Where Are All the Black Models?

Beverly Johnson, The Daily Beast, September 12, 2013

I didn’t attend Fashion Week in New York this season. And by all accounts, I certainly made the right decision. A disturbing trend that began on the runway a few years back is continuing—a trend of exclusion that is glaringly insulting and simply unacceptable to me.

I’ll never forget Fashion Week in 2010, when a major designer (whom I won’t name) invited me to his fall fashion collection. He messengered over a personal design for me to wear to the show, along with a note complimenting me for all my pioneering work in the industry.

In 1974, I became the first African-American model to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine. I continued to break down racial barriers by becoming the first black model to appear on an international cover of Elle magazine. More major fashion publications followed.

Appreciative of his comments and consideration, I accepted the designer’s invite and proudly took my front-row seat among other celebrities and fashion-industry notables. I sat there as endless numbers of gorgeous garments sashayed down the runway, draped over endless numbers of gorgeous bodies. I loved the detail and the glamour of it all, but as the show neared its end, I realized one unsettling omission: not one black model had strolled down the catwalk. By the time every girl came back onstage—marking the close of the show—my mouth was completely agape. Had this fashion designer actually complimented me on my role in changing the color of fashion and then invited me to a show with absolutely no black models in it at all? He most certainly had, and he clearly saw no problem with it. As reporters approached me after the show to ask my view of the designs, I waved them away, as I’d forgotten every outfit that crossed my sight that afternoon. Now all I could see was red. And it wasn’t a stunning red dress.

Three years later I’m still seeing red, as more and more designers appear content with only showcasing women of European descent wearing their clothes. They also seem quite content with letting us people of color know that they could care less how we feel about it.

Just this week, model Naomi Campbell and former models Iman and Bethann Hardison went on Good Morning America to express their concerns about the blatant disregard for diversity shown by major design houses in the current fall fashion shows for 2013. They named notable brands such as Donna Karan and Calvin Klein as examples of designers guilty of ignoring the American landscape, which includes beauty of all hues and tones.

{snip}

It’s no secret that the ‘70s and ‘80s were a heyday for black models on the runway, and in between the pages of glossy magazines as well. The ‘90s ushered in an era of models with little to no body fat, as well as the demand for celebrity faces as must-haves on major magazine covers. Both events set the stage for fewer and fewer women of color to get a shot at true stardom in the world of haute couture.

How about blacks holding their OWN fashion show? This woman’s very own words confesses that blacks are not our equal.

    • Oil Can Harry

Their own fashion show? But that would take hard work, money and creativity!

The only good black designers were the Africans who knitted Tarzan’s loincloth.

      • John Smith

Oh come now, Ethiopia was the Christianized cultural center of Africa from the first century. They didn’t really lose their bearing until the Muslims got in there. Muzzies ruin everything.

        • Oil Can Harry

Sorry but the “Christian” and animist Africans are almost as bad as the Muslim ones.

In fact the Christian blacks in Africa are way less civilized than the Muslim Arabs and Berbers in North Africa.

          • John Smith

Well that’s a broad statement. So broad that it simply is false in many cases and true in many others. The Kingdom of Aksum (e.g. Aksumite Empire), for example, was one of the four great powers along with Persia, Rome, and China for hundreds of years after the introduction of Christianity.

And I hope you do have the opportunity to meet moral, perfectly behaved, educated, socialized, Christians from Africa that speak perfect English. I have and though they are a minority of blacks in Africa found them to be the opposite of the image the White Power supremacist espouses much like men such as Thomas Sowell are here in America.

Of course, that WP supremacist image of blacks actually does exist the world over too.

Anyways, even if you willfully choose to let your racial hatred of all blacks (past, present, and future) cause you to reject them as an entire population I hope you’ll acquire the integrity to acknowledge historical and archeological truth in the aggregate which includes both positive and negative manifestations.

          • Sick of it

            Black Aksum?

I think you mean the 14th century (or later) re-write of everything in the region. Or perhaps it was the 17th century when black muslims settled there and drastically altered the gene pool. I get my invasions mixed up.

          • Sick of it

Christian “blacks”? Look at the history of East Africa a little more closely.

      • watling

Bob Geldof in his 1980s autobiography described how an irate black man accused him of racism for not including any black artists in his 1985 Live Aid charity event.

As a peace offering Geldof agreed to help black artists set up a blacks only musical event to also raise money for starving Africans. Needless to say he heard nothing more about it and no such black event took place because …

… “that would take hard work, money and creativity”

        • Oil Can Harry

If only the Irish gov’t would deport Bob Geldof and Bono to their favorite continent Africa.

