Nike to Permanently Close MLK Store

Nike says it is permanently closing its store on Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard while saying it remains committed to “supporting and uplifting Portland’s North and Northeast community.”

Nike had closed the store while it looked for ways to improve safety for its employees and customers. It had sent a letter to the city requesting that off-duty police officers work at the store.
