2021 AmRen Conference: Come Join the Living

Jared Taylor, VDARE, October 20, 2021

I never tire of telling this story: Years ago, at an American Renaissance conference, a friend who had just arrived for the Friday evening reception of his second conference, walked up to me and said, “It’s great to be among the living again.” That was 15 years ago, at a time when the mental distance between an AmRen conference goer and a CNN reporter was — what? — half what it is today.

The things we are supposed to at least pretend to believe grow more psychotic every day, so it is all the more thrilling to be in the same room with hundreds of clear-headed unbelievers. And you can still join us. This year’s American Renaissance conference (November 12-14) is only a little more than three weeks away, but we still have seats available.

As usual, we have a great line up. Perennial stars such as Sam Dickson — who has closed every conference since the very first one 27 years ago—and VDARE.com’s Peter Brimelow will be joined by exciting newcomers. David Cole is one of those geniuses who can write about deadly serious things without sounding deadly serious. He is my favorite among the many sharp people who write for Taki’s Magazine, and I can assure you he is as charming and funny in person as he is in print (or on screen?).

We are also happy to be welcoming Michelle Malkin for her first time. She is certainly one of the most courageous, hard-hitting columnists in the mainstream today, and we are delighted she will be joining us.

We will also be hearing from two of the most dynamic young parliamentarians in Europe today. Ruuben Kaalep was the head of the youth movement of the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia before his election in 2019, age 26, to the Estonian parliament. This will be his second AmRen conference appearance. He has, of course, been given all the honorific titles our detractors bestow on anyone who can think straight.

In 2019, Dries Van Langenhove became the youngest person ever elected to the Belgian Chamber of Representatives. He is a committed nationalist, and has become one of the most popular members of parliament. Travel from the continent may be complicated by Covid, but we will at least be hearing from our European comrades by video.

We are also pleased to be presenting F. Roger Devlin in his first major U.S. address. He is a prolific author for dissident websites, and his latest book is Sexual Utopia in Power.

Colin Flaherty is the author of such Amazon #1 best sellers as  Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry and White Girl Bleed a Lot. His videos on black violence and the media refusal to acknowledge it have been viewed more than 125 million times.

And, of course, I will be taking my turn at the podium, as I plan to do until the young guys tell me I am an embarrassment and push me out.

But the best reason to come is — you. There is nothing like the fellowship and camaraderie of an American Renaissance conference.

These are extraordinary times. Dickens must have been thinking of America in 2021 when he wrote:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

There is foolishness and darkness to spare. Come help us dispel it!