          • watling

Geldof lives in England so he can be near all his money. Funnily enough he doesn’t live in a black ghetto but in a nice rural setting populated by mostly white people.

There was such a show for many years called the Ebony Fashion Fair put out by the wife of the owner of Ebony Magazine. The show also put out their own makeup and skin care line for black women called Fashion Fair, which is sold at Macy’s Bloomingdales and other high end department stores.

    • Diversity Awareness Brigade

Because they are needed at White fashion shows to monitor racism and hold the Whites accountable for unearned privilege, i.e. destroying the privilege of a Whites Only event.

    • Erasmus

Face it: Even other blacks prefer to look at something other than Kyreesha, LaShonda and all the other big-a**ed, broad-nosed sistah’s from da’ ‘hood when they don’t have to.

      • me

Them Bantu wommens be al booful an’ sheeeyt….more booful than them Craka wommens!

        • The second from the bottom is a man.

          • baldowl

That’s Chickenishua Watermelonisha. You can add her as a friend on Facebook.

          • “Her”?

          • CharlesFinley

            Quite right. It!

          • FormerlyEdNY

I think they are all men.

          • The second one from the top has a mustache. You may be right. The one on top seems enraged that the one on the bottom has stolen her (?) pizza and is eating it.

          • Spartacus

            How can you tell ?

          • Erasmus

I thought the one on the top was a man.

        • GeneticsareDestiny

(Not sure if this is quite sfw enough to post here, but I think it is. If you want to remove it, mod, feel free.)

Remember white men: you’re an awful racist if you think she’s any less beautiful than a normal white woman.

          • Boris McGuffin

I saw an episode of Cops where these cops were trying to deal with an unruly black woman that looked like that green blob in the picture there. I kid you not, it took about four cops to get her into submission after wrestling around with her on the ground for an appreciable length of time.

          • NorthSea

Did they have to get shots later?

          • William Krapek

            Oh you!!!

            😉

          • QuinnTheEskimo9

I see you went to the zoo this afternoon and took some photographs.

          • David Ashton

Aren’t there any ugly fat white women?

          • GeneticsareDestiny

There certainly are. But is a white woman chosen at random as likely to be overweight and/or unattractive as a black woman chosen at random?

            I doubt it.

          • David Ashton

I have been firmly opposed to black x white miscegenation all my adult life, but I have known some bright and pleasant black females as teaching colleagues and as pupils. I do not think we should poke fun at individuals who cannot help how they are born or just because they are unattractive. I support racial co-existence rather than racial muddle.

          • GeneticsareDestiny

You are right, and I feel kind of bad about poking fun at her. I’ve known decent, hard-working blacks too, of both sexes.

          • David Ashton

Thank you. The cleverest girl of any race that I ever taught was black, beautifully mannered and highly intelligent, eventually becoming a physics graduate from Cambridge. The black boys I taught were not very bright at all, except for one who thought Hitler was the greatest man in history! When one of our local boys’ schools became predominantly Afro-Caribbean it became pretty “impossible” and is now closed.

          • stewball

What about all those weird whites who go into that supermarket of yours the name of which I have forgotten. They are gross.

          • GeneticsareDestiny

Walmart? Yeah, it tends to attract the lowest-common-denominator among all races, including whites.

        • Boris McGuffin

In the last picture, what’s that in her bottom lip? An ash tray?

        • Whitetrashgang

The first picture proves evolution, the other pictures just scare me.

        • watling

That top picture is Roddy McDowall in his Planet of the Apes face mask

        • Evette Coutier

Thank you for this post. I’ve laughed this hard in years!!!!!!!

        • QuinnTheEskimo9

Most hideous halloween costumes I’ve seen in a long time, even Freddy Krueger or Jason would be scared off. You need to post a warning upstream. The one of the wookie dressed like MOOchelle obama is by far the worst.

  • Extropico

How about you go to Africa if you want a black fashion show! They have 1 billion people there. The West should be primarily for Westerners.

    • D.B. Cooper

Our author, and the Vogue cover she brags about. HEY Bev, isn’t Ebony more your style, which you were also on the cover of?
Why are you wearing white women’s hair these days?

      • dd121

She either got photoshopped or had a nose job to look more white.

        • stewball

Doubt. She’s got her beautiful features from a white parent and one can see a nose job a mile off. She justhhas beautiful features.

      • Spartacus

She’s obviously had a “Whitification” nose job .

        • Extropico

I like to use the word deWhitification as a synonym for our ethnic cleansing.

          • baldowl

            Transnegrification is useful too.

          • Extropico

Trust you to think that sparticus.

      • borogirl54

Remember this was taken in 1974.

