Homophobic, Racist Adam Carolla Is ‘Done Apologizing’

Neal Broverman, Advocate, March 6, 2015

Comedian Adam Carolla’s thoughts on those insulted by his racially tinged and antigay humor? “Tough shit” and “I don’t care,” he said this week.

During an interview with Huffington Post Live, a viewer asked Carolla how he feels about the Calling Out Carolla blog, which catalogs his offensive jokes and tweets. He offered no apology and said anyone who’s ever had to apologize for an offensive comment was faking their remorse.

“Go find a politician or somebody who’s in charge and poke a popsicle stick up their butt. I’m a comedian,” he said. “I’m done apologizing, I really am.”

{snip}

“You are in charge of your own feelings,” he said to his detractors. “I’m not in charge of your feelings. I’m here to make jokes. I’m here to make commentaries. I’m here to share my opinions.Tough shit if you don’t like it.” {snip}

THIS is my AmRen ‘feel-good’ article of the day… week… month… year.

Finally – Someone who doesn’t grovel!!!

    • TruthBeTold

Yes, but he’s using the ‘I’m a comedian’ justification they all use.

Telling the truth and speaking your mind are not relegated to only comedians.

All of us have the right to speak our minds and feelings of others be damned.

      • Anna Tree

He is just putting his foot on the door (and on the floor) for all of us. Any justification is good. It’s one more spear.

More people like him doing it, more people will do it.
Dozens, hundreds of people saying “White history month” or “white life matters” etc cannot be vilified like one is, then thousands will join the ranks of the Saints. Strength comes with numbers.

        • Rocco

Exactly, we need to take every small step we can at this point. This is one thing the Left has always done better than the right and its worked out well (looking at the lefts representation in the media). Starting with them sliding in feel good sensitive BS here and there, to what is now full blown PC mania. Its something we need to learn from. Take Carolla and those like him and amplify what they’ve done and make it appealing to up coming generatio to call out and mock the silliness that is Political Correctness and ultimately anti white, anti traditional main stream talking points.

    • johningermany

I’ve never heard of this guy but I like him already.

    • LastBastionOfHope

There are a few unapologetic white media figures who don’t care about PC culture and still tell it like it is…also in an entertaining way. Adam Carolla but also Anthony Cumia.

  • Chip Carver

He still has to watch himself, and he does. But little things like this are the tip of the iceberg that the US America is going to hit full tilt. Let the chips fall where they may.

  • Alden

My thoughts are to any one who is offended by anything I say is: sorry you are such an moron.
In other news, the city of Los Angeles is giving away for only $149.00 a new computer a PC, monitor and printer to any low income person who signs up for a class. According to the poverty stricken low IQ dysfunctional idiot immigrant, about 1/3 of the total population is on straight welfare and another 1/5 on some sort of disability or unemployment.
Here is a 2th grade math word question. How many White taxpayers are needed to support
3 million welfare scroungers out of a total population of 4 million?

    • Zimriel

I posted this at the National Review’s Selma hugbox:

“Suffrage granted to the less civilised of the populations – as WFB said of the blacks in the 1950s – must inevitably lead to those populations voting themselves free money. As, indeed, the blacks have done: in every city, in every state, in every country.

“You can’t look at black rates of crime and interracial crime in particular today and tell me that they are more civilised now than they were then. Where was Boko Haram in the 1950s? The likes of them existed, sure. But they weren’t allowed to spread. This is because more civilised people were there to stop them – by which I mean, of course, white people.

“WFB was right. The National Review at the time was right. Cooke and the NR today are wrong.”

In retrospect, I think I would have expanded the second paragraph: with some statistics, and maybe a gentler segue into Boko with a link to Unamusement Park’s classic discussion of the Congo. (You really have to read that BTW. What Unamused found was so dire that even the author – as hardcore as it gets around here – had to admit it made him sick.)

But, there’s a limit to what one can post on short notice in a comment box. A blessing in some ways; a curse in others.

  • Lewis33

You can find most of Carrolla’s books at the library and with the exception of the newest one, they are laugh out loud funny. Highly recommended.

    • Rocco

He is good. Grew up blue collar, Italian (and might be part hispanic) boxed as a youngster, ran his own carpentry business, and got into comedy on the side. Perfect example of hard work and success in Leftist Hollywood from a not so Leftist guy.

  • JackKrak

I like him but, as with all things comedy, I understand that he might not be everyone’s cup of tea. He’s been “controversial” (that is, talking about obvious truths that everyone outside of DNC headquarters recognizes) for a while now. I urge everyone to support him if you can.

  • David Ashton

The problem is not this or that “comedian”. The problem is the right of people to make serious statements that others consider “offensive”.

