What Black Men Think: Film Is A Wake-Up Call to the African-American Community

How could you have bought into the false castigation that keeps you from one another?” said Janks Morton, “You sit idly by and watch your media distort your images. You know that the government stratifies you. You know that the Black leadership exploits you. And you chose to do nothing. Or maybe, you don’t know. After today, there shall be no more excuses . . . because after today, you will know.”

Morton’s film, What Black Men Think, focuses on the way Blacks treat each other, how the African-American community thinks of itself, how it feeds off of the stereotypes and how it reacts to negativity. But most importantly, the film discusses the changes that are needed.
“I want the restoration of Black relationships. What I want is for the reconnection to happen,” said Morton stating that Blacks have the highest divorce rates, highest over-40-years-old singles rates, the lowest marriage rates and the highest-out-of-wedlock birth rates. “As a matter of fact, in the last 40 years, Blacks have almost turned their back on one another.”
In a ‘man-on-the-street’ survey, several Black men and women were asked what they thought of each other.
The men said that Black women are selfish, shallow, gold diggers, with attitude problems and multiple babies, who think that their being disrespectful is sexy.
The women said that Black men are thuggish, disrespectful liars, ignorant players, who don’t work and don’t take care of their multiple babies.

Blacks, according to the film, are the truest Americans. Throughout the Civil Rights Movement, African Americans kept their dignity and walked with pride. But they also had respect for each other.
The Black community as a whole had to have a higher standard in order to question the injustice of the government. But somewhere along the line, “things got tipped over.
“At the end of the Civil Rights era . . . 82-87 percent of the Black households were two parent, married households. Forty percent of those households were business owners,” said Mychal Massie, Chairman of Project 21 and columnist with WorldNetDaily.

The film said that the Black community has allowed itself to define itself by social status, job, house, car, trophy wife, etc. . . . after centuries of being oppressed. And those that don’t obtain that status are considered less than. What this does is give Black people permission to look down on one another in order to lift themselves up. And that only hides the underlying issues of self-doubt and low self-worth.

Morton posed another question to the community, asking, ‘Are there more Black men in jail or in college?’

Morton said that the answer lies in understanding where the numbers came from. The research that has been conducted was done so with the purpose of making sure it comes out a certain way. But, that’s not actual research.
He first looked at the typical age range for both. The average Black male in college is 18 to 24 years old. The average Black man in jail is between 15 and 55 years old. “This is truly an apples to oranges questions. “But to be fair to all the people that we asked the question of, lets just look at the sheer numbers, regardless of age,” he said.
He added up the total of men in prison and those in jail. They totaled 801,995, as reported by the Bureau of Justice and Statistics in 2005. However, the Department of Education reported 846,000 men in college that same year. So, there are truly more Black men in college than those incarcerated.

Additionally, Morton asked the question—based on a 2003 CDC study—”What is the number one killer of African Americans?” Some people said diabetes. And yes the numbers are high—12,892 died from diabetes that year. But that puts it in fifth place. Others said it was high blood pressure and stroke. Yet, stroke is the fourth highest, killing 18,806 people. There were some that guessed cancer as the leading killer. And though 62,660 people lost the battle to cancer in 2003, it still wasn’t the number one killer. Cancer is the third highest killer. Those that guessed heart disease and heart attack were close. It comes in second place, taking the lives of 77,732 African Americans.
There were many that said homicide and Black on Black crime. Several said that AIDS must be the number one killer in the African American community. A few guessed that it might be drugs. But, though they are among the top 10, those answers were still incorrect.
Absolutely no one guessed what the center reported as the number one killer of African-Americans . . . a killer that took the precious lives of 363,024 Black babies . . . abortion.
But why should we care? Doesn’t that mean that thousands of children will not be born into broken homes? Doesn’t that mean that there will be less children living in poverty? Not necessarily. According to the film, what it does mean is ‘genocide.’
“I think the crazy thing is, if you’re gonna argue pro-choice and pro-lie, then you’ve been hoodwinked and bamboozled, just like Malcolm said. What you need to be concerned about is the fact that, if it’s not killing Black people, why is the CDC tracking this?” said a guest on the film.
Pastor Clenard H. Childress, author of No Shepard’s Cry and director of BlackGenocide.org, says that abortion is allowed to continue in order to control the growth of African Americans and cause the numbers to decrease.

The video says that main stream media has been the catalyst for such stereotypes for several years and they have been driven deep into our psyche. But a stereotype cannot live on words alone. There is always some element of truth. The news helps to bring these incidents to public attention. And the viewers respond to the sensationalism.
Furthermore, it is through this coverage and media’s love/hate relationship with hip hop and gangster rap that the Black community has been told that it’s okay to get angry and respond with anger. People are being told that its only way “we’re going to overcome.” But it’s too easy to act on anger. And what’s more, “whoever causes you to become angry, can also control you,” The film wasn’t just talking about the media and society’s control, but Black leaders as well.
Morton’s video says that Black leaders exploit the Black community. He explained that racism and hatred exist everywhere on all levels “and if your job is to tackle racism, you will always be employed.” But in reality, the Black community is no longer bound by racism. It, as a whole, can accomplish what it set out to do. Yes, there is still prejudice and acts of racism, but the community doesn’t have to respond with violence and hatred.

