Chaos Erupts at Mall after Release of New Sneakers

WSBTV (DeKalb County), October 5, 2013

The sale of limited edition sneakers created a chaotic scene over the weekend at South DeKalb Mall.

DeKalb police were sent to the mall for a crowd control issue, which forced police to evacuate the building early Saturday. A crowd of up to 1,000 people filled the parking lot in hopes of buying the Retro 5 Bel-Air Jordan Limited Edition sneakers.

{snip} Managers said there were only four stores that sold the sneakers and only 500 pairs were being sold in the state.

A manager from one of the shoe stores said he arrived about 5:30 a.m. and that some customers were armed with guns. {snip}

{snip}

There are two stores in mall that are going to start selling the shoes Sunday for $450. They were sold Saturday for $180.

[Editor’s Note: In Wilmington, Delaware, two men were shot while waiting in line for the new Air Jordans.]

It must have cost maybe $5 per pair to have those shoes assembled in China / West Asia

    • Spartacus

Most of these shoes are made in Indonesia. I saw a documentary about it a few years ago .

  • ncpride

But.. but.. but…We’re always being told how impoverished blacks are in this country! This video and a ton more just like it make you loony liberals look like the idiots and liars you are, but don’t let that stand in the way of your nonsense.

    • Jefferson

Very few Americans of any color are poor by 3rd world stanadrds. On average, “poverty” in America would be considered middle class by Haitian standards for example.

And middle class Americans would be considered wealthy by Haitian standards.

      • ncpride

There was an article here on AmRen a while back about poverty in this country. Turns out, the average ‘poor household’ contained TV, Xbox, air conditioning, microwave, and computer. In other words, not really so poor after all by standards in most places in the world.

        • Jefferson

The only people in America who live in true 3rd world like conditions are homeless panhandlers.

But what percentage of the U.S population sleeps in park benches and on sidewalks every night ?

The percentage can not be very high.

          • Anon

Ummm….you obviously have never investigated how much panhandling makes. Your average, street person who panhandles full time can make a comfortable 6 figure income tax free.

Most, of course, don’t make anywhere near that, but only because, the minute they get $100 or so, they disappear to buy drugs (also, having more than $100 on you at any one time, on the street will guarantee someone murderers you for it).

The CBO recently put it right on the line. The average welfare recipient, takes home 25% more than the average working person. It seems there is plenty of money to buy $500 sneakers for black crackheads using welfare dollars but no money to pay hardworking class white people.

            Slavery.

          • sbuffalonative

Many years ago, PBS’s Frontline started out to do a story about the homeless and panhandling. They ended up scrapping the original story line and instead did a report about how these panhandlers were mostly middle class people with very nice apartments that they paid for with their panhandling profits.

A few months ago, a local downtown life-long panhandler was struck and killed by a car. It turned out he lived with his parents in the suburbs in a very nice home. He was raking in the cash.

I’m sorry he died but glad he’s gone.

          • 48224

NO ONE has to sleep on a park bench. They are there by choice because the shelters will not allow the to drink, do drugs and have sex in the open inside the shelter. They are “homeless” by choice….many people do not realize that.

      • pcmustgo

Americans tend to have bigger houses and cars than Europeans as well… they have better working conditions and free healthcare, and we have bigger is better stuff and houses and all.

        • Anon

Yeah….and the ONLY reason that situation still exists is the really big gun I keep in my house (last measure before Obama became gun salesman of the century is 94 guns for every 100 Americans).

We may be slaves here in the US, but there are limits (because of the guns). In europe, there are no limits. Masta can beats you anytime he want….rape you to (using non-whites as a proxy).

Here in the US, if they want to do that they still have to come up with a societal approved excuse. They can’t just claim racism and club me over the head like they do in Britain or France. They also can’t move a Roma family into my house when I’m not looking and then lock the door and claim evicting them would “violate their human rights” as happens every day, in every european country.

