How White Entitlement Marred My Trip to a Ferguson Teach-In

Brittney Cooper, Salon, December 17, 2014

On Friday, I was on the train to New York to do a teach-in on Ferguson at NYU. Beats headphones on, lost in thought, peering out the window, I suddenly saw a white hand shoving my work carry-on toward me. Startled, I looked up to see the hand belonged to a white guy, who was haphazardly handling my open bag, with my laptop perched just inside to make space for himself on the seat next to me.

That he wanted the seat on the now full train was not the problem. That he assumed the prerogative to place his hands on my bag, grab it, shove it at me, all while my computer was unsecured and peaking out, infuriated me. I said to him, “Never put your hands on my property.”

His reply: “Well, you should listen when I talk to you.” That line there, the command that when he, whoever he was, spoke, I should automatically listen encapsulates the breadth of the battle against racism we have to fight in this country.

Buoyed by his own entitlement, his own sense of white male somebodiness, this passenger never even considered that he might simply try harder to get my attention before putting his hands on my stuff. His own need to control space, his own sense of entitlement to move anything in his way even if it held something of value to another person, his belief that he had the right to do whatever he needed to do to make the environment conform to his will are all hallmarks of white privilege.

In the reverse scenario, a black man would never get on the train, snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face. But then black women are rarely entitled to the courtesies proffered to white women, and black people never presume they are entitled to occupy interracial spaces so aggressively.

To have a white man in 2014 demand that I listen when he speaks is the height of racial disrespect and indignity. To have a white person shove my belongings to the side rather than simply get my attention and ask my permission is an unnecessary level of disrespect, one that conveys yet again that their needs matter more than my own.

I do not exist to make white people comfortable. The fact that I know that and act like it makes white people even more uncomfortable.

Some will argue that I cannot generalize ideas about white entitlement from the action of one jerk on the train. After all, people get into petty squabbles on the train all the time. Let us not forget, however, that the civil rights movement was catalyzed by a squabble over a seat on a bus. I’m no Rosa Parks, of course. But what these connected histories teach us is that the right to occupy public accommodations unharassed is a right black people fought for. Died for. Endured centuries of indignity and white entitlement for. Battles over how we share public space are foundational to the narrative of race in this country.

Still I am struck by the utter cluelessness of this guy on the train, by the way in which snatching up my belongings and shoving them at me seemed like an entirely reasonable thing for him to do. Mere seconds after this exchange, he looked at me frantically as he patted his pockets. “I can’t find my cellphone!” He knew I didn’t have it, but what he wanted from me was empathy and, perhaps, assistance. As I fought back the urge to pummel this man, it occurred to me that far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.

The black man would just snatch it and run.

    • Cecil Broomsted

Another black woman blissfully unaware of the horrendous black-on-white crime rate. Also exhibits the lack of empathy for others endemic to the black race.

      • Jack Green

        Typical negro mindset.

      • Earl P. Holt III

Empathy is one of those “higher-order” emotions found in the more highly-evolved frontal lobes of whites, but never “Africanus Criminalis.”

      • Screamin_Ruffed_Grouse

Not likely unaware. More likely supportive.

My very first thought, and then I wondered how long it would take for someone to post it. Obviously most of had exactly the same reaction.

      • Alexandra1973

As long as I can have my computer, Kindle, and Sims games…. LOL

        • Garrett Brown

The new sims game is a Marxist’s wet dream for indoctrinating young people. I hope you don’t play that.

          • Alexandra1973

Sims 4? Don’t plan on getting that. It’s like Sims 1.5 and the user interface…what a joke.

          • Garrett Brown

Never understood why they changed the format so much. What was wrong with two? It was perfect. As I eluded to before, politics obviously started to influence how they made those games.

          • John Smith

I’m still PO’d about the SimCity defective reboot, designed to grab money from users and force them to tie in to EA.

          • Garrett Brown

Everything I had heard about that game was negative. The original was amazing though. Shame EA sold out.

          • Jesse_from_Sweden

            EA didn’t sell out.
            EA bought in…

They aren’t a game designer, they are a game publisher.

          • Garrett Brown

EA and most gaming companies sold out years ago. Their integrity went down the toilet. Their games suck now and I hope they go out of business.

          • Jesse_from_Sweden

EA don’t make the games, they just publish them.
Think of a book publisher, same thing really.

The work is done by authors or sub-contractors.
Mass Effect is done by Bioware.
Battlefield series is done by DICE (digital evolution CE).
Titanfall is done by Respawn Entertainment.

Yeah, EA has a lot of power, just like book publishers. But they aren’t the ones doing the actual creation, they just market and sell the finished product.
Which means they push for things they can market and sell and don’t really give a crap about the actual content.
But big publishers never do and never have.

EA didn’t sell out, they were like that from the very beginning. It’s just become more noticeable as more and more game developers come under their sway.

            I have 2 and 3. I don’t want 4.

I have plenty of mods in both games so the little buggers do what *I* want. I also have lily-white neighborhoods.

          • Garrett Brown

I suppose it would be inappropriate to tell what I did to make my neighborhood all white but I used some pretty hilarious (and violent) mods myself.

          • Alexandra1973

Sims 2, I use SimPE with Theo’s deleter and delete. Sims 3, I have mods from a guy known as Twallan and I just do an occasional purge (Total Annihilation).

          • Garrett Brown

I have that sniper mod lol. It’s so silly yet so much fun.

It’s more likely that a Black man would say, “Lady, move yo’ G.D. s**t, or I move it for yo’, gtwhtimsayn!”.

I’d rather de-fund them, by phasing out ALL welfare and eliminating Federally Guaranteed Student Loans and Pell Grants for any nigra with a measurable pulse…

    • Jack Green

Correction. A black man would steal it, rape her, sodomize her, and then beat the woman to death with it.

Just another over entitled, selfish moron whining about being called to account for her lack of consideration for others. Then having the effrontery to attribute it to racism. Truly pathetic the mindset of the contemporary negro based on chimera and projection.

    • connorhus

Exactly. She thought she was entitled to take up the other seat and no matter what the Man did to get her attention would have been racist.

      • Aussie_Thinker

Should have held a banana under her nose. That might have got her attention.

Aussie, you owe me a new keyboard.

      • Bon, From the Land of Babble

She thought she was entitled to two seats.

Given the size of her, she should have been remanded to buy three seats – two for her fat *** and one for her bag.

For the sensitive among us who will have trouble getting that hideous image out of their brains:

            This is one ugly sow.

        • connorhus

I actually agree. I doubt it actually happened. I could kinda see it until she brought up the lost cell phone thing then decided at that point it was all make believe.

