Oliver Stone Drops Out of Martin Luther King Jr. Project, Takes to Twitter to Explain

Samantha Highfill, Entertainment Weekly, January 17, 2014

With Martin Luther King Jr. Day right around the corner, Oliver Stone announced Friday that he is no longer on board to write and direct a biopic about the Civil Rights leader. Stone took to Twitter to explain that his rewrite of the script, which dealt with “issues of adultery, conflicts within the movement, and King’s spiritual transformation” was not well received by producers. It’s unclear how or if Stone’s leaving will affect Jamie Foxx, who was attached to star in the DreamWorks and Warner Bros production.

Well, Mr. Stone, you know who controls Hollywood and who controls the propaganda narrative. You are not free to produce anything that deviates from the agenda.

Give Mel Gibson a call and maybe the two of you can get something going.

    • newscomments70

That’s a great idea…how about an eye-opening documentary of black on white crime, worldwide? It would be a kind of reverse “django”…only they would use facts instead of fiction.

    • blight14

Who in the world would give you a down rep, your comment is 100% correct…..????

      • Luca

A certain kosher loving troll with the disposition of a 3-yr old who likes to cut and paste obscure minutiae from liberal sources. But he’s a race realist.

        • blight14

Hmmmmmm, I may know who you’re talking about……how about this, I just gave you 1000 ‘virtual’ thumbs up!!!!

    • Alexandra1973

Gibson would be the last person….

    • tetrapod

But Mr. Stone, please be careful. Seems like we haven’t seen much of ol’ Mel since he pissed off the wrong people. Don’t let the same thing happen to you.

      • newscomments70

I wonder if Mel Gibson would venture to support Amren. He doesn’t really have anything to lose these days.

    • Godsofthecopybookheadings

Luca, Stone’s father was a tribesman. His mother is French.

  • IstvanIN

So they shot him down because he wanted a somewhat honest appraisal? Sounds like Soviet Amerika today.

    • newscomments70

Some of the Soviet movies weren’t bad…at least they weren’t anti-white propaganda. Hollywood movies are actually more anti-American than old Soviet films. Soviet films vary, but you will NEVER see a beautiful white Russian woman fornicating with a black man.

      • IstvanIN

There wasn’t exactly historical accuracy or artistic freedom in the USSR.

        • newscomments70

Very true, but some of their classics from the 60s were pretty good, such as “The Diamond Arm” and “Operation Y”. They were non-political comedies, (minus the anti-white propaganda we see in Hollywood.) I’m not pro-Soviet by the way. I just liked a couple of their films.

          • IstvanIN

            Fair enough.

      • Fathercoughlin

Ironically if the King movie was accurate, you’d see a lot of white women fornicating with black males.

        • newscomments70

that is the one time the liberals don’t want to show that to us .

    • blight14

HollyVitz is ‘occupied’ territory, hence the similarity to Communist Russia…..

    • NeanderthalDNA

I wonder if ol’ Oliver may have stopped by Amren once or twice.

  • Pelagian

what spiritual transformation is he talking about, anybody know?

    • Pro_Whitey

Probably throwing aside any pretense of Christianity in favor of atheist leftism. I’m most surprised Stone wrote “Thank God”.

      • Pelagian

Non-Eskimos were willing to tolerate his being a Christian minister in 1960, as long as it suited their revolutionary purposes. But they don’t need to do that in 2014. (They were able to ban all clergy or praying from the official 10th anniversary of 9/11 observance). Better to have their icon “evolved past Christ”.

    • Anon

He means to liberation theology. The idea that God wants all white people to be killed.

  • MekongDelta69

Oliver Stone (a leftist piece of feces), decided to throw a grain of truth in his groveling PC world — and gets shot down.

I love to see the left eat its own…

  • Spartacus

“Martin, I grieve for you. You are still a great inspiration for your fellow Americans—but, thank God, not a saint.”

    ——————————————————————————————————————–

He’s not even the feces of a saint…

    • Fathercoughlin

Stone seeks to elevate King among white people with this horse-crap,”he’s not a saint.” I think this dirtbag Stone would do more damage, had he been alowed to make his movie, than the most formalized PC KIng Family, civil rights ass-kissing director they can find. The Saint King will be a bore and few will see it. The Stone pic mightve had some life and some thought, however YKW false, in it.So good riddance Stone. I say Michael Bey should do the pic!

  • NoMosqueHere

MLK enjoys secular sainthood in the US. Objectors will face danger, including the loss of their job or physical violence. Attacking MLK (by speaking the truth about him, of course) is an essential step in taking back America; but it will require the efforts of truly courageous men and women.

  • Druid

He should’ve also mentioned king’s beating the tar out of prostitutes.

    • Fathercoughlin

Are any of these women still.living? Would be interesting to hear their stories…

  • So CAL Snowman

I’m wondering why Oliver Stone thought he could make a film about the real Michael Scott King. He knows who runs the industry, what was he thinking?

