalize gay marriage nation wide. What bizarre new cause will the gays take up then? They will never give up the millions in government and Ford Foundation grants and their $100,000 per year executive director in charge of offense detection jobs.

  • Truth Teller

Anonymous Read my post. It’s not gay guests. It is gay mohels and aggressively lesbian Rabbis officiating at religious ceremonies. And making a child memorize a pro gay speech at age 13 is nothing more than forced propaganda.

  • Nils-Olof Hedlund

Hi! I am visitor from the northern part of Europé.
I came to think about the debate in your country about healthcare.
In my country we have a puplic healthcaresystem.
But! You should watch out for some politicians of your´s, i mean it!
In my country these days ILLEGAL immigrants have the RIGHT to healthcare, and dentalcare (dentalcare is not for free even in my country, it´s very expensive) to a minimum cost.
So you shouldn´t let them do what ever they please in every issue, think about it.

    • Malgus

      Hi Nils..

You’re a little off topic with the healthcare thing, being as this thread is dealing with “civil rights”, but not too far off…

Government should not be involved in healthcare. AT ALL. Health care is not a “right”, same as there is no “right” to an education. At least a free one anyway.

Here in the US, our government’s authority over certain things is spelled out very specifically, and health care isn’t anywhere on the list. The problem is that our Federal Government has been usurping power for decades, at the expense of both the people and the individual states and commonwealths, and those in power are loathe to give up that power, usurped or not.

Those in government are aided and abetted by the court system, specifically our Supreme Court – whichever side (like there’s a big difference) can pack the court with a majority of their cronies will get their way. If they cannot get their way because they cannot pack the court, then there is open speculation that those in power are using the NSA (and others) to find enough dirt on key judges so they can be secretly leveraged (as is what I think happened with Obamacare).

As far as illegals and infiltrators are concerned, our government has precious few jobs spelled out for them that they MUST do – and protecting our borders is one of those precious few jobs. They are not only NOT doing their job, they are going out of their way to aid and assist foreigners in crossing into our country illegally – the reasoning is, whichever side can give them the most free stuff (“free” meaning “paid for by Joe Whitey The Taxpayer”), when the illegals get amnesty then the former illegals will be a massive voting block for whomever bought them off… to me, this is overt treason.

And it’s all at the expense of whites.

I hesitate to say it, but this is driving us closer and closer towards open conflict every day… Kiev to the 100th power…

      • Nils-Olof Hedlund

Yes, it was a bit “off topic”, true.
But i just wanted to give an example on what you euroamericans might face if some of your politicians start behave like swedes.
It was scary things you told me about, who knows what will happend to your country if this will be allowed to keep going on.
        Time to act.

        • Malgus

“who knows what will happen to your country if this will be allowed to keep going on…”

Unfortunately, we do know. Well, we have a pretty good idea.

The government will, using some disaster as an excuse (either false flag or natural), they will declare Martial Law and start rounding up people who have been critical of the government. We already have turn-key tyranny.

Look up the movie Grey State. It hasn’t been released, but the trailer will give you an idea of our future…

  • Jon

If that happened then maybe America would have a chance to restore itself one step at a time but the masses are way to brainwashed to care and most people want distraction rather than deal with the real problems. I agree with Pat on this one because we are under the Tyranny of PC and until it is stopped nothing will change.

Still waiting for one gay person 2 say, “Y know it might not be the worst human rights abuse since the holocaust to allow Xians 2 decline 2B our wedding planners”.

Muslim donut shop owners should be required by law to serve bacon on the breakfast sandwiches.

    • Malgus

      Bacon is meat candy…

  • mason boyd

If you prefer the government to stay out of this particular decision making process, then why write a law (written by the government?) I am referring to the Arizona law regarding religious freedom. Why not just let nature take it’s course?

    • Pelagian

It’s to countervail that other kind of law, judge-made law, and in that kind of law Gays are a Protected Class and Christians are not.

  • Chasmania

Oh, we get it. My hope for the US stands on the fact that successful revolutions are started and won by a numerically smallish group who have better ideals, faith and guts than the opposition. Most of the population in such conflicts are bystanders by and large.

Typical. I suppose the Mau Mau would have preferred his type of ” Flash Mob” that would have left a pile of bodies and destroyed property behind.
