Mural Shows Man Shooting Likeness of Trayvon Martin

Click Orlando, August 9, 2013

An eye-grabbing mural showing a picture of a man shooting a likeness of Trayvon Martin was unveiled Friday at the state Capitol.

The message of the mural, created by Miami artist Huong, is “We are all Trayvon Martin.”

The mural shows a man who looks similar to George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch leader who shot and killed Martin in February 2012 and was later acquitted in the teen’s death, shooting a person wearing a hoodie.  There’s a mirror in the mural where Martin’s face would be so visitors can see themselves as the teen.

The mural also contains blank spaces where the public can share their thoughts, and  it also shows a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. with blood flowing down his head.

Huong also joined the Dream Defenders, a group holding a sit-in protest outside Gov. Rick Scott’s office for the past four weeks.  The group plans on taking the artwork on a nationwide tour, although the exact locations are  not yet known.

We are all Trayvon Martin? I am not Trayvon Martin and neither are tens of millions of others. We don’t wear hoodies, take drugs, burglarize houses, try to kill neighborhood watch volunteers, or get kicked out of school and our mother’s houses. Is there some white nationalist artist who can create a series of murals depicting Martin doing his mischief and get them placed in the state capital. I am PO’d to the max over this outrage!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take Huong’s painting and burn it.

    • Skip Wellington

I would like to see a mural depicting Trayvon solving the
Rubic’s cube, or borrowing a maff book from da libarry.

      • bigone4u

Funny thought. Is there an artist with enough powers of imagination to paint such a fantasy?

      • Rusty Shackelford

        Or solving 2 plus 2.

      • JDInSanDiego

I would like to see “Huong” live in a black neighborhood for a year (or 5 minutes) and then paint me a picture of the authentic black experience.

        • me

It will never happen. Huong is another no-talent ‘artist’ trying to garner cheap publicity for his ‘masterpiece’, since he doesn’t have a drop of talent to stand on. That is all.

        • NeanderthalDNA

          Perhaps a Vietnacoalburner?

      • Lagerstrom

A book of T.S Eliot’s poetry was found on the sidewalk after the tragedy.

      • Spartacus

I would like to see a mural of Channon Christian getting gang-raped by n*****s, but that’s not gonna happen any time soon.

  • Puggg

This mural has it wrong. It doesn’t depict the vague man in a hoodie banging the head of the tan-colored man into the concrete of a sidewalk.

  • Tarczan

While factually incorrect in some matters, it is a beautiful work of art.

    • OlderWoman

It is pathetic, violent, and not factual. Martin Luther King would not have condoned Thugvon’s character.

      • Sloppo

It’s hard to be sure what a plagiarizing bantu whoremonger would say about someone with Trayvon’s character issues.

      • NeanderthalDNA

        Would make good kindling.

      • anton drexler

MLK, in addition to being a plagiarist, was a whore-mongering woman-beater. It doesn’t matter what an absurdly inflated mediocrity would or would not condone. Ideological heroes die hard and ignominiously, ask Vlad Lenin. One day MLK will suffer a similar fate in the annals of history.

        • saxonsun

He also hired white prostitutes and plagiarized his dissertation.

      • Spartacus

I think he would’ve… After all, Trayboon was doing nothing other than seeking reparations for racism…

    • Tim_in_Indiana

A painting of someone being shot is a beautiful work of art?

The artist’s talents would have been better spent painting posters for action thrillers.

    • It’s not “art”. It’s a propagandist’s lie.

Art should stand on its own merits, without using politics as a crutch.

  • DLRisVH

“There’s a mirror in the mural where Martin’s face would be so visitors can see themselves as the teen.”

I wear a hoodie all winter, I work outside and it keeps that cold wind from blowing down my neck, so I don’t need to see myself as a Trayvon teen. Also, when I wear that hoodie I’m not hopping fences into gated complexes or bashing someones head onto the concrete sidewalk.

    • me

“There’s a mirror in the mural where Martin’s face would be so visitors can see themselves as the teen.”
Not just a ‘teen’–a feral, criminal Bantu teen. The level of comical ludicrousness has reached critical mass and is imploding in on itself. It’s just a matter of time….

    • Tim_in_Indiana

Another piece of perfectly good article of clothing that’s now been given a bad name.

    • NeanderthalDNA

If I looked in that mirror I’d see a White person I like very much not committing violent crimes…

If I saw Trayyyvonnn I’d check myself into a mental institution or beg someone to shoot me.

  • Miami artist Huong is a Trayvon?

    She is a Vietnamese female.

    • OlderWoman

Perhaps John Engleman would like her.

      • me

        Not if she’s a Skittle-eating, grape drank guzzling, gang-banging female. Oh, wait….

      • ShermanTMcCoy

I think he’d make an exception in her case.

      • Whitetrashgang

Maybe it is him. you never know.

    • Tim_in_Indiana

Yes, because we know Vietnamese and blacks just get along with each other sooooo swimmingly!

    • NeanderthalDNA

Why does a Vietnamese care about blacks? Huong, not Hmong?

  • CJ Haze

I hope my post makes it with the link to the video interview with the ‘artist’.

  • KittyAmerica

    Mmm, mmm Asian women.

    • me

      Mmmm, the morning after…..

      • NeanderthalDNA

That was kind of mean, lol…
But those after pics are kind of scary. They look like anime drawings come to life.

