Family of Cop-Killer: If Officer Had Stayed in His Car, He Wouldn’t Have Been Shot

Mike Miller, IJReview, July 7, 2014

The family of a man who used a semi-automatic rifle to kill an Indianapolis police officer Saturday night says it isn’t fair that the alleged shooter–Major Davis, Jr.–should “keep being dragged through the mud.” They also blamed the officer for not staying in his police car.

As reported by WISH-TV, Davis was seen brandishing a semi-automatic rifle Saturday night in Indianapolis, which led to a 911 call that dispatched police to look for him:

When IMPD Officer Perry Renn found Davis at 34th Street and Forest Manor Avenue, Davis opened fire on Officer Renn. Davis was critically wounded in the gunfight, but survived. Officer Renn died of wounds sustained in the firefight. Davis now faces a charge of murder.

Davis’ family has now spoken out about the murder–and basically blamed Officer Renn and the Indianapolis Police Department for the shooting:

‘He wasn’t a bad person. His father was killed by IMPD. That is enough to hurt a person and scar him for life,’ said Davis’ grandmother, Pam Moornan.

The facts, as reported by

Davis’ father, Major Davis, Sr. had been arrested 15 times and did three years in prison on a drug charge. He died of a heart attack in 2003 while in handcuffs after fighting with police as he attempted to avoid a public intoxication charge.

More from WISH-TV:

‘Major is not a bad person in spite of what happened. Things happen,’ said Pam Moornan.

‘I don’t know how the police was [sic] shooting. I don’t know if they took concern of any kids running around,’ said Yvonne Moornan.

The family said it “felt sorry” for Officer Renn’s family, but that the shooting may have been avoided if he had stayed in his car since he could see Davis had a gun. Incidentally, the alleged killer has an extensive criminal background that dates back to 2006.

What a concept! If only the police would stop doing their jobs they would stay safe.

    • Sick of it

On the other hand, if they really did their jobs, we would all be safer. Decisions, decisions.

    • Jacobite2

You think you’re being sarcastic? The ghetto guys believe exactly that. Next to welfare, crime is the ghetto’s only other major industry. That’s what they do for a living when they don’t get picked in the NBA draft. They hate cops, and they won’t co-operate with the law (snitch) in criminal investigations. They refuse to bring guilty verdicts when on jury duty (O.J.). I say, build a border fence around them (like “The Points” tried to do in Detroit), yes, with moats and alligators. Allow no cops inside, and no natives outside. Win-win.

  • Truthseeker

These Blacks are all but admitting that they can’t be expected to have any accountability for their actions.

    • Einsatzgrenadier

Only whites have the capacity to enjoy freedom. Blacks can only thrive in a police state with white supervision.

      • Jacobite2

You’re concerned that they thrive, because….?

    • They are exactly admitting that they are irresponsible children and a completely inferior species.

      • propagandaoftruth

Children of the corn. But not as hauntingly beautiful. Just spooky.

      • Conrad

        That should be subspecies.

        • ElComadreja

I don’t know. I think there’s a lot of merit in the theory that they’re a degenerate form of homo erectus.

          • The Homo erectus species appeared in Asia and Africa so closely timed together in the fossil record that H. e. could actually have developed in Asia, which would make blacks not even Homo erectus.

    • ElComadreja

The cruelest lie ever told was that they are human and equal. They should be repatriated to Africa where they can rape and murder at will.

      • Usually Much Calmer

        They are human.

The equality lie is profoundly cruel, I agree.

  • MekongDelta69

How do you even write a rational comment to this?

    You can’t.

You just can’t make this stuff up. Blacks aren’t just 50,000 years behind in evolution. I almost think they landed here from a different planet.

    • Who Me?

I’m speechless. I don’t think I’ve ever seen quite this sharp a disconnect between (il)logic and reality from anyone over the age of 4.
The officer should have stayed in his car since he could see the thug was armed…oh, right. Typical (N-word) Bull-poop.

  • Puggg

This family was a bunch of miscreants. Yet this news seems to want to use some sort of moral equivalency between them and the IPD.

    • Irishgirl

If you haven’t already, go to the original article and watch the video. It’s hard to believe it’s not a parody.

  • Frank_DeScushin

“If the cop didn’t get out of his car he wouldn’t have been killed”

“If George Zimmerman wasn’t patrolling his neighborhood, Trayvon wouldn’t be dead.”

“Hey, man, just get out of our way while we’re trying to commit crimes and everything will be OK.”

    • Kenner

      You beat me to it.

    • Whitetrashgang

That’s why after that Trayvon thing you have to be insane to even go near a black, better of giving a bear or alligator a ride in your car.

    • TruthBeTold

The common demonstrator is being around blacks.

For their own safety blacks should demand their own communities where whites and Hispanics will stay away from them.