        • D.B. Cooper

Exactly. That cover was taken in 1974, and looks like it was lightened compared to the original picture I saw elsewhere.
This woman wants to badmouth an industry that allowed her to become wealthy by being a quota, and not even a full blooded one at that.
This is the 2013 60 year old version

          • William Krapek

Gotta say. She still looks good.

          • D.B. Cooper

Her daughter is a “plus size” model, and nowhere near as attractive as mom. Mom Bev no doubt used her pull to get her black, overweight daughter a modeling career.
She and her daughter both married black, so whatever caucasion DNA she has is fading away.
Bev can thank her whiteness for being attractive enough to have a long modeling career, and the IQ to become a millionaire in her own right without Affirmative Action. I hear millions of black women are loyal customers of her wig brand.

          • William Krapek

“She and her daughter both married black, so whatever caucasion DNA she has is fading away.”

Yes that is a shame. Why oh why do the the mixed punt on such a good fortune? My four half-negro male cousins did the same thing. Feral all the way.

            Shame.

          • D.B. Cooper

Iman has two daughters. Her first daughter is Zulekha Haywood from former basketball player Spencer Haywood.

Zulekha, Iman’s child by basketball star Spencer Haywood, claimed the model was a horrible mother who made her life a living hell.

It must’ve been really hell. Zulekha had gastric band surgery to drop some of her 330 lbs.

Her other daughter is from David Bowie. Alexandria Zahra Jones (Bowie’s real last name) is only 13, so the jury is still out on her. However, she is obviously an improvement to Iman’s family tree, if not to Bowie’s. I wonder which kid mom prefers?

Natural selection comes into play here. Zulekha has only been involved with black men, but in 10 years, who will Alexandria date? I suspect both of her parents want her with a white man, but we’ll see.

          • NorthSea

David Bowie had a wife? I thought he “swung from the other side of the plate”.

          • Strider73

            “Switch hitter,” perhaps?

          • kjh64

Well, I’ve heard he has gone both ways in the past. Now, he is married to the African model Iman and has a daughter with her.

          • William Krapek

Thank you for this. I hope they stay with the white men. Especially Alexandria. They’ll have better children – which would be a big favor for us – and they’ll be treated a hell of a lot better.

      • Diversity Awareness Brigade

That face is hatred with a smile. Look in the eyes.

        • D.B. Cooper

The article enough to tell she is a hater. Perhaps she hates her own people for having to rely on their enemy for job opportunities, electricity, and automobiles.

      • John Smith

Like most of the so called “black” women in fashion and modeling, this gal looks like a white woman with a suntan

Extract out the black blood and you’ll have an ink spot on the floor

        • Jefferson

Beverly Johnson has way too much melanin in her skin for to be overwhelmingly White and only have a small ink spot of Black blood.

If she did a DNA test, I doubt very much her results would say she is 90 percent European for example.

Eva Longoria has significantly lighter skin than Beverly Johnson and Eva Longoria is only 70 percent European.

So I doubt very much Beverly Johnson is genetically majority European.

      • WASP

Black women try hard doing all sorts of processing to their hair and dying it to try to make their hair look like a White woman’s. I have natural blond hair and so many women highlight their hair now. At the last place I worked, the Black supervisor in our office complimented me on my hair cut and the pretty highlights. I told her it wasn’t highlights; I didn’t put anything in my hair. I could see by the expression on her face, she didn’t like my answer.

        • My high school girlfriend had blond hair like that.

        • Funruffian

Of course she wouldn’t. Blacks, especially Black females, try to level the playing ground by not admitting that our hair is the pinnacle they want to achieve. They hate to think ours is 100% A1 natural. It pains them to know they envy us.
I normally wear my hair longer than the average guy, because I am told what nice hair I have. I never shave my head or get crew cuts. This one Black customer of mine years ago complimented my hair. I said that I needed to get a haircut. she replied, “Why change perfection”. Sometimes they are nice and flirty.

          • Pelagian

that’s a good, interesting story fun ruffian. Which underscores the point that they shouldn’t be in Western civilization in large numbers. Jealousies and enmities are going to abound. They shouldn’t be subjected to alternate paragons of beauty that they can’t live up to. They should all be in Africa building their own self-esteem for kinky hair, dark skin, etc. Straight blonde hair should be as foreign and odd-looking to them as, I don’t know, Martian hair would be to earthlings. if I were around Martian hair 24-7, I might esteem it superior to human hair. But the point is, I have no business living on Mars in the first place. I would hope that some black nationalists would agree with me.

      • CharlesFinley

        BARELY “black”.

      Aborigines vs. Black Africans

        Aborigines vs. Black Africans?

