Gangta Rap Colouring Book Under Fire From Parents

PR-Inside.com, March 12, 2007

A colouring book featuring images of rappers 50 CENT and ICE T brandishing weapons has been slammed by parents as “sick”.

The book, GANGSTA RAP, includes line drawings of famous hip-hop stars holding guns and knives—pictures which have infuriated those concerned for the impact of the images on young children.

And parents are demanding the book, which is on sale at British fashion chain Topshop for £6 ($11), be taken off the shelves immediately.

Mothers Against Guns campaigner MICHELL FORBES says, “It’s sick.” Topshop have yet to comment on the issue.
