Macelino de Jesus Martinez, 36, was arrested Monday on suspicion of trying to arrange to have his daughter marry Margarito de Jesus Galindo, 18, for $16,000, 100 cases of Corona, 50 cases of Modelo beer, several cases of meat, two cases of wine, 50 cases of Gatorade and 50 cases of soft drinks, authorities said.
The girl moved in with Galindo and when payments were not received, her father called police to get his daughter back.
Greenfield Police Chief Joe Grebmeier told KSBW Action News 8 that both Martinez and Galindo, who are immigrants from Mexico, face the possibility of being deported as illegal immigrants.
Grebmeier also said that both men didn’t fully understand that what they were doing was wrong.
Also, the girl told police that she willingly moved in with Galindo.
Arranged marriages are common in the section of Mexico where both Galindo and Martinez are from.
But California law prohibits arranged marriage where one or both of the parties have been coerced.

I heard this story yesterday on the “Adam Carolla” radio show. Even he said we need a wall because “this stuff is normal in Mexico”. It truly is. In Mexico it is not unusual for grown men to rape teenage girls and then have a priest marry them so they get out of trouble. The legal consent of age in Mexico is 12. That is why you have grown Mexican men at the beach “checking out” teenage White girls in bikinis. I learned a lot about racial differences on the beaches of San Diego county in the 90’s.
The video of the newscast (available at original article) is well worth a view. The rhetorical contortions of the local chief of police and the news reporters about diversity and cultural sensitivity are particularly touching as are the mitagating observations by same that the meat, the booze, and the soft drinks weren’t really part of the dowry payment, rather they were destined to the wedding reception and party. How big of a party can one throw with 150 cases of beer?
This stuff is bascially the result of being raised in a society like Mexico, and then coming to a society that is loaded with material items and people with money. I fear to say it, but it might also indicate an awareness on the part of the entrepreneurial father, that he could get away with this in a society that he preceived as being corrupt enough for him to do so. The guy is a kind of a canary in the coal mine indicator with regards to this societies laws. It’s good to know he was arrested and will be prosecuted. How many more of these cretins from Mexico are in this nation?
I think he probably works in a grocery store or something and figures he could just steal the beer & meat.

For Adam Corolla to be calling for a border wall is groundbreaking. In case you don’t know, he’s kind of a one-man Masters and Johnson for teenagers, he once had a radio show and it was basically non-stop teenagers (some as young as 13) calling and asking for sex advice, just about anything you can think of without using the George Carlin words.
Hispanic, of course! The local newspapers never mentioned this. Wonder why?
Remember this. If it weren’t for the American “Liberals” (and, recently, neo-cons), these guys would still be sitting in their beloved Mexico.

I hate to say this, but would this story be that unusual in certain parts of Mexico or Central America? Unfortunately, Mexican women seem to have a long way to go toward equality. Perhaps, this story explains the popularity of “Anglo” men for smart Latinas. I’ve always said our women have the most to lose from this type of diversity.
No doubt this poor Mexican man was only trying to sell his daughter after many years of systematic exploitation and oppression by rich racist white Americans. Perhaps he had been discriminated against in employement and perhaps he had limited educational opportunities. Mr. Martinez is clearly a victim.
(I am being sarcastic in case any liberals read this.)
Events like this will become more and more common as illegal aliens continue to flood into America.
You forgot to mention that the girl was 14 years old and that the buyer was charged with statutory rape.
“Perhaps this story explains the popularity of “Anglo” men among smart Latinas.” Smart Latinas, dumb White guys. The Latina comes with a family, that she wants to visit every weekend. The men will want to test their macho against the gringo boyfriend, not violently, but with crushing handshakes and stupid conversation. The foolish White boyfriend will be mocked behind his back for reading books and not watching basketball. It’s like having White trash in-laws, except that you will never be able to criticize immigration without causing an uproar. Even if the prospective girlfriend is a White Mexican, check out her family closely at the first opportunity. If she has any cholo cousins, she’s not White enough.