    • Hy Alldredge

She took a cue from Michelle Obama, clearly, and the horrid request to reach something on a shelf. I live in NYC and the subway has it’s own unwritten law. A primary subway rule is that you do NOT put your bag on the seat in a full train. Anybody who does put their bag next to them immediately moves it on the first signal that somebody wants to sit next to them. A New Yorker reading this story will immediately think “you deserved it, b*** you didn’t move your bag.” So will many non New Yorkers I bet.

Also, she’s an idiot for having it open with a laptop on and being unaware of her surroundings. She should thank that white man for moving her bag for her before some black man saw the laptop and snatched it from her.

    • Nancy

They all do that. Take Judge Judy yesterday, for instance: Two Negroes suing each other because Negro 1 got pulled over for blasting his music too loud, and Negro 2 (who had an outstanding warrant) went to jail as a result.

Judy asks, “Why’d you get pulled over?” Disgruntled Negro 1 says, “Cuz I gots me some big rims, ya know?”

      Judy: “You WHAT?”

Negro 1: “Big rims, ya know, they gets a lot of attention…it was cuz of racial profiling.”

Judy: “No it wasn’t, you idiot. The police report says you got pulled over for blasting your music really loud.”

Negro 2: “I tell him to turn down dat music!”

EVERYTHING to them is racism, every arrest is racial profiling.

  • D.B. Cooper

That’s the problem. The Brittney Coopers of this world are long overdue in being reminded just exactly where they stand in our society, which is rock bottom. They’re not smart enough to ever compete with us head to head, and the only power they have is what the lazy, or greedy white male gives them.

  • superlloyd

‘a black man would never get on the train, snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face.’ No, he’d just snatch it and quite possibly gratuitously hit the woman. Urban blacks are so civilised and cultivated.

  • DaveMed

I don’t think I’ve ever used the word “uppity” before, but this incident is the very definition of that word.

Assuming that the entire story was not concocted in her imagination (unlikely, of course), Cooper mentions that she had “Beats headphones on, lost in thought…”

    [insert chortle at bolded]

Well, in the real world, there are people besides Blacks who take trains. Professional victims like Cooper should have the courtesy to postpone their indulgence in what they call “music” until such time as other passengers have had the opportunity to find seats.

In my opinion, the entire story is suspicious. I have never had my belongings moved by someone without their having asked me if they (or I) could do so.

    • Those “beats” headphones are an alleged engineered feat by Compton’s Dr. Dre;
because he’s an engineer like an ear of corn is an engineer.

      • The “Beats” headphones are manufactured by Monster, the same company that makes HDMI cables and similar things. “Dr. Dre” just provides the ghetto imprimatur that is the marketing hook in order to make these cheap gawdy tacky overly bassy headphones the Nike Air Jordans of headphones.

        • Scott Rosen

And the ghetto cred prompts the Africans to pay $300 for $30 headphones. These things and their welfare checks are so easily parted.

  • In the reverse scenario, a black man would never get on the train, snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face.

You’re right, he wouldn’t. He’d run off with it.

BTW, nice clickbait you’ve got there, Salon.

I had a similar situation happen to me on a bus to work.

The bus was full. Standing room only. There was one available seat but a white man had her very large bag on the seat.

I don’t stand if there’s a seat. So I said to her, ‘excuse me is this your bag?’ She didn’t answer me. I asked the question two more times and she didn’t answer.

I took the bag off the seat and put in in her lap.

She was shocked. She didn’t scream or rant but she quickly jumped out of her seat clutching her bag. I slid over so someone else could sit down.

I don’t mind people using seats to hold stuff (I do it all the time) except when people need a seat.

When the bus gets crowded, I take my possessions and free up the seat.

    • Kenner

Yes, but you were obviously dealing with someone a few bricks short of a load. He was dealing with a black woman… Okay, never mind.

      • TruthBeTold

My point, which I didn’t make clear, is that one black woman and one white woman had the same thing happen but the black woman, seeing every interaction with a white person as racism, jumped to the race conclusion first.

This black woman projects her selfish, rude behavior as proof of white racism.

This is a reason I stay away from blacks. Every interaction is a potential mine field.

        • Nancy

I’ve had the good fortune of being the recipient of rude black females a few times while my kids were with me. One incident was when I held the door to the doctor’s office open for an elderly black woman with a walker. Not only did she not say thank you, but she neither looked at me, smiled, nor acknowledged me in any way, even though she’d have a difficult time opening the door herself. The other incidents were of a similar nature.

          Excellent teaching moments.

Black females in Atlanta are the rudest, most entitled creatures in the state. And they drive their cars the same way they do everything else: As though nobody else exists but them.

          • What is it with Atlanta and the most garish elements of black culture? Why Atlanta and not any other bell curve cities? There are so many of these black “reality” shows that are based in Atlanta, and so many black gays and lesbians seem to congregate in Atlanta, that I’m wondering if there’s some sort of mentality among blacks that if you have at least a little bit of money and you really want to show off and be socially gregarious, go to Atlanta.

There has to be a historical reason for it.

          • Nancy

I’ve wondered myself. There was a good bit of competition back in the 40s-50’s between Birmingham and Atlanta to be the “IT” city of the South. Some have argued that, while Whites completely abandoned Birmingham for the suburbs, enough of a White Business element (think Robert Woodruff and Ivan Allen, big companies like Coca-Cola) stayed behind in places like Buckhead and Virginia Highlands to keep the city viable and afloat.

Our counties are very segregated, even within counties themselves, and so is the downtown/midtown area. Blacks, therefore, can live in cheaper housing than whites, but still rub elbows with them by shopping at our malls, patronizing our restaurants and theaters, etc.

Then when whites leave an area, they quickly move in, take it over, and run it into the ground fairly quickly. I believe that’s how most nice areas first developed: as an answer to the Undertow. Some cities in the suburbs, like Tucker in DeKalb County (which was white in the 80s), are already experiencing gentrification, having come full-circle.

I know many blacks here are disgruntled, having chased us all around the city and suburbs, complaining that “we take all the opportunity” with us when we move. Others move in to our old homes, which were really expensive when we lived in them, but have since dropped in value, then they think their “big stuff”. The females blame us for their kids’ bad schools, and get all mad when we move away…yet they continue to chase us.

    • Cecil Broomsted

Somehow I doubt her version of events.

      • Sparky

I think we’ve seen a half dozen or so video clips here on what happens to whites riding buses with large numbers of blacks. Not pretty. But we’re supposed to believe her while on her trip to the victimhood rally.

      • TruthBeTold

Read my comment. I had a similar incident.

What’s important here is her refusal to take any responsibility for her rude behavior and deflect her selfish, boorish behavior to the white mans’ alleged ‘racism’.

        • Cecil Broomsted

I did read it. My point is that I don’t believe her. Knowing blacks as I do, the white man was more likely the one abused. By the way, I was on a bus many years ago with not enough seats when a younger black woman and her grandmother got on. A white man gave the grandmother his seat and stood in the isle the whole trip.

