Liberal Journalists Make Crude Remarks About Mandela’s Death

Patrick Howley, Daily Caller, December 5, 2013

A couple of journalists faced criticism Thursday for their responses to Nelson Mandela’s death.

Sam Stein, a liberal reporter for the Huffington Post, tweeted that Mandela’s death was “sudden,” prompting Twitter users to criticize his apparent joke. Mandela had been sick for a long time.

Stein deleted the tweet, but not before he was roundly criticized for it. “This is really all about Sam Stein, apparently,” tweeted one user. “nice to know you troll even in the worst of times,” said Politico’s Dylan Byers with a smiley-face symbol.

“What i was trying to say was I was caught off-guard. unprepared for Mandela’s death after having thought about it for some time a month ago,” Stein later argued.

It’s sudden in the sense that at one second when you’re 95, you can be alive, the next, dead.

    • He’d effectively been on life support for about two years.

  • sbuffalonative

Despite his advanced age, he apparently really died of a lung problem he encountered while in prison. I have yet to hear anyone praise the white man’s medical treatments for keeping him alive until the age of 95.

As I checked my clock radio before I go to bed, which is set to a sports channel, the first story they had on the news was the death of Mandela.

    • GOD

“As I checked my clock radio before I go to bed, which is set to a sports
channel, the first story they had on the news was the death of Mandela.”

Quick, pass me a vomit bag!

  • Kit Ingoldby

It’s always good to see leftists caught in the tangles of their own politically correct tyranny.

    • sbuffalonative

This is an example of why I avoid blacks and keep my mouth shut. Everything and anything can be construed as politically incorrect. The rules are meant to be fluid so they can catch you coming and going. Who knew that the word ‘sudden’ could be crude and insensitive?

  • D.B. Cooper

Poor little Stein. His Mandelan comments are mild compared to what I’ve been known to write about the late racist communist.
I had to avoid the TV at work today. I swear, CNN made it sound like Jesus Christ himself died.

    • John K

They would have cheered Jesus’ passing. They seem to follow the false prophet Mohammed.

  • I’m surprised that the progressives aren’t expecting him to rise again in two days time.

I wonder if the Mandela family worked out the MLK esk fight over where to bury him?
Wasn’t one of his 17 grandchildren going to bury him next to a planned Mandela theme park?

    • John K

If the libtards had their way, Mandela would be buried at Arlington National Cemetary alongside fellow communist Ted Kennedy.

  • NeanderthalDNA

Well at least libs seem to love playing “gocha” with their own too. Considering their treacherous nature, not a surprise, eh?

    • Emperor Naked

Posters here do it all the time.

      • NeanderthalDNA

Yeah, but I would argue that there is more diversity of opinion here and less censorship.

        • Emperor Naked

I sure get jumped on when I challenge what I consider backward, unhelpful ignorance among would be white advocates here. But I’ve been banned from CNN. At least I haven’t been here and I’ve been posting (in various names) since 2005/-6. So I must give you the edge on this one.

  • Strike_Team

You would think Mr. Stein would have been keeping better tabs on one of his tribe’s biggest and best puppets.

Wait. They don’t really care about those puppets. One finally drops, on to the next. Gotta keep the war against whites rolling along.

    • Xerxes22

Back in 2008, Sam Stein wrote an article for the Huff. Post titled ” Why I, as a White man, support Obama for president”. The title was inaccurate to say the least. For some unknown reason, my comment was never posted.

      • bilderbuster

You can’t expect him to reveal his true motives as a Jewish man can you?

      • Paleoconn

He’s about as White as Rod Carew.

    • bilderbuster

The Whites are stripped from power & the Oppenheimer’s now have complete control of the nation. As long as the mines are running they could care less about life in South Africa.

    • blight14

      Well stated…….

  • Katherine McChesney

He’s been dead to me for many years.

  • cloudswrest

    Re: Sudden

With apologies to Chevy Chase and Weekend Update, “Nelson Mandela is STILL dead.”

    • Strike_Team

But until the evil beings in charge are knocked aside, we will now endure even more news stories about him, because we must never forget. We won’t hear the end of him, the Holocaust©®, how non-whites actually invented everything or slavery until things are straightened out.

  • bigone4u

What next? Mandela US postage stamp? Check. Nelson Mandela Elementary School in Scarsdale? Check. Mandela statue next to Lincoln in DC? Check. The list could go on and on and on, but Mandela is best defined by the dead bodies everyone is ignoring–his victims, many of whom were ironically of the black race.

    • IstvanIN

I am sick of monuments to foreigners. Like the completely inappropriate holocaust museum I expect some monument to Mandela. And it is unjustified.

      • Jackryanvb

Expect a huge Stalinesque/North Korea Kim Jong style statue/Idol along side MLK statue on the Washington Mall. We’re supposed to worship Mandela, MLK as Godsor new anti racist (anti White) saints.

        • IstvanIN

I saw a billboard on the way to work this morning praising Mandela, this in NJ!

    • Alexandra1973

Wait until February and “Black History” Month. I bet we’ll hear even more about the illustrious one.

      • bilderbuster

        Yes we will.
The Great Mandela took an impoverished nation of slaves ruled by cruel Whites out of the primitive wilderness & turned it into a wealthy, modern nation of free advanced Blacks overnight.

  • Spartacus

A communist, failed terrorist and all-round imbecile is dead. I spit on his grave. Also, I drank more beer than usual today, celebrating .

    • Alexandra1973

Give me one and make it an A&W.

      • Paleoconn

        Isn’t A&W root beer, Alexandra?

    • ShermanTMcCoy

If the ape had a soul, it would roasting in hell.

  • Fighting_Northern_Spirit

What I find interesting is the difference between the death of Ronald Reagan, and the death of Mandela.
    .
Thatcher too. I wasn’t a huge fan of Maggie but the BBC was a sight to behold.

  • John K

That’s criticism? Liberals are complete idiots. Maybe the reporter thought Mandingleberry would have more time to help destroy the world.

Mandela did overstay his welcome, as do many hateful liberals and communists. Look at how much time Ted Kennedy had to destroy us before eventually retiring to the fire pits of Hell.

  • Alexandra1973

    Trayvon Martin–St. Skittles.

Let’s refer to the sainted (haha) Mandela as St. Michelin…you know, for the tires they use in “necklacing”….

  • Alexandra1973

One thing I remember about Reagan is the 1986 amnesty.

    • bilderbuster

To me that is the “Legacy” Reagan left also.
Without a doubt every “conservative” has & will continue to use that as their cover to sellout America.

    • Paleoconn

Bingo. This is what irks me. By the liberals’s standards, libs should revere guys like Nixon and Reagan. Instead they demonize them, and worship JFK who was far to the right of today’s Conservatism Inc., let alone LBJ.

  • cecilhenry

In the PC stalinist world, one small slip up in the rhetoric quickly leads to excommunciation and the gulag.

YOu play with this rhetoric, you can expect to get nailed.

So he thought if was sudden— if its a surprise to him well big deal, he’s surprised. So bloody what……

  • ShermanTMcCoy

Funny, but doesn’t an enema tend to cleanse the colon of brown stuff?

  • NoMosqueHere

Forget Mandela, Obama, and all other pro black leftist leaders. The problems we face are purely the fault of whites. If whites were reasonably unified, Mandela et al would be of no moment.

  • WR_the_realist

All deaths are sudden. You may be seriously sick for a long time, but you’re not dead until your dead. So I don’t understand what the foo fra is about.
