Greece: 6,000 Detained During Raids on Immigrants

Nicholas Paphitis, Core Comm, August 6, 2012

Authorities in Greece are rounding up thousands of suspected illegal immigrants in a large-scale deportation drive to combat what a government official compared to a prehistoric invasion.

Greece has long been Europe’s main entry point for illegal immigrants from Asia and Africa seeking a better life in the West. But Greece’s severe economic problems and high unemployment are making the problem worse than ever.

Police said Monday that 6,000 people were detained over the weekend in Athens in a massive operation incongruously named after the ancient Greek god of hospitality, Zeus Xenios.

Officers across the city were seen stopping mostly African and Asian people in the street for identification checks. Most were only briefly detained, but about 1,600 were arrested for illegally entering Greece and sent to holding centers pending deportation.

Left-wing opposition parties criticized the crackdown, while the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees voiced concern that migrants from war-torn countries and genuine asylum-seekers could be denied the right of protection.

The uncontrolled influx, which coincided with a recent spike in crime, contributed to the sharp rise of an extreme-right political party which uses aggressive rhetoric against immigrants.

Once beyond the pale of Greek politics, the extreme right Golden Dawn gained nearly 7 percent of the vote in parliamentary elections six weeks ago. {snip}

Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias said Monday the rounding-up of illegal immigrants would continue, arguing that their unchecked entry has brought Greece “to the brink of collapse.”

“The country is being lost,” he told private Skai TV. “What is happening now is (Greece’s) greatest invasion ever. Since the Dorian invasion some 3,000 years ago, the country has never received such a flow of immigration.”

Go GD!  You don’t have to win, you just have to make a showing and scare these traitors!

I have no doubt that the large scale immigration is contributing to Greece’s economic problems but it appears that the politicians (at least the one cited in the article) are blaming immigrants for the economy in order to deflect blame from the government.

    •  Well, it would be nice to get rid of the communists also.

What is their option, just let the Africans come in and take everything?

    • Rocky Bass,

Africans would NEVER do that! I am certain that only Africans with highly specific job skills and advanced degrees in hard sciences are coming in. These folks are only coming because of the tremendous contributions they would otherwise be depriving Greece  and the larger west of.

    1. The spike in crime only coincided with the influx but wasn’t
    influenced by it, right?
    2. The “aggressive rhetoric” probably goes something like this: “There
seems to be a direct correlation between immigration and crime. Plus, there may
not be enough jobs and resources in Greece
right now to handle so many refugees.”

  • Since the Dorian Invasion.  I like how they’re able to talk about it in those terms.  Hopefully they can save their civilization.

    Go Greeks!

TPTB tried to send a message by destroying that pretty triple jumper. It won’t work. Her only mistake was apologizing.

    • Rocky Bass,

I sure don’t mind seeing this babes lines anywhere! I imagine that if we worked a little thinking into the games, her ilk would blow away all the diversity’s that are dominating the physical only fantasy world of the Olympics.

Those Africans sure dont like staying in Africa, do they. Where are we going to find them next, Antarctica? They are so alien to all other races. Only Africa fits them. Anywhere else and they are like fish out of water.

Except that they don’t so much swim as sink like rocks.

      • Rocky Bass,

NQS- Non-Qualified-Swimmer, I remember it well, it was a very “black thing” in basic.

One confession I must make, during swim qualification for 3rd class, I drifted over to the pool wall during “survival floatation” and pushed off with a hand… Whistle and I went NQS! So i was there the next day to see an ocean of blackness.

“Left-wing opposition parties criticized the crackdown, while the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees voiced concern that migrants from war-torn countries and genuine asylum-seekers could be denied the right of protection.”
This old lie.  Genuine refugees should seek asylum in the nearest safe country, not travel all the way to Europe.  Turkey sluices its fellow Muslims through to Greece (the gateway to Western Europe where the handouts are good) instead of housing them as refugees.  Africans could just as easily seek refuge in African countries, but again, no free housing, no handouts, no cushy lifestyle.

The Greeks seem to have some balls. No French or German politician would talk this blunt. It’s possible they could be the 1st W european  Country to cut  non-White immigration. They could(possibly) influence the rest of Europe.

Always remember Gause’s Competitive Exclusion Principle:

The principle that when two species compete for the same critical resources within an environment, one of them will eventually outcompete the other. The displaced species may become locally extinct, by either migration or death, or it may adapt to a sufficiently distinct niche within the environment so that it continues to coexist noncompetitively with the displacing species.

This principle is also called Gause’s law and it holds for human races. Again, we don’t need years of analytical studies to prove this holds for two subspecies within the same species (wolves and dogs) including human races of people.

When two groups of people are of the same race and only differ ethnically, Germans and the English for example, assimilation is relatively easy. Not so for Africans and Swedes. In this instance Gause’s Law kicks in.

Only when you keep racial aliens in very small numbers within your geographic borders can they be tolerated to some degree. Let their numbers begin to reach parity within the host population and the racial death spiral begins to accelerate.

Best news I’ve heard in a while. Go Greece! It’s spreading, first Israel, now Greece, who’s next? Western nations are starting to wake up beginning to do what’s necessary to survive, and the EU, UN, leftists, “human rights” groups, etc, be damned.

  • MarcusTrajanus

“Why don’t they go to China? Saudi Arabia?” Because those countries wouldn’t let them in, let alone give them the standard of living they have come to believe they deserve.

  • MarcusTrajanus

But White people stole all their resources during the days of colonialism, it’s our fault they are poor, so letting them come here and giving them everything they desire is the least we can do. At least that’s what I remember learning as a child in school. I didn’t buy it even then. But I did have first hand experience with the Third World and had been raised racially conscious, unlike most of my peers.

    • KenelmDigby

Greece never had any third world colonies (at least in modern times).
Greece was colonized itself for hundreds of years.

  • MarcusTrajanus

    Hopefully Italy will follow Greece.

  • MarcusTrajanus

It’s great to see how easy this can be done. Just tell the police to stop everyone who doesn’t look Greek and ask for their papers, and if they can’t show they are in the country legally, arrest them. Just like that 6000 invaders are detained and the message is sent to the rest (even the “legal” ones) that they are not wanted in Greece.

  • MarcusTrajanus

I don’t like Golden Dawn’s Nazi leanings, but I’m glad they’ve scared the government into doing something about the invasion at last.

  • KenelmDigby

Unfortunately, it took an economic and general societal meltdown to actually knock some common sense into Greek political heads.
If the crisis had never happened, massive third world immigration and race replacement of Greeks would have continued apace unremarked and unchecked – in actual fact the long term effect of continuing mass third world immigration would have been infinitely worse than the economic crisis. Financial crises come and go – genetic destruction lasts forever.