          • TruthBeTold

I have given up my seat to a black woman with a child.

It’s not to teach a young black kid a lesson about white people being nice (but that might be a good lesson to learn) but because I don’t like to watch any mother struggle with any child.

          • Cecil Broomsted

I have no doubt of that. Whether a black woman would do the same for you is not as likely. You are white and naturally are more empathetic and altruistic toward others than other races of people are.

          • SolStans

I’m guilty of having done the same thing, but I’m working on it.

    • Nancy

I think the difference between rude black females and other rude whites is that the females, like the elderly black woman with a walker I posted above, is that the black females seem to go out of their way to be rude. It’s an effort to ignore someone who’s standing in front of you, saying with a smile, “Oh, here, let me get that for you”, especially since she then had to actively ignore not only me, but a couple of my daughters, who were also standing aside to let her pass.

It’s basic anthropological fact that a baby learns how to smile in response to another smiling face at, what, like four weeks? Six? So these sheboons have to deliberately fight what would be an automatic biological response in order to frown and ignore someone who is being polite and friendly, simply because they’re white.

It’s incredible, really. They simply don’t acknowledge basic common courtesy that the rest of us try to extend to others. And they do it ON PURPOSE.

      • David Ashton

The American experience seems a bit different from ours in the UK with elderly Christian ladies from the West Indies. Incidentally, my very rare star black pupil that I have mentioned on AmRen threads in the past has a full page devoted to her adult achievement in (albeit, of course) today’s “Guardian”. She was not only intellectually gifted but ladylike in bearing and good manners. Nevertheless, I think Lynn and Rushton have been on the right track about the average IQ of African-descended people, especially the males.

  • Caucasoid88

Oh, no! He moved your bag to make room for him to sit! Oh, it’s Selma all over again! (Selma, the movie, by the way, is coming out on Christmas.) I guess The Butler, 41, 12 Years a Slave, The Help, Red Tails, and the other evil-whitey movies weren’t enough.

I’m calling it now: Selma wins Oscar for Best Picture.

    • phillyguy

Blackish wins Emmy, Empire wins new drama,, even negro contestants on game shows are being made to win.

      • Screamin_Ruffed_Grouse

Blackish is awful, and I’m actually disappointed by this (as opposed to 99% of Hollywood about which I couldn’t care less). Anthony Anderson is actually one of the precious few actors of any race for whom I have any respect at all. He sells his parts well, performs a wide range of them, and above all I loved his brutally straightforward performance of an absolutely soulless drug lord on The Shield, one of the few shows ever that I don’t feel tries to candy coat or BS us about blacks. Blackish does nothing else.

“I do not exist to make white people comfortable. The fact that I know that and act like it makes white people even more uncomfortable.”

The above paragraph, plus the author’s general tone, suggests that it was no accident that she did not hear the white man when he asked her to kindly move her bag so he could sit. She likely heard him and intentionally ignored him to disrespect him and, as she suggests, make him uncomfortable. This lady talks about the white man disrespecting her due to her race, but, as is often the case with these militant black activists, she’s likely assuming that the white man intentionally acts antagonistic toward blacks because she intentionally acts antagonistic toward whites. She’s projecting.

    • Kenner

Absolutely correct. She felt she was entitled to both seats since her weight was the equivalent of two Rosa Parks.

      • Rick O’Shea

    • JInSanD

Funny, I often think, “I do not exist to make BLACK people comfortable.”

The fact that I know that and act like it makes BLACK people SLIGHTLY uncomfortable yet I’m still forced to pay taxes and share everything created by white people so black people can benefit from everything created by white people including trains, train seats, stereos, computers and even the very idea of a teach-in.

Rosa Parks was indeed put up to it, I believe it was the NAACP though. They had several candidates in mind, but each of the others had too much “dirty laundry” behind them–children out of wedlock, etc. They’d have a hard time finding ANY black woman now to fit the standards they set themselves back in the late 50’s.

      • Claudette Colvin. She actually did violate Montgomery’s segregated public bus laws nine months before Rosa Parks did, but the civil rights movement didn’t push it with her because she was 15 years old at the time and pregnant by a much older already married man.

      • MrGJG

Sounds like they had a hard time in the 50’s. I guess blacks have always been a race of degenerates.

  • serious123

It is clear from her remarks she is indeed an expert on entitlement.

  • Frank_DeScushin

“far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.”

Not us here. We understand full well that a fair percentage of black people can snap and get violent at any moment, not just this moment.

Lady, it’s those guilt-ridden whites who call themselves allies to militant blacks like you who have no real clue how short the black fuse is.

    • Reynardine

Fuse? What fuse? I’m on a hair trigger.

    • It’s the weak seed whites she is addressing in her screed. She must know on some instinctive level that realists and racially aware whites (a redundancy) don’t care what she thinks about anything and wouldn’t be shamed by this or any other dumb internet clickbait rant.

Blacks see altruism and generosity as weakness. She is browbeating the only white allies she has left in this country. Eventually she’s going to run out of listeners, and then what?

      • Nancy

Don’t worry…Rosie will always support her nonsense.

  • Dalliance

I guess the only way to treat a black badly is to be a racist. So much for equality.

  • Ed

I’ve seem pics of Brittany Cooper she’s like 300lbs, He rightfully thought she was unworthy of any courtesy due to her grotesque physical appearance and seat hogging behavior.

    • Irishgirl

To be fair, at 300 pounds she probably needs two seats.

      • In that case, she should have paid for two. It wasn’t that white fellow who made her into an obese cheapskate.

  • Lewis33

I guarantee you this guy was not a race realist (or racist for that matter) before he met Mizzzz Cooper, but he just might be one now. Welcome to the club old boy.

  • phillyguy

This was all made up by the way overweight chimpanzee, I can see her now, sitting on her stinkin couch typing on a laptop with her right hand and her left hand in a bag of Popeyes Chicken.

    • DaveMed

      Lol

  • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

Did she not see the train was filling up and that she was taking up two seats? Does she really need a white man to educate her as to simple manners and consideration for others? This clown obviously thought she deserved two seats and could not care less that others needed them. I am also sure nothing was “shoved in her face”. The last thing some white guy trying to get to work wants is a fight with some overweight unruly black woman with a huge chip on her shoulder.

  • Kenner

She was on her way to Ferguson for a ‘Teach-In’. Teaching hatred for whites.

  • Aussie_Thinker

Why does it have to be about the ‘white’ guy, though? Why is it his whiteness that means he does that, and not the fact that he may just have a short temper, or be in a hurry, or be having a bad day?

Someone is a bit racist methinks.

