Racist Madman to Rot

Laura Italiano, New York Post, March 9, 2013

You’re just a vicious racist, a Manhattan judge said in sentencing a psychotic gunman to 240 years in prison for holding 15 white patrons of an East Village wine bar hostage 10 years ago.

Steven Johnson—an AIDS-infected, unemployed Brooklyn barber—had burst into Bar Veloce on Second Avenue just before closing time on a June night in 2002, dousing everyone with kerosene and shouting, “White people are going to burn tonight!”

Steven Johnson

Steven Johnson

One decade, one mistrial and one overturned verdict later, Johnson was up to his old tricks again at his sentencing yesterday—ranting about the economic collapse and comparing himself to the great terrorists of yore.

“In closing, I’d just like to say, f—k you and suck my d—-,” he told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Daniel FitzGerald.

The judge had the last word. First he turned down Johnson’s crude oral application, telling the creep, “Your pro se motion is denied.”

Then he sentenced Johnson to 240 years to life.

“Mr. Johnson, you deluded yourself into believing not only that night, but even now, that you were and are a great man of some substance and significance,” the judge scolded.

“But in your 15 minutes of fame you proved to be no more than a malevolent and vicious racist. You accomplished nothing that night except instilling terror in the hearts of innocent, decent people, injuring some of them,” he added.

Johnson had non-fatally shot a passerby outside the bar, then a neighboring sushi chef who’d peeked inside to see what was going on and lastly one of the hostages as two ultimately subdued him.

{snip}

The sentence got the stamp of approval of Margret-Ann Gidley, who was a 23-year-old waitress at the East Village wine bar when she heroically made the first move to end the madman’s 40-minute standoff with the police.

Despite being bound at the wrists with plastic cuffs and covered in kerosene, Gidley jumped Johnson and hurled him to the floor after he started ranting about how no one would leave the bar except in a body bag.

This is why the Second Amendment and concealed carry is imperative in order to truly live fearlessly in America today.

    • Cheri Rodriguez

Too bad the First Amendment isn’t part of the New York Post anymore. They stopped allowing online comments (half of which were race realist) late last year.

    • Pelayo

It’s about to be retired to the scrap heap of history. One of those online suppliers has an Ad about using your tax refund to buy ammo. What ammo? There is none. One of them is posting expected availability in Oct 2013!

Even in gun friendly South Florida you can’t find a box of .22LR ,nor .38 SP nor .357Mag nor 9mm. The only thing left on the shelves are some odd rifle rounds and shot shells. Dicks, Gander Mountain, Wall Mart, nothing!

      • PesachPatriot

I was looking online at cheaper than dirt and all the 7.62 x 39 was all sold out….the wal mart in my town now has a 3 boxes of ammo per day per customer rule and the case is still almost always near empty(an employee told me some good old boys came in and put 11K worth on a credit card)….someone who bought 20K worth of ammo the day the mocha messiah took office now has 80-90K worth of ammo….in the last four years there has been better returns on copper, brass and lead than gold, silver, US treasury bonds, the NASDAQ, S&P, Dow Jones or crude oil….I joke with my friends that if some sort of civilization still exists here in four years every gun store in america will have giant bronze statues of obama in front as with a plaque reading “salesman of the century”. Buono fortuna in finding some ammo paisan

Reload it. I haven’t done any of this in almost 13 years, but I still have my old reloading notes. I used the 123-grain Hornady .310″ softnose in front of 25 grains IMR-4198 powder and a CCI-200 large rifle primer. This shot quite accurately, and cycled the actions of: my Russian SKS, Chinese SKS, Egyptian Rashid, an AK-47 and two AKMs. The Chinese SKS was always a bit picky about what would cycle it – the gas port was larger and thus the Chinese SKS needed slower-burning powders than the others – but this load always did the trick.