  • Truthseeker

The more complaints about “lack of diversity” I hear, the more I get this image of a kid on the playground yelling “it’s not fair! You aren’t playing with me! I’m telling!”

  • willbest

High fashions problem isn’t the lack of ethnic diversity. Its the fact that they put silicon breasts in girls that look like 14 year old boys and call them beautiful is the real problem.

    • GeneticsareDestiny

The designers choose models who look like 14 year old boys because a large chunk of the designers are gay men, and the rest are women, and women tend to follow the crowd, so they choose the same models as their gay male counterparts.

  • bigone4u

If those mincing gay fashion designers really are excluding black women, then they have more common sense and more “b***s” than most of the rest of us put together. I think I’ll start a new career as a designer, pushing out the George Corley Wallace line of fashions for WHITE women!! With accessories to match by KKK, of course.

    • David Ashton

Gay fashion designers like flat chests and ultra-thin thighs, like boys.

  • Diversity Awareness Brigade

Sharpie Sharpton interviewed a fat black gay n’roid fashion expert about the racism in fashion, which, of course, was some sort of daily MSNBC “call for action.”

I hope they ruin the fashion industry as much as they have everything else. Have you noticed all the blacks wearing bright yellows, greens, and reds from J.Crew like preppy frat boys at Ole Miss? A laugh at them like somebody just told me the Congolese built the pyramids and invented space travel.

Did you see the J’wess author of the new Preppy Handbook gushing over (pushing) the new multicultural preppiness? “Now we have blacks and gays!”

White privilege means the privilege of watching your social markers coopted by hideous Diversity. “We area all the same now.”

The sooner Whites see Darkest Al-Obamafication of Everything formerly White, the better off we will all be.

Let’s hope the DOJ issues an order mandating minimum 51% blacks at all fashion shows. And even that minimum “isn’t enough because it doesn’t go far enough.”

    • NorthSea

Thanks, I had eye surgery a couple of years ago and now I gotta back.

  • bigone4u

A couple of months ago Amren posted an item on the pressure on the porn industry to create more interracial porn, which I call bestiality porn, since there is no difference IMO. Anyway, if you think Bantu fashion models are unattractive, try looking at female black porn stars. No white man who is not a total degenerate would engage with one of them, no matter how much money he was being paid.

    • NorthSea

All right, now, there’s no way I’m eating supper after reading this one. Thanks a lot.

    • Jenkem Huffington

I just threw up in my mouth a little reading this.

    • Didn’t some white gal in that profession receive some flack for saying there was no way she would do it with a diversitoid?

      • bigone4u

I did some follow-up research on the internet adult film database website. They have no pics or vids. Just data. Using the advanced search feature, I got a list of female porn stars who did the deed with black males. I recall there were 819 names on the list, which is probably something of an undercount. Nonetheless, there are thousands of female pron stars, so the number is relatively small. I do recall seeing something in a news story or blog about one in particular who was called racist for refusing to work with blacks, but I can’t recall her name. When you realize that these are often the most degraded of women, the fact that many of them refuse to go black is telling.

    • Rhialto

Most straight porn is White on White; there is much Black on White; some White/Black on Asian. Very little White on Black, and Black on Black is rare.

      • Johnny Clay

Most black-on-white porn I’ve seen involves a black man subjugating a white women sexually.

    • Erasmus

No white man who is not a total degenerate would engage with one of them, no matter how much money he was being paid.

Guess they’re going to have to go with a non-goy white guy for the role. I’m sure finding one will be easy.

      • Beetlejuice

Ron Jeremy comes to mind. An absolute degenerate if there ever was one and non-goy too.

  • bubo

The racial hacks are running out of material. I see this story at least 4 or 5 times a year. Same with the “not enough minorities in my State park” stories that are run several times a year now.

    • QuinnTheEskimo9

Expect the aggrieved racial hacks to run to the courts to “rectify” the situation so that AA will be mandated and then enforced in the U.S. fashion industry.

    • CoweringCoward

      Don’t forget NASCAR and Princeton.

  • GeneticsareDestiny

Black women rarely make it in the fashion world because they’re the least feminine race of women. Designers are going to choose models who can successfully advertise their clothes, and that means whites and East Asians, who look the most feminine.

Once again, blacks come in dead last in any profession that involves getting people to purchase what you’re selling.

    • anew

      E. Asian runway models are just as rare as black runway models. It’s pretty much a white thing.

      • GeneticsareDestiny

They’re not common in Western fashion, but they’re very common in their own countries. Asian men very much like East Asian models, and Asian women buy clothes modeled by East Asian models.

Contrast this with the fact that not even black men like to see black models, and in African fashion magazines, the women usually have at least some white genetics.