    • Perhaps he felt – yes, you guessed it – “entitled” to the seat for which he had paid. I know I would have been; I have no sense of humor at all about money. None. I’ve loaned money to friends – no interest, no collateral, pay me back when you can – but a commercial transaction or investment is a very different animal.

      • Nancy

I was thinking that as well, and I come from a long line of Philly/New Jersey Italians who likewise have no sense of humor where money is concerned.

I am the only person I know who has NO uncles with all ten fingers intact.

  • Doomispixulated

Ya, I never heard of blacks ever invading anyone else’s space, or get in their faces, or act aggressively,….strange, and on public transportation too, just hard to believe the nerve of that white dude.

  • Steve_in_Vermont

“Never put your hands on my property”. First, I’d be willing to bet this guy would have done the same to anyone. We’re talking NY here, not a day trip of folks from a convent. Second, I’ll bet the way she said that would not have endeared her to anyone. “NEVER put your hands on MY PROPERTY” meaning (or I’ll tear your heart out and shove it down your throat). She sounds like a perfect party guest.

    • Nancy

Now imagine nearly three years of teaching in the ghetto with women just like her, dealing with kids’ “baby mommas” who are exactly like her as well.

I’m lucky I’m still sane enough to write a coherent sentence.

  • DD-762

According to The Daily Banter, the following quote was attributed to “Dr.” Cooper:

“Beyond shock, I continue to be appalled at the extensive lengths to which the police have gone to protect Officer Darren Wilson and his family from any public reproach or reprisal in Mike’s death. They delayed the release of his name in order to provide him enough time to leave town.”

    His family? WTH?

    • SaggyGenes

Don’t you mean the Daily Bantu?

  • shatwood

“I do not exist to make white people comfortable.”

    No, sh*t, Sherlock.

  • Irishgirl

“…and black people never presume they are entitled…”

Please tell me this is from The Onion.

  • dd121

Oh, I know how short their entitlement fuse is. That’s why I find these people so distasteful that I avoid any contract with them if humanly possible.

    • Life’s too short to deal with their nonsense. The mulatto kid in my area is a decent sort, studying film production. I’ve seen some of the stuff he did in high school: he and his friends casting spells at each other with damned fine special effects (one of them was turned into a skeleton which took several more steps before the bones exploded). That’s cool. We always say “hello” and sometimes chat a bit. That said, I wouldn’t let him in my house if it was raining battery acid outside. The element of trust is totally gone where blacks are concerned, and trust is what builds and maintains a cohesive civilization.

      • dd121

Like you, I’ve had a few superficial acquaintances of blacks over the years. The total number of black friends in my life: 0.

  • Great article!
Now we know why those Chicago urban “teens” attacked the White seasoned citizen on the train. Pffffffffffffft

  • Truthseeker

Black America’s fuse is getting short, huh? Newsflash: You only have the political power, freedom and social influence you do because of White people.

You resent us? How about reflecting on the fact that Whites were 90% of this country just 50 years ago? A race with higher average intelligence than you far outnumbered you and controlled just about everything. Genocide has taken place throughout world history, and yet, those White people who supposedly hated you so much let you live. Those White people chose to pass laws giving you rights equal to us. Those White people even passed laws giving you preferred treatment over us. Today, those White people allow you to be represented in the society we built far beyond your numbers or worth.

Not once have you ever acknowledged the effort. Nothing we’ve done attempting to help you achieve equality has ever been seen as anything but an invitation to demand more from us.

You think your fuse is short? How about the people who’ve spent the last 50 years watching their culture and heritage be trashed in the name of fairness to a perpetually-whining group of ingrates who contribute little of real value? Your dysfunctional behavior and constant griping has awakened a large number of Whites who once desperately wanted to give you a chance. Little by little, you’re using up all the goodwill we have. And once it runs out, you’re going to realize too late how good you really had it.

    • See The Future

      Well said

  • Andy

“To have a white man in 2014 demand that I listen when he speaks is the height of racial disrespect and indignity.”

    How dare he?!

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

    Boo Hoo HOO!

Smug with a racist chip on her shoulder.

Stupid but she doesn’t know it.

She and her silly article reflect an agenda that should be mocked, ridiculed and laughed at.

Here are a few White children enjoying White privilege…until they were murdered by blacks.

    • See The Future

Too many white people are so sick now that they even grant forgiveness to the evil savages that murder their children. What ever happened to the natural instinct of an eye for an eye? The more accepting, apologizing and forgiving white people are to the criminal acts of savages the worse it will get.

  • IstvanIN

In the reverse scenario, a black man would never get on the train,
snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face. But then black
women are rarely entitled to the courtesies proffered to white women,
and black people never presume they are entitled to occupy interracial
    spaces so aggressively.

Oh please, that is a bigger lie than the one about Michael Brown being a gentle giant.

And further more blacks have a mentality on trains that they can take up as many seats as they want to. On NJTransit they would flip a 3 seater around so that two guys could take up six seats. Blacks rarely remove their belonging from an empty seat so someone else sit down. The poor guy probably said “excuse me” a half-dozen times before he gave up trying to get her to move her stuff. This was not an example of racism, it was an example of how selfish and rude blacks are.

  • TheCogitator

This negress is clueless and is the one without manners or consideration for those around her. She admits she had on headphones listening to black noise. When the man asked to move her bag, she did not respond because she was in her own world listening to her “music.” A considerate person of any race would realize that the train was crowded and that someone would want the seat, so such persons would not leave their bag on the seat. This is so typical black. They are in the wrong, but are angry at someone else who is actually the victim of their uncivilized behavior.

    • pcmustgo

A civilized person would even apologize to the man for mistakenly blocking the seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Andy

“That line there, the command that when he, whoever he was, spoke, I should automatically listen encapsulates the breadth of the battle against racism we have to fight in this country.”

Doesn’t sound very broad to me. White people expecting common courtesy?

  • Brian Jr.

This story is 100% fiction. I would bet my first born son that this angry black woman made this tall tale up. I cant believe how far we have fallen as a country.

    • Alexandra1973

Or maybe a white man asked her to move her stuff and she got an attitude. Could have happened and like your typical black she exaggerated, lied, etc.

Then again I can’t imagine anyone with sense sitting next to someone who likes to throw her weight around–literally and figuratively!

      • Mike Gavin

Asking a black to act politely or civilly can get you punched in the face.

Things like “excuse me” when they’re blocking the aisle in the grocery store, saying “can you please stop cursing around these children?”, or “can you please move your car, you’re blocking the driveway?”.

I’ve seen every one of these scenarios play out and every time, the black gets indignant when asked to behave in a civil manner, to the point of either threatening to unleash, or unleashing violence on the person who dared make such a racist request.

        This woman’s attitude is common.

I moved away from a diverse area 9 years ago and I”ve never regretted it.