Another load I liked in 7.62mm X 39 was the 147-grain NATO .308″ FMJ-BT in front of 22 grains of the same powder and the same primer. This shot accurately as well, though seating depth of the bullet in the case was a bit tricky; it has to seat past the cannelure, but behind the start of the ogive.

I imagine the Israel Military Industries (IMI) or Winchester cases can still be mail-ordered relatively inexpensively in bulk. I used “Lock, Stock & Barrel” shooting supply out of Oklahoma, but they were eventually bought out by Midway, so I would try Midway online.

When you read stories like this it just becomes very clear that free will does not exist. He acted exactly like his psychopathic brain would allow.

    • Robert Binion

I am loath to give Him all the “credit.” What if divinity lies beyond our ken, an ancient monitor our mouse may not transcend? God and Darwin are not mocked.

      • FourFooted_Messiah

I don’t think he’s referring to any religious entities. How much DOES our genetics and our biochemistry affect us, and why should we somehow be more magically immune to such influences than other animal species?

Free will may well be an illusion, but not quite in the sense that Christians have been debating it for centuries. It’s a whole new ballgame now.

For the question of biochemistry is a lot more subtle than the theological questions. A god who is outside the universe cannot then help but see it as a completed film, or a long chunk of frozen ice, with every moment in time having already happened. He can review it, but can he edit?

But genes and other aspects of biochemistry … those are ongoing. We tend to ascribe every action of every other species to mere instinct/biochemistry, etc. But what makes humans different, if anything at all? The hubris here is the assumption that we are somehow different, as an a priori statement without backup evidence.

keep this in mind – Darwin called races “incipient species” for a reason. It means that a species with races is in the process of splitting. It takes time for the biological/physical breeding barriers to evolve, but until then, you have “RACISM” to make sure the “incipient species” don’t fold back into one species with one race (such species are usually considered evolutionary failures/dead ends!)

“Race” extends beyond mere looks to that very small variation in genes that make a race. Not only can that small variation change the looks of a population (compared to the “base” population), but it can also result in a change of thinking/mental universe.

No, I don’t think whites share the same mental universe as most other races. And this has nothing to do with “supremacy”. Of course, I choose my own race’s mental universe over anyone else’s. Isn’t that just “natural”? And humans cannot share the mental universe of other species. It’s a natural barrier between ALL species, and between all races within species.

And no, there’s nothing wrong with that, unless you are some sort of person who is leftist and doesn’t want to consider that human specialness comes from the hated mind-frame of judaeo-christianity. If you notice, please, that’s it’s OK to kill endangered whales as long as you are a non-white who can claim some spurious “cultural” reason to kill them (same goes for polar bears; bear is awful meat, rancid-tasting and fat-laden; it would have only been a desperation survival food. But Inuit are trying to defend their rights to kill polar bears (for monetary gain) on the basis that their ancestors “lived on it”.)

And yeah, I think the human species would be better off it was only one race. The one race that does seem to care about its planetary environment, the one race that might be one day conviced to stop killing its lessers in the name of fun, because that race can make entertaining substitutes (shooting robots, or totally immersive 3-D virtual world environments). The race that one day might actually be able to take hairy, horned, tailed, hoofed, long-snouted pointy-eared aliens at face value without immediately disintegrating them as “demons”, even if they are the most peaceful and technologically advanced species in the galaxy.

  • bigone4u

Johnson is just an extreme case of black’s imperative to blame whites for their personal problems. When it goes beyond mouthing off to each other, and into violence against whites, the true nature of black pathology is revealed for all to see. Liberals should take notice.

  • Triarius

Former criminal with AIDS and unemployed. Gee, what’s the race?
On a serious note, I with buck the trend and disagree with the judge. Yes this man should be in jail and never see the light of day. But we CANNOT allow judges to use racism when it comes to sentencing. Look at hate crime laws and how it affects whites. Soon a white guy will be getting a more jail time because he accidently struck a black kid playing in the street. In fact, he probably already does.