      • Whitetrashgang

Hey black people don’t want to be near other black people if possible, what should happen is no one including blacks should be within 100 yards of another black person.Could call it the OJ Simpson rule.

        • TruthBeTold

Yes, blacks don’t want to live with blacks which is why they want to move into white neighborhoods.

The ‘progressive’ left uses cognitive dissonance. They don’t say blacks are escaping blacks. They say white neighborhoods are better. At the same time, they tell us how dangerous it is for blacks to be around whites because of lynchings and hate crimes.

It takes work to untangle their double-think but when you do it’s fun to watch them go nuts when you point out their contradictions.

  • AmericanCitizen

Howabout, if blacks didn’t act the way they do and ruin entire cities, the officer wouldn’t have been shot either.

    • Conrad

Or, if they weren’t in this country the officer would not have been shot.

      • Deiter Botha

Bring it back to the beginning, if the blacks had stayed on
The boats the officer would not have been shot.

    • Usually Much Calmer

And we would need fewer cops.

I’m waiting for someone to do a comprehensive economic impact of diversity.

The money we spend on gunshot wounds and aftercare, the list goes on. When I first read paved with good intentions I tried to make a comprehensive list, but I’m sure I missed things.

          • Who Me?

How’s about: “If we had a country of our own, this stuff wouldn’t happen.”?

          • Deiter Botha

Just let us all know when and where, I’m sure I would love to begin the search for a safe home and community that whites could thrive in.

          • Who Me?

You can’t just walk in and have it all ready for you. You will have to join the fight to TAKE it and KEEP it and make it our own.

          • jayvbellis

Yes, great quote. I think the Northwestfront uses this.

I suggest making Vistaprint propaganda postcards with that quote and some scary news photos, stories of anti a White terror.

    • TruthBeTold

Every one of their excuses be it criminal or education is just an admission that blacks are incapable of living by white standards.

When you have the chance on other forums, keep making this point. It drives the ‘progressives’ mad.

  • Lewis33

On the local talk radio here in Indy they were talking about this family being interviewed and someone called in and was blaming the TV station for showing a interview of the family behaving this way! (Now they can’t be blamed for what they say on TV!) The host laughed him off the air, thank goodness. This is our second cop death and fourth cop being shot this year alone, all by you know who.

    • A Freespeechzone

I’m betting that the black preachers are also weighing in on this…..blaming the police for inciting this criminal….

That crap happens all the time when a black is shot by police and is later justified—the ministers go ballistic…

  • The Negro logic exhibited here is a classic example of why blacks will never do well in school and why policies to keep black youfs from being disciplined are insane. It’s always someone else’s fault with blacks. The only way to keep them in line, if at all, is corporal puninishment, aka PAIN. It’s all their feeble brains can understand. You break whitey’s rules, whitey inflicts pain on you. Does anyone have a better method? It worked for our southern ancestors.

  • David Ashton

If there were no white people in the western world, they couldn’t be killed by the bruvvas, could they? Stands to reason. Nome sane?

    • They could always still fight the Mexicans and Arabs, couldn’t they?

You got game, dawg. You be representin’. I best recognize, gnome sayin’?

Mind-boggling. These feral urban dwellers belong in a zoo.

    1. Since when did normal civilians require, or expect, properly dressed police officers at work to stay in the car when interacting with people?

    2. When did it become legal (or reasonable) to shoot a police officer who happened to be outside his car with a semi-auto rifle?

    • Usually Much Calmer

Yet at the same time all crime in black neighborhoods is because the police don’t care about black people.

  • A Freespeechzone

Yet another example of blacks never taking accountability for their actions…’s ALWAYS someone else’s fault….

They tried that with Trayvon….didn’t work….he got what he deserved.

  • dd121

In more enlightened times they would have made sure that Davis did NOT survive.

    • I’ll bet doing time as a cop-killer won’t be much fun. Some of the other black inmates will think he’s a hero, but this creep will probably mouth off to some of the more experienced convicts, and they’ll give him an attitude-adjustment seminar. Since I doubt corrections officers like cop-killers, they will of course find ways to seriously mess with his mind.

If they decide he’s uncooperative, he’ll be on five-point restraint in a New York second. They also like 23-hour lockdown.

      • dd121

What you describe doesn’t sound fun.

  • humura

Even if the police do their jobs, the judges and politicos too often undo them. The criminal’s father was also shot by police. What was his crime? A family of criminals, and so hateful of civilization that they blame this killing on the policeman for doing his duty.

    • Usually Much Calmer

I see you’ve made the mistake of taking her seriously.

The father was intoxicated and died of a heart attack while in police custody. From the linked IJR story “the coroner said officers were not at fault.”

Also from the linked story, the same female relative (not identified, presumably his aunt) says, “I imagine he figured they was gonna try to kill him. . . I mean cause look what they did to his father.”