White people by and large are just more polite and civil than blacks.

The only exception I’ve ever seen is in majority white areas, like coastal New Hampshire. The few blacks I met there acted as white as their neighbors.

But once the % of blacks reaches critical mass in any community you start to see the behaviors I noted above.

        Avoid.

        Around blacks never relax.

        • saxonsun

Yikes! You mean there are actually blacks in beautiful coastal NH?

  • kikz2

disrespect…for humanity in general……. began with her belongings in an adjacent seat on what would become a crowded train, then exponentially expanded with use of her headphones and disregard for what was going on in the car.

  • disqus_Xz3UA6obwj

An irrational black woman with a huge chip on her shoulder who feels entitled to take up two seats. Who would have ever thought!

    • pcmustgo

Entitled? She’s so fat she DOES take up two seats!

  • ncpride

Being that this nonsense was published in Salon, the most ridiculously White hating rag on the net, I’m surprised at the blowback this black privileged negro received. Pretty funny.

  • Sick of it

Basically, she felt entitled to more space than she paid for and then proceeds to complain about white male privilege or whatever? TNB.

  • pcmustgo

I don’t find Black women to be ugly in general, but boy is she ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • cherrie greenbaum123

OH, I’d say she represents the women of her race very well. Pseudo intellectual, grossly mannered, uncivilized, seething with anger, borderline violent.

  • Johnny

If she didn’t realize he was there until he moved the bag, how does she know how hard he tried to get her attention? Maybe he figured tapping her on the shoulder would set her off also. Most likely it would have resulted in another screed. Any annoyance, perceived slight, or inconvenience to a black, is always because of “racism.” Of course, this simple misunderstanding would require a physical assault on the White male. Then she wonders why blacks get shot by police and others. And a black man would get on the train, make a move on the White woman, hopefully get rejected, flash her his credentials, then call her racist. Might even follow her off the train and rape, kill, and set her afire.

    • Tim_in_Indiana

If he had tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention, she probably would have charged him with assault! GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME! HOW DARE YOU TOUCH ME! POLICE! POLICE!

  • Conrad

“In the reverse scenario, a black man would never get on the train, snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face.”
REALLY!? I guess we aren’t seeing the same pictures & videos.

  • Chris

Perceived white entitlement meets perceived black victimization. Sure, go ahead and reduce the history of race relations in North America down to one encounter on a train. Idiot black wench.

  • Who Me?

I just looked her up on google. That is one fat sowpotamus! She was obviously taking up 2 seats with her broad backside and a third with her stuff. Then having successfully commandeered three seats she slaps the headphones on and proceeds to ignore everyone and everything in her near vicinity. And after all that she has the unmitigated GALL to accuse a white man of racism for DARING to move her crap out of the seat so he can sit? So she thinks blacks are on a short fuse, she needs to look around, at the length of White people’s fuses these days–‘caus honey, we all outta fuse and about to go BOOM!

    • Vito Powers

I agree. It seems like she was looking for a confrontation, or most likely, she’s magnifying the incident out of proportion. The white devil man probably politely asked her to move her stuff and she’s pissed that she had to back down to her imaginary white supremacy worldview.

      • cherrie greenbaum123

        Sounds much more likely.

    • cherrie greenbaum123

I looked her up too. She is one big, black, fat slob.

  • Chris

Brittney Cooper is Assistant Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies. That might explain the ever-present persecution complex. She’s always looking for it, and when you look for it you find it.

    • Alexandra1973

From the looks and sounds of it, probably part of the fat acceptance movement as well.

I’m no lightweight myself but at least I’m doing something about it.

      • IstvanIN

        She isn’t fat, she thick!

        • Alexandra1973

          Thick-headed as well.

          • IstvanIN

But she got bootay to bump!

        • Who Me?

The term “Chunky Monkey” comes to mind.

      • I always quietly cheer to myself when I see someone exercising when they obviously need it. My best friend of 33 years is tragically overweight, but he has a bicycle and now lives on flat ground, so he’s slowly working it off. I want him to live a nice, long time. I have rebuilt another decent mountain bike in order to drop it off at his place so we can ride together when I visit. Bicycle helmets are cheap at Wally World.

One of my other friends was part of the fat acceptance movement until she needed a quadruple bypass operation in her 40’s. It’s not healthy.

    • MekongDelta69

“Brittney Cooper is Assistant Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies.”

That simply means nothing more than she’s an affirmative action student, who sat in her seat long enough to get a completely useless ‘degree’ in nothing worthwhile, and the only job she’s ‘qualified’ for is to pass on the Marxist b.s. to the next generation of useless fools.

This has been going on since the middle sixties.

      • Musashi5000

        Well said.

      • ViktorNN

You gotta laugh at the name “Brittney.”

She’s Salon’s resident cranky black person columnist.

Every good white liberal site has to have at least one. Preferably a twin set of male and female, with one being gay and the other half Jew.

They provide the clickbait that gives white liberals their daily dose of self-hating anguish that allows them to feel superior to rest of us evil white people.

  • Bo_Sears

How can this nation hold together when the writer above is candid to say that she had an “urge to pummel this man” and to claim that “far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.” Assuming those are both correct statements, then we have a radically different set of views which really make America into two countries, not one. This is the larger question, what do we do about these claims? I don’t want to live in her country at all.

  • cherrie greenbaum123

Let’s take things one at a time.
    1) What the f*ck is a “teach in”?
    2) This is a “professor” who does not use prepositions?
    3) Did she pay for two seats for her fat, negro ( )( ) ?
    4) Who does she think she is, ordering a white man around?
    5) Does she think a black man would have given her bag back?
    6) What does she expect the guy to do, stand while her bag takes up his seat?

Blacks have a major attitude problem. This proves they have gone way beyond the scope of being able to be tolerated in ordinary society. And whites have only themselves to blame for entitled African Princesses like this.

    • Alexandra1973

As far as #2 on your list…there’s a principal in Paterson, New Jersey that might be shown the door…the sign in front of the school had a bunch of misspelled words. Go figure.

  • Cathy Madera

Just who is trying to control the space? on a crowed train with her “beats” on she takes up two seats. One for her and one for her stuff yet is the “white man” is acting entitled? Wow! she is guilty of everything she accuses this man of and hangs herself with her own argument.

    The word is Projection!

  • Garrett Brown

A white hand belonged to a white man you say? Salon never fails to impress in the quality if their writers.

  • Jo

He probably paid for part of her luggage and computer in the name of welfare. Wish more Whites had his gumption.

  • Broz Tito

I’m glad I live in a racially homogenous area without the additional overhead of mass transit.

  • MBlanc46

    Can you say, “Uppity”?

  • Lee_CPA

Let me put this as nicely as I can: If you act like a b!tch, dont be surprised when people treat you like a b!tch.
    .

