Washington, DC—Janet Murguía, President and CEO of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, will warn Congress against leaving homeowners out of the remaining funds of the bailout bill in a hearing before the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee on Wednesday, January 7. The hearing on the remaining funds of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) will be presided over by Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA) and will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

NCLR has urged Congress to include the millions of foreclosure-plagued American homeowners in last year’s $700 billion relief program, and it is disappointed that more than half of the TARP funds have been spent without providing assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure—an underlying cause of the economic crisis. NCLR believes that the economy demands a new, bold foreclosure prevention strategy, starting with a shift in the distribution of the remaining TARP funds.

In other words, she wants public housing under the pretense of home ownership. And they say there was welfare reform.

What’s horrible about all this is that LARAZA and virtually every hispanic advocacy group is funded by a combination of the federal government and the multi billion dollar foundations such as Ford, Tides, Carnegie and other foundations.

No hispanic has to contribute a dime to all this advocacy done for them for the last 40 years.

NCLR has urged Congress to include the millions of foreclosure-plagued American [they meant “Latino”, I guess] homeowners in last year’s $700 billion relief program

How about sending those who were lying on their loan applications to jail and deporting those who are in the U.S. illegally?

How about making sure that those who claim that they cannot afford to pay their loans don’t send money back to Mexico?

How about exposing and prosecuting all those who, like Joe Baca, masterminded political cover-up for this large mortgage fraud that was supposed to benefit members of The Race (La Raza) at the expense of others?

They, apparently, don’t think that they ripped us off enough and are readying for another rip-off.

Someone needs to tell the endless numbers of grievance bearing minorities that we are now in the post-racial America. Aren’t we? I mean that was what all the talking heads said after Obama was elected.

None of these Hispanic ‘homeowners’ would be facing foreclosure if they hadn’t been fraudulently given bank loans that they didn’t qualify for in the first place. The total cost of those ‘affirmative action’ loans to minorities? $700 billion. Now they want another $700 billion to keep them in their houses? $1.4 Trillion dollars is a lot to spend to keep minorities in their houses and drag down the value of the neighborhoods they live in.

Forget another bailout. Just put them in public housing with the Blacks for free. This isn’t the Soviet Union, after all. Or is it?

Is this a backhanded confirmation that hispanics are behind the housing crisis?

I have been reading about the sub-prime mortagage crisis for months now. The sub-heading given to the story by Mr. Taylor sums the situation up so accurately and simply:

“La Raza wants taxpayers to keep hispanics in houses they can’t afford.”

Unbelievable!! Yet, with the continued apathy of those taxpayers, this might just happen.

These Hispanics come from Banana Republics, and what else should we expect then “The Race” begging a government for handouts? It might be pointed out that minority preferences in the subprime mortgage market was probably the trigger to our economic crisis in the first place!

9 — June wrote at 9:54 AM on January 8:

I think it’s about time we had some advocates for whites that were as dedicated to the cause as Hispanics are. Our own government, maybe?

10 — Jackers wrote at 10:35 AM on January 8:

This is the problem. Hispanics stick up for Hispanics. Blacks stick up for Blacks. Muslims stick up for Muslims. When on earth will our race stick up for our race?

We need to unite for the majority that we’re rapidly losing and form organizations that work on our behalf.

The sooner, the better!

Hey, I want some of this taxpayer money for my mortgage payments! Sure I’m totally undeserving of this but I’m more worthy than these dumb minorities who, unlike me, were stupid enough to buy something they couldn’t long afford. If they’re going to waste taxpayer money at least they should waste it on more responsible people.

So Ms. Murguia, the Welfare Queen of La Raza, is asking Barney Frank to hand over our tax $ to a bunch of deadbeats?

Let’s remember that during the past decade when Rep. Ron Paul was warning that the housing bubble would burst, Frank kept sneering that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were in great shape.

Now Frank is blaming the subprime meltdown on Ronald Reagan!

This is another attempt to transfer the wealth from the middle class to the lower class. You don’t really believe that for the better part of the last century the global communist movement simply turned a blind eye to America do you?

Communism is like all evils; it has many names and guises. Their numbers are small, but they control or influence every key element of our society. Their supporters are many, but most are oblivious to the fact that it is communism they champion.

We know who and where our domestic enemies are and it is up to us to neutralize them all. Obama will soon swear an oath “to defend the construction against all enemies foreign and domestic”. I wouldn’t count on him to honor that oath…