Send him to jail for life because he was holding people hostage and was going to kill people, not because of the races. That never ends well for our kind.

  • SargeInCharge

He said he wanted to see people burn. I say we set a mirror in front of him and grant him his wish.

He probably asked the judge for that favor knowing full well that he’ll be spending the next 240 years performing that action in the passive tense.

      • Pelayo

Blacks like him are why I am not sorry for Trayvon Martin or that 16-year-old black teenager in NYC that was shot for pulling a gun at cops.

      • freespeechzone

Trayvon got exactly what he deserved–his situation is exactly why more law-abiding people need to daily support and practice the Second Amendment.

    • Steven Bannister

Had it been a white man who held 15 blacks hostages, he would have been tried and sentenced within 2 weeks max.

      • Michael_C_Scott

It still would have taken a long time. A defendant and his lawyer can waive speedy trial rights if they want to claim the case is complicated. In a case like this, competency hearings and psych evaluations would have taken a lot of time.

  • Jss

What is honestly surprising to me is that he doesn’t have more public support. Thank God the idiot is likely to illiterate to right some “manifesto” about racism and social justice or we would never hear the end of him.

If a man (or in this case, an animal) warrants life in prison, it would be better to just put them DOWN. States with laws that prohibit execution deserve being forced to feed, clothe, entertain, and provide free health care at tax payer expense for life for these animals. Plea deals should NOT be allowed for these kinds of villains, and death should NOT be reserved for only murderers, but for those, like this guy, who can NEVER be salvaged or of use to a civilized society.

    • Bantu_Education

Its expected lifespan in captivity is much longer than it would be in the wild. Just another cross that whites have to bear.

      • FourFooted_Messiah

Another piece of human hypocricy. If he had been a dog who merely bit someone for trespassing, he’d be dead years ago.

  • guest

“I started yelling, ‘Shoot him!’ I kept yelling it for what seemed like forever,” she cried on the stand in December, recalling the moment she tackled Johnson and cops finally stormed the place.

“Then one of the officers shot him, and he stopped moving . . . and I yelled, ‘Shoot him again.’ ”

And this is why Obama is so hot to ban guns. Disarmed people, like the whites in this bar, can be ethnic cleansed, because they are at the mercy of police assistance, and that can always be cut back or withheld. In this case, the police sniper made the hostages wait before deciding to shoot. He was making a calculation, what’s more important, the risk to burning whites alive vs. the risk of killing this demon. The demon’s life had enough value to put the whites at risk, obviously. They didn’t shoot him repeatedly, because, again, they did not want to risk killing this demon if it might be avoided, even if that incurred additional risk to a bar full of whites.

I’m sure any of us amren readers would have squeezed the trigger the moment we had sight picture on this demon, but the police don’t want to be too hasty. Who care about whites burning alive? More important to save a demon’s life.

Obviously this white woman had fighting spirit, but she was mostly helpless because she lacked fighting tools. Everyone knows the gun laws will apply only to whites, and once whites are disarmed they cannot survive a brown invasion.

    • ms_anthro

Only a tyrant wants to disarm peaceable people. The only reason to disarm a peaceable person is so you can do things to them that you can’t do if they can shoot back. What sorts of things? A quick study of human history makes it obvious.

      • Gunrunner1

Bon, do you know if the Washington, Jefferson support photo you posted is available in T-shirt form? I’d love to order one and wear it proudly!
ESPECIALLY with Obama’s picture lumped in with the other tyrants as supporting gun control.

          • Bon, From the Land of Babble

LoL, don’t know of any t-shirts. I certainly couldn’t wear one like that at my school — only if it sang praises Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Castro and obama (not Hitler, though!!).

They’re pushing for gun control, that will mostly screw over whites, while trying to give more power to blacks and mexicans and they are overtly showing their disdain more and more for whites at every level. I wonder when–not if–most whites will push back hard? Something has got to give.