  • dd121

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Stone was going to make an accurate film of the life of MK. He’s a liberal and I guess his script didn’t lie enough for his even more liberal backers. His movies are NOT a factual representation of history. They are filled with as much make-believe as necessary to make his point.

    • Pelagian

Hes a non-Eskimo, but at least an independent, maverick one. Like a Chomsky.

      • blight14

LOL, ‘eskimo’, I’ve never seen that one…….perhaps in a feeble attempt to keep from ruffling feathers, you could add the TM symbol……as in ‘Eskimo™’……

    • Luca

His film “JFK” was a complete work of fiction woven into old newsreel clips for effect. It’s a perfect example of “Fooling some of the people some of the time.” It is also an attempt at revisionist history which Hollywood is famous for.

    • Fathercoughlin

As I said above, you can have a white movie or a black movie. The former will be about change, doubt, mistakes redemption etc. It will paint King as a complex man. His faults being,as we Irish say,the faults of an honorable man. Stone would make King,God forbid, white. White people could “identify” with King. The latter of course would be a predicatble torture fest of shouting and prasing the Lawd and Bull Connor. The good news is no one will see the PC movie. Like those Chinese “long brave struggle of the peasant woman against the running dogs of imperialism” movies they used(?) to make,it would bore whitey.

      • dd121

You can count on me not to see whichever one they make.

        • Pelagian

Me too. Ill stick with my own personal black epics, like “Rufus Jones for President” with Sammy Davis Jr. A lot cheaper too.. free on YouTube.

  • Another pro black film to avoid, but we’ll no doubt hear all about, great.

I read a quote from that 12 years a slave black ‘English’ director, that ‘we’ need to make many more slavery films to highlight this significant historical period.
That will no doubt be on some sort of a rotation with ‘The book thief” type movies for guilt time.

How does the film industry have time to make movies with events like the Golden globes, the SAG awards, the Critics choice awards, the Baftas, The GLAAD awards, the Oscars, the MTV movie awards, the Teen choice awards,The Kids Choice awards, the people’s choice awards, the Emmies, Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, the Hollywood Film Awards and various festivals like Sundance and Cannes awards and many more to attend?

Just hurray up and die Hollywood die.

    • Fathercoughlin

We’ll need to enslave whitey to get him to sit still for any more cliche ridden “slabery” flicks!

  • Pelagian

I think this is the money quote, from an AR perspective: “I’m told the estate & the ‘respectable’ black community that guard King’s reputation won’t approve it. They suffocate the man & the truth.”

    • Largebill

Whatever people think of Stone, it took courage to put scare quotes around respectable.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

I’m told the estate & the ‘respectable’ black community that guard King’s reputation won’t approve it.

You didn’t offer up enough money, Stone:

The King Family Demands $800,000 to Use MLK’s Image and Words on National Monument

The family of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. has long been criticized for treating King’s legacy as a private cash machine. The family members have been routinely seen in court fighting over money and suing others to give them a cut of any use of his name or likeness.

MLK was a serial philanderer — usually with White women — a fallen clergyman, poverty pimp, race hustler, anti-White and was associated with the communist party.

All of that is a badge of honor in Hollywood.

    • willbest

Dead people have no rights to control their image. Their words would be subject to copyright until forever as long as Disney continues to have its way.

  • dd121

I don’t think they reveal that in the public schools.

    • Mergatroyd

Believe it or not, it was written specifically for the public schools. Not that it would be distributed or used.

    • MBlanc46

They probably don’t, but the facts are well-known to anyone who takes the trouble to find them out.

  • Mergatroyd

There is more to that quote, but it would be deleted as obscene if I were to post it. Something about “***** for God”
He shouted this before he beat up the third woman to come to his room that night.

King has gotten off easy since his death. The truth about him must be spread far and wide, although in the PC madness, I doubt it would make a difference and one might be brought up on hate speech charges for mentioning anything derogatory about Michael King.

  • Mergatroyd

That is a great link and it must be under heavy attack. I tried calling it up last night to post on another site and kept getting a 502.

  • Largebill

I’m not a fan of Oliver Stone, but definitely respect his decision here and having character enough to explain it.

  • emiledurk16

“The truth wasn’t well received by the producers”.

    Gee, too bad.

Maybe Susan Saranwrap could’ve played on of the concubines.

Happy birthday, Gen Robert E. Lee

    • Max Krakah

In that case I am for “method acting”, she should get a real beating

      • emiledurk16

        lmao !

  • Fathercoughlin

Can you give a sourec on Kings downlow predelictions? I am not doubting you(I think as many black males have given me the eye as black FEmales, scarey!!) but I’d like to read some legit info about that.

  • Fathercoughlin

    The gay Super Bowl

    • Brian

      That would be the Tonys.

  • Edruezzi

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and FDR don’t have their birthdays celebrated as public holidays and a man who was never an elected official does. As far as I know the only person whose birthday is a public holiday in the US is Jesus Christ.
I think blacks have to realize that equality means being treated like everybody else, so black heroes have to be treated like everybody’s heroes.
    Just saying.