        • anew

Tokyo is the only important fashion center in the East, and it’s a second tier fashion town, on par with Madrid or Berlin. Models, wherever they’re from, want to be walking in New York, London, Milan, and Paris.

      • Northerner

Asians are only 4% of the U.S. population (with East Asians alone about 2%). They’re rare in almost everything.

        • anew

High fashion is not an exclusively, or even mostly, American industry. New York is just one of four top fashion capitals, and probably only about 5-7% of runway models are Americans. The E. Asian models are almost always from E. Asia.

          • Northerner

In any case, given the mostly white & black U.S. population, Asian models are used less largely because the public doesn’t identify as much with them.

        • QuinnTheEskimo9

Nonsense. There are billions of Asian women in Asian countries. Most White models no longer come from the US, but from Eastern Europe. Why don’t the fashion houses look in Asia with their billions and billions of women to choose from?
          We should ask John Engelman.

  • Spartacus

Stop trying to think these things use logic, they don’t . Just trust your own eyes.

  • borogirl54

She is probably racially mixed like most blacks. In fact, there are supermodels that are African such as Iman and Alek Wek.

  • borogirl54

The problem is that the average woman in this country wears a size 14 but you rarely see size 14 models walking on runways. They are size 0 models. Real women have breasts and curves that these models do not have.

    • Jenkem Huffington

Naught for nothing, but I expect the “average” is a 14, but if you take a walk through your local wal mart you have to figure it takes a lot of 2’s and 3’s to compensate for some of the feeders on those motorized carts. We have a major issue with obesity in US of A. Primarily due to really terrible eating habits and the abundance of incredibly cheap but really awful “food”. That all being said, most of the “models” really don’t look healthy at their weights either.

I like petit women myself and white as the driven snow. Different strokes.

  • Boris McGuffin

To remedy this very disturbing problem around which we should all revolve, I’m coming out with a fashion line called the Rachel Jeantel collection. Each garment is perfectly matched to a different one of the skittles colors, and somewhere on each one it reads “Crazy Ass Cracka”, in cursive of course.

    • Whitetrashgang

What blacks really need are panties that change color depending on what STD they have. Could sell millions in the hood.

  • Boris McGuffin

Designers like long straight lines, and those big black butts get in the way. Plus which, I don’t think you can use an EBT card to buy designer clothing……yet.

    • GeneticsareDestiny

You can use EBT to buy anything if you exchange it for cash at an Arab supermarket. That’s how black women on welfare afford to get their nails done and buy weaves.

    • IstvanIN

When the black women at work wear dresses they are always way higher up in the back than in the front. The hems don’t lay level.

Well, I’m sure most of the New York designers are leftist Obama supporters, most are Jews or E. Asian and gay, but most high fashion models are foreigners. Probably around 2/3 are from Europe alone, and of these, about half are from Slavic Europe. So perhaps they are not all so leftist (I mean they are willing to earn money off their looks. I know there is skill involved, but you can’t be a 5’2” 150 pounder with a snub nose.)

Anyways, the diversity brigade makes the same complaints every fashion week. Thankfully, no one cares. These idiots act like runways should “represent America,” but New York is the only one of the big four fashion capitals that is in the U.S.; the other three are all in Europe, and since they all use the same models, it’s not surprising that the models are mostly white.

The extent of the whiteness (80-90% when only about 10% of 15 to 25 year olds worldwide are white) is a bit shocking, but can’t we have anything to ourselves?

    • Erasmus

“Den we needz ta gitz some Senegalese, Ghanaians and some ob da sistahz from Djibouti inta dat mix. We needz some big-a**ed, broad-nosed, fat-lipped sistahz.”

How’s about comparing who’s DNA is closer to that of a chimpanzee, the Mongoloid, Caucaziod, or Negroid? The genome has been decoded.

I can’t even see the censored message, but I’ve seen a few and the resemblances are uncanny.

    • dd121

It has been decoded but I think a lot of what has been revealed by science is being suppressed by the PC.

      • QuinnTheEskimo9

So true. IQ and difference in brain size as well.

  • MBlanc46

Anyone remember the Japanese social scientist at the London School of Economics who published some research on the Psychology Today website that claimed to show that people all over the world consider black women the least attractive women in the world? It caused a major kerfuffle and PT apologized profusely and yanked it pronto. The research might not have been any better than the usual social scientific fluff, but I certainly find them the least attractive and I know that I’m not alonr in that opinion. No one is going to pay big bucks to a crude, masculine-appearing woman to promote very expensive clothes.

    • borogirl54

Anybody remember Grace Jones in the 70’s and 80’s? She fit the mold that you are talking about.