    • mike

Wrong, the laws will apply to all, but be obeyed largely by whites. I remember over 30 years ago, when concealed carry in Detroit was illegal and required jail, talking to a Detroit cop who said every car of blacks they stopped on a Saturday night had guns yet they did nothing. Basically you can only put so many people at once in the pen. Blacks don’t care. They aren’t afraid of prison, do well in the environment, don’t want to work anyhow and are too stupid too get ahead. Just how to heck are we going to compete with an attitude like this in trying to survive. Well, I have finally decided that no matter what the law says I am never going to give up my guns and if they are found and taken, I’ll do what blacks do, get one illegally.

finally, a judge I can agree with and be proud of.

    • Geno

Not me. If this kneegrow had been a Caucasian of gentile European extraction the judge would have sentenced him to death.

      • A Judge can’t pass that sentence that isn’t legal. There is no death penalty for that man’s crimes as he did not actually kill anyone.

  • Ronald

“Then he sentenced Johnson to 240 years to life.”

Let’s hope the “justice” system means what it says, this time. All to often the next time we hear of these “lifers”, they are back on the street doing the same thing they were sent to prison for.

    Ronald

    • Michael_C_Scott

Barring a pardon, Johnson will have to serve half his sentence before being eligible for a parole hearing: 120 years. Since he already has AIDS, I doubt he’s going to last that long.

  • Snowhitey

“The sentence got the stamp of approval of Margret-Ann Gidley, who was a

Perhaps there is some truth to Alex Jones’ repeated statements that (white) men have been emasculated in this country. Although he doesn’t mention race, I believe it applies mostly to white men.

The biggest story here for me is this judge. What kind of speech is this? you’re talking to a primitive-functioning individual as if he were a Mensa candidate. I guess the judge also likes speaking to walls:

What was the judge expecting him to say at that point? “Gee, Judgey, your eloquent colloquy has convinced me of the error of my ways.”??

    • FourFooted_Messiah

I don’t think it matters, if the gist of the speech got through.

      But maybe it didn’t.

My training method with my cat includes speaking plain English and explanations and stuff that I don’t really expect her to understand fully, but she always seems to get the gist (“Mom is saying it’s wrong for me to jump on the table”). I only resort to physical cues (pushing, finger-wagging, silly stuff like that) if she’s being belligerent; all that does is remind her that I’m bigger than she is, so what I say is going to go. Then she gives me a “look”, but I don’t have a problem with bad behaviour after that.

All in all, I’ve had success … with a cat.

Is my cat really smarter than these African AIDS-ridden “sapient apes”? Nothing seems to correct them, at least, nothing short of the stick that follows when the carrots or velvet gloves don’t work.

I’m truthfully inclined to think so.

      • MBlanc46

No, your cat’s not smarter. But it sounds as if you use consistent discipline with your cat and she understands it. The same is not so with the Afro-American population. We threaten them with severe punishment, but then don’t impose it. Charges are dropped or reduced. They serve three years of a ten-year sentence. They think that the criminal justice system is a game that they can beat.

  • DudeWheresMyCountry?

The real news here is that a judge referred to a Black man as a racist. That might be the first time ever.

    • Bantu_Education

Yes that absolutely floored me too. He will be noted down in the law records as a “probable racist” and, assuming he is not immediately demoted for such outrageous heresy, he almost certainly has lost any chance of promotion to any Supreme Court or whatever.

    • guest

It is commendable that the judge, unlike so many in the “justice” system, acknowledged him as the racist that he is, but why only send him to prison for the rest of his life? Someone that dangerous deserves the death sentence.

      • SargeInCharge

While I agree with your sentiment, New York does not have the death penalty.

      • Michael_C_Scott

Even with an official death penalty, Johnson would be locked up an additional ten years or more before he exhausted all his appeals. Technically, however this goon does have the death penalty; I imagine AIDS will finish him off. I also suspect that dying of AIDS in a maximum-security prison under 23 hour lockdown would be a pretty miserable way to go. His AIDS infection is already more than 10 years old, so various cancers have probably established themselves quite nicely.