    • Anna Tree

We the people have lost free speech for some time now. The comedians are just nowadays king’s jokers. When they will be silenced, free speech will be completely dead.
Of course those people and comedians are whites. Free speech for non-whites is not prohibited or not yet, they don’t use it the way we do too: free speech, i.e. the protection of it, like many other freedoms and rights protections, is a white tradition.

      • Bossman

People can’t be funny if they are only allowed to say nice things about other people. It must be very hard to make a living by being a comedian these days.

        • InAFreeCountry

Not if you’re black. They can make fun of everybody because they have the Race Card. The White Privilege card gets you nothing.

          • ElComadreja

Black comedians are all still recycling the same tired old Richard Pryor routines from forty years ago that weren’t even funny or clever then.

          • Rocco

When talking about whites they can. Look back at Kat Williams tirade agaisnt Mexicans / illegals in Arizona. He caught holy hell for that..also the black comedian has been burnt by anti-gay comedy as well. Just remember we are living in what is adding up to be, the “victim olympics” and gays, trannies, gender queers of all sorts are at the top of the protected pile, followed by black women, then all women, then blacks, then hispanics and so forth.

        • Rocco

Sure unless you are the self hating white guilt kind of white comedian..these are a dime a dozen.

  • Atheist Realist

Carolla has always been one of my favorite talking heads

  • Reynardine

“the Calling Out Carolla blog, which catalogs his offensive jokes and tweets.”

Some people really have too much time on their hands. Seriously, this is why fly tying was invented. Heck, start a garden, learn a musical instrument, learn a new language. Cataloguing every offensive thing a comedian says is just a ridiculous waste of time.

    • Jane Dough

Apparently that website thought so too. I clicked on the link and the most recent posts were dated “a year ago.”

There’s also a gay flag logo in the upper right corner, so y’know, butthurt an’ all, pun intended.

      • Reynardine

“The Perpetually Butthurt” describes the homosexual front amazingly well.

  • dd121

This once again reveals the left’s fascist nature.

  • I’ve always liked Adam Carolla. His show “Catch a Contractor” is fantastic. He worked in construction for years before becoming a comedian, and he and his contractor best friend go around shaming bad contractors on camera. Unsurprisingly, most of them are Mexican or black.

  • Luca

When Chris Rock or Eddie Murphy say it, it’s funny to the masses. When any White comedian even insinuates anything remotely similar, it is blatant racism.

    • LHathaway

Comedians of color make a living defaming Whites.

      • Paleoconn

LHathaway, I think Luca meant when black comics comment on unpleasant truths about their own kind. And what’s with the ‘of color’ bit? You’re not a liberal, are you?

        • LHathaway

Believe me, black comics – comics of color. . spend a fair amount of time exploring unpleasant truths about whites, too, quite a bit more time, I would say. I did say that. Defamation of whites almost seems the very purpose of their acts. There are entire television shows based on that, actually.

          • ElComadreja

Television itself is based on it.

  • Good for him!

  • Tarczan

Dennis Prager does a lot of stuff with Coralla, or used to; they had a tour together not long ago. He’s a right wing national talk radio host, and yes of the tribe. He makes sense to me on most issues but he is off the rails nutso on racism. I would love to hear his take on this. He goes from a reasoned thinker to a wacko when discussing “racism”.

  • ThatWhiteGuy

It’s very refreshing to hear about somebody who simply doesn’t give a crap about what people think. I’ve always liked Adam Corolla and I’m pleased to see him stand his ground.

  • Deacon Blue

More White Americans should emulate the behaviour of Mr. Carolla. Specifically THIS BEHAVIOUR!

  • listenupbub

meh, sorry to be a downer, but there is no good reason to get our hopes up about this. It will have zero effect.

  • Doomispixulated

That is how it is done.

  • IstvanIN

I don’t like crude humor so I don’t watch it. I found Rodney Dangerfield to be funny (his TV appearances and movies, not his filthy live act) and Phyllis Diller. Ellen DeGeneres’ standup is funny, not hysterical, but cute in a slice of life way. Jeff Dunham’s Achmed the dead Terrorist is funny. And I like Tim Hawkins, he is very clever and clean.

The filthy mouthed people I can not stomach, like Chris Rock, and do not watch them. The only black comedian who was clean was Bill Cosby, at least on the old reel-to-reel albums form the 60s I have.

My long winded point is: stay away from the one’s you don’t like.

    • ElComadreja

Cosby turned out to be a typical negro.

      • IstvanIN

It seems that may be true.

  • LHathaway

From the original article, “When asked about white privilege, Carolla seemed unable to comprehend the concept, which possibly made it easier for him to justify his steady stream of antiminority humor”.

I don’t know what this Carolla has said, but I do know what progressives have said, are saying and likely will be saying next week, if you’re white, and you complain about being a victim of racism, this is just means that you are a racism. This is indeed the objective proof. From my vantage point, it looks as though the forces of darkness have things all sewn up.

