Attorney General Eric Holder described the United States Wednesday as a nation of cowards on matters of race, saying most Americans avoid discussing awkward racial issues. In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, Holder said, but “we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race.”
He urged people of all races to use Black History Month as a chance for honest discussion of racial matters, including issues of health care, education, and economic disparities.

Even when people mix at the workplace or afterwork social events, Holder argued, many Americans in their free time are still segregated inside what he called “race-protected cocoons.”
“Saturdays and Sundays, America in the year 2009 does not in some ways differ significantly from the country that existed almost 50 years ago. This is truly sad,” said Holder.

Give me a break! You want me to speak openly and honestly about race in America? How long do I have before I have to pack up my belongings and leave my job? There is no public outlet for honest discourse, short of sites like this; but alas, I’m sure big brother is watching.
I agree with AG Holder. And I also think that American Renaissance, the New Century Foundation and the Council of Conservative Citizens fall under the non-cowardly category, in that they are all willing to engage in honest dialogue about race.
But honest dialogue is that AG Holder doesn’t want. He wants a monologue — us evil white people are going to get told the way it’s going to be.
Why is the attorney general using his new office as a platform for something that is not in his job description? Oh I forgot he is black; he can say and do whatever he wants and no one will say anything.
Cowardice starts at work when you have an Affirmative Action meeting and you fail to defend your culture.
I bet he has no idea just how right he is, at least about whites.

I work at a school in Kansas, and this week there are all kinds of posters on campus that talk about domestic violence and rape. They say that a certain number of women in college are raped…They say that some percentage of rapes are planned ahead of time, etc, etc.
Of course what they don’t say is anything about race. For example: don’t you think it would be important to know that a recent study concluded that there were approximately 15,000 black on white rapes each year; versus 900 white on black rapes?
And yes, I am a coward for not bringing that up. But if I dared bring it up someone might think I was a racist, and then bye bye tenure!
Did it ever occur to Holder than people might prefer self-segregation? Or that freedom of association is part of living in a free societ? Or that he is overstepping his authority in using his position as Attorney Geneeral to preach his own beliefs that others might not share?
He urges for an honest discussion on racial matters….but somehow I doubt it’s honest opinions he’s actually looking for.
No, he wants whites to talk about how racist they are, and what they are doing wrong and what they can do to make things better for blacks.
And then he talks about accepting criticism, again he’s most likely talking about white racism, and not about blacks accepting some criticism that they might be the ones that needs to shape up, if they want to be equal.
It would be very interesting if he was actually honest though, in wanting a real honest debate, about how things really look and why they look the way they do.
I’ve always been willing to discuss race and I particularly enjoy talking about school test scores, police and fire test scores, crime rates, mortgage default rates, and welfare statistics. My efforts to have an honest discussion is almost always met with “the differences are cultural and to think otherwise is racist”.
Let’s not give up however. Let’s invite all the libs to come on AmRen and have a frank discussion regarding race.
Perhaps it would be wise to allow all to pick their own friends without the social engineers involving themselves.
As far as an honest discussion on race? How can you have an honest discussion on race when whites are called racists as soon as they open their mouths?
But guys like Holder have made it impossible for whites to engage in an honest discussion. What if a white person was really honest, like Jared Taylor, would his thoughts be treated with respect? Would his thoughts be welcome at universities and in the work place? What if the person said they think diversity causes stress and disunity? What if a person objected to affirmative action, calling it nothing more than a license to discriminate against whites? What if a person said they prefer to live in a white neighborhood because they see high crime rates, poor schools, trash, and low property values in black neighborhoods? Would Holder thank him for engaging in honest discussion?
Most likely these discussions would earn you a visit to the Human Resources Department where a black person would then try to fire you for creating a hostile work environment.
He is right but probably not in the way he thinks he is. I think everybody on Amren is willing to talk about race but are the first ones to be told to shut up.
He means we whites should accept criticism. Any criticism of blacks is racist, remember? The fact is if I were honest with blacks during black history month or any other month I would be ostracised and branded all kinds of ugly things. As for segregating I remember in highschool how all of the blacks sat at their own lunch tables and hung out together. No one made them do this or shunned them. The only time they made any attempt to have contact with whites was to hit on blonde girls or on the sports teams that they were all a part of.

On the contrary, we talk too much about race. The reason this dialogue is unproductive is because what we’re allowed to talk about in regards to race is restricted to approved topics only.
We can’t talk about black IQ, or black violence, or black destruction of neighborhoods, or black disruptions in the workplace, or any number of black pathologies.

When Mr. Holder defends my constitutional right to speak my mind and defends my right to keep my job for anything I say, then we can talk.
The differences between blacks and Whites are so great that living in the same country is impossible. And as far as talking with blacks about race that is impossible as well. Blacks want to lecture Whites not talk.