          • me

I have a deep and simmering hate for those anti-White demons! These slimy pieces of garbage are the worst maggots that ever bore holes in s%$t, and a slow torture wouldn’t be enough.

          • BoomersGreatestGen

Another moron who has never been anywhere and believes some freak tabloid story he read and thinks it’s the norm.

        • Romulus

They (Europe) also have massive entitlement programs that they cannot pay for and very long waits for their care. Europe is barely 1/4 the size of America, therefore they are also constrained by their geography itself as it pertains to it’s building codes. They simply do not have the physical space for the equivalent of Americas gigantic suburban sprawl.

          • Brian

            1/4 the size of America?

          • Romulus

From the rand-McNally atlas. Europeans total land mass is approx a fourth of the continental U S. The exact measurement is not the point. My last sentence was; insofar as it deals with the size of our building projects, cities, zoning laws and land use practices.

          • BoomersGreatestGen

The US is actually slightly smaller than Europe. Europe has twice the
population but let’s remember that the US has a few really big places
like Alaska with tiny populations because it is so crappy that no one
            wants to live there.

And you may want to get your facts straight before wasting space kid. If you actually had any sort of education and weren’t a lamebrain who has never been out of the trailer park then you would have known that you 1/4 couldn’t be correct.

          • Romulus

For your information douchebag, I already replied that it was an error in typing. I also hold a masters in structural/mechanical engineering and a minor in evolutionary biology. I might be older than you.
The point to illustrate is the difference in infrastructure. In fighting and name calling between our peoples will get us nowhere.
            Thanks for the comment.

          • Romulus

Whoa! My mistake. I should have said north America. Anyhow, Europeans topography doesn’t lend itself to a highway system quite like ours.

          • Romulus

I meant to compare the continents. My mistake. It was a little late at the time I was typing.

    • pcmustgo

You know, a lot are poor, they just misspend the money. Just because they blow $450 on one pair of sneakers, at the end of the day, they’re still only pulling in $2000 or less per month. They skimp on vegetables and such and more important things. A lot of white poor people smoke- doesn’t mean they aren’t still poor.

      • ncpride

Sorry, but anyone who blows $450 on a pair of shoes can’t be that hard up.

        • Anon

Part of the misunderstanding is you think he has like $1000 in his wallet and pulls out $500 to pay for the shoes. Instead, he has a voucher, that will pay for ANY pair of shoes, whether they are $5 or $500. His choice doesn’t result in him giving something else up.
Why the voucher? Because, given $1000, none of that would go to anything except crack.

          • sbuffalonative

I told this story months ago.

I was standing in line at a grocery store. A black man paid for his groceries with an EBT card. While I was cashing out, the black guy went to the lotto vending machine, put in a $20 bill and punched out scratch offs.

This is like giving money to foreign governments. Our government tells us they aren’t using the money to buy weapons or cause trouble. But the fact is, giving them money to pay for legitimate things allows them to use their own money to buy weapons and cause trouble. It’s an obvious cash diversion which no one seems to notice or talk about.

          • Brian

I’ve had people coming up to me in the grocery wanting me to buy food with their EBT and give them half the value back in cash. Whoops, did my hand brush against my coat, showing you a glimpse of my .45? Silly me.

          • BoomersGreatestGen

wtf are you babbling about? What voucher? Welfare departments don’t give out vouchers for $500 shoes. Don’t be so stupid.

        • sbuffalonative

That’s just it. They aren’t that hard up. It’s all a ruse to get more money from the government.

And we have to listen to black representatives on c-span giving us sob stories about how black folk are hurtin’ and the GD ‘progressive’ MSM are all to happy to keep reporting the lies.

      • Major

You must live in White Plains in New Rochele….maybe Greenwich?

        • pcmustgo

Wrong. In a “real” section of Brooklyn. I also live on a low income myself and have mostly low income friends. I do volunteer work and know a lot of poor people of all colors. I just don’t think all poor people are living “high off the hog”, just because a few foolishly spend $200 once or twice a year or so on sneakers. I think the poor do have it hard here. Not as bad as the Third World of course.