      • FormerlyEdNY

Venus and Serena Williams fit right into that mold.

    • Libs are We Todd Ed

I think the fact that there are many “East European” and “Asian” mail order bride services, but “African” mail order brides are not in high demand, is sufficient to support the theory that Africans are among the least attractive populations.

      • MBlanc46

Even black men don’t want them.

  • gemjunior

Black women have always been walking in European design shows since earlier than the ’70s, but Beverly Johnson is the only one that became well known in the .’70s and beyond. What is amazing is how black, African, and other cultures feel so entitled to European inventions and everything European, including coming to these countries with skin as black and shiny as a patent leather shoe and claiming with a totally straight face that they are “Irish” or “Swedish”. I’ve heard them arguing it with people who are obvious products of a thousand years on their own soil. These 3rd worlders have been treated so well and been so welcomed into the west that they don’t appreciate western inventions such as running water and electricity – why should they? They feel totally entitled to them and if you even try to tell them that these are specifically European in origin rather than African for example, then you are a racist. There is no appreciation or gratitude at all. They want everything that they could never create – including fashion and complex patterning and tailoring – but could never rise to that ability. They can make a simple muu muu with a couple of yards of cotton and a matching cloth around their heads but that’s about it. But they insist on taking credit for as much as they can. Everywhere they go they automatically claim that they were there and are a necessary part of the society. And everywhere, white people that are old enough to remember, always remember that since their arrival and encroachment there has been nothing but degradation and destruction of what used to be paradise. Parts of Ireland just 25 years ago may have been sort of poor in the sense of materialism and not having enough gadgets or such an abundance of food that some could be thrown out. But it was completely safe and It was a very old saying that a woman dripping in jewels could walk the length and breadth of the entire country and no man would harm a hair on her head. It may not have been that perfect, but it was really safe, and happiness was more than having “stuff”. we have to make these talentless, arrogant people understand that what we have is not theirs. While we are paying them a percentage of our own wages I guess it’s hard to point that out.

    • QuinnTheEskimo9

I started to read your post and it was very interesting but I had to stop.
Please format your comment, it is far too difficult to read as one long block.
When I see posts that appear like yours = tl;dr.
Too bad because I think you made some great points in there somewhere from what I read in the beginning.

  • Chris Granzow XI

Are they ever going to come to the conclusion that maybe they’re just not that attractive? I doubt it…

  • I agree. Seeing a Bongonian wearing something makes me want to buy something else. Why would anyone imagine I would pay good money to look like one of those?

    • Antipodean WN

That’s weird Mr Scott – I thought any man would not wear such clothes regardless of who modelled them, anyway —are you a cross-dresser?

      • Let’s see: I am wearing ratty black jeans, an old “Wells Fargo” T-shirt, a “Field & Stream” hunting shirt with leather elbow patches and jika-tabi split-toed boots. Not very faggy at all. Perhaps you have mistaken me for someone else.

I just won’t dress like an n-word with shoelaces undone and pants halfway down.

  • gemjunior

She is absolutely awesome and I do indeed love her and respect her very much. It’s pretty worrisome to see all the assholes fighting with her are WHITE.

    • Mariele LePen is better looking.

      • GeneticsareDestiny

Wow, she is very pretty. I’d never seen a picture of her prior to this.

      • sshadow

Such natural and refined beauty. Probably from northern France. Truly inspirational. It takes a white man and a white woman to bring this into the world. Incomparable. .

        • Andy

I don’t know about her mother’s family, but her father’s family is Breton (Celts of northwest France). However, this is quite an old picture of her. She is now forty-five.

          • NorthSea

I was so enchanted I looked her up on Wiki. She’s 23 yrs old and was born in the Ile de France, in the western Parisian suburbs. Her grandfather is Jean Marie Le Pen.

          • Andy

Oh, I thought that was Marine Le Pen when she was younger.

          • NorthSea

Marine is her aunt. Her mother’s name is Yanni Le Pen.

          • CoweringCoward

Wonder if she had to wear a burka to keep from being gang raped by France’s diversities.

          • Spartacus

            What ? No, she’s 23… You’re thinking of Marine Le Pen .

          • I am 45 in this picture. Sometimes it is difficult to judge someone’s age. I am now halfway to 50 from when this was taken.

        • NorthSea

          Right-wing women are SO hot!

        • Junis

‘White’ women are pigs in particular those who preside in the UK.

      • Spartacus

Her name’s not Mariele, it’s Marion Maréchal-Le Pen . She was only 22 when she won a seat in Parliament , making her the youngest MP in French history .

        • WASP

She is very pretty, classic French.

