Early Primaries Could Shift Focus to Immigration

Seth McLaughlin, Washington Times, August 8, 2011

The prospect of Arizona moving up its presidential primary next year has Republican leaders concerned that an early focus on immigration would detract from what many see as the GOP’s 2012 trump card–President Obama’s handling of the economy.

With most states’ primaries settled, the 2012 scheduling is far less contentious than in 2008. But Arizona, Florida and Michigan are still among those flirting with jumping ahead, despite warnings from Republican National Committee officials that they’ll lose delegates to the GOP national convention.

Still, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, is leaning toward moving the state’s primary election to Jan. 31, arguing that it would help ensure that illegal immigration gets more than lip service in the nomination process.

“There is no question that illegal immigration can be a controversial topic, but it is something that Gov. Brewer thinks is worth addressing and is of national significance and importance to be addressed,” said Matthew Benson, her spokesman. “It is easy for candidates to talk in generalities about their support of a secure border, it is something more when they have to lay out specifically how they would accomplish–and specifically what they’d like to do. That is really the biggest reason the governor would like to make sure that Arizona is toward the front of this process in 2012.”

While it is certain that Republican presidential candidates eventually will have to address the nation’s broken immigration system, political pundits say that rehashing Arizona’s tough immigration law, which Mrs. Brewer signed last year but which has been halted by federal courts, could prove a headache for a GOP field.

“The last thing the party really needs is a sustained debate that alienates Hispanic voters,” said John Feehery, a GOP strategist.

Alfonso Aguilar, a former Bush administration official who runs the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, said most Hispanics dislike the Arizona law, and focusing on it during a primary would be dangerous to the GOP.

“Whatever they say in the primary, in the debates, in interviews, will be heard by Latino voters, and if they come out with positions that are seen as anti-immigrant, that is going to hurt them in the general election,” Mr. Aguilar said. “Not only hurt them, that will guarantee they lose in the general election.”

Republicans want to have their cake and eat it too. In a nation where the interests of white, black, and brown are in conflict, somebody has to be alienated.

It won’t matter what party is in office if we become a third-world nation. And, if illegal immigration continues, we will.

Message to John Feehery: Please join the Democratic Party. You illegal immigrant loving “Republicans” have already alienated White voters.

I expect nothing else from the Republican party. The only goal of the Republican leadership is electing Republicans. It functions to absorb and dissipate any serious ideological opposition to the Democrats. A vote for a Republican is a wasted vote.

My God, these idiots feel they are already at the mercy of Mexicans, yet they refuse to address the issue of illegal aliens, and border security. Anything to stay in power no matter who they have to grovel to. What are you fools going to do when whites are the minority and these Mexicans outnumber us completly? Hand them over the country if only they will vote for you? Pathetic, spineless traitors is what they are, and I’ve found myself feeling more contempt for Republicans than Democrats as of late.

This will never happen unless jobless Blacks in this country can be convinced that illegal immigration is keeping them out of work. How would the liberal media label an unemployed Black man “racist” who wants to put an end to illegal Mexicans taking their jobs?

What a tool! If he’s mouthing that crap then I suspect he’s not so much a GOP strategist as a crypto-lobbyist for big business who wants more cheap labor.

I’m a Canuck, so I can’t say I have a good understanding of the American electoral system, but if you get the white vote, don’t you win the election? How about for once, doing something in the interests of the white (tax paying) voters?

I’m sick of spineless cadidates who will not speak the truth on illegal immigration. For the past three decades, our government has allowed the invasion of our country by, primariy, people frm south of our border. They knew it was wrong, but when their big contributors learned they could hire cheap labor, they ignored their fellow Americans and went for the bottom line. Now, those wanting to belly up to the public trough hide behind platitudes and are scared to say we need to use every tool we have to send illegals home and to place a moratorium on ALL immigration until Americans have jobs and we return to a prosperous nation.

I’d like to think AZ and FL making their primaries earlier would lead to an immigration restrictionist nominee. However, remember who won the AZ and FL primaries in 2008.

In fact, McCain’s in in Florida, a relatively early state in 2008, was the inflection point that won him the nomination. While he did not mathematically win the nomination after winning Florida, the way the cookie crumbled meant that he virtually did, that opposing him after Florida was quixotic.

This is the same John McCain who said a few days ago at a town hall meeting that not only was he not going to apologize for calling Tea Party movement activists “hobbits,” he actually reiterated.

Total denial. Repullicans first and foremost represent big companies and Agribusiness who want endless cheap labor.

Anyone who does not see that is no smarter than the Blacks rioting in England.because if you believe Repulicans are going to stop illegal immigration you have a low IQ, period.

The excellent immigration website Americanpatrol.com has an article up today, announcing that Rick Perry – another globalist, open borders loving, white genocide promoting, NAFTA and NAU supporting RINO planning to throw his phony Cowboy hat into the ring for Prez in 2012.

Perry intends to come out in favor of Amnesty. White Genocide. White Race Replacement inside our own native homelands, people.

Look at the UK. Look at these flash mobs and how they are singling out whites for attacks. Look at how Hollywood is cranking out movies like ‘Machete’ and ‘Inglorious Basterds’ and the upcoming ‘Django Unchained’ – movies that deliberately try to incite minority violence against the White European founding stock of this nation.

Anyone who’s white who supports Rick Perry supports minority violence against their own people and supports white genocide.

Wise up, White man. Our #1 priority has to be to purge from the ranks of our political representation any white politician who refuses to defend and promote the legitimate ethnic interests of the White majority.

All Americans should be made aware that 87% of African Americans hate the illegal Mexican invasion, and are fully cognizant that politicians on both sides have acted in a treasonous manner that has cost Black Americans, most of the advancements that it has taken them centuries to attain. Note that black youth see the political bias towards these invading foreigners that has put at least 10 Spanish-speaking TV channels on our English-speaking airways. They see hispanics of all ilks, teens and adults, working while there is up to 60% unemployment among black youth in many area of our nation. They see our politicians giving governmental positions and American tax dollars to the children of illegal aliens while their black parents can’t get work or their jobs are taken away to pay for the advancement of these illegal foreigners. But, the most incendiary aspect of this treasonous situation is that Black youngsters are forced to share the same schools with Mexican gang members who have been known to require the rape or the death of a black person as an initiation gang ritual. Is there any wonder that the black kids at the bottom are forming flash mobs. White and black treasonous politicians and corporations have made sure that black underclass and disenfranchised youth have enough resentment and time on their hands to express their rage. And their is also resent among white youth. We now have the highest incidence of white youth unemployment every recorded in American history!

The GOP sold out White Republicans a long time ago. Too bad most conservative Whites won’t wake up to that fact. They are all giddy about the debate and who won it and who lost. They are ALL losers when it comes to securing this nation for the White race as the Founders intended.

I want to vomit every time Beck, Hannity, Levin etc. even talk about the Founders, the Constitution, etc. They have disgraced the Constitution and the memory of our Founders through their lying and their deliberate omission of WHO this country was founded for. Their own progeny.

When are they going to be held accountable for their DELIBERATE agenda to never mention this FACT?