          • BoomersGreatestGen

We don’t know if these are poor people buying these shoes. Likely not.

        • BoomersGreatestGen

Those are 2 different cities lol White Plains has a lot of shopping and headquarters for corps. New Rochelle was very nice at one time but of course there’s been ne-gro encroachment over the years. Greenwich is a wealthy area and a peasant like yourself wouldn’t even be allowed to walk down the street lol

      • sbuffalonative

Giving them money allows them to misspend money.

      • Jefferson

Inner city Bantus pay more money for a pair of Jordan’s than they do on their rent.

Their priorities are screwed up because of their lack of impulse control pulse low I.Q.

        • me

Trying to buy self esteem never works. No matter how many gold chains, expensive sneakers, grills, spinner wheels, etc. At the end of the day, you’re still a ‘groid.

          • Brian

It’s just the modern equivalent of the body mutilation, lip and ear inserts, nose piercings, hair dye and all that they have in Da Muddaland.

      • GeneticsareDestiny

This is true. Most blacks on welfare can’t make it until the end of the month without running out of groceries. But it’s not because we don’t give them enough food stamps; they just sell them on the street for 50% cash value or waste them buying name brand, expensive food.

        • Wethepeople

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in line at a store behind a African with a cart loaded wi lobsters, steaks and crab legs. When it comes time to pay, without fail
“Where I be swipin my Ebt?”

      • Wethepeople

I make 1200 dollars a month currently and I don’t consider myself poor. I live comfortably, within my means and I’m happy. I own ,y own home that I bought foreclosed and fixed myself. I don’t need a brand new car, so I don’t own one. I own a ’97 pickup that doesn’t require a payment, so I can save money and keep it in excellent condition. I may be below the poverty line, but I’m not poor. I live within my means, that is the problem. They don’t spend their money wisely, because they have low IQ’s.

        It’s not a money problem, it’s a black problem.

        • me

I’m assuming that you’re White. A White person doesn’t have to try and buy self-esteem with a $450 pair of cheap-ass sneakers.

          • Wethepeople

Anglo and proud, and your right about that. Ill take my well worn boots any day of the week.

          • BoomersGreatestGen

Those Nike are like $100+ that’s all. These morons pay a higher price because they want a particular shoe. Stupid.

        • BoomersGreatestGen

That’s like minimum wage. Only retards and teenagers work for that. What’s wrong with you boy? You’re a disgrace to white people.

          • Wethepeople

Slightly above, but close enough. Alas, this is what happens while your twenty one and obtaining your degree. Furthermore, my pure genes and fervent physical and cerbal defense of my race might contradict your last statement.

Thanks for the input though cheif.

  • Puggg

Can pay $450 for shoes but they’re so poor that poverty “has to be” the cause for all the crime they do. If you don’t count my one good pair of dress shoes, I don’t think I’ve paid a total of $450 for shoes in all my adult life.

    • joesolargenius

McDonalds gave me a pair of work shoes in May of 2011 that I am still wearing and I wish I had another pair just like them .

    • Jefferson

There are countries in the world where the average household income is lower than the average African American household income. Yet in many of these countries, they have a considerably lower crime rate than Black America. So poverty is definitely not the main cause for the out of control crime rate in Black America.

You are statistically safer in a 3rd world Southeast Asian country like Philippines or Thailand than you are in East St. Louis or Gary, Indiana.

      • Erasmus

Wherever you have Africans, you have Africa. You can take them out of the 3rd world, but you cannot take the 3rd world out of them.

    • borogirl54

I would not be surprised if some of these folks actually robbed and stole to get the money to buy these sneakers. I wonder if the sneakers were still available because the staff at these stores usually end up stealing them and selling them themselves.

    • 48224

I wonder how many of the angels will be killed for their shoes? And how it will be whitey’s fault?

