New York City Schools Offer Morning-After Pills at 13 Schools

Huffington Post, September 24, 2012

The New York City Department of Education is making the morning-after-pill available to high school girls at 13 public schools.

The department says girls as young as 14 will be able to get the Plan B emergency contraception without parental consent.

The city says about 7,000 girls get pregnant by the time they reach the age of 17. It says more than half choose to get an abortion.

NYC schools already distribute free condoms to students.

This is bad news for those who have moral standards and residual Christian faith and fear of God, but really, who of us will complain of a slight victory for Margaret Sanger’s eugenics war against Diversity?

I wish God would solve our problems for us, but looks like the hard work falls to the schools…

    • B

The morning after pill is far more moral than bringing unwanted babies into a poverty level negative environment.

I approve.  Yes, it might be frustrating from a personal standpoint that we have to pay for these things ourselves and they get them for free.  But if they don’t get these things, the consequences are a burden on us for 18 years, and usually longer.

I bet these 13 schools are the blackest 13 high schools in New York.

    • The argument I have made is about the ethics of making consequence free sex free of charge for certain end users because of their politically preferred status.  Why should 11-year olds in Philadelphia get condoms mailed to them for free when 35-year old here has to go somewhere and buy them?

The reason I would govern against my instincts and support schemes like this in spite of myself is that I can justify giving condoms and pills away for free to high school students in New York while  having to pay for them myself is that I can afford all the consequences of sex, from an emotional standpoint, the perhaps disease standpoint, and the nine months later standpoint, and any woman with whom I would have sex could very likely do the same, i.e. I’m not likely to take up with women who can’t.  By contrast, the sex of 14-year olds in New York City does very likely result in consequences that we, including I, have to pay for for a very long time, because they, the 14-yos, can’t possibly handle them.  Too, unlike many 14-year olds in New York City, I seem to have the ability to delay gratification.

So my choice is this:  Either whine and moan and bitch on the internet about some abstract ethics while having to pay for EBT cards for 18+ years, or forget about my stupid theory and give ’em all the prophylactics they want so I don’t have to pay for an EBT card. One plus is that with their contraceptives, the Trayvons won’t even be conceived, and I don’t have to worry about the moral quandary of aborting them.

Only first world people care about ethics.  You need a developed frontal lobe.  Most public high school students in New York who have sex aren’t first world nor have much of a developed frontal lobe.  You, the 35-year old suburban dweller, as I know you’ve called yourself, can have all the ethics you want, but they’re useless when we’re engaged in a low level (mostly) non-shooting war against third world lumpens who couldn’t spell “ethics” much less look it up in a dictionary much less adhere to them.

I bet these 13 schools are the blackest 13 high schools in New York.

If so, then watch for the screams of “discrimination” and “genocide” to begin.

  • The__Bobster

I’m betting a lot of these sheboonettes are too dumb to know how to take the pills properly.

    • bluffcreek1967

Yes, I think that’s the clincher here. Most of them will probably forget to take the pill in the first place, and so they will be back to square one in trying to resolve the issue again.

    • The biggest factor of human error in ‘contraceptive failiure’ is drunkenness in the morning.

The pill is ineffective for people following certain lifestyles.

  • B

Sure beats paying for a lifetime of welfare or building more prisons.

  • Defiant White

Well, Pilgrim, they don’t call it the Naked City for nothing do they?

44% of the city’s population is white so I’d guess 44% of students are white and most of those are safe in private schools.  That means the pills are servicing the reamaining dung heap of minorities in public schools

Where can I donate to this most worthy cause?

    • the students would be less as there are a lot of white gays/lesbians in NYC and anyone with 1/2 a brain would move out of NYC to raise kids.

      • Puggg

Wikipedia about NYCDE (the public schools):

In 2007, Hispanics and Latino students made up 39.4% of the student
population. African Americans made up 32.2% of the student population.
White American and Asian American students made up 14.2% and 13.7% of
the student populace respectively. Native Americans made up the
remaining 0.4% of the student body.

        • Defiant White

14%?   That’s more than I thought and far too many.  The white population in NYC is listed as 44% so if we assume that applies to children as well, that means that 30% are not in public schools while 14% are.

That makes sense given that the white poverty rate nationwide is around 15%

Sad to think of any white child caught in that monster.

  • Oh please, the only way you can get these kids to take the pill would be to tell them that it gets them “high.”  Even then you would have to show them a video of Beyonce caterwauling about “berf” control.