    • Rhialto

When I am asked about White Privilege, I say, “It’s great; I wish that I had some!”. Liberal moaning about White Privilege is just a way of adding insult to injury.

    • willbest

Its not particularly new, but the most common response to questioning white privilege is to claim you can’t see it because you are white. To which I ask about and when they claim none exists, I say, but you can’t see it because you are

  • slobotnavich

It’s truly remarkable how morality and the popular culture have been turned on their respective heads in the past 20-40 years, that thousands of years of accepted standards of behavior and common morality are suddenly turned upside-down . How could hundreds of generations of forebears have been so tragically wrong? I suppose one could blame it on the slow creep of socialism in all its various forms, which is codified denial of personal responsibility and the affirmation of collective responsibility for all individual and social ills.
It’s not your fault! It was society’s fault. This is nothing less than madness.

    • LHathaway

By tying all those good things to racism, of course.

  • The Dude

Don’t like his sense of humor, but love his reaction to this. That’s how you should do it!

  • John Smith

He’s never found his niche back since the “Man Show” went off. Kimmel isn’t that great either, but since he’s liberal, he’s got a thriving career.

    • InAFreeCountry

Kimmel did blackface with the Karl Malone sketches on that show, but since Karl is conservative, and Kimmel is a lib, I guess he got a pass.

  • Frank_DeScushin

Comedy is perhaps the most obvious and evident example of humongous double standard on race. If a white comedian even dare joke about the black ghetto culture which is ripe for comedy he is castigated as an intolerable racist. Meanwhile, many of the popular black comedians have whole segments of their routine where they imitate or ridicule what they believe to be white idiosyncracies. It’s obvious to anyone with a brain, yet, for some reason, we have to pretend this double standard doesn’t exist.

  • bv

That’s because he’s the master of his domain and is self employed and bound to no one.

  • Light from the East

As an Asian, I would say it is pretty normal for different groups of people making jokes about other groups of people, even within a race. In race realist perspective, every race has its own strength and weakness. I use that to observe most Asian (Northeastern) people, they score higher than other races on tests, they have higher income than other races, they achieve higher refinement once they learned the technology (e.g. Japanese car’s reliability vs American, European car’s reliability). But in terms of the ability of thinking outside the box, white people perform better than Asians and that’s why most of inventions came from whites.

I am a race realist. I know what is the potential weakness of my biological construct. So I can improve my potential weakness by any feasible methods after knowing that, instead of blaming others irrationally.

My thoughts on this is if you blame white people for racism and ask for apology, then you automatically admit you are “inferior” to white people by yourself since you need white people’s opinions to decide your identity and to make you feel better rather than feel better by yourself.

    • bv

Not most but all of the inventions. Asians reengineer the technology they’ve acquired from whites. I work for Omron Corporation in Los Angeles and I’ve had meetings with our president and he says he gathered all of his know how from his sojourn over a 9 year period in America.

He said Japan doesn’t have the know how to invent original technology and the culture doesn’t foster it either.
That sums it up for me.

      • Light from the East

Search Compass, Gunpowder, Paper-making, Printing and you will know not “all”, and of course, DISQUS commenting system we use, thanks for its founders are not politically correct so we are allowed to post our comments.

        • bv

          Paper and firecrackers big deal?

          • Light from the East

Without the invention of paper in 105 AD, Europeans had to write on parchment until the technology reached their territories. Parchment is unlikely to be mass-produced and expensive so only a few people in Europe had the access to knowledge like hermits in monasteries or aristocrats. The paper making reached Europe in 11th century by Arabs at Iberian peninsula. Then it came to Italy, France, and finally other parts of Europe around 16th century, more than a thousand year after the first invention of paper. Without it, Renaissance and Enlightment could not have happened or happened hundreds of years later. Without it, masterpieces like Dante’s divina commedia and Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet could not have spread widely, not even to mention without printing technology. In Medieval age average people did not have “books made of paper”, most people were not able to learn like we are today. Imagine you live in that era, and you will appreciate the convinience of paper.

          • Light from the East

Firecracker is just one of the application of gunpowder. Gunpowder was first invented in 9th century. Europe first knew the technology in 13th century by Mongolians or merchants through the Silk Road. Chinese also invented the world first “handgun” and “cannon”, of course, they look like toys and lack complex functions by today’s standard, but back then they were powerful enough to change the history. For example, the Byzantine Empire was conquered by Ottoman Turkish Empire in 1453. Do you think Turks are smarter than Eastern Europeans? No. It’s because Turkish people knew how to use gunpowder, guns, cannons earlier than Byzantines to attack on the firm walls of Constantinople, which cannot be destroyed by swords, axes, stones, arrows, other traditional medieval weapons. That was the beginning of the control of Southeastern Europe by the Ottoman Empire of 400 years.

