Harry Belafonte Tells Breitbart News Tea Party Is to Blame for Racial Division

Lee Stranahan, Breitbart, July 26, 2013

Entertainer and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte blamed the Tea Party for increasing “racial animus” in the United States in an appearance with the Dream Defenders at the Florida State Capitol.

{snip}

Belafonte added that during the civil rights era, they fought and achieved their objectives but that he felt that progress had been rolling back. He cited the Supreme Court’s recent overturn of the part of the Voting Rights Act as an example. Mr. Belafonte then went on to call out the Tea Party specifically for increasing racial tension, but cited no specific examples.

Belafonte expressed his full support for the Dream Defenders, whose sit-in at the Capitol has entered its eleventh day and who currently have the biggest crowd so far in their civil disobedience.

Currently, over 250 people are demonstrating in the Capitol and demanding that Republican Governor Rick Scott call a special legislative session to address issues like police profiling, Stand Your Ground laws and what they call the “school-to-prison” pipeline.

The irony is that if Banana Boat here was “conservative” or at least faked it, he would have been a frequent speaker at tea party functions in the first few years of the movement.

    • HJ11

You’re right. We have lots of weak seed Whites who jump to support any Black who sounds even a little conservative. These weak seeds are afraid to stand on their own two White feet and instead hide behind Blacks and other non-Whites as if to say: “See, we’re not racist, this Black guy (or this Hispanic or Asian) says the same thing so it’s okay for us Whites to say it.”

Look at the White folks over at the NRA supporting Black Colion Noir. They’ve put this guy in the window. He calls them “old fat white guys,” and they eat it up. “oh, beat us again Mr. Black Man, beat us again.”

      • Puggg

And that’s why white Americans are still far away from overt public racial politics, because all these fake “conservative” hustling non-whites retard weak seed whites from what would probably be an inevitable path whose logical end is healthy white racial consciousness.

As for this Colon Noir, I can’t wait for the news that he’s been arrested for something. The whole thing will blow up in the NRA’s face and be a big embarrassment. A problem they wouldn’t have if they would just have avoided the groid all along. There’s another bunch; the NRA would have 100 million members and neutralize politically the gun grabber soccer moms if it would just cite the black as the cause of black crime. But the weak seed whites among them flinging stupid memes like “gun control is racist” and throwing these Colon Noir knaves in our faces keeps that from happening.

      • I stopped my NRA membership before I lost my gun rights. I grew sick of reading “American Rifleman” articles about sporting clays (I didn’t shoot shotguns), and really sick of them pretending every Dumb-O-crat gun ban attempt was some unanticipated “emergency” that they never expected to have to oppose. The idiots still call me, though I haven’t been a member in 14 years. I have progressed from merely being extremely rude on the phone with them to downright vicious. If they have a groid as their organization’s lawn-jockey, it merely proves their own senility.

Day-O, Da-uh-ay-uh-ay-o. Daylight come and me wanna Harry go home.

[I’m sorry, but that’s about the most mental effort I’d ever expend on this race hustler.]

The Tea Party got the name but not the game.

    >>>Mr. Belafonte then went on to call out the Tea Party specifically for increasing racial tension, but cited no specific examples.

    Because there are none.

    • sbuffalonative

The only thing Mr. Belafonte believes about the Tea Party are the photos of Democratic Underground provocateurs that go to Tea Party events with misspelled and race-baiting signs.

      Google: Crash the Tea Party.

Another genius mulatto we could do without.

  • Funruffian

This guy’s acting was about as impressive as his politics. Why do these has-been actor Negroes try to incite more racial discord when they simply make matters worse?

    • Sick of it

Many were once card carrying members of the CPUSA, per Red Hollywood and other books on the subject.

  • Blame anything but black violence focused on Whites …..