    • Alexandra1973

Personally I had another word in mind.

Oh, I am so tired of their antics!

  • MekongDelta69

“In the reverse scenario, a black man would never get on the train, snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face.”

I’ve been riding on subways since I was a kid (i.e. When America was America), and this lady is absolutely delusional. (On purpose, I might add, just so she could b!tch about being ‘perpetually oppressed’ by the ‘evil White man’).

    What she hallucinated:
“…it occurred to me that far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.”

    Reality:
“…it occurred to me that far too many black people really don’t get how short white America’s collective fuse is in this moment.”

    • as mad as an angry dodo bird on his way to extinction’s door. A lot of clucking and feathers but not much else I’m afraid.

      • LexiconD1

After looking at her picture, that would be **hoof**, right?

  • MekongDelta69

P.S. Since you can’t upload a pic, when you Edit a comment, the attached is the reason Mzzzzz. Cooper took up two seats on the iron horse:

    • Musashi5000

      That’s big.

      • MekongDelta69

That’s ‘two seats on the subway’ big.

        • Musashi5000

          damn

        • cherrie greenbaum123

That’s “too many trips to Subway’ big.

          • I once managed a Subway and ate there every shift, without gaining any weight. This one has clearly been eating a lot of McDamage.

I am so not “Lovin’ It.”

    • Robert Smith

I get it now. The white guy had to sit in her lap. She should be charged double.

    • John Smith

      It has its own gravity.

      • The white passenger was lucky to escape orbital capture. Since a retrograde orbit is normal for a captured satellite, the poor guy would have spiraled inward due to tidal interactions, broken up and formed a ring as he passed Cooper’s Roche Limit.

        I don’t have a PhD, but I’m pretty smart.

    • Bill Moore

      Hello MekongDelta69,

Thank you for posting the photo.

It’s good to see what we’re discussing.

Not just the immense size, but the arrogant, ignorant, disgusting, mean look on her face.

      Bill Moore

  • Robert Smith

We are supposed to be intimidated that the black population’s fuse is short? It’s not short enough for me.

    • Lenin

It’s cute how they think they would have an actual chance in any real racial conflict.

      • Musashi5000

It’s part of the package and lends the absurdity of it a kind of pathetic charm.

      • Bill Moore

        Hello Lenin,

I say, bring it on. Go ahead, Africans, start Civil War 2.

I have some getting even to do.

        Thank you,
        Bill Moore

  • Musashi5000

    Black America’s fuse is short?

    Let’s go.

  • Rhialto

Black are, as a group, socially perceptive. Perhaps what is motivating Cooper’s emotional turmoil is that a White man is not putting up with Black antisocial behaviour. This scares all but the stupidest Blacks.

  • Evette Coutier

So this woman thinks it’s her entitled privilege to hog two spaces on a crowded train. Blacks view their rudeness as a black privilege, but whine like babies when someone objects. You can’t reason with such irrational and selfish people.

    • Musashi5000

      They believe they’re “owed”.

      I think it’s genetic.

    • Your word “hog” brought me such a smile that my face now hurts.

      • Evette Coutier

        Tyvm.

  • Paleoconn

You can sense the savagery in her comment about resisting the urge to pummel this man. For these people, there is no response other than violence to what they feel is rude behavior by a White. The fact is, she is seething for what Derb calls her failed staircase wit, ie. she wishes she had a better reply to this ‘jerk’ and she feels defeated and helpless, therefore hate for him and his kind.

  • Lenin

It is truly amazing that the dindus continue to honestly believe they are a necessary and/or important component to this country. They add nothing. They contribute nothing. They produce nothing. They could disappear entirely and it would not even be blip in the cultural, economic, or social radar–at least not in any negative sense. Yet they still think they are entitled to “respect” from whites, i.e kowtowing and apologies.

    • IstvanIN

If they all vanished we would be immeasurably better off. Even Mexicans are more useful than blacks.

  • Emblematic

“and black people never presume they are entitled to occupy interracial spaces so aggressively.”

Pretty much the funniest sentence I’ve ever read at AmRen. Just perfect.

    • Musashi5000

Maybe she’s the only black person she knows?

Most of the many that I encounter are consumed by their pitiful sense of entitlement…….as though anyone should care.

    • cherrie greenbaum123

Yo, she hab a phd ya’ll.

      • BillMillerTime

Assistant Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies. lol…

        • John Smith

Basketweaving would be more intellectually distinguished (and useful).

        • cherrie greenbaum123

I hear she minored in Labial Assertiveness.

      • Tim

It`s Y`all and please don`t mistake a Texas twang for Black mumbling… LOL

    • ThatWhiteGuy

Pseudo-intellectual babble, perhaps the only thing leftist SJWs have to offer.

Somehow, She missed the HISTORY behind the city of Ferguson?….

  • This “teach in” (whatever that is) was supposed to take place at New York University.

  • [Guest]

    >>>…his own sense of white male somebodiness…

Any white man’s sense of “somebodiness” is superior to this black woman’s nonsense.

    • John Smith

Because he’s probably paying for her and her ilk to ride for free.

  • A Freespeechzone

Notice her bag was deliberately put on a seat to prevent and dare someone to challenge her ‘entitlement’ to more space than is reasonable on a very crowded train.

Just another angry, confrontational negress with a ‘chip on her shoulder’–she got it knocked off this time.

We need this to happen more often.

  • “Never out your hands on my property.”

“Get your garbage the effing eff out of my effing way, next time” is the appropriate response, along with “I am not taking orders from your stupid black mouth.”

Many of us are done with that “stuff”, probably forever.

  • striket3

I hardly believe the events played out this way. She mentions that the train is full yet puts her purse on an empty seat rather than underneath. A confrontation is exactly what she was looking for and I bet she ignored his pleas to move her purse. She wasn’t looking out the window with a purpose. Instead she was deliberately ignoring him pretending to be lost in her music.

    • Musashi5000

      They’re unteachable.

    • R L Buds

Thats what they do. Block the aisle at the store and look thru you, limp in front of your car and stare you down, rap about their desire for white girls-all of these things are to get a response from us, so they can try to make us out to be the bad guys.
The best way to deal with them is just ignore them whenever possible. They hate that, they are like kids in that regard (and many others).

  • John Smith

White Americans don’t give a goddamn what 13% of the population thinks, especially when they get preferential treatment in educational opportunities and govt. benefits, drive our taxes up and rob, rape and murder out of all proportion to their percentage of the population. In short, White America could get along just fine without you dumb monkeys, so could you say the same if we went John Galt on your nappy-haired thug asses?