But prejudice goes both ways. The video also discussed how the Black community, with the memories of the past and in its struggle to assimilate into society, has developed bitterness toward the white community. It’s not uncommon for people to refer to high achievers—such as straight-A students, families who move to an upscale community or individuals who climb the corporate ladder—as “White,” when they are simply striving to be their best.

Nobody knows blacks better than blacks themselves. Once blacks get power over other blacks in a black jurisdiction, they wind up implementing a lot of the “Jim Crow” and “segregationist” system that they fulminated against in the past.

This is a very interesting article and deserves a thoughtful response. My friends’ theory is that the hard-core radicals in American society turn against groups that fail to live up to the hopes of the radical vanguard. In this instance, for all the social problems that black Americans have, their leadership has turned decisively against revolutionary notions and largely abandoned urban black Americans.
This has happened before. When white Americans who were blue collar and unionized workers turned against the plans for them laid out by the hard-core revolutionaries, we saw the campaign of defamation against such white American men, most notably with “All In The Family” and its spin-off kin. The hatred against blue collar white workers is intense. Note that even Peggy Noonan saw fit to pile on when Hillary Clinton addressed blue collar white American workers with respect. Noonan had a fit. It’s unlikely that Noonan has a revolutionary bone in her body, but she has internalized the loathing by those hard-core types who steer the dominant media culture and the corporate entertainment culture, and she regurgitates their hateful memes to please her masters. (A clue to determining who is in on this is any white American person who openly and freely chooses to use labels like redneck, hick, hillbilly, etc. That’s part of the deal.)
Now that the natural leadership element of black America has left the plantation and moved to the suburbs (for whatever reason and on whatever basis), we see that they want the house and picket fence. Ten years ago, a claim by Jesse Jackson would have created quite a stir. Now, no one in media or entertainment really cares. In fact, a campaign to play down the Atlantic crossing, etc., is underway (to give pride of place to another historical event) along with a “blame black Americans” campaign. One way to see this is to observe that the grievances of black American spokespersons get no respect any more. On the Left Coast, we have the spectacle of the local NAACP president silent for 50 weeks every year and then come out of the racist closet for two weeks to complain about profiling which is promptly ignored for another 50 weeks.
It is now the suffering of three groups (gays, women, and Latinos) that is featured. That will change as soon as somebody notices the counter-revolutionary efforts by gays to re-take urban centers. It’s called gentrification. Gays will fall off the wagon of favored potential revolutionary groups soon.
So will Latinos when it becomes clear that most want the house and picket fence ASAP. They’ll leave a residue in urban centers but a far larger segment will be in the suburbs before too long. So they’ll lose favor, too, and acquire a campaign of defamation.
Women have engaged in a university-enhanced circular line of reasoning from which it may be very difficult to free themselves, so perhaps in 25 years we’ll have the spectacle of revolutionary, gun-toting women militia. Hey, it could happen.
But the main idea here is that the campaigns of defamation claimed here seem to follow, not precede, the failure of a group to accept a truly revolutionary role. Goodness knows that we have plenty of social disorder in the wake of the hard-core revolutionaries’ various efforts to convert a group into gun powder.

This kind of article gets recycled every 3-4 years. It does harp on the biggest issue of the destructive culture permeating the black comunity and is now making it’s way into the rest of American society. The article doesn’t comment on the affect of the Welfare state and how it subsidized illegitamacy. Still maybe it’s a hopeful sign things will change soon. Things will certainly start changing in 2017 when Social Security starts bankrupting, so the sooner black and everyone else clean up their acts the better we’ll all be.

Media does not control all people but it seems that’s what you think, that blacks are so weakminded that they just blindly follow whatever ‘white media’ feeds them. But could be true since their IQ and emotional level is low.
Why do you think most of the asians don’t seem to be so weakminded???? Huh? They are portrayed in all manners of negative manner and barely in the media but yet the asian kids seem to be doing great and kickin’ your ‘true american’ butt?? Why why why. Blacks are a stereotype. Their behavior is universal and everyone who is exposed to it draws the same conclusions.
Blacks also demand to be shown as stereotypes. That’s the origin of the phrase ‘keepin’ it real’. When blacks aren’t portrayed as stereotypes, they complain that movies and TV aren’t ‘keepin’ it real’. Know what i’m sayin?

This seems to be saying things changed for the worse for blacks as a whole in the 60’s. What was the major change? Why, the very influence of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X who are sainted here… Just pointing that out. That was a long time ago, I have no problem with them being beautified in the here and now. Let’s concern ourselves with those instilling hatred of whites and their culture, and white-guilt, today. For surely what MLK and Malcolm X began back then is even more insidious today.