I find this comment especially hypocritical. Last year on Father’s Day, President Obama gave a speech bemoaning the illegitimacy rate in the black community, which is something like 75%. He was immediately denounced by Jesse Jackson and the NAACP as “talking down” to black people.
“Nobody wants to be considered a coward. We’ve learned to get along by exclusion and silence. We need to talk about it. People need to feel comfortable saying the wrong things,” said Shelton of the NAACP.
This remark, too, reeks of hypocrisy. The question is: who is allowed to say the wrong things? I suspect that if whites were allowed to frankly voice their criticisms and concerns they would be labeled racist in the harshest since of the word.
In what I have personally experienced, whites are open to discussion of race and criticism so long as it’s made in a civilized, open and somewhat academic setting. However, once you include blacks into the debate, it suddenly becomes personal and heated.

Mostly it is because Whites have to see lesser qualified minorites get promoted and hired over them, be subjected to “sensitivity and multicultural training” and be screamed at about “white privilige” ad nauseum. I agree with him, although perhaps not in the way that he meant.
Why are whites so terrified of honest discussion of race issues? I suspect one reason is that people like to think we as humans are capable of achieving anything we set our minds to, and can’t stand to admit otherwise. But I think it goes much deeper than that.
Whites are terrified, not of blacks, who hold little real threat to them (except in the area of overbreeding) but of their own awesome power (specifically nuclear power).
Whites have become convinced that if we want to survive in this nuclear age, we have to “learn to get along with everybody,” including blacks, asians, hispanics, etc. in our own white countries. Of course it’s absurd; there’s no connection between the two goals, but that’s what whites have been made to believe.
So when whites seem terrified to admit things about race that are as obvious as the nose on your face, what they are really terrified of is a nuclear holocaust. I think psychologists call it “projection.”
Perhaps the only thing that will break this delusion is some kind of nuclear incident on the part of a non-white nation, but I hope it doesn’t come to that.

The reason there’s a vast social gap between whites and blacks is because a huge percentage of the black population is at a lower intellectual level and there’s no commonality that both groups can share, beyond whites taking on a dumbed down attitude and spending a lot of time giggling and scratching when in the company of blacks….and, of course, restricting the conversation to sports or something else other than ideas and abstract thinking.
Blacks don’t have the same humor; they are abysmally deficient in abstract thinking; they do not and cannot reason nor logic in coherent terms; they’re loud, rude, crude, prone to violence, and they have a serious problem with impulse control. Plus as we’ve seen from literally thousands of news stories, blacks are prone to whining and crying like children if they don’t get their way on everything, and whites are repulsed by bellyachers who want to blame everyone but themselves for their obvious inabilities.
Crime is another problem. No race on earth has the levels of crime blacks do. Even the higher income types are involved with criminal acts, and a huge majority of them just can’t seem to rise above a primitive class.
They’re given educational preferences and benefits as affirmative action for school entry as well as grades and diplomas and degrees. As one white professor put it, we have to certify a certain percentage of blacks in the universities or answer for it if we don’t do as expected of us.
Instead of recognizing that they have a lot of advancing to do to reach the level of not just whites, but every other race also, they pretend as if the white/black gap is something that could be closed were it not for white racism, and as regards their behavior, they, of course, consider themselves perfect, blinded by their arrogance, which is by far their greatest weakness right after low group intelligence. Never do they recognize that it is their failings that are the obstacles. Instead they whine about anything and everything that has to do with black/white relations except their reluctance to recognize their shortcomings and improve themselves as a group.
Too, white elites are too cowardly to come right out and tell these people they should be trying to reach the accomplishment level of Hispanics, Middle Easterners, Indians and Asians, before worrying about reaching a parallel with whites.
Every shyster that pops up always whines about a white/black gap, whether it’s about the numbers of them in prison to their lack of representation in any of the professional fields.
Now, here’s another mulatto that is like a good number of them, putting his pro-black agenda on the front burner as if it hasn’t been there for several decades now by others both black and white, and in denial that the real problem lies with the fact that blacks cannot compete in a first world society. Instead of whining, he should thank his lucky stars he has considerable white blood in him, because if he had attempted to get a degree in law without his racial admixture, he more than likely would have failed. He owes his position to whites actually, just as Obama does.
I’d like to know what this evil racist thinks he’s going to accomplish by putting black matters before any others. I mean there’s so many others who pushed the same agenda yet blacks still can’t go to college or get professional jobs, for the most part, without affirmative action.
Hearing a federal Attorney General announce openly a pro-black agenda instead of making it known he is the attorney general of everybody shows so much bias it is mind boggling.
Closing the gap by this evil man will have to mean causing the deterioration of whites down to black levels, because not in a hundred years could blacks elevate themselves beyond their present primitive niche they have occupied for thousands of years.