  • Spartacus

    “Entertainer and civil rights activist…”

    ———————————————————————————————————————

I thought those terms were interchangeable…

Belafonte is also currently in a war of words with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Belafonte criticizes them for not being active enough in civil rights. In Harry’s mind it’s still the 1960s and all black people should be perpetually angry and marching in the streets.

    “Midnight come….and I wish he’d go home”.

    • MBlanc46

I thought that was “Daylight come….”

      • dd121

You may be right. I’ve been known to mis-hear lyrics.

        “Ain’t no woman like a one-eyed Gott”.

        • MBlanc46

Plus, some of us are old enough to remember when it was on “Your Hit Parade”. And old enough to remember “Your Hit Parade”.

        • mobilebay

How about a kid’s version of what they mis-heard when singing “Silent Night?” It came out “Round John’s virgin.

  • HJ11

Harry Belefonte is anti-White scum. Spit!

  • Defiant White

    Hmm . . . I thought he was dead. Must be some other no-talent, big-mouthed black I’m thinking about . . .

  • Sick of it

Mr. Belafonte might be surprised to learn that most blacks don’t want the invaders here either, as they are not wealthy and have to compete with the invaders for jobs.

  • Ernest

Just what is a ‘civil rights activist’. Do whites have civil rights?

    • Sick of it

Constitutional Rights vs Civil Rights. Common Law vs. Civil Law. America vs. Europe.

    • According to Attorney Shoeshine Boy General Eric Holder, white people do not have civil rights.

  • libertarian1234

Are you sure it’s the Tea Party that’s causing racial division, Harry?

Isn’t it possible it could be Sarah Palin and the pilgrims? According to the
Chicago Chief of Police, those two factors are responsible for black crime and violence, so surely they’re guilty of racism too.

And what about the people who come up with other racist things, like referring to a “black hole in space?” Some blacks were protesting not long ago that that was a racist term. Just like Angel Food Cake and Devil’s Food Cake.

And don’t forget the government, Harry. Didn’t you and your people declare that the government blew up the levees in N.O. to drown all the blacks there?

Which they probably resorted to when they realized introducing drugs and aids in black neighborhoods wasn’t killing them off fast enough.

    • HJ11

We need more racial division. Whites trying to be acceptable to Blacks and other non-Whites is like trying to put a round peg in a square hole. And, when we try to be acceptable to Blacks and other non-Whites, we have to be less like our true selves. That’s not for me, thanks. I’m happy to be White and I don’t care what Blacks and non-Whites or even aracial Whites think about anything.

  • White Mom in WDC

I would agree with Belafonte on this one. The Tea Party is about fiscal responsibility and most blacks are not, hence racial division

  • MBlanc46

Apparently, Harry Belafonte has become senile.

    • No; he’s just a groid.

      I hope this explains everything.

      • MBlanc46

It does. Some musical talent, if your tastes run that way. But the though capacity of a parrot.

  • sbuffalonative

They don’t have the Klan so they have to find a new boogeyman.

  • jeffaral

It’s so funny and so grotesque how any half witted Black can achieve a God like status in the USA. If Mr Belafonte had been born in deepest Congo he would probably have been eaten by a cannibal tribesman or would himself be a cannibal.

    • Or he really would be loading banana boats and pooping on the beach.

      • Romulus

Your posts are quite intelligent ,candid, and honest for internet chat.Im ablaze with curiosity as to your aforementioned incarceration. Forgiver me if I’ve overstepped polite etiquette.

  • YourMOMA

Harry Belafonte is in a group of blacks that love to make race a center of their universe. Racism is their career and passion. Where will he, Al, and Jesse be if it wasn’t for race?

  • Romulus

Bellafonte can go pound sand!! Im having a familiar bout of negro fatigue coming on!

  • Tacitus1

“The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a third world dictator and just put all these guys in jail.”…Harry Belafonte

Then my current Smithsonian magazine features interviews with him on “civil rights”. I wrote to the magazine, but so far no response. ( LOL )