  • Reverend Bacon

She, of course, was completely unaware of her presumed black privilege, whereby she hogged two seats on a crowded train. The world is full of entitled idiots like this, who completely reject the social contract until it suits them. I think he showed great restraint in not knocking her stuff to the floor after she was too engrossed in her “beats” to realize that she was being ridiculously rude. And if she had pummeled him, perhaps she would have gotten a trip to the ICU on her way to jail. She sure deserved both of those.

…it occurred to me that far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.

Apparently, it also didn’t occur to her that a lot of white people don’t give a sh*t what black America’s “collective fuse” is.

  • John Smith

    I went to Salon and
saw her picture – she makes even a mandinga like Moochele look somewhat
attractive by comparison. She’s obviously never passed a KFC without
    stopping in.

“As I fought back the urge to pummel this man, it occurred to me that far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.”
Wow, that almost sounds like a threat towards white people. And I think that black people have no idea how short many white fuses are these days. It’s a shame how many more white people will die at the hands of black savages before it is utterly impossible for whites to continue to ignore race and behave correctly. It will be their faithlessness to their own race that will cause these deaths. However, eventually the blacks will be the ones who suffer badly when White America can no longer stand their violence, hatred, and above all their insanity in continuing to believe whites have done evil to them when it has been just the opposite. Whites will rear up and put blacks in a situation that will make Jim Crow look like the good old days.

    • I have heard and read so many comments from seemingly average, unassuming white people these days that agitate for total segregation from blacks. Many even go so far as to suggest deporting them all back to Africa. I don’t know if the average black in this country even realizes how woefully close to the brink they are. The black sense of entitlement is breathtaking when one ponders how much better all our lives would be if they were gone from our societies, and just how easy it would be to make that happen if whites suddenly got the will to correct our ancestors’ dreadful mistake.

  • George Costanza

I told a black person once that “just because someone doesn’t like you doesn’t mean that they’re racist..It just means that they don’t like YOU!!”

  • gemjunior

Black privilege is putting all your stuff all over the only seat left and expecting a white person to stand for the entire ride so your laptop can have it’s own seat, because it is an important laptop since it belongs to a black person. The nerve of this white man after all he’s done to her to make her life so much harder.

    • He should have thrown that garbage straight down the aisle or out the window. I don’t even issue warnings anymore. I’ve already been to prison, so the prospect of more of that doesn’t particularly alarm me. When I have paid for something, such as a seat on a bus or train, I issue orders, and do not make requests. Orders are to be carried out instantly and without question.

      • Bill Moore

        Hello,

The mental image of you sitting on the laptop and the African eeking and ooking about it gave me a belly laugh.

        Thank you for that,
        Bill Moore

        • I reckon those things are called “laptops”, rather than “paying passengers” for a reason.

  • fgbrunner3

IMO, the woman is a racist.

  • Scott Rosen

I was reading the comments on the actual Salon article. Interesting that even the type of people who reguarly waste their time reading a rag like Salon have such a negative view of this ugly tub of lard known as “ProfessorCrunk.”

  • tobytylersf

If she’s telling us white folks that we’d better avoid black people and eschew any interaction with them whatsoever, then I think we’ve at last found common ground.

  • De’Ontavious Jizzaiah Jones

No doubt white man was doubly ticked to see yet another black with expensive Dr . Dre headphones. I know I was ticked when blacks declared indigent by the court and given court appointed attorneys started showing up with those headphones and I pads.

    • bubo

Blacks are suckers. Phil Knight made Nike into a multi billion dollar company off of blacks and so has Monster Cable with their junk headphones fronted by the rapper Dr. Dre. I have some 30 dollar Sony headphones that I bought in 2001 that sound better and will last longer than that crap.

  • Evette Coutier

This is why blacks were made to sit at the back of the bus. No one wants to sit next to her rude fat behind.

  • bubo

All of Ms. Cooper’s problems with white people could be solved with the purchase of one airline ticket to the black nation of her choice. They never leave, though.

  • KenelmDigby

Black people are the biggest thieves on this planet.
Blacks will steal anything that is not nailed down.
Now, *everyone* who has actually had knowledge and experience of blacks knows full well the truth of this statement. Only liars are people who don’t know blacks will dispute it.
In fact, I would state that the black tendency to theft is overwhelmingly strong and powerful that it is genetically determined. Someday a scientist will find the precise DNA alelles responsible.
That we have a black woman popmpously writing an article about ‘grabbing other peoples’ property’ is rather like the pot calling the kettle black.

  • LiveFreeOrDie

Complete separation is the only answer.

  • Harry

Remember taking the bus back in junior high school and there was always the older kid who would hog the entire seat, not allowing anyone else to sit next to them? The above article reinforces a theory of mine: Their emotional maturity does not continue past puberty.

  • John Barleycorn

Whites and Blacks do not live well together . . . it’s been that way for eons .
Let us work to keep it that way..

  • model1911

“….I suddenly saw a white hand shoving my work carry-on toward me. Startled, I looked up to see the hand belonged to a white guy…”
Lets see ,she was startled that the white hand was connected to a white guy.
    Bright one isn’t she.

  • Earl P. Holt III

They are children, emotionally and intellectually: Rarely can they be reached with reason. Sadly, facts, evidence, logic and reason play no role in the lives of most of them.

  • LHathaway

Sounds like the guy just wanted to sit down. So who is it that felt ‘entitled’ to another passengers seat, on a train she admits was full? I often don’t understand black morality. This lady has an entire essay to explain it to us and yet she still fails to. I don’t deny there may be some kind of morality or thought process there. I simply do not understand it. On the other hand, segregation would solve all her problems with whites, would it not?

  • Screamin_Ruffed_Grouse

In the reverse scenario, a black man would never get on the train, snatch up a white woman’s bag, and shove it in her face.

Nope, just grab it and bolt off the train.

Dammit, I knew there was no way I’d be the first person to go there, but I had to.

Anyway, no news here. Just another negress who can’t see past her own skin.

…far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.

Again, nothing new. Just another negress who can’t get out of her own head, who thinks that blacks have some magical insight or knowledge which Whites lack; and that they’re going to rise up and take us by storm any minute now (a feat which they’ve yet to accomplish at any point in human history). In reality, Whites are well aware of block’s short fuse. It’s always short. I doubt the writer has much of a clue how weary Whites are becoming of putting up with their violence and all around uncivilized behavior. The real surprise, should the SHTF, will be how outnumbered and outgunned and completely without allies blacks will find themselves.

  • May I humbly suggest that AmRen start using a service like donotlink to deprive these clickbait anti-white publications of valuable clicks? That way we can read them at the source without boosting their SEO or giving them hits. Here is a FAQ about how it works: http://www donotlink com/dnl/faq

Please note that I don’t work for that company and am not affiliated with them in any way, but we use them on another site I frequent with good results.

“As I fought back the urge to pummel this man, it occurred to me that far
too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s
collective fuse is in this moment.”

