Muslim Patrol: Thugs Abuse Man in Second ‘Vigilante’ Video
Telegraph (London), January 22, 2013
A second inflammatory video featuring Islamic vigilantes emerged today, which appeared to show members of the group hurling homophobic abuse at a man and telling him to leave their “Muslim area”.
The footage, from a group calling themselves Muslim Patrol, shows the gang abusing the unnamed man who was walking by himself in Whitechapel, East London.
Today Scotland Yard said they were investigating the video, which was posted on YouTube. Muslim leaders also condemned the thugs’ behaviour.
It comes after the gang uploaded another video called “The Truth About Saturday Night”, in which white women were called “naked animals with no self-respect”.
In the latest video, hooded thugs shout at the terrified man, who appears to be wearing make-up, before one tells him: “Mate, don’t you know this is a Muslim area. What’s wrong with your face?”
Another then shouts: “This is a Muslim area get out of here. Get out here you b — — – f — . You can’t stay round here anymore.”
During the latest filmed confrontation, the victim can be heard to say: “I am a homosexual.”
A yob then asks: “Why are you dressed like that?”
The same yob then tells the man: “You are walking through a Muslim area dressed like a f — . You need to get out of here.
“Get out of here quicker. You’re dirty mate.”
The man then forces the victim to admit he is dirty, he can be heard saying: “Are you dirty? Say it again.”
The group have been seen confronting members of the public and taking “evil” booze out of the hands of revellers they found in their neighbourhood area.
Police have stepped up patrols in the area and Scotland Yard said community leaders were being asked to help.
A Metropolitan police spokesman said today: “We have also been speaking to local community leaders and influential people, local businesses and the local authority about the issue and what is being done, and can be done, to address it.”
The East London Mosque also publicly condemned the patrols today.
In a statement, it said: “These actions are utterly unacceptable and clearly designed to stoke tensions and sow discord. We wholly condemn them.
“The East London Mosque is committed to building co-operation and harmony between all communities in this borough.
“The actions of this tiny minority have no place in our faith nor on our streets. We will monitor the situation closely and our Imams will be speaking out against such actions.”
The first vigilante video came after an earlier clip made by the group where they protested against adverts for push-up bras by High Street retailer H&M.
On that they say: “The Muslims have taken it upon themselves to command the good and forbid the evil and cover up these naked people.”
It then showed a number of adverts for the product which had been sprayed over and film of themselves pouring petrol over one advert and setting it on fire.
