CA School Board Member to Serve Time for Pimping

Southern California school board member convicted of running a prostitution ring in his home has been sentenced to 14 years and four months in prison.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports 42-year-old Mike Rios was officially removed from the Moreno Valley School Board after being sentenced Friday.

Rios was convicted of pimping, pandering and insurance fraud for trying to get women and girls to work for him as prostitutes while he was sitting on the board.

Rios testified he ran a legitimate dancing business and maintained that he did nothing wrong.