Marx, Lenin, Trotsky adored and worshipped the peasants when they thought they could use the peasants as revolutionary troops to overthrow the Russian government. But as soon as the commies realized that the peasants prefered to hold on to their few acres rather than move into a prison like collective farm run by idiot intellectuals and thug prison guards who knew nothing of farming, Lenin embarked on a policy of genocide of russian farmers.
The 1930’s revolutionaries loved the poor white southerners. They had had all sorts of commie training encampments in the applachians. The white southerners avoided these encampments but MLK, Rosa Parks, Rev Abernathy all went through the applachian commie training camps. They even took over country wester music, relabelled it “folk music” and with the weavers, burl Ives, Arlo Guthrie actually made country western music the vanguard of their revolution.
It didn’t work. So now every idiot intellectual absolutely hates white southerners rich, poor or whatever.
And of course they have never gotten over their hatred of the labor unions led by Walter Reuther and others who booted the commies out of the labor movement. And their suppport of blacks pretty much ended under the double whammy of the Rodney King riots and the OJ trial when the blacks revealed what they really thought of whites.
I have always thought that the idiot intellectualls environmental hysteria comes from the fact that idiot intellectuals can never control the humans they select to be their revolutionary front groups. After all, the whales and tigers can’t really speak for themselves, let alone the trees and worms and weeds and imaganery wetlands that the governemt seeks to take over from private land owners.
Of course what most concerns me is the hatred of working and middle class whites. Unfortunately, the white hating intellectuals have taken over the judiciary, the legal profession and state and federal governments and the whites are now experiencing a sort of genocide that will soon make us disappear.

Yes, the media DOES distort black male images, but any fool knows the misrepresentation is in their favor for they depict black men as psychiatrists, scientists, etc., when reality clearly shows they cannot attain even high school educations legitimately. They have to be awarded diplomas, if they stick around long enough, because they certainly can’t earn them by learning the subject matter.
To flim flam the public with distorted black figures has got to negatively effect blacks when they attempt to obtain the education necessary for a professional field, then discover they can’t learn the required information, and wind up hating whitey, because they’re further convinced they’re being held back not by their inability but by white oppression and racism.
Black victimization has become the answer to everything to blacks. Without it, they would be required to admit that blacks just don’t belong in an advanced civilization, and that their real place is in Africa.
Today, we’re hearing the same whining about lack of black male achievement we’ve heard for as long as I can remember, which is that government and private enterprise doesn’t do enough to “level” the playing field for them which discourages them from trying, so they drop out and turn to crime.
The sooner they and their leaders face the reality that blacks fit much better in general labor than pursuits of the mind, it just might reduce the frustration and agitation they feel when they fail. I mean, there is a reason why they don’t graduate more professional people and that’s because they’re not smart enough to do the work competently. Pushing these people into positions they’re unqualified for is a recipe for disaster which is unfair to those who are affected by what they do.

The media never provoked the violent behavior of blacks in school and college. The media never provoked them to gang assault whites- or each other for that matter.
Chris Rock even said in his infamous skit that when he’s at an ATM machine he’s not looking over his shoulder for the media- he’s looking for blacks!

Jesse gets on GMA where he offers his inarticulate apology and it’s all OK. Forget the fact that a self proclaimed
representative of Jesus Christ is expressing a desire to castrate a Presidential Candidate but it’s hard to ignore that no one held his feet to the fire for conduct unbecoming a minister of the Gospel.

Let’s imagine this scenario. Franklin Graham, in an unguarded moment, says, “That Barack Obama belittles middle class White men when he talks about their attachment to guns and religion, I’d like to cut his nuts off.”
Of course I have a good degree of moral certiude that Rev. Graham would never say something like that but one can imagine the outcry from the usual torch and pitchfork toting White and Black leftists calling for his immediate banishment to a reindoctrination camp in Sinkiang.
Senator Obama and Bill Cosby said what no White person can say and the refusal of Blacks to hear the truth about themselves is astounding.

So black men think that the media distorts their image?
Try giving copies of the latest commercials, sitcoms, movies, newspapers and magazines to academics of another culture and ask them to study them dispassionately and see who is least well represented.
One group in the media consists of the surgeons, high-level managers, scientists, engineers. They are universally intelligent, hardworking, well-off and always perform their tasks perfectly without a hair out of place.
The other group consists of the drug addicts, violent racists, murderers, rapists, frustrated blue collar and low level white collar workers, unable to perform the simplest of jobs without constant supervision from a condescending supervisor.
There are two demographic classes to go with the categories above. One class is the heterosexual white male. The other consists of blacks, women, and homosexuals.
So, which group is overrepresented again?

Hey Terry, how about provide some examples of how all whites (including myself) have “systematically discriminated” against you and the brothas and sistas? I would be interested to know how I have accomplished all that.
As far as being called “racist”- yeah OK, I’ll take that description and carry it as a badge of honor, seeing as how I prefer to associate with and trust whites over blacks.

The media protects them. They never tell of crimes like the Christian Newsome murders. But rush out to report on false crimes like the Duke case, or Tawana Brawley. On TV they are usually potrayed as doctors and lawyers, rather than criminals. Their negative image is self-imposed.