      • KittyAmerica

        Sounds nasty and disgusting.

  • David Ashton

There is a now poster with Martin Luther King in a Trayvonian hoodie that could go viral like the Che Guevara icon. Those whom the gods destroy they first make mad.

    • Skip Wellington

MLK in a hoodie, crooked hat, shiny necklace, sporting a malt liquor would be all the rage.

    • NeanderthalDNA

“Those whom the gods destroy they first make mad.”
That’s a great quote. Where from?
The conquered weeps, the conqueror is undone – I like that one.

Quem Jupiter vult perdere, dementat prius (James Duport, d.1679) as adapted by Enoch Powell.

  • negrolocaust

trashvon martin was a cat burgler casing houses and he was high on drugs which is why he attacked a hardworking man trying to help stop crimes in his neighborhood a man who was working full time and going to school while the criminal trashvon was not in school or working like most blacks and like most blacks trashvon was a racist angry loser who lashes out at people just for trying to ask them a question and blames the world that they are a failure and stupid cannot take tests without having the test lowered for them and ad infinitum i am glad he is dead and he is in hell where he belongs thankfully he did not get a chance to hurt anybody else. good riddance to trashvon.

  • din_do_nuffins

Blacks have their own facts- it’s called black privilege, ie voodoo.

Your job is to keep your White privilege as far away from it as possible, because it on the “right side of history,” and you are on the wrong.

  • Bon, From the Land of Babble

It looks like MLK is getting shot in the back of the head – – yeah, most morons think the Trayvon Martin shooting went down exactly like that!!

This is a great tribute to self defense — who knew George Zimmerman was such a badass? And that’s a heck of a gun he’s got. This mural could be used to promote gun ownership.

A great tribute to Trayvon would be to submerge a packet of Skittles, a can of Arizona Watermelon drink and a large bottle of Robitussin in a vat of urine. Now THAT would be appropriate art!!

Well, the mural IS on wheels — so it’ll be easy wheel it down to the local garbage dump and toss it in.

    • Ryan Blades

How about a “Piss Jesse” or “Piss Sharpton”?

      • Bon, From the Land of Babble

How about both, better yet, how about a whole series staring black race hustlers and liars — with oprah, rangel, etc. — put it on a world wide tour and call it ‘art’ and pay for it all at government expense.

None of them deserve any better than that.

I’d pay to go see it!!

  • Pax Romana

‘Mural Shows Man Shooting Likeness of Trayvon Martin’….In the back of the head!

Excluding black’s lack of self control, and natural predisposition toward senseless violence…Why is over 90% of interracial violence black on white/ Asian/ Hispanic?

Propaganda like this painting is why.

The Left purposely inflames and feeds black racist hatred and animosity toward others with their propaganda. This is a prime example.

  • Rusty Shackelford

Will there be a mural showing two black teens strangling Autumn Pasquale?

    • Even better a mural depicting the Channon Christian / Christopher Newsom ordeal.

Or would that offend too many people to actually see blacks anally raping a couple before their fun really begins in the subsequent panels?

  • sbuffalonative

    Is this slander or liable?

  • me

Where’s the twelve-year-old, innocent, doe-eyed Trayvon , holding his Skittles and grape drank? Tisk, tisk….how inaccurate!

  • NeanderthalDNA

    1. The shooter looks like some shaved head black. THAT is pretty accurate.
    2. Speak for yourself “Huong”. I am NOT that little…grumble mumble mumble grumble…
    3. Therefore, “Huong”, eff off!

  • IKantunderstand

I am not Trayvon Martin. I am not George Zimmerman. I am not Martin Luther King. I am not Huong. (Huong? Huong? Seriously? The Asians are trying to hog in on the act now?) WTF? Make no mistake about it, when it comes to getting resources, it’s everyman for himself, and by extension, in this country, every race for itself. We need to get deadly serious about how we feel.

  • Spartacus

    “We are all Trayvon Martin.”

Sorry, but I don’t qualify – My IQ isn’t 2 digits, and I shower too often.

    • ShermanTMcCoy

      And you are a human.

  • JackKrak

Remember, when Leftist “defenders” stage a sit-in in a government building, they are wide-eyed idealists fighting for justice.

But when anyone to the right of Stalin questions why the government is spending money on this or that, we’re on the edge of the long dark night of fascism……

Blax murdered 448 Whites and Hispanics combined in 2011, Whites and Hispanics COMBINED only killed 193 blax.

Statistically with blax having one fifth the population of Whites, blax are around 11 times (1,100%) more likely to murder a White than the opposite.

  • DiversityIsDeath

This is a fantasy of wishful thinking on the artist’s part. The positioning of the figures is all wrong. No one was standing. Trayvon had Zimmerman pinned on the ground and was sitting on top of him bashing his head into the ground. when Zim pulled his gun and shot up at Trayvon.

  • WR_the_realist

I have thought of the perfect guerrilla action, but it would require a good artist and someone who can get access to the state capitol building after hours.

Create an accurate painting of what really happened, of the same size as that mural. Show George Zimmerman on his back, his face covered in blood, while Trayvon Martin kneels on top of him pounding his head into the pavement. George Zimmerman is starting to aim his gun.

Now, in the wee hours of the night epoxy the new painting over that mural. In the morning the public will be greeted by the truth. Watch the howling outrage from the media.
