Biden Finally Finds Someone to Deport

The United States has an immigration crisis. The Biden Administration recently extended “Temporary” Protected Status to more than 700,000 illegals. The usually cowardly Senate Republican caucus is so disgusted with the policy of releasing illegals into the United States it wants to resume “stay in Mexico” for asylum seekers. Democrats oppose this. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is especially vocal. She claims her co-ethnics are here legally because they need asylum.

The system is an invitation to fraud. “We actually do need a wall, and we need to require people to have some shred of evidence to claim asylum to enter, as everyone is doing that,” said Elon Musk. “It’s a hack that you can literally Google to know exactly what to say [to claim asylum].”
However, the United States government is not an easy mark for everyone. The Biden Administration is deporting a German family that has lived in the United States for 15 years. The parents came because they wanted to homeschool their children, which is illegal in Germany. It’s unclear if they will face punishment on their return.
“We try to do it the right way,” said Mrs. Hannelore Romeike. “[But] we don’t get the right to stay here or to immigrate. For 15 years, we fight for that right, and it seems there are two faces to this administration.”
There are not two faces. There’s one face, and one standard. The Romeike family is white, Christian, and conservative. Such people are not reliable Democrats. They are not protected by civil rights laws, nor do they have ethnic lobbies to speak for them. The case is a niche matter for conservative media, so major media are ignoring it.
Two of the children in the family are American citizens who were born here. Father Uwe Romeike says the older children are no longer fluent in German. Because they are German, the family could probably not expect support from groups in Germany that help refugees.

The family came to America in 2006 because the parents didn’t want their children taught “anti-Christian” beliefs with “sexual” elements. In 2006, America may have been the right place for them, but in 2023, it is the home of drag-queen story hour.
The government has been persistent. It looks with benevolent neglect on hundreds of thousands of illegals roaming America and skipping court dates, but it has battled this family. In 2010, a court in Tennessee ruled in their favor. However, the Sixth Court of Appeals denied asylum and said the family didn’t suffer from “persecution of a discrete group and the prosecution of those who violate a generally applicable law.” The Supreme Court denied review, but DHS has not started deportation procedures until now.
The Family Research Council is backing the family. “It beggars belief to think that we have a southern border that is open to just all kinds of ridiculous flow of people making completely illegitimate asylum claims for the most part,” said senior fellow Meg Kilgannon, “and then you have a beautiful family who from every indication are productive members of our society, being denied a claim for asylum based on the fact that they want to homeschool their children and will not be allowed to do so in Germany.” That may be the point. Our rulers have nothing to gain from a beautiful family of productive members of society, certainly not one being backed by an SPLC-designated “hate group” such as the Family Research Council.
The Home School Legal Defense Association has put up a petition. Rep. Diana Harshbarger introduced a bill that “provides for relief” for the family, including possible citizenship. The bill has been reported to the Judiciary Committee. This will be a test for Republicans to see if they stand up for homeschooling and highlight the Biden Administration’s double standards.
It should never have come to this. The German government punishes homeschoolers. It also lets schools teach Critical Race Theory. Until whites have a lobby of their own, there will be other victims. It’s not true to say that the Biden Administration wants to let everyone in. It seems that it wants to let in people who have nothing to contribute except votes.
