The Long Island woman accused of killing NYPD cop Anastasios Tsakos in a drunken hit-and-run took 19 swigs of booze and smoked weed just hours before the crash, according to a video shown to jurors at her manslaughter trial Wednesday.
Jessica Beauvais, 32, took several hits from a pipe and repeatedly downed shots or took sips of a cocktail over a 90-minute span while recording her live podcast — and then allegedly got behind the wheel and mowed down the veteran cop on the Long Island Expressway in April 2021, prosecutors said.
“I still do that s–t! I smoked it every day of my life,” Beauvais said during a seven-minute clip shown to the Queens Supreme Court jury.
“Everybody knows I smoke weed. It’s very simple, you not supposed to be here if you don’t know weed is my thing.”
On several occasions on the time-stamped footage, Beauvais either does a shot or takes a sip from what prosecutors have described as “a strong mixed drink.”
At around 2 a.m. the following day, Tsakos was directing traffic at the scene of an earlier accident on the expressway when prosecutors said Beauvais smashed into the cop with her 2013 Volkswagen and drove off.
The force of the impact was so severe that Tsakos was thrown high into the air, his face battered and his leg torn clean off his body, according to earlier testimony at the trial.