    • sbuffalonative

Blacks spending excessive amounts of money (while pleading poverty) on flashing status symbols. Just another stereotype we’re not supposed to notice.

    • BoomersGreatestGen

      You sound poor.

  • Andy

“Well there needs to be a better and safer system because that is unbelievable.”

Yep. It’s definitely the system that’s at fault here.

    • Yes indeed.

The mechanism of getting shoes to customers is broken.

      *hurl/puke/barf*

    • Brian

Look what mean old Mr. System done did. Mr. System ain’t got no pity.

To alleviate the disproportionate ownership of Air Jordans, Obama and crew will now start giving out Air Jordan’s to welfare recipients when they show up for their Obama phones, food stamps and welfare checks.

Obama will argue that faster running shoes are needed to give those “less fortunate” a better chance at running out to an employment agency to apply for a job.

Makes perfect sense to a liberal.

    • Jesse James

I am not sure there is a disproportionate ownership of Air Jordans. I don’t know any whites stupid enough to pay $450 for a pair of running shoes.

      • The Tank

That’s because whites work for the money they have.

  • Global Minority

Life is short. And people do stuff like this have to be in the single digit IQ range. All this over a pair of shoes. Even if I had that kinda of money to burn I certinaly would not waste it on this crap!

    • pcmustgo

well, whites camp out over the release of the new ipads and such… star wars movies, etc.

      • Major

Because it takes brains to use them. And I haven’t read of any whites in line at an Apple store or to see Star Wars shooting each other…that’s just reserved for the bantu’s.

      • How often do Whites chimp-out “act out” when waiting to purchase much-sought-after, high-end consumer goods?

        • me

I do! I sigh, look at my watch, peer over the line to try and see what’s going on up front, etc.

      • Rusty Shackelford

Yep, and they are only slightly less despicable than the sneaker spoonies because if a gun is used in an iPhone line, it’s usually a Bantu relieving the SWPL’s of their previous phone model. It IS the fall, and despite their natural inclination against work, I hear blacks are fond of Apple picking.

      • Tim_in_Indiana

Do you not see the difference between an orderly waiting in line for electronic goods and rioting for a pair of shoes?

        • me

Must be a disgruntled ‘minority’ or a ‘libtard’.

      • Tarczan

Shoes have been around about 3,000 years or so, right? I phones and such are remarkable pieces of technology(created by whites) that even 20 years ago no one would have believed what they could do. If they were around 20 years ago, one phone would have cost millions of dollars, so it kinda makes sense to stand in line.

        • BoomersGreatestGen

Must be a lot of dumb kids on here. Europeans have been wearing shoes for 50,000 years and I’m not joking. Even that iceman they found in the Italian Alps was wearing some good shoes and he was frozen for 6000 years.

‘The shoes have since been reproduced by a Czech academic, who said that
“because the shoes are actually quite complex, I’m convinced that even
5,300 years ago, people had the equivalent of a cobbler who made shoes
for other people”. The reproductions were found to constitute such
excellent footwear that it was reported that a Czech company offered to
purchase the rights to sell them.’

  • I went to see chaos and a black queue to buy expensive cheap shoes broke out.

    • Erasmus

I’ll wager 99.9% of black have no idea what the word “queue” means, and even the small fraction who do are still unlikely to ever queue up. Queuing up be rayciss.

      • Lagerstrom

Queuing up is as rayciss (White) as literature, correct spelling and grammar and stamp collecting. I could go on…

      • Brian

They do like queueing up their names though. LarQ’uavious, Sheniqua, Quentric, Quarlicious, etc.

        • BoomersGreatestGen

I can’t afford a pair of 450 dollar sneakers and wouldn’t pay that much even if I could. We constantly hear the drumbeat that Blacks are oh so poor yet they are the only race standing in line for these uber expensive sneakers. What gives?

    • MBlanc46

Not only standing in lines for them, killing each other for them.