I have no problem talking about awkward racial issues.However when I do talk about such issues I am called racist.As an example I use black history month when I send people of other races at my work place to amren.com and tell them to follow the link black invention myths.Now thats not being a coward is it?However I am sure thats not the kind of discussion Mr Holder is looking for.

I just knew this would be one of the stories on Amren -and it deserves to be. I see Holder as trying to set up a gullible White readership who, if hectored enough, might be obliged to enter into a dialogue (read:monologue) over the tired issue of Black “victimization” and White “oppression”.

Eric Holder has declared war on Whites. He wants more and as attorney general he will work to re-affirm/establish AA in a more virulent form than ever. He will work to increase spending and emphasis on minority studies or rather their glorification at the founding White races expense in terms of prestige and social/political position.
Expect to see the new AG use the term “melting pot” repeatedly. He is of the impression that “melting pot” meant miscegenation, rather than simply a society where Europeans of different religions, languages and cultures could co-exist. That was the issue of the time, not the idea that Whites destiny was to interbreed with Indians, Blacks, Asians and every non-White sub-race that could be located and brought to our doorsteps for the convenience of easy sexual access and baby production.
As unlikely as it seems because of the banality of the idea, it always seems that the endless complaining boils down to the demand for unrestricted sexual access to White females with no possibility of even personal rejection.

Bring back segregation. Whites have gained nothing but crime, social dysfunction, miscegenation and genocide as a result of the move to make every city, town, and even family look like the Star Wars Bar.
People do segregate themselves in their own time. That is human nature. People are attracted to people whom are like themselves. No matter what color they are, they stick to their own kind. In addition, notice how the only people the AP interviewed for reaction were those either dependably White liberal, or that fount of all black sanctimony, the NAACP, itself!

Well, these are nice sentiments, but I am kind of cynical about what would happen if criticism were freely expressed, which brings us back to the “honest” part of Mr. Holders comment. Honesty is the last things most liberals want from people. They are interested mainly in the “right answer”, which is the same as their answer.

This is what Holder wants the talks to be about. How can we give blacks more benefits, money, education and understanding. Probably second on his list is reparations, an issue John Conyers will take to the grave.
Another good issue to talk about would be why blacks have black colleges, a black caucus, black history month, etc, etc,.
It might be a good time to talk about a WHITE history month and a white caucus in both houses of congress.
Another issue Holder knows something about is pardons but he probably doesn’t want to talk about that.
Usually, when blacks wish to discuss the topic of race, what they’re actually interested in is a whine-fest where they air their grievances about White people while we White people have to sit there and nod in agreement. NEVER can White people tell it straight about the black race. Never. When we do, we hear the same, shopworn arguments about slavery, Jim Crow, lynchings, and how they’ve been kept down by the Founding population. There can never be a genuine. legitimate discussion on race relations because political correctness dictates that only the “victim” race can/must be heard, and unfortunately and innacurately it is the black race that is considered such.

The RDA (Racial Discrimination Act 1975) has a section on racial hatred (section 18C) that says that any public act that is reasonably likely, in all circumstances, to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate people on the basis of their race, colour or national or ethnic origin, is unlawful unless it is done reasonably and in good faith in certain specific circumstances .
To make a complaint under the RDA, you need to be able to identify the person or provide information that would enable the person to be identified whose acts you are complaining about.
This doesn’t exactly encourage me to make my personal details public.
To talk about race openly, you have to cross the lines of political correctness. And then risk being labelled as ‘a racist’ and as a consequence ostracized.
There is a double standard. Blacks are rewarded for complaining about racial discrimination. We see it in many of the articles presented. No matter the lack of evidence or how irrational, blacks are free to criticize as they see fit. Also, blacks are encouraged to congregate among themselves. We have the Black Caucus, Black Firefighters Association, the Urban League, the NAACP, Black Colleges, Black Student Unions, and it goes on and on. Whites, however, are demonized for organizing any association along racial lines. Blacks love diversity when it means displacing whites, but they resist diversity if it means opening up black colleges, or disbanding an all black organization.

The question is does the category - ‘White’ include Hispanics? I didn’t see any category for Hispanics. They perpetrate crime to almost as high a level as Blacks. If they lumped Hispanics in with the White statistics I would imagine the White stats are next to Zero.

But let me point something out to you, Mr. Holder, that you’re obviously not bright enough to know. Reverend Wright was claimed to the the norm in black churches by the talking black heads on T.V. How on earth can you have a dialogue with people who are so racist and filled with unreasonable hatred? And how can you have this same dialogue with people who regard loyalty to race above country and everything else on earth?

The United States Attorney General is discussing “talking about race” less than 2 months into office. The Executive branch’s main law enforcement arm is saying this.
The Justice Department has been politicized for years now and we can expect to see outrageous yet unreported policies that will be carried out.