      • UncleSham

She’s probably right, and its partially her fault. The women in Davis’s family obviously raised him to be extremely paranoid around police officers.

  • M.Magog

Not to make light of the situation but Perry Renn looks an awful lot like the “Officer Dangle” character from Reno 911.

    • IstvanIN

that was uncalled for, he may have been a very good man.

      • Kenner

        Dangle did his best.

  • Conrad

“Incidentally, the alleged killer has an extensive criminal background that dates back to 2006.”
So why is he STILL out on the street with a gun? Can you say liberal judge?

    • Dave West

Because we must arm all black people so they can defend them selves against evil racist, white, George Zimmerman types!

    • Deiter Botha

      Liberal Judge

  • Usually Much Calmer

So, y’all watercooler these stories, right?

Just repeat the details in a way that implies the absurdity is known to you, with dispassion. No outrage, just confusion. Get the gears moving, walk away.

And in other news, in Gary Indiana just yesterday, a white police officer was shot and killed…while sitting in his car.

  • Jacobite2

The officer’s second mistake was in not opening fire before the inner-city-youth did. His first mistake was even bothering to check for a firearm before letting fly.

  • alex

“The family said it “felt sorry” for Officer Renn’s family, but that the shooting may have been avoided if he had stayed in his car…”

If Zimmerman had stayed in his car, the sweet and innocent black kid would’ve been alive…

  • IKUredux

We Whites should begin to disengage from the Black urban dystopias. Only Black cops, no matter how stupid, should be employed by Black majority cities. Also, only Black firefighters should be allowed to work in majority Black cities. Also, only Black doctors and medical personnel should be allowed to administer to Black victims. All public defenders of Black criminals, should likewise be Black. From here on, all people who go to service calls at Black residences, should be Black. That would include plumbers, electricians, carpenters, locksmiths, cable guys. All EMT should also be Black. As a matter of fact, the teachers of our precious Black children, should also be Black. Ideally, Blacks, the nuggets of our country, can only be appreciated, as the hot house flowers they are:Cooped up in a soothing environment.

    • Ethan Allen

What you’re describing, of course, is segregation; separate but equal. We tried that. It’s a good idea, but blacks didn’t like it. Feds wouldn’t tolerate it. Special laws were passed and school bussing was instituted to dismantle it.

    • LHathaway

You might as well be a professor at a local university.

  • scutum

Lets just have the police stay home. We can mail their paycheck to them, or deposit it directly into their bank account. This would certainly prevent any of them from being shot at.
    Negroes thinking like Negroes.

  • Rusty Shackelford

They’ll blame anybody but themselves or their kids for their actions:
Cop should have stayed in the car when he saw my kid had a gun. He was a good kid.
Person should not have been at home when my son broke in. He was a good kid.
Person should not have been walking down the street, when my son punched him in the face randomly. He should not have drawn his gun and shot my son. He was a good kid.
    Etc, etc.

    • You forgot that wrong crowd. He fell in with the wrong crowd. That wrong crowd will get you every time.

Everyone else he was hanging with was the wrong crowd, just not him. Nobody in the wrong crowd is actually part of the wrong crowd, it’s just that everyone in the wrong crowd just happened to fall in with the wrong crowd.

      • Kenner

Precisely, I’ve been chuckling over that ‘wrong crowd’ line for awhile now.
        ‘Wrong Crowd’ = Bantu Race.

      • I cut and pasted your “wrong crowd” remark because it was brilliant.

        • Just don’t try to say it really quickly five times in a row.

          • The “right crowd” may have been Christopher and Channon, but that didn’t work out very well, either,

      • Rusty Shackelford

  • Dale McNamee

She should be arrested for assault…

    • M.Magog

I have been in similar situations when the actors have been white. I have seen the person at the counter, or in line at the register, realize that the person behind them had a very quick transaction, one item, and I have seen NUMEROUS times, the white person say “oh, you go ahead of me , you only have one item and I have all of these.” I have seen white people waiting in line for a restroom and another white person, obviously in a more desperate situation head straight for the door, not seeing the line, find the door locked, then see the line of people waiting, and was told he could be next. Whites have compassion. I think it is something totally lacking in blacks. They only have narcissism and are thus extremely territorial. They become hostile in situations where white people don’t become hostile. Violence breaks out in circumstances where it never breaks out when the players are white unless one of the whites is drunk or similarly impaired, or a psychopath.

The family said it “felt sorry” for Officer Renn’s family, but that the
shooting may have been avoided if he had stayed in his car since he
could see Davis had a gun. Incidentally, the alleged killer has an
extensive criminal background that dates back to 2006.

Office Renn should have shot and killed Davis as soon as he was Davis with the rifle. Blacks are all genetically and culturally violent criminals unfit to live in our civilized society and a final decision on them will have to be made and not leave this danger to future generations. You can see from the comment made by Davis family that these people have no conscience.
