Boys Being Boys?

I have a friend who was a teacher in the predominantly black school system in Clarksdale, Mississippi. One day, she noticed a group of black kids congregating in the back of the room, laughing. She went back there to see what was going on, and she saw two black kids exposing themselves. They said they were having a contest to see who had the biggest member. She sent them to the black principal’s office and told him what was going on. He laughed and told her, “That’s just boys being boys.” He sent them back to class without punishment. She immediately put in her resignation and went to teach in a whiter school 40 miles away. In a white school, with white boys, they would’ve been charged with indecent exposure. That’s just the nature of the beast.