          • Light from the East

The Four Great Inventions deeply changed the history of humans even they look simple in today’s standard. It’s strange that I am more familiar with European history even though I am Asian but you seem know little about your ancestors.

      • Saying whites invented “all” is more than a little ridiculous. And then your “citation” is essentially “because my boss said so!”

Light from the East gave us more than enough credit when he said most. And I have to agree that Asians are pretty remarkable at, as he said, “refining” what we innovate. Not just cars, but electronics are an especially easy to observe example of this. There are no american companies that even try to compete with Samsung, Sony, LG, Mitsubishi, etc. And if you ever spend some time IN Asia, you may just be amazed by the things that haven’t made it to American shores yet, for whatever reason.

The time lag is getting much shorter, but I’ve seen electronics in the past which were a year or two away from hitting the U.S. market, that had already been in circulation in Japan/China/Korea for some time. Also, samsung makes Cars, and Mitsubishi makes relatively high end audio equipment, as well as all kinds of consumer electronics which you never see.

Seriously, you come off like a teenager or something, whites invented EVERYTHING? Lol…

        • bv

You obviously don’t understand anything. All of the technology that goes into these electronics were invented and created by whites. Japanese engineers are trained to reengineer products and to adapt new technologies to the Japanese market.

Have you noticed that Koreans are dominating? The reason being is that they cost a lot less. That’s why animation is for tv Beavis & Butthead are drawn in Korea.

          It’s Money fella.

          • Interesting. So the fact that the Korean product itself is of a higher quality, and performs better, is incidental to the fact that its cheaper … oh wait, LG and Samsung items are ludicrously expensive, even in their country of origin, not cheaper.

They dominate not because they’re more (or less) expensive, but because the quality is the best, and the price is reasonable. And I never said the root technology used in these products wan’t white, that’s your own little strawman argument.

But hey, when you don’t stand a chance of winning an argument, just make up a new one, right?

          • bv

Not true just like their cars the quality of their products are subpar.

        • bv

Blacks never invented, created or nurtured any idea ever.

  • ghettovalley

I think that he is part Hispanic. Maybe this is why he gets a pass. I did used to enjoy the Man Show quite a bit.

    • Lol, he might be part hispanic, but thats not the part that gives him magical immunity.

Hint, it rhymes with “glue” or “shoe” or “Drew” or … well, you can probably figure it out…

      • ghettovalley

Of course, the most ethnocentric people on the planet. Who go through great lengths to keep their country ethnically homogenous. Those who preach to us about racism, xenophobia, open borders, and equality here in America and then do the exact opposite in their own country. Very familiar with their shenanigans.

  • Curtius Simplus

    Good Man. Full stop.

  • scutum

I love this guy and used to watch his TV show “Catch a Contractor” for laughs. Remember, WHITE LIVES MATTER!

    • Light from the East

      Black Lies Matter as well.

  • InAFreeCountry

I used to think it was because he is gay, but I found out he’s not gay.

  • Guest

I love Michael Savage and Adam Carolla. Adam is awesome. He says it as it is, now nonsense! Looks like for some folks, the truth is politically incorrect. Get a grip limousine liberals!

  • Simonitz Levi Rothstein

Adam Carolla and Michael Savage are my two favorite radio hosts. Adam is funny, honest, clever and factual. He does not dodge the truth. To some feeble minded saps, even the essential truth is considered politically incorrect. This is not the same America from when I grew up in 1985-86, listening to Bon Jovi, GNR and Iron Maiden, eating good food with good friends & families at our all white quaint bistros in southern NJ while listening to Alabama’s “Forty hour a week” & Billy Joel’s “Allentown”.

Now, MTV has become crap. TV has become an eyesore, except for a few intelligent programs like “Perception”, “Homeland” etc and even there they shove token annoying black characters in your face. It is obvious that many minority characters are force fed with phony scripts, everything is so plastic, so fake! And of course, unlike the 79’s & 80’s, social online media has ruined our prospects of enhancing more personal communication au-visage! Amren seems to be a place where me a white conservative Atheist of Jewish heritage can hang out. Maybe we could start a coffee club and exchange books and materials!

  • ElComadreja

“Homophobia” is a liberal false concept. What you mean to say is he’s not disgusted or repelled by homosexuals and chooses to associate with them. That knocks him down a few places in my book.

  • ElComadreja

Bingo. Let a full blooded “gentile” try that.

  • 1Forced_Registration

    Nice!

  • Rocco

Familiarity breeds contempt. Social Marxists know this (even if only subconsciously) thus the preemptive attack on anything out of their scope of acceptable talk concerning culture, race, sexuality and so forth. Small victories like Carolla should be celebrated. Guys like him or even a$$holes like Mark Cuban inch by inch push back at the thought police and main stream PC talking heads.
