Hennepin Co. Attorney Probes 17 Possible Criminal Incidents by Federal Immigration Agents During ICE Surge

A month after federal immigration officials concluded what activists are calling the largest immigration crackdown in the nation’s history, community hearings and criminal investigations into the operation continue to intensify across the Twin Cities.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office is investigating 17 possible criminal incidents involving federal agents during the surge, including two civilian deaths and allegations of excessive force. County Attorney Mary Moriarty has not set a timeline for completing the investigation.