  • Charles W.

“Will you be paying for your Air Jordans with cash, credit, debit, or EBT?”

      • MBlanc46

I’m so tempted to say, “Or with yo mama”, but I fear it would only be deleted.

  • RisingReich

Hmm $450? I own ‘fine watches’ worth less than that. No wonder they all need ‘EBT’ cards to eat.

I just shake my head, because tomorrow we will have another multitude of beyond the pale stories just like this one. I keep wondering how long this charade can possibly continue, but tomorrow always seems to come and pass by.

What I wonder, WHAT is it going to take? I don’t think anything less than a total economic and societal meltdown will do the trick.

    • Lagerstrom

I often wonder the same thing. It cannot go on for too much longer. It really is starting to stink, the ‘excuses’ are getting weaker and the authorities’ cover-up job more desperate. I think the meltdown has to happen.

  • APaige

Note that social scientific persons do not study why White males do not proportionally participate in sneaker obsession. I guess that these scientists are too busy studying why Black males do not proportionally participate in National Park attendance.

    • Erasmus

Maybe we can get “eminent” black sociologist Rayshawn Ray, PhD, to do a study on why whites are under-represented in mobs waiting to buy over-priced sneakers. If blacks were more welcoming *snorfle* of whites, would whites feel more comfortable mobbing stores to buy crappy shoes made with, maybe, $3 worth of material?

Perhaps state DMV offices should start accepting EBT. Just a thought.

  • Rusty Shackelford

$450 for sneakers but how many of these Ubangis don’t have anything in the food pantry at home that wasn’t paid for by the tax dollars of hardworking white people. I should send Nike a bill for the subsidy my tax dollars provides to them.

Only in black America people pay $450 for a product which would not have cost any higher a very small fraction of that stupid retail price and even commit murder crimes while attempting to purchase them

  • NoMosqueHere

The real culprits here are sick self hating whites who pay these basketball players and attend the games.

  • Johnny99

I thought Detoilet was the new Zimbabwe, or wait, was it Camden? No, maybe Camden was the new Uganda. Birmingham is the new Congo? Where is the new South Africa? I’m confused. What about Oakland?

  • WR_the_realist

If they can pay $180 for a pair of sneakers, do they really need their food stamps, AFDC payments, and section 8 subsidies?

  • [Guest]

Any black who takes pride in his heritage should be authentic concerning his footwear. So what manner of shoes, if any, have Africans developed? and what kind do they wear in their native habitat?

As far as I’m able to determine, the following represents the height of black footwear ingenuity, and all it requires is stepping into a white man’s trash pile.

    • It’s really sad that blacks will fight to pay over $200 for “afawete” shoes here, while someone just like them will make sandals out of deflated plastic bottles.

      • Erasmus

Ironically, I’ve got to applaud the black with the ingenuity to fashion sandals out of deflated plastic bottles over the one so stupid that he thinks he can’t live without $200 sneakers.

      • [Guest]

Sadder still would be the spectacle of this fellow’s tribal elders attempting this before the advent of plastic soft-drink bottles. It doesn’t work quite as well with glass.

    • libertarian1234

His right shoe doesn’t have a bottle cap so he probably got half off on that one.

      • [Guest]

Either that or it was a steal-one, get-one-free situation.

    • Ella

I think we can market these sandals as “green” friendly in the US and Europe to hip-hop, mode groups.

      • [Guest]

That’s an idea. But just imagine the bloodshed in the parking lot of the gentlemen’s club on MLK Boulevard if this fashion statement were to catch on.

        Talk about poppin’ caps!

    • Brian

Why, is that the latest Air Jugdans?

      • [Guest]

No, they were Air Jugdans before he stepped on them.

        Now they’re Airless Jugdans.

  • evilsandmich

A manager from one of the shoe stores said he arrived about 5:30 a.m. and that some customers were armed with guns.

Duh, who did you think was going to show up to buy those shoes?