      • NorthSea

What a cleansing vision after those other horrible ones.

  • Jefferson

Her skin color is too dark for her to be only 1/8th Black. Octoroons tend to look either White or close to White like Mariah Carey for example.

  • Funruffian

These so-called Black models could never really compete against the European models unless they had an aggressive publicist or financial backing. None of the aforementioned black females from Iman, Beverly Johnson or Naomi Campbell could equate the beauty of 95% of the Euro models.

    • pcmustgo

That’s funny- as I child I saw Naomi Campbell as being the prettiest of all the models….. for her exoticness. Granted, she does wear hair weave (fake long hair).

Lia Kibede , the Ethiopian, is very classically pretty- then again, they are not west african, and are basically black/arab mixes.

Naomi Campbell is 1/2 Chinese or something.

      • QuinnTheEskimo9

Naomi Campbell has an ugly personality making her ugly all over. Lia Kibede is average looking at best.

  • Antipodean WN

What’s the point about going on and on over who is more attractive. Whites should have their own countries, and blacks their own countries with their own fashion shows, or whatever is equivalent.

In fact if blacks thought white women were darned ugly, and Asian women thought similarly of white men, that would be great! No more race-mixing.

    • Because the world is somewhat unfortunately “integrated”, the issue of mixing ought to be discussed in a rational, level-headed manner. I think Miss LePen is drop-dead pretty. I also completely love my wife. If I had to choose, I would still pick Sayaka. If I had to pick between my country or Sayaka, I would pick Sayaka. She stuck with me; she has a wonderful stubbornness about her in this respect.

I wouldn’t want you to do it.

      • QuinnTheEskimo9

The world is not integrated. Only White countries have been forced to become integrated and multicultural until Whites are nothing more than a small minority or blended out of existence.
Japan and other Asian and African countries are not integrated or multicultural, and there is no call to move massive numbers of non-Asians or non-Africans into those countries. The UN would call it genocide if that were to happen.

    • Junis

‘White’ nationalism is about preserving wealth inequality. It definitely isn’t about fighting for the so-called human rights of the ‘white’ race.

  • Kit Ingoldby

Yet more evidence that nothing will ever satisfy the grievance mongers.

Whatever they are given is not enough, whatever the situation it ‘isn’t fair’, whatever the circumstances, it is ‘discriminatory’.

Time to stop trying to appease the unappeasable.

    • QuinnTheEskimo9

I expect there to be lawsuits soon against the fashion houses for discriminatory hiring — followed by large payouts to “those who weren’t hired.” I’m surprised Jesse and Al haven’t butted in yet, if there’s money to be extorted, they’re right there, and the fashion industry has money, lots of it, ripe for the taking.

  • LIBERTYSINCURSION

Where are all the black models? The same place where all the black scientist are, the imagination of Hollywood.

  • In fashion: “Black is the new white, daaaaarlings!”

Do these people have a calendar where they roll out the same old issues every single year? It is like a merry-go-round or carousel. Who will be the next “brave soldier” to bring it up and “fight the system”?….. Yawn.

I agree with AntipodeanWN below, if everyone had their own places to be it would not even be an issue. That is the ideal to aim for.

They should have their own fashion shows, because the bottom line is that if black people ‘need’ to see black people modelling their clothes, that makes them ‘racist’. In fact, they are ‘racist’ for even noticing that blacks are not modelling their clothes in the first place. I thought we were supposed to be “colourblind” in this happy clappy age.

But perhaps the real truth of the matter is that black people are more inspired and more associated to the products fashioned by black people (because they can see themselves in it), whilst white people are more inspired and more associated to products fashioned by white people (because they can see themselves in it).

I went to by some underwear and new t-shirts a while ago, and in the three stores I went in to have a look, the whole range of men’s underwear was being advertised by muscular blacks. Not a white model to be found.

My gut reaction was that I did not want to buy them. It may sound absurd, but that was indeed the first reaction, like they were not for me. Given that it is often women who buy their husbands or boyfriends ‘smalls’, one wonders whether the choice of semi naked models is there to send off different signals in females.

When it comes to the long moan about a ‘lack of blacks’ in this or that sector like fashion models, that many historical fashion events and magazines pre-date the abundance of non-whites in Europe and America we see today, and given that they are, or were, our countries, I am with with RamzPaul on this one and say to them, ‘check your proximity’.

I will probably annoy AntipodeanWN now by adding that I have never found other races even remotely attractive. I know it has nothing to do with our cause and it does not really need to be said, but I only see beauty in my own racial group. Some of those can be munters at times, for sure, but at least they are our munters, lol.