I think an open discussion of race is not only necessary but very probable. In my old school when discussing the problems of blacks in America, Africa, the Caribbean, and elsewhere I gave an honest open opinion. I got disgruntle looks but by the end people were agreeing with me. That is why I believe it is not nesessary but is able to be done.
Blacks know that whites will be a minority in this country. They want to secure their position in this country as well. Listening to what blacks say in town hall meeting and churches isnt to far off from what is said here (minus some stuff of course).
We need to organize and push for this because our place in this country is slipping away.
The last thing this canting affirmative action lawyer wants is an “honest” discussion of race. If anything he will do everything in his power to punish anyone who ventures into racial heterodoxy. This nonsense about “race-protected cocoons,” for instance, is merely an acknowledgement that the private lives of white Americans falls somehow under the jurisdiction of government, which can or ought to compel them to behave in some “acceptable” manner. The time is past when certain, even most aspects of life were none of the government’s business.

My friend (who posts here too) and I always argue about how long it will take blacks to reach our level (in evolutionary terms). A long time ago, we started out with the figure of approximately 5,000 years. Lately, I’ve edged closer to 25,000 years and my friend is up to about 50,000 years. Brain/cranium capacity and IQ take a long time to develop. It used to be the survival of the fittest. Now it’s the survival of the most ‘oppressed’ and ‘dependent’. I’m so glad I lived in the period before America went in the sewer or I never would have believed the stories if other people had relayed them to me.

Eric Holder was the assistant Attorney General under the Clinton Administration. He stated publicly that the Second Amendment was a collective right and that citizens have no individual rights to a firearm. Bush’s Attorney General, John Ashcroft refuted that claim stating the Second Amendment was an individual right,to which the Supreme Court recently agreed.
Pity the non-blacks who are working for him. He is really a pathetic person being so self absorbed in his deficiency that he is proclaiming he is a racist. We sure got a lot of “change” in a few weeks.
He and his boss will get the conversation on race they’re asking for, but when it comes, they won’t like it.
For almost a year, I’ve been posting at knoxnews.com. There’s about 3 other posters there with amren level consciousness, but many more who are just sick of hustlers like Holder.
It’s been a struggle to write my posts there in a way that they won’t get removed, but I’m now able to say anything there that I’d say here, if I use a different tone and language. Also, I think the site is now slightly less restrictive than it was before.
When it seems opportune, I urge the readers there to visit white sites I like, including amren—I urge them to go directly to jared’s interviews, and warn them that although the posts here are intelligent, the anger may put them off at first (I know from experience that it does.)
I’m not sure how much good all that does, but I think the thing to do is to keep pressing and try to get them to good sites.
Some of the blacks that sometimes post there are like some of the ones that have posted here over the last few years—arrogant know-it-alls who think they’re twice as smart as they are, and think whites are blessed to receive their instruction.

It might surprise you to hear that as a race realist I agree with you that collectively we are a “nation of cowards” to not speak on race as you say. However, as the top legal agent of the Federal government you realize that for many people to speak frankly about race could jeopardize their livelihood or worse. It is to subject oneself to a barrage of irrational, filthy name-calling to say the least. Frank discussion of race is a taboo to European Americans. Since race realists are not those whom you would encourage to dialogue on the matter, your comments only compound the problem.
Since you have forced the issue, and I still have some degree of first amendment to speak the truth I’ll address your further comments. To the degree that I’ve been able to avoid problems in my life I’ve avoided the company of African Americans. The facts of their temperament, lower intelligence, and subsequent criminality and social deviance are clear for any to see. Yes, many Blacks are personable and upstanding, but there’s always a “package deal” of friendship involved. Their in-laws and outlaws will inevitably stop-by, “infiltrate”, or otherwise interact with myself and my family along with their self-inflicted problems. Mr. Holder is free to express his opinions on race. As Attorney General his opinions are relevant to illegal discrimination in public accommodations or employment. On matters of association his remarks are irrelevant. As a lawyer he must be aware of freedom of association, one of the basic founding principles of our country. I do not associate with blacks because I choose not to. I don’t need to engage in an “honest discussion” about race. Mr. Holder should focus on his job and understand that his opinions on race, or anything else for that matter, are irrelevant to me.

The multicult tells us that “race is just a construct” and that skin color has no more relevance than the color of one’s eyes. Yet here we see one of their spokesmen telling us that race is so real that it must become a topic for action from the highest government offices.
Can we get the story straight? If race has nothing to do with IQ, propensity towards violence, illegitimacy, political culture, and the general wrecking of White civilization (as per post-colonial Africa) then why ought it to be a topic at all?

Blacks also seem to suffer a huge memory loss concerning black-on-black slavery which has gone on since time immemorial and continues to the present day in African countries like Benin, Mauritania, Sudan and others.
