Survey Says Latino Voters Sticking with Obama, Democrats

Tom Cohen, CNN, December 29, 2011

Latino voters strongly support President Barack Obama and his Democratic Party, despite dissatisfaction with the administration’s deportation policies, according to a survey released Wednesday by the Pew Hispanic Center.

{snip}

According to the survey, Latino registered voters favor Obama over Republican presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney or Texas Gov. Rick Perry by margin of more than 2-to-1.

The results are similar to the presidential election in 2008, when Obama got 67% of the Latino vote compared with 31% for Republican candidate Sen. John McCain.

Hispanic voters have traditionally identified with the Democratic Party, and the Pew survey’s results showed that connection continues. It said two-thirds of Hispanic registered voters identified with or leaned toward the Democratic Party, while 20% felt that way about the Republican Party.

The survey of 1,200 Hispanic adults was conducted in English and Spanish from November 9 through December 7, and has a margin of error of 3.6%.

While showing strong Latino support for Obama and Democrats, the survey also showed Hispanics dislike immigration policies of the Obama administration, which increased deportations to 395,000 in 2009 and 387,000 in 2010.

According to the Pew survey, 59% of Latino respondents disapproved of the administration’s handling of deportations, while 27% approved.

At least we know the reason isn’t because they want to vote for a black guy. If that were the case, Hillary would not have gotten more votes than Obama from Hispanics.

  • Question Diversity

The same survey showed that the main reason Hispanics are sticking with Obama is because of “education, health care and welfare.” Really? That sounds familiar. Oh yeah:

“Fully funded welfare programs.” — Bill Richardson, (at the time) New Mexico Governor, when asked what Hispanic voters expected from the political process.

Ah, the delusion of the “naturally Republican” hispanic voters. The Mexicans know exactly who to vote for so they can continue to have scores of kids while diligent taxpayers have less or none. Can’t wait for the Repub. nominee to start speaking in Spanish and wearing sombreros in order to increase his hispanic voting share by approximately nothing.

I used to like Mexicans a lot more when they were completely hostile to blacks, who deserve it. For the most part they are completely hostile to whites and the best interests of whites now. When I learned that the current trend was for them to support communist liar and renegger on promises Obama, and I have experienced some of them who are very dirty about it and resemble banana republic partisans, I realized that we whites will have to go it alone. Non-whites and those who consider themselves nonwhites are our enemies.

Look guys, here’s the thing that we need to get the Republican party to understand:

There’s some idea that Hispanics (and even blacks) are “naturally Republican” because they are, in fact, conservative on a lot of non-financial issues. Blacks and also Hispanics tend to be hostile to gay rights, environmental protections, abortion, and a lot of other liberal non-financial issues. Because of this, Republicans have deluded themselves into thinking they can appeal to Hispanic (and even black) voters.

    WRONG!!!!

While it is true that Hispanics (and also blacks) are socially conservative (especially on gay rights), when it comes down to it, the #1 issue they care about is a collectivist economic view, meaning, welfare and wealth redistribution. That’s not just the #1 issue, that’s the only issue. And Democrats will always be the party of welfare and everyone knows it. Republicans will never appeal to that set of voters. The sooner we stop trying, the better. We need to abandon the idea of outreach to non-white Hispanics. It’s a delusion, a waste of resources, and it’s confusing our strategy. Just like the Democrats have truly abandoned the white working class.

It sucks that American politics have devolved from the war of ideas to the war of ethnic identity, but now that is what has happened and we can’t win the fight unless we know that’s the fight we’re in.

By the way, all the gay whites and environmentalist whites, etc, who are currently in the Democratic party are in for a big surprise when their party puts those issues on the back burner (as it will). Fact is, the only race on the planet that will ever care about gay rights and environmental protection is the white race. I wonder what liberals think about the fact that the Sierra Club is probably 95% white, ie, it’s even whiter than the Republican Party probably.

I watched that ad for Ron Paul with the black telling how Dr. Paul helped him. That’s cool. I have no problem with running ads like that to show that Ron Paul is a caring human being and a doctor. I’m pro-white and put my own race first, but I still have empathy for other races and I’m glad Dr. Paul does too.

Not to worry Here is Obama reassuring a roundtable of Latino journalists that his deportation numbers are phony:

“[T]he statistics [on deportations] are actually a little deceptive because what we’ve been doing is…apprehending folks at the borders and sending them back. That is counted as a deportation, even though they may have only been held for a day or 48 hours.” (“Obama pushes back on immigration policy criticism from Latinos, WASHINGTON POST, September 29, 2011)

Republicans will betray whites down to the last man in order to pander to Hispanics. I can only attribute it to agribusinesses and other Chamber of Commerce types who only care about eking out a marginal profit at the expense of the dispossessed majority.

Why? One of the reasons are the free handouts and the pandering from Obama and his administration. I’ve just read another reason in Drudge Report.com just now. Headline: OBAMA LAUNCHES FREE HOTLINE FOR SUSPECTED ILLEGALS (first sentence): “As states across the nation ramp up their efforts to catch illegal immigrants, the Obama administration on Thursday launched a new free hotline for people busted on violations to get help”.

What this sorry excuse for a president won’t do to get votes. While using our taxpayers money for these illegal clowns. Notice they called it “violations”. Bull. Their criminals. Here illegally. Like Obama’s aunt and uncle. Like Obama himself.