All of this makes the needle he won’t be getting seem rather appealing by comparison.

    • Luis

      That is indeed noteworthy.

  • MobyWhite

        • Sloppo

Any white man who does not support policies intended to cause the extinction of our race and civilization fits the working definition of a “racist”. I’d rather people think of me as a “racist” than for them to think I don’t care about my children’s future.

“Too bad the First Amendment isn’t part of the New York Post anymore. They stopped allowing online comments (half of which were race realist) late last year”.

In all honesty, some of the ‘race realist’ comments are so dumb, or irrelevant, or, in my opinion, so counterproductive, that all they do is make us look bad. I gotta admit, however, I’m not really a race realist. If you want to promote your cause it would be a good idea to have spokesmen who have at least Some idea of how the larger world thinks and behaves.

It really comes as no surprise, once it became apparent there were so many race realists out there, or just unhappy people leaving these posts, it’s no surprise leftists or just ‘concerned citizens’ would begin writing ‘race realist’ comments too but in such a way as to embarrass race realists. There’s a place for satire and parody but that place shouldn’t be every other post, and it should be obvious parody and not something illicit. The pages on these newspaper forums just become a cacaphony. I still make my posts, however.

  • FourFooted_Messiah

10 years to finally get this guy a sentence? I thought our justice system is lousy. Well, it is, but damn. At least he’ll never get out of jail with a double life sentence (240 years in jail + AIDS).

And kudos for the lady in the last couple paragraphs – that’s pretty brave.

And good on the judge for calling a spa … a racist a racist, even though he isn’t white. 😛

    (a) anything containing a controlled drug;(b) the keys of anything containing a controlled drug;(c) the keys of any place or premises or any part thereof in which a controlled drug is found; or(d) a document of title relating to a controlled drug or any other document intended for the delivery of a controlled drug,

shall, until the contrary is proved, be presumed to have had that drug in his possession.”

Furthermore, any person who has a controlled drug in his possession shall be presumed to have known the nature of that drug.[citation needed]

It would also be interesting to note that Singapore has one of the
lowest prevalence of drug abuse worldwide. Over two decades, the number
of drug abusers arrested each year has declined by two-thirds, from over
    6,000 in the early 1990s to about 2,000 in 2011. [17]

Yet people whine about how ‘mean’ white countries are. We kiss too much ass and are way to nice to these animals.

And then this idiot tripe from http://www.talkleft.com/story/2012/12/2/163626/300

“Back to Singapore, why people want to visit a country where it is
illegal to chew gum in public or jaywalk, and subject themselves to some
of the most draconian penalties on the planet is beyond me.”

“Comparing himself to the great terrorists of yore.”

Those terrorists actually had political or religious goals (of course the politicization of religion often makes this distinction blurry). Menachem Begin wanted the British out of Palestine. The Provisional IRA wanted the British out of Northern Ireland. The Loyalist Volunteer Force and Ulster Volunteer Force wanted the Catholics out of Northern Ireland. Timothy McVeigh wanted to make the federal government understand that burning women and children alive at Waco was not acceptable. Groups like the Symbionese Liberation Army, the Red Brigade, the Baader-Meinhoff gang, the Japanese Red Army Faction, FARC and the Shining Path wanted a socialist revolution. Al Qaeda wants a global caliphate and global imposition of Sharia law. Hamas wants Jews expelled from Israel. The Basque ETA wants independence from Spain. The Corsican FLNC wants independence from France. The Kurdish PKK wants independence from Turkey. Abortion clinic bombers understand they’ll never get the votes to have abortion banned, and so try to intimidate doctors into doing different work.

Johnson, on the other hand appears to have been motivated by nothing more than ego-gratification. In other words, he’s merely a self-absorbed, psychopathic punk with delusions of grandeur and not any sort of “terrorist” at all.