  • No worries, michelle obammabah’s  concentration camp lunch program will leave kids too weak for sex, thus no need for the pills or the condoms they hand out

    • Puggg

About that, I’m so proud that young white people, especially young white men, are getting fed up.

I happen to agree with the theory (H/T QD) that Michelle Obama’s obsession over food is a function of her being a black woman, and that many black women reach a stage in their lives when they balloon just by looking at food.  To put it another way, it’s no loss to her if football playing teenage white boys don’t get enough calories in rabbit food lunches to be functional, because she’s not a football playing teenage white boy.  But she is a black woman, worried about black girls eating correctly.

If you are young person involved in an aerobic-intensive sport, then the fast feeder super value meal including a regular soda is actually very good from a fuel standpoint.

      • I came up with that observation last year after having to be in a place where I had no choice but to observe a lot of high school students.  I don’t know where Blackie O is getting off saying that all these teenagers are obese, because all I saw were a bunch of rail thin waifs who will spontaneously disappear if they lose even one pound of weight.  With one exception:  Black girls, about a third of them were grossly obese, another third seemingly healthy, and the other third thin but not wafer thin.

      •  Michelle had few choices when it came to picking a crusade, black hair, black child abuse/murder, black prison rates,  black drop out rates and food. She picked the one that would help her the most.

  • If this cuts down the number of future Democrat voters, it has my support.

  • APaige

‘Available’…heck just in case make it mandatory. I must be old,  at 14 I still thought girls had the ‘kooties’ (SP?), now they have VD.

  • More proof that continued sex indoctrination does not make young people less interested in sex or “more prepared.” New York City has been offering condoms in schools for how long now? And yet, the pregnancy rate continues to be at sky high rates.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

Morning-After pills OK —  but NO aspirin, asthma inhalers or 32 oz. Big Gulps!!

But, maybe this way a few overbreeding lefties will be removed from the gene pool.

  • AmericanTaxPayerNoMore

As long as these are for non-whites and miscegenating whites, all is good.  Yes, I’m pro-choice when it comes to non-whites.  I can’t have these people in charge of me when I become Senior.

  • KenelmDigby

The NYC schools seem unable to teach their charges to read or write, but seem to have no problem in teaching them how to copulate.

    • Puggg

Who has to teach sex?  It’s instinctive in organisms that procreate using sexual reproduction.  Fleas can have sex.  What you have to teach to people who can understand it is resisting urges.

  • bubo

I would rather see forced sterilization   But it’s a start.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

Jay, in the school district where I teach, students are allowed at age 13 and up, to sign themselves out of school to receive an abortion, birth control or STD treatment WITHOUT PARENT CONSENT.

For no other reason are they ever allowed to leave the campus without parent permission.

This is THE LAW in the state of California — I am reminded about it at teachers meetings all the time.  One local clinic will even send a van to pick up students, for “free,” of course.

  • Puggg

If they don’t, then we can make barrier method implant surgery free of charge, and in fact, offer a cash inducement.

  • They should also give out cigarettes for the post coital “afterglow”…

Oh ! They can’t ! This is “Nanny Bloomberg’s” New York City after all…

  • Pearl

Morning after pills are not “dangerous pills that induce early abortions and that could have serious side effects”- they are a strong dose of hormones that prevent either fertilization or implantation of the egg when used within 48 hours of unprotected sex.  They are known to make the patient tired and a little nauseous, but that’s about it.
You are correct that condoms were supposed to be a panacea for this- they were introduced in the schools for the prevention of STD’s.  It was hoped that preventing teenage pregnancy would be a happy side effect.  However, this was introduced by people who were not very “culturally aware”- they weren’t privy to the common knowledge that black and hispanic men will NOT use condoms, as they insist it’s an affront to their manhood.  This is universal ghetto wisdom.

  • “The city says about 7,000 girls get pregnant by the time they reach the age of 17. It says more than half choose to get an abortion.”

Why not sterilise them before they’re pregnant instead? Reproductive choice must go!

  • Yea, no excuse for most ‘unwanted babies’ or abortions. As usual, people white knighting for people with sob stories is responsible for failure to take action. What is needed is a crackdown on the lifestyles and values underlying the problem.

  • “Parental consent not required.”

Don’t you see how this would be bad for whites? Things like that aren’t going to be applied by race and people from other neighbourhoods would use the system.