Why would hispanics who are American citizens, “dislike” deporting those who entered this country in violation of our immigration laws? Does La Raza trump the rule of law and sovereignty of this country with hispanics? This would seem to indicate even those hispanics who have “assimilated” do not care for border enforcement and immigration law, unless those hispanics polled were themselves illegal invaders.

  • sbuffalonative

They threatned to abandon Obama because he wouldn’t give them amnesty. Obama gave some lip service but didn’t give in.

Their petty power-play tantrum didn’t work but they’ll stay with the Democrats because they still get more from the Dems than Republicans (at least so far).

one thing to be aware of concerning the mall of america rioting by 200 or more blacks two days ago in MN is that they are doing this in this case for no reason, this should be a warning as to what their actions will be when they feel like they actually have a reason ie if there was a police shooting or some other event. it would be wise for whites to make sure the carry arms wherever they go in case of such an event. these people feel as though they can do what they want now with their people in top gov positions and there will be not repercussions and to an extent they are correct until they run into that one white man who wont tolerate their behavior and who doesnt care either

  • Greg

Really? I thought Gingrich’s nuanced response about not deporting someone who has been here for 25 years and has a family would win him some votes from the barely literate hispanic community.

Of course, only Newt and other “conservatives” like him think this way. To the hispanic voter, Newt, you are just another rich Gringo who won’t provide as many freebies as the Democrat. So while you feel good and smart about defending the honor of some hypothetical illegal who has been in the country for years and can’t (wouldn’t) vote for you anyway, conservatives (whom you are trying to win votes from) saw this as a disqualification.

The prediction markets have Romney comfortably ahead again, and I assume Newt own ignorance of his own idiocy has something to do with that.

    not surprizing.

America was the “battlefield” of ideas when all “combatants” were the same ethnicity. that could not fail to change with the demographics. now it is ethnic identity groups fighting over the decaying remains of the pie; and it is open season on Whites.

I think they will be in for a surprise at the next democrat convention where the liberal whites will be systematically slaughtered by their “fellow” democrats of black and brown.

I told a gay boy that I didn’t mind his ways as long as he did not do it with blacks or other non-whites.

p.s. Ron Paul for prez!!! we will have to surround him to thwart any assassins.

This spells doom for the democratic process in America, since 30% of the population is now black or hispanic, and they will always vote against any white person in favor of a person of color. Add the libtard percentage of white voters and it’s an automatic win for Obama in 2012.

Some ideologies are iron clad; hispanics will always vote for the handout (even with border laws, which don’t really exist), hispanics cant’ speak German (my language of origin), and we will go to war with Iran (just for Israel and our evangelicals).

I open my speech with German for all the Spanglish speakers here in South Texas, if they can’t speak German I question their diversity and sincerity for tolerance. Why should I be expected to Espan-yodel if they haven’t learned my German?

I have worked with fourth and fifth generation people of Mexican descent; without fail they will tell you straight out that their first loyalty is to Mexico.

I have also known of Mexican families that have lived here for decades, drawn welfare, food stamps and have received from help other social programs and then retired to live a life of luxury in Mexico.

They are here for the safety, high level of living and pay but hope for the day when the capitol of all the border states is Mexico City and not Washington.

From my observations, they’re well on the way to success in this regard.

If the answer to a voter’s question to a politician – “are you willing to confiscate other people’s private property and redistribute its value to me”:

    – is “Yes,” the politician is (4 synonyms) a Democrat or liberal or progressive or socialist, and quite without conscience in getting elected by legislating money away from others to buy votes. The mooching voter who supports that politician is of course, a Democrat or liberal or progressive or socialist.

    – is “No,” the politician is either a liar or honest, but still the best choice for your vote – unless you are a Democrat or liberal or progressive or socialist.

    12 Greg:

That “twenty five year” plan of Gingrich’s pleased nobody, except Republican-oriented cheap labor loving plutocrats who want their cheap labor to have some sort of legal status but don’t want their cheap labor to be able to vote Democrat. An example: Sheldon Adelson.

It’s also “insulting” to Hispanics who have been here a long time but not yet a quarter century. (Not like I care that they’re insulted, for the record.) I mean, if I were a Hispanic who has been here illegally for 24 years 364 days, I would be thinking to myself, “Newt Gingrich must think I’m less than human.” Like I wrote after he proposed it, the whole thing was a trojan horse for something that appears to be a full non-citizenship amnesty, and Gingrich knew it, because if his plan became law, the SPLC, ACLU and MALDEF would have the 14th Amendment lawsuits waiting to shop to sympathetic judges, and when they (probably) rule against Gingrich, President Gingrich would get on TV and say “oops darn schucks, we have this court ruling, we have to have full amnesty for everyone to be fair, wink wink.” Mission accomplished.

And his plans didn’t please us, because it rewarded lawbreaking for those who broke the law long enough.

I don’t know why this surpries you? If American whites are delusional that doesn’t mean that all others are. Mexicans are behaving naturally. It isn’t their fault that Americans let them take advantage of them. As a Croat I fully understand Mexicans. Americans I find strange.

Browns and blacks will ALWAYS support the “Robbing Peter to Pay Paul” platform. It’s really that simple.

Watch Romney fall all over himself apologizing to minorities in order to get their votes. And of course, he won’t. But he will antagonize many conservative whites.

The vast majority of Hispanics in the U.S have Native American ancestry. So I am not surprised that people with Native American ancestry don’t vote Republican. This is typical voting pattern among the vast majority of people who are not of 100% European descent, they always vote Democrat.