Black America’s fuse is short? Then do something about it Bantu, I DARE you.

  • Herman

Black people don’t even get along with each other.

So why are we surprised by this?

  • Snazzy Snook

Yeah well maybe, the man wouldn’t have to touch your s#!t if you wern’t hogging a whole seat with your crap , you idiot .. BTW, you have way too much time on your hands ,lady.. You might want to look into a second job..

  • 1G25

“… it occurred to me that far too many white people really don’t get how short black America’s collective fuse is in this moment.”

WOW! Maybe the guy should have played the “black bear hunting game” with her. She said at the outset she had her earphones on; he said he’d tried to ask her to move her crap out of an unoccupied seat. Oblivious to her surroundings, and inconsiderate to dump her stuff in an unoccupied seat on a crowded train.

But the “white hand” was entirely at fault.

And they still wonder why the “N-word” was invented.
    .

  • PouponMarx

What he should have said was, “I’m 1/64 black you gon be my bitch, my ho”. Then slapped her in the face and rifled her puss.

  • As a (mostly) white man, I would like to admit that I simply do not care how short black America’s fuse is at the moment. This isn’t a 3000 mile-wide prison yard in which we have to worry about everyone’s feelings. In prison, one has to take under consideration the fact that the other guy might have just lost his last appeal or that his wife may have recently filed for divorce. Prisons also don’t allow inmates to carry box-cutters.

I am always very polite when using public transportation; I took Greyhound north for Thanksgiving, as the rest of us had already left (I had to finish off some court-ordered community service for running my mouth), and tucked my backpack behind my legs and kept my large cloth shopping bag on my lap, each completely out of everyone’s way. Doing this costs me absolutely nothing. When I am riding on public transportation, I do so to get from one place to another; I’m not there to be comfortable. On the other hand, I weigh approximately half of Cooper’s bloated bulk, so what constitutes comfort to a fellow with a hiker’s build and that of a lardball African’t “queen” will doubtless vary to a considerable degree.

I have taken trains in Britain, Continental Europe, Japan, China and Australia, as well as buses in those and other countries. I never once encountered such a self-admitted sense of entitlement as this critter expressed in her own words via “Salon”. If blacks are “special”, as this Cooper land-whale seems to suggest, she is accidentally making a fine case for a return to separate seating.

  • It might have happened, so it could therefore “raise awareness” and thus still constitute a “teachable moment”. Perhaps nothing happened at all – she once saw white guy was in decent physical shape and hates herself for being grotesque.

  • R L Buds

“To have a white man in 2014 demand that I listen when he speaks is the height of racial disrespect and indignity.”

So the height is really not that bad, so what are they complaining about? Maybe if they saw real racism they would be thankful we have allowed them to stay among us.

I saw a funny story about the top 10 most racist countries in the world. Number 4 or 5 was one that killed 80 or 800 thounsand of them (it doesn’t really matter how many), but sitting on the back of the bus is worse because whitey does it, WTF is wrong with them?

  • Earl Turner

Yeah it was all the white guy.

Listen Shaniqua, I’ve been around you primates my whole life. Here’s what happened. You plopped your fat disgusting smelly behind down and put your crap on the other seat knowing someone needed to sit down and hoping it would be a white person who asked for the seat.

    You got your wish.

Now don’t try to lie and say you didn’t know he was there. You knew. He tried several times to get your attention and you ignored him. You poked your big fat bottom lip out and scowled and looked straight ahead and just ignored him, all the while inside you were high-fiving yourself for being a racist towards a “cracka”.

Then you got called on your monkeyshines and you’re still in shock.

We’re tired of you all and we’re not taking your nonsense any more.

  • rebelcelt

it sounds like a white man that did not give a care about her being black. Quit taking up space that does not belong to you. Stop making me ask permission to sit where I like.

    • Oh, no! Not a colorblind society in which we will be judged by the content of our character! Anything but that!

  • The comments section on Salon seems to have this ghettopotamus being taken well to task.

    • John Jackson

Should we do a count down to when the comments will be closed for that article?

  • nexus974

I don’t think I’ve read a bigger load of crap in my 48 years of life!

  • hastings88

The same guy would probably do the same thing to a white passenger. He may just be a poorly-raised brat. (I’d bet he’s a rap-head whigger.) I am astonished by the loss of civility in our society even among whites.

  • John Stone

I wonder how long he was asking nicely before he acted in new yorker fashion? She admits she was lost in thought and had beats on,maybe too loud, and looking out the window, perhaps dreaming of a white Christmas . If it had been me. I would have apologized to the man instead of having a victimized stew on salon but that’s just me.

  • Thanks! I posted there just now.

  • Of course it has NOTHING to do with the fact she was taking up two spots in a crowded train. Nothing to do with the fact that she plugged her ears so that she couldn’t hear people asking her to move her stuff. It’s GOT to be about race. How typical.

  • Katherine McChesney

    Another angry black woman.

  • I believe the term for Cooper’s behavior is “passive-aggressive”.

  • Jared Arrevois

F*ck you, lady, and your short fuse. You and it can both go to hell.

  • nexus974

Load of crap. I don’t buy a word of it.

  • princejeb

Blacks have so little regard for other people, their space, their ears, or social graces in general.

Kind of both sad an hilarious that this woman assumed his moving the bad was ‘racism’. Somehow she felt she owned the other seat on the train and that having the bag on her lap was some sort of offense.

And clearly she was in her own world, probably eyes shut. then wonders why this was his only option to take the seat on a crowded train.

    Just crazy.

The subways get so crowded that you can’t barely stand and you NEED to sit to make room for others.

    • Nancy

Oh, no, not THEM. They don’t have to even acknowledge other people exist, much less observe common courtesy.

  • adplatt126

Fuckin’ monkey is so lost in her cRap music no one can get her attention. So a gentleman moves her bag so he might have somewhere to sit, and it’s white entitlement? Good lord, send that ho to the back of the bus.

  • SolStans

I’m pretty sure a racist would have preferred standing to trying to squeeze into the remain 2/3 seat that Precious’s ass wasn’t taking up.

  • Pat Kittle

By her own acknowledgement this repulsive prima donna was sitting on a train where the only available seat was the one next to her, taken up by her accessory bag.

Under the circumstances a normal person would free up the seat without anyone having to ask.

But not Ms. Short-Fuse. How dare an uppity Whitey simply move her bag aside. She “fought the urge to pummel this man” while threatening the rest of us Whiteys with “how short black America’s collective fuse is.”

How much longer will Whitey’s fuse hold out?

  • Pat Kittle

    She’s actually a rocket scientist.

Play her speech backwards at 1/3 speed. She’s proposing the optimal flightpath for “New Horizons” as it approaches Pluto.