  • William Krapek

I get tired of black models on Project Runway. One recently interjected herself into the story by making comments about a designer’s work.

Wear it and shut the frack up, Dear. Those people are under enough pressure.

  • William Krapek

Gay men… of a “special type” of White.

    :-/

  • OMGWTFLOLROTF

Clothes Models. Who gives a crap?

  • Whitetrashgang

Yeah these are not good looking black woman, they are white woman who still look good with some black in them.

  • Evette Coutier

I think people are forgetting that many black don’t get hired because they are a pain in the butt to work with.

    • MBlanc46

They’re all divas, even those completely lacking talent. Their overestimation of their abilities is monumental.

      • QuinnTheEskimo9

There is an overestimation of their looks too.
The only color the fashion industry cares about is GREEN and blacks don’t sell the fashion industry’s product well. Watch for screams calling for AA in the fashion industry.

  • Bossman

The last sentence of the article sums it up nicely. There are fewer and fewer women of color on the runways the because the models are becoming skinnier and skinnier.

    • CoweringCoward

Actually skinny as hell (short of emaciation), is the healthiest. Murine studies predict a doubling of life expectancy with a halving of caloric intake. Skinny girlies look hot because they are healthy, humans intuitively feel/know this. My little Swede is one of those lucky folks who NEVER gains an ounce, and it’s appreciated!

      • Bossman

It is not as simple as that. A caloric restrictive diet will make mice live longer. However, that only works if they are already fully grown. If we translate these findings to humans, it means that children and young growing adults, pregnant women and those that want to become pregnant should not do that. When women become too skinny, that can’t ovulate.

      • WR_the_realist

Calorie restricted mice live longest but I don’t think they’re as successful at breeding. While most men don’t care for obese women, most do appreciate women with some curves. There’s a biological reason for this.

Most men in the fashion industry are homosexuals. There’s no reason to expect that their taste in women would match that of heterosexual men.

        • Bossman

I believe very much much what you’ve written. Although this is never stated in explicit terms in the media..

  • MBlanc46

Thanks. That’s the name I was looking for.

  • pcmustgo

East Asian women are beautiful, yet I can’t think of a single famous East Asian model… there was that Devon Aoki, who is really not that beautiful.

  • pcmustgo

The deal is the days of the “supermodel” are gone anyways… it’s all russian women who basically are all inter-changeable and look the same on the runway. There are no famous models like they’re used to be in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s/

  • QuinnTheEskimo9

Identifies as black. Married two different white guys (maybe she wasn’t married to the first “babby daddy,” don’t know and don’t really care).

  • QuinnTheEskimo9

Go ahead and post it here. This is a white news and white issues site. White denigration is acceptable.

  • QuinnTheEskimo9

Black women are wider from side to side and thicker from front to back than white females. Black women are large all over.
Look at Diversity Awareness Brigade’s photos for proof.

  • QuinnTheEskimo9

I nominate this post as the thread winner.

  • Northerner

Toronto is diverse, but Canada on a whole is still solidly 80% white with its largest minority being Asian. Race relations aren’t nearly as volatile/strained as they are in the U.S. In fact, it’s not even comparable.

  • FransSusan

Blacks search for and hope for things, anything, to whine about and blame whitey! They’re ALWAYS seeking ways to extort money from whites! Just as the dead Martin kid’s parents found a way to use their dead kid to extort money from Zimmerman’s Home Owners’ Association. And the insanity is that whites always roll over and give them what they want. It’s just putrid! We whites must develop a back bone and stop giving in to the continuous politically correct zeitgeist that runs the country!

  • Germanacus

Again, and always, blacks see virtually everything in terms of race. Whites do not and do not recognize that blacks do this. Race matters to every race EXCEPT whites.

  • All humans are primates. Chimpanzees are also primates.

  • CharlesFinley

Groid females come last, world wide.

EsPECially when it comes to the preferences of groid males.

  • Junis

Afro-Americans fell into the Jewish trap that integrating with whites would be good for them. Jews themselves do not believe in mixing with non-Jewish westerners and they were preaching to black Americans that must do exactly that. Martin Luther King was a Zionist and Malcolm X was an anti-Zionist. Look at America now and black Americans own nothing and Jews simply own America. Israel did 9/11.

  • Bobbala

Reality always speaks loudest and last. It’s obvious, if given a choice, even black does not find black beautiful.

  • stewball

Her hair is certainly not white women’s hair. That’s no wig.

  • stewball

    @GeneticsareDestiny.
At least you knew I was talking about Walmart. I’ve only ever seen pictures of the really awful whites that go in there looking so very weird. I wish we had a Walmart here. So many cheap stuff to buy. Everything’s massive expensive here.