    • libertarian1234

Yes, life isn’t worth living if you don’t have your sneakers of choice.

    • Brian

Too bad none were armed with brains.

  • Talltrees

Delaware caught the disease by being too close to Camden, Philadelphia, Baltimore and DC. It is contagious, you know.

  • Pelagian

How do the news reporters, trained supposedly in the “Five Ws”, refrain from mentioning the race of everyone involved in this incident? This is a story of blacks, by blacks, for blacks, and outside of blacks would not have happened and could not have happened. Somebody in the newsroom had to have been biting his lip not to write the “lead” of the story as, “A Bunch of N’s in South DeKalb Mall Erupt into Violence over Tennis Shoes”.

    • YngveKlezmerRebel

Exactly!!! This was a Black event all the way. Such events do not happen in areas with few to no Blacks. Constant contention is their way of doing things.

  • Pelagian

Don’t miss the honest black girl at the 2:00 mark: “If we didn’t have PO-lice out here I don’t believe probably anybody would’ve survived….
Everybody started pushing and shoving and doing the crazy thing as usual, they cut the line then they broke the line.”

    • libertarian1234

Nancy Pelosi and other limousine liberals who live in a parallel universe would be deeply shocked to read that, because they always thought blacks were well-cultured, well-mannered and never got rowdy.

But, don’t worry, they’ll probably chalk this behavior up to slavery, because they weren’t allowed to wear sneakers in the cotton fields…………or some other reason just as logical.

  • ZeitTrash

Hey, remember when white people rioted over the new Red Wing work boots and threatened other boot buyers with guns? Me neither.

    • Erasmus

This mob is why smart people profile.

  • Sue

That was my thought too. Damn those stores for forcing these well spoken upstanding individuals from quietly “acquiring” their shoes! “Gonna kick u, punch u whateva, I’s gettin’ m’ shoes!”

  • me

    LOL! Too true!

  • me

And Stephanie Meyer is crying all the way to the bank, sucka!

  • Defiant White

These are the same 1,000 who couldn’t show up on time for class to start, for a job interview or to visit their chilluns on Father’s Day . . . but they managed to make it to this event.

  • Boris McGuffin

Is there any way we could get our scientists to figure out how to make such sneakers cause sterility in black males, but not in white males?

    • Brian

      Conversate Pine-tops. Now with HIV!

    • YngveKlezmerRebel

The only White males who wear these types of shoes are brainless Wigger boys who wish they were Schvartse, so I’ll certainly champion a sterility inducing chemical in these shoes!!

  • Harry Largo

There is a better and safer system. It’s called apartheid.

    • Fr. John+

From your mouth, to God’s ears.

  • Brian

    if the shoe fits, indeed!

  • Brian

If you ever come to Atlanta, go to North DeKalb mall, not to South DeKalb Mall. I can do the whole list for Apelanta.

  • Brian

Whites are edging back into certain pockets of Atlanta and doing their horrible gentrification– the horror of businesses and rising property values. One more election and we might be able to get the mayorship back. Perhaps there is a small use for white liberal hipsters after all.

  • Brian

My friend has made money standing alongside the city’s gun buyback programs and offering cash money to people in line at .50 on the buyback dollar. The groid wants cash rather than a sporting ticket or gift certificate and doesn’t want to queue. Some of these idiots come across decent weapons and don’t know the value.

  • [Guest]

If I understand the slang, I believe that qualifies as a “pimped-out” shoe.

  • YngveKlezmerRebel

The best and safest system is living in an area with few to no Negroes. All such places are known for their lack of violent crime.

  • BoomersGreatestGen

I’d like to do that around all trailer parks and working class areas.

  • BoomersGreatestGen

That crap that they buy is all fake. Cheap counterfeit stuff.

  • BoomersGreatestGen

Just get some Bally, Pantofola ‘ora or Gucci. If you’re poor then just get something like Rockports and you won’t look ‘ghetto
